On September 9th Apple just dropped some new gear and the headline grabber is definitely the iPhone Duo, their first foldable phone. It's got this big 7.6 inch screen when you open it up and a smaller 5.4 inch one on the outside. They're saying it's inspired by the iPad's flexibility and get this. The inner camera is hidden under the display for a totally seamless look. Battery life is solid too, up to 31 hours of video playback on the main screen. On the camera friend, the Duo is packing a 48 megapixel main sensor and another 48 megapixel ultra wide with two times optical zoom. You can even use the rear cameras for selfies and see yourself on that outer display. The hinge is built tough with aluminum and over 100 custom parts to make sure it opens and closes smooth. This foldable is starting at $1,999 and pre-orders kickoff October 16th. When we've got the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, they kept the same design but the cameras
got a serious upgrade. We're talking a 48 megapixel sensor with a new aperture system that should make low light shots way better and faster. Plus, they've added more manual controls and these new photographic styles for more creative freedom. You can shoot 4K video in Dolby HDR vision and even tweak those cinematic effects after you're done filming. The Pro starts at $1,199 and the Pro Max is $1,299. The Apple Watch series 12 and Ultra 4 are also getting some love, especially with new AI powered features. There's this sound recognition that can alert you to sirens or doorbells which is great for folks with hearing impairments. They're also rolling out audio intelligence with things like live rewind to show you the last 15 seconds of a conversation as text and a Siri recap to help you remember key points from your chats. The series 12 starts at $399 and the Ultra 4 all $99.
And finally, the AirPods 5 are here with better audio, stronger noise cancellation and more Siri integration. They're claiming 50% more background noise reduction than the last generation and you can now control the volume right on the stem. The transparency mode is also improved to let an ambient sounds more naturally. These will run you $129 for the standard version or $149 with a wireless charging case. All these new gadgets are available for pre-order soon and hit stores later this month. This has been Tech News Today powered by AI. I'm Corey with the story.
