There clearly is some that behind the scenes through negotiators in Pakistan,
conversations happening.
We saw Trump allude to this proposal over the weekend.
He told reporters that, you know, after he called off a trip from U.S.
envoy Steve Whitkopf and Jared Kushner to go to Pakistan for the weekend,
said that he had immediately gotten a new proposal from Iran,
which he characterized as offering, quote, a lot, but not doing enough.

President Meanwhile tells CBS is 60 minutes.
He didn't know if he was the target at the DC Gala shooting on Saturday night.
I wanted to see what was going on.
And by that time we started to realize maybe it was a bad problem,
different kind of a problem, bad one, and different than what would be normal noise from a
ballroom, which you hear all the time. And I was surrounded by great people.
President also told 60 minutes, the White House correspondent's dinner has to be rescheduled.
I don't want to see it be canceled.
I don't want to have a crazy person.
I think it's really bad for a crazy person to be able to cancel something like this.

I think it's the first time that the Department of Justice in DC,
or I should say the DC prosecutors have acknowledged that they're not going to carry this case forward.
The case is on appeal, but after that statement, I've had a number of discussions

that the current investigation is completely and fully ended.

The British royals are set to arrive Monday for a visit hosted by President Trump,
King Charles and Queen Camilla will travel to the US this week for an official state visit.
With more, here's Bloomberg's Michelle Hussein host of the Michelle Hussein show.
From the UK government and diplomacy's point of view, it's welcome to have a kind of moment
which reminds the President that there is at least a special relationship for him personally
with the United States because of his mothers, with the United Kingdom because of his mothers heritage.
And the idea that in the period that the King's here, that he can do some of that diplomatic work,
and frankly, he's been a diplomat all his life.
But on top of that, it's also personally, there is an awkwardness for the King because of the
call for him to meet Epstein survivors and the connection that his brother had with the late
Jeffrey Epstein. Bloomberg's Michelle Hussein, speaking on Bloomberg's this weekend.
Chevron CEO Mike Worth says changes to Venezuela's oil policy are a sign of progress in trying
to attract foreign investment. The new interim president has overseen some changes in their
hydrocarbon law, which changes the terms under which companies could invest in the country.
It moves things in a positive direction. It still needs some work. It's probably not enough
to bring in the level of investment that would be desirable. So I think there's progress that's
been made. I think the U.S. has reopened the embassy. It's got some people on the ground now that
are interacting with the Venezuelan government on a regular basis. Venezuelan government seems
to be very interested in more U.S. investment in the country.
Chevron CEO Mike Worth, speaking on CBS's Face the Nation. And so far this year,
Chevron shares are up by 21.5%. And that's news when you want it with Bloomberg news.
Now I'm Charlie. How to attempt this?
