Of course, look at what Michaela Teta had to say after the game is really interesting
stuff.
I think on every chia say who had a superb night.
Wow.
What a goal.
What a goal.
It's one of those goals is that you just make some weird noise when it goes in because
it's just so unexpected and the sheer power of it just kind of left you completely stunned.
Well, that's certainly what I did.
Anyway, so we'll talk about loads of bits and pieces about that.

Right.
Let's talk about the game last night.
Shall we 2-0 Arsenal win as they were the go in the first half,
rice with the gold in the second half, both for them outstanding on the night.
And just a really, really good Arsenal performance.
I thought obviously the game was was pretty very, well, very evenly poised after the game in the
Labour coups in the 1-1 draw Arsenal, not great in Germany,
snatching that late draw through Caihaberts his penalty.
So there was lots to play for last night.
And there was a fair bit of pressure on Arsenal as well,
Labour coups in a good decent form of play at a draw by Munich at the weekend.
Obviously a good draw against Arsenal in the Champions League in the first leg.
And so there was a lot on the line for Arsenal coming on the back of it,
coming off the back of a really good win at the weekend,
a good morale boost in win.
I was intrigued what how our title was going to set things up,
how the team was going to look after what happened against Everton.
He made a few changes.
Obviously, your course came back into the starting line up.
We saw Ben White on the right back, which I was really, really happy about.
And I thought Arsenal played well.
I thought they played very, very well in the first half.
You know, Labour coups in the keeper blasks.
It's made some fantastic saves to keep him in it.
And there's sort of time as you're watching that first half unfold.
And he was making save after save.
You're thinking, oh, no, is it going to be one of those nights?
But I thought Arsenal would move in the ball quickly.
I thought, after the first sort of 15 minutes or so,
when Ben White was drifting into the central areas,
I was looking at anything.
Why are you doing that, Ben?
Get on the overlap.
Do what you're good at.
Google, you're really strong at it.
And then he started to do it more as half-war on.
I thought that really benefited Arsenal.
I thought the kind of sacker.
And why that link up was there.
And sacker, I thought it looked really, really dangerous at times.
Got some shots away.
But it was still drifting towards half-time at nil, nil.
Before that moment.
I mean, this is exactly why Arsenal signed every chance.
Exactly why in a game that's tight.
You haven't found a breakthrough where you can just have that player
who has that X factor who can just do something out of nothing
that can blow a game wide open.
And my goodness, me, what I got.
The noise when that went in, you can tell.
Always tell when a goal is very, very special by the noise.
It's just different.
The noise is just different from the crowd.
It's not just a roar.
It's a sort of gasp of my, what have I just seen?
It was so powerful that shot.
You know, the ball in from Trosside was good.
The touch was good.
The swivel, but that's right.
I mean, you will not see a ball here as well as that in a long time.
It was unbelievable.
Do you think that World Blasphitch was playing at that point?
And, you know, he was still diving when the board smashed into the net.
It was that quick.
It was just passed him like that.
It was sensational from, is it?
Absolutely.
I mean, you look at the player's reaction to it.
They were running up to the lever doing that.
You can tell when it's been a very, very special goal with, with the other players reaction.
And it was just superb.
And it was just what Arsenal needed at that point when the game was starting to drift towards half time.
When the hadn't found a breakthrough, there could have been a bit of frustration start to creep in.
But he does that and it just releases attention, releases the pressure and gives Arsenal the advantage on the night, but on aggregate as well.
I mean, the game wasn't over at that point.
Obviously, you still have to go on and finish it off.
You're talking in the press room downstairs at half time.
We're like, you know, get go early in the second half and really, really sort of kill this game off now.
But Lavercuse was stubborn.
I thought they were good over the two legs, Lavercuse.
And they didn't quite have the quality that Arsenal had, but I thought they were, they were a decent side.
And it was a proper, proper contest, I thought.
And, you know, as I in the first half, his moment of magic sort of broke the game open.
And then it was rice in his moment of magic in the second half.
They really sort of killed it off and gave Arsenal that advantage.
They never really like surrendering at that point.
He made this goal.
Looks so, so easy.
Declan Rice.
So easy.
And it really was not everything had to be perfect to bring that ball down, that real high ball down the way he did.
Sort of continue on in his run.
And then the finish was just outstanding from Declan Rice.
Just passing.
He does that sort of thing in the warmups.
You watch the shooting drills before the game and watch what Declan Rice does.
He does that sort of finish time and time again.
It's all about practice.
It's all about precision.
And it was just a brilliant goal from Declan Rice.
One, the first time you see it, that's it.
Okay, go.
But the more and more you watch, he's like, wow.
Everything that he did was perfect.
From the moment that high ball went up into the air.
From the moment he put it in the bottom corner, he just did everything perfect.
And if he didn't, he wouldn't have scored.
It was just such a good goal that he made look so easy.
And it was now standing performance from Declan Rice.
And that just gave Arsenal the breathing space they needed at that point to
to have a two-go advantage.
It's three-one on aggregate.
He never felt like they were going to let it slip at that point.
Obviously David Ryan made that fantastic save later on to keep the clean sheet intact.
But that was kind of the only time that Labour coups and ever really threatened.
Score and a go.
I thought Arsenal kept him at arms level very, very well.
It was a really solid performance.
There was lots of good performances on that.
Obviously as in.
And Rice, I thought we're outstanding.
The two goal scorers were by far away.
Starman, I know Declan Rice got Man of the Match on TV and got the official Man of the Match award.
But I thought as it was Man of the Match, he was my Man of the Match anyway.
But I gave, we'll get to my ratings in a bit.
But I thought as a, he's just his all-round game.
Obviously the goal was fantastic, but he's all-round game.
He just looks like a player who is really beginning to find his place now in this Arsenal team
and understand exactly what he's needed from him.
I thought he was excellent.
I thought Victor Yocchris was fantastic as well up front.
I worked so hard.
Victor Yocchris for the team.
I thought his touch was really, really good throughout.
I just saw he had a really good game leading the line Yocchris.
There was lots of good performances as well.
So like I said, I'll get to my play ratings in a minute.
I mean, you look at the numbers behind the game.
21 shots to Arsenal.
Interesting.
The Labour Cuisine, absolute dominated possession of 58%.
But obviously a lot of that was in their own third.
Really, or certainly in their own, in their own half in Arsenal 1.75 XG to Labour Cuisine
just over 0.5 21 shots to 9.
12 on target for Arsenal.
That's their most on target or their joint most on target in all competitions in a
certainly all season, but in a fair while I think as well.
So they really did test plans, which in the go, which was which is what you want.
So I thought our title was very interesting on his after the game.
Obviously was a big talking point in the post match press conference.
He was asked, you know, is he found his rhythm now?
Is that what we're seeing from his?
He said, yes, he is playing.
I think every three days now he has a rhythm and I'm the standard of his teammates as well.
What we want, especially his level of activity within without the ball in the spaces that he moves.
And the purpose that he's showing every time he's in and around the box as well.
It's a reason why he's here to create those kinds of moments.
I asked about how he settled in.
He said, I think he's building a better chemistry, a better understanding with all of them.
We start to understand him much better.
When you start to make a good game, a good action and action that can win the game.
That lifts the conference as well.
That's what every player's needs on whether it's not just his, you know,
sort of ability in and around the penalty area that is improving.
But he's pressing game that is improving.
I thought this was a really interesting point.
This was in response to question from James Bench.
He said, without that, you don't have any chance to play in this team because everybody does it.
And that's the magic of it.
And the reason why we are so consistent when it matches and preventing the opponent to score.
He couldn't do it.
If he couldn't do it, I would never demand it.
He can do it.
He's willing to do it.
And he's doing it better and better every day.
I thought that was really interesting.
And I think you're seeing it from as they now, as well, what he's talking about there.
And like Michele says, you know, Arsenal's success and the quality there have the ability.
They have to keep teams out to keep clean sheets and to, you know, limit the amount of threat on damaged rise goal.
Is their work ethic and their ability to win the ball back to press to constantly turn it over.
And I think as it in the early days, what we saw in those sort of post-aston villa game,
when he let Mattie Cash go and his sort of off the ball work was was drawn into question.
And he didn't really see him for a fair while after that.
You know, that was a very poignant message from from Arta,
sort of a pointed message took from Arta to really like, if you can't do that,
you're not going to be a success in this team.
You can be as good as you want to be on the ball.
And you can do these magic moments.
But if you don't work like everyone else in this team, you're going to really stand out.
And you're not going to, you're not going to make it long term.
And I think what we're seeing from as a now, and the reason behind a lot of his improved performances,
is just how, as Michael says there, how active is he is in the game.
It's not just about those moments of flitting around and being a bit of a, you know,
an ex-factor as I've called him, but he's also the stuff off the ball that's so, so crucial.
And I think he won the ball back more than any other player in the final third yesterday.
Which is, you know, exactly, you know, it's really, really impressive stuff from as it,
which isn't something that we've kind of known from him.
But we've seen that sort of thing from him a lot in recent games as well.
And he does seem, you know, whereas before games kind of passed him by a little bit,
it was a bit of a passenger.
You're not really seeing him now.
You're seeing him very much influenced games and get on the ball a lot.
And you sort of the weekend against Davidson, you know, how many shots he got away.
He was always on the ball.
Always dangerous in that game.
And I thought he was again yesterday.
So yeah, I thought those, those comments from our veteran,
as they were really, really interesting.
And as I was speaking after the game as well, about it and we're out of this sort of understanding
how he's growing.
He also obviously limped off in the second half, which was a bit of a worry
with the cup final in mind on Sunday.
But he did say in that interview that he was fine.
And he'll be okay.
I think it's just a more, that he sort of went down after a run from inside his own half
where he got to the edge of the penalty area.
Probably should have passed, but took a shot.
Got blocked.
And he went down straight after that.
And I think it was just exhaustion more than anything else for Ezra.
But yeah, he said he would be okay.

Okay, so let's follow that up with my player ratings.
As I said, I've already given it as a man on the match,
but you can see that I've given him in Declam Rice and a joint score.
They're both level on the scores.
If you're looking at the...
If you watch on YouTube, you can see the ratings.
So I gave...
I thought that save was unbelievable.
If you put together...
I'm sorry, my throat's still...
It's getting better, but it's still struggling.
You put together a highlights reel.
And I'm sure they're out there.
I haven't actually watched on YouTube yet.
But if you put together a highlight reel with David Reyes,
the best saves this season, just unbelievable.
And this one will be right up there.
You know, I just thought it was a goal.
When the shot came in, you just thought that he's not going to be able to react
in time to keep that out.
It's just a goal.
But it's a termination to keep a clean sheet.
You can just see it in that save.
Right at the end, when he could have just...
His focus could have just been switched off of it.
It's why I'd play him in the final.
And I'll get to that a lot.
We'll talk about that in the build-ups of Sunday's final.
But I just don't think it should even be a question
in terms of who should play in goal in that cut final.
Yes, Kemper has played up to this point.
But I don't care.
I really don't care.
You play the trophies on the line.
You play your bet.
Kemper doesn't save that yesterday.
He doesn't.
He's just not switched on enough.
He's a good goalkeeper.
Don't get me wrong.
Perfectly excellent number two.
Really good sign in from Arsenal.
But he doesn't save that yesterday.
I'm absolutely convinced that goes in.
But David Reyes, react.
He's just so good.
For me, he starts that final all day.
Every day.
Anyway, I gave him an eight.
I gave white seven, Celebra seven.
I really enjoyed white.
He tied in the second half.
As I said, the first sort of 10-15 minutes,
he was drifting into central spaces a bit.
And I was looking at him thinking,
why are you doing that, Declan?
You don't need to be in a vertical back.
That's not your strength.
But they need to start getting more and more on the overlap.
And I thought you brought a lot more out of the kind of sacra as well.
So I gave him a seven.
Celebra seven.
Gabrielle and eight.
Himcapier and eight.
I thought those two on the left hand side played really, really well.
And yeah, Gabrielle led that line.
Fantasticly.
That defensive line.
Fantasticly.
He always does.
I gave him an eight.
With a bit disappointed,
he probably should have scored in the first half.
I've had a couple of good chances from really nice deliveries from
Bakaia Saka.
That he didn't take advantage of.
Zubimendi much, much better.
I thought Zubimendi.
Move the ball quickly.
He was all over the pitch.
Gave him a seven.
Rice.
I gave a nine.
I thought he was exceptional.
And he obviously kept it off with a fantastic, fantastic goal.
So I gave him a nine.
Sakaia gave a seven.
Much better from Bakaia Saka.
Look to threat.
He was going on it going on the outside using his right foot.
A lot, which is good.
It wasn't just sort of cutting in on the left,
which was sort of making,
making it life a little bit easier for the defenders at times.
He was going both ways.
Obviously,
I just thought he looked.
I think he was very,
very happy to have been wiped behind him.
So I gave him a seven.
As I gave a nine,
as am I man and match.
I just thought not just for the goal,
which was just unbelievable.
Proper take your breath away moment.
But as I said,
he's all around game his work ethic.
He's off the ball work.
He's pressing the amount of times he won the ball back in
the nature of serious.
I just sort of was next performance from him.
So I gave him a nine.
Trostard.
Little bit rusty at times,
but was a real threat.
It was kind of a fairly free roll.
Trostard had in that game is drifting away
at a place that a lot of shots.
Tested the keeping a couple of times.
Very unlucky.
Not to score gave him a seven.
Yorker as I gave an eight.
As I said,
I thought Yorker has.
Really led the line very, very well.
It's a big decision.
For our teta to make in terms of who starts at Wembley on a on
Sunday.
I think before the game,
I was fairly confident that it would be habits who would start
at Wembley.
I'm less confident on that now,
because I think your crazy performance has certainly given
our teta probably a harder decision to make than he had before
the game.
I thought it was very, very good.
Subs who came on.
Lewis Kelly came on right at the end.
Haberts came on.
Had a goal rolled out straight way of handball.
Norgard might nearly.
And Moscara all came on to help see the game out in the second
half.
But the game as a contest was pretty much over at that point.
The subs all came on after.
Rice had made it.
Made it too.
So there you go.
Riot rate.
White seven.
Celeba seven.
Gabriele eight.
And capya eight.
Zoom in the seven.
Rice nine.
Sack of seven.
Is a nine.
Man of the match.
Tross out seven.
And Yorker is eight.
I was wearing the Champions League.
This is what happened last night.
Unbelievable.
Come back.
I watched the sporting game in the press room before the
Arsenal match kicked off yesterday.
Well, I watched it.
I watched up to full time.
We had to go out to.
Because they get asked what games kicking off as extra time
was starting.
So I didn't see extra time.
But.
Wow.
What a performance.
That was sensational from sporting.
It was.
The pace and the intensity that they played.
Was.
Unbelievable.
It was just shot after shot after shot.
I mean, I think as we were getting close to the 90,
they're at about 35 shots.
It was just.
I mean,
it scared me thinking, my God, we're going to have to go there.
Now, because they beat Bode and booked their spot in the court
finals, it is going to be Arsenal versus sporting.
And I was watching that performance.
How quickly they were moving the ball.
And just the.
Just and sheer amount of shot creating opportunities.
They were.
They were having it.
It was.
It was unreal to watch.
Fair play.
That was what the hell ever come back.
The Bode looked out on their feet.
And you have to.
Take into account what's going on with Bode at a moment.
They're in preseason.
And all that.
And they did sit very, very deep trying to protect their lead.
But.
Yeah, sporting did not let them out that half.
I thought it was really, really impressive.
So they won.
That's going to be Arsenal versus sporting in the court finals.
PSG battered Chelsea.
3-0.
8-2 on aggregate.
Comfortable win for them.
Have a scale.
You're doing a business early on for.
For PSG and barcode.
It's good.
And absolutely beauty.
And obviously man city going out.
As well, but not against sent off early doors in that.
Vinicius getting a couple of goals.
Harlem scoring.
Fort Sissy.
So it's going to be by and Munich versus Rao.
In the next round that that is going to be a hell of a match.
Arsenal versus sporting.
Of course with the second leg.
At the Emirates light moving on to a few things.
What you guys have had to say in response to the game last night.
Warwick says high charge.
What a performance.
No question today from me.
But I hope you ignored journalistic professionalism and celebrated
as a goal.
Was wherever you have any.
Side eyes from the Labor Cousin.
And.
Press back.
Press back.
I.
I didn't celebrate it.
But it just.
I made a noise.
I don't even know what noise it was.
But you know when you said you're watching games.
It happens all the time when you watch a game and a goal comes out
and nowhere where.
Even if you know it's not an asking game watch on TV.
You just kind of let out this weird sort of stunned.
Noise.
Not really a scream.
It's just like a shop's noise.
And that was kind of what I did last night.
It was just one of those.
And I was like,
you know,
I want to work out and work out my game too.
But I was kind of like.
But I'm just great to sing as soon as I live.
Sound.
Stunned.
Noise.
Not really a scream.
It's just like a shop's noise.
So that was kind of what I did last night.
It was just one of those slot my God.
And then you sort of all eyes on the tv to watch the replay.
To aí work out exactly what you've just seen.
It was.
It was a hell wamc.
Absolutely.
I bought as a we only see that as if he gets to run a game simple as for a
guy I think injury becoming a new dad has taken it out of him.
Look, Odegaard's not walking back into this side. There's no doubt about it.
You know, if he's fit for the final, he's not going to be he's not going to be
starting at the weekend or whatever happens and that's great.
That's what you want. You know, it's taken a while for us to really get into
this team, but he's found his groove now. You can see that and he's settling
in more and more. I think the team are understanding him more and more
than that's great. And that's what you want is competition.
You know, Odegaard's going to play a hell of a lot of football.
He's back. No doubt about it. But yeah, I agree. He doesn't just walk back
into this team. McCormick says, I know we can't move him yet due to injuries
and playing well where he is, but that free roll on the left that Leo ad
tonight is made for as a drifting wherever he likes and picking up pockets.
Also, he saw glimpses on that sack of white parts. It's tonight. I miss it.
Yeah, I mean, I get that as I think that role does work for
as a and you know, I've said many times, I do feel like on the left hand side,
there is an opportunity for us to see as there and then you can get him and Odegaard
on the pitch at the same time together as well, which will be really, really interesting
to watch. Charlie says, springtime EBS is here. What a player and quite simply
in deck from Rice, Arsenal and England, the bless to have the best center midfielder
in the world and the world on the fullbacks. I like the idea of white and
capyae in Timber and Calfuria's pairs gives us the opportunity to pair a better
attacking fullback with a better defensive fullback, which is not to say that white
and Richie are weak defenders at all, but Timber and capyae may be slightly ahead in that sense.
Beverly says, well, two goals from open play and a good convincing win. What are some of those
bias pundits going to moan about now? No set piece goals, no dark arts, just a good
honest, hard fought win. Absolutely. Garhang says, what a way to win the game last night,
as a goal came out and nowhere reminded me of the goal that on Rescord of his flicking
volley against United, an amazing display by Declan as well, and his goal just cut through
Lavercose and like a dagger struck with precision. How lucky we have been to be treated such amazing
goals this week. Yeah, that is true. It's been a great week in terms of goals and moments
for Arsenal. It absolutely has. Aram says, when the other transfer room is surfaced in the summer,
you said it had a little stardust to the team. His goal against Lavercose and was made of
stardust and it was all the different Rice's goal as well. Sometimes it requires something
spectacular to exploit the fine margins in the march to a trophy and ask no more than capable
of their spectacular. Rob says that was a proper performance. It looked like we had some confidence
and swagger back when we went forward coupled with our defensive stability to wonderful goals
from open play. The haters will be gutted. Let's hope we take that into Sunday. I'll be there.
I'm nervous already. Absolutely, Rob. We're going to certainly be building up to that final now
on this channel. Finding out a few more Ricky says, Ezra and Rice will deserve to get the flowers,
but your career is fantastic. Hold up play and link up play superb. If others had their shooting
boots on, he has a couple of assists to Taylor says, hey, Charles, first time writer, long term,
listen, a short one from me, but Ben White added so much directness and a certain amount of chaos

buying Ezra. He doesn't score enough set piece goals. Only nice open play ones. Absolutely.
And Michael says, Charles, will Arsenal charge Ezra for the damage his shot would have done
to the net? Maybe so, maybe so, but I'm sure, sure, he can afford it. And that's it for me this

inside Arsenal patreon member, you will be able to watch the press pass show that will be going on
a little bit later on today. I'll be sitting down to record that very, very soon with Sam
and with Simon, where we'll look back on last night in a lot more depth and we'll certainly focus
a lot on the cut final and some of the decisions facing Michaela Teta. So until then, keep it real,
everyone. Enjoy your day. I'll speak to you very, very soon. Bye-bye.
