Steve Bannon, a longtime ally of President Trump, has won a Supreme Court order that's expected
to lead to the dismissal of his criminal conviction for refusing to testify to Congress.
Trump's deadline for Iran to reopen the state of Hormuz is tonight Washington time.
The president has warned the U.S. could hit Iran's power plants and other infrastructure
targets if that deadline is not met.
Iran's parliamentary speaker, Muhammad Bagger Kalibaf, called the threat's reckless.
Meanwhile, Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson told journalists in saying,
that messages are being exchanged, adding, quote, negotiations are entirely incompatible
with ultimatums, crimes, and threats of war crimes.
President Trump is expected to speak to journalists at the White House this afternoon.
U.S. stocks held steady while crude oil prices wavered.
