0:00I'm Ben Thomas with NAP News Minute. A brother and sister charged after an explosive device was found outside the home of U.S. Central Command. U.S. Attorney Greg Kio says a man who fled to China after allegedly leaving an explosive device outside McDill Air Force Base has been indicted. Ellen Zhang, he's charged with attempted damage of government property by explosive, making a destructive device and possession of a destructive device. Agents say Zhang planted the device on March 10th, then made a 911 call saying there was a bomb at the base. He and his sister bought tickets to China and were gone by March 12th. It was March 16th before the device was found. The FBI safely removed the device and determined it was in fact an IED. Investigators used cell phone data to connect the call to Zhang and spotted the SUV on surveillance video. McDill is the home of U.S. Central Command, but Kio says they have no immediate evidence that Zhang was working on behalf of the Chinese government or any other country.
