Auburn's Frontcourt: Transfers & New Faces

On April 20th, Auburn's front court just got a mixed bag of news.

On Monday, freshmen forward Sebastian Williams-Adams dropped a surprise on social media, saying

he's entering the transfer portal.

This comes right after he announced he'd returned to the Tigers earlier this month, leaving

Coach Stephen Pearl's staff scrambling to plug another gap.

As a rookie last season, the 6-foot-8 Williams-Adams stepped into a big, do-it-all-roll.

He flashed serious potential, locking down guards on defense and pushing the pace like

a young LeBron, but hit some rough patches in southeastern.

That shakeup hits hard for Auburn, marking the third main rotation player to Bolt via

the portal after guards Elijah Freeman and Philip Jobich.

It creates real questions about depth of front, especially with a guy who oozed talent

despite his ups and downs.

Meanwhile, the Tigers countered by landing two solid front court transfers the same day.

Thomas Dow from Troy and Owen Freeman from Cradon both committed, bringing size and experience

to help rebuild the lineup.

Pearl's crew has their work cut out, balancing these exits with fresh faces, but the portal

keeps spinning for Auburn as they gear up for next season.
