On April 1st, a 26-year-old man from Berry faces charges after a heavy-armed police response
in Ratcliffe on March 30th.
It all kicked off around 2.15 p.m. on Stan Lane, where reports came in of a disturbance
and threats aimed at a local business, leading to a fall.
Lockdown.
Cops rode out in force, including counter-terrorism firearms, officers and incident response
teams, taping off the whole area for about six hours, while they handled the situation.
The community saw a massive emergency services presence, with roads closed and folks kept
back as things unfolded.
No one heard, but it shook up the neighborhood for the afternoon.
Now Ben Mason's been hit with two counts of breaching the Public Order Act, and he's
out on bail while police keep digging.
His next court date set for Manchester Magistrates Court on July 27th, so we'll see how this
plays out as more details drop.
