$750 million for the renovations, that also stretches their lease all the way to 2055.

Not everyone was on board though, critics pushed hard for a public vote on the matter, saying

residents deserved a direct say.

This builds on a plan voters Greenlit back in 2004, and officials promised no new or higher

taxes for folks at home.

Meanwhile, leaders are hyping the boost to the local economy for years to come.

The stadium has called Arlington home for the past 17 years, ever since the team bounced

from Irving in 2009, so this keeps that economic engine humming strong.
