I'm Ben Thomas with NAP News Minute. Financial markets remain cautious about the prospects for an
end to the war in the Middle East. Oil prices climbed today, Brent crude settling above $99 per barrel.
But stocks ticked higher on Wall Street, the S&P adding another 3-10th percent to its record,
the Dow up 2-10th percent, the Nasdaq 4-10th. And Donna Wooder reports on a rebrand for Gatorade.
For some 60 years, Gatorade's ads have mostly featured athletes, but that's changing.
Parent company PepsiCo says Gatorade wants to broaden its reach to non-athletes,
like someone looking for a way to hydrate after a long flight or someone nursing a hangover.
Food analyst Jack Doggett's research indicates 60% of customers who buy sports drinks are not
athletes, but what the functional ingredients they provide. Market research company Sir Canis
says unit sales of sports drink mixes rose nearly 20% in the year ending March 22nd. I'm Donna
