Energy Minister Chris Bowen says supplies are stable nationwide, with deals struck to

release more fuel into shortage hit regions.

He stressed no knee for rationing right now.

The crisis has spiked airfares and disrupted supply chains due to issues in the strait of

hormones.

Tourism took a hit with cancellations from Middle East travelers, mainly in Sydney, Melbourne,

and Brisbane, plus spots like Kangaroo Island and Uluru.

Still, occupancy rates are holding steady as some stranded visitors and crew extend their

stays.

Freight companies are under heavy strain, from soaring diesel costs, their main fuel source.

Some are even parking trucks instead of hauling goods amidst supply woes.

Industry leaders say this adds massive pressure to an already stressed system.

Bowen noted Australia's reserves cover 39 days of petrol and 33 days of diesel, but

building to 90 days would cost billions.
