I'm Adonohue with an AP News Minute.
President Trump told this cabinet, Iran, is begging to make a deal to end the war.
They're saying to people, this is a disaster.
They know.
That's why they're talking to us.
And they're only, they wouldn't talk otherwise.
But they're talking to us because they've got a disaster in their hands.
They're defeated.
They can't make a comeback.
Iran and the U.S. appear at an impasse, with each side hardening its position.
Today, Iran is tightening its grip on the crucial strait of hormones.
Oil prices have moved higher.
Stocks are lower.

go down more.

I think they have confidence in maybe the American president and maybe the people sitting
around this table.
The president vowed to strike Iran's power plants if it doesn't fully reopen the strait.
