I'm Ben Thomas with an AP News Minute. Inflation at the wholesale level picked up last month, my Kempin has the number. Tire oil and gas prices stemming from the Iran War kept cost elevated. Delabored apartments produce her price index rose 5.4% in August from a year ago. That was up from a 4.7% increase in July. I'm Mike Hempin. Oil prices keep climbing. Brent Crude, the international standard settling above $107 per barrel today. And US gasoline prices are marching higher too up another 5 cents in the past day. AAA puts the national average at more than 4.27 per gallon. Home sales fell in August to the slowest pace in more than a year. While mortgage rates rose this week, a 30-year now averaging 6.76%.
