Badgers' Spring Practice: New Corners, Strong RBs, & Special Teams Surprise

On March 26, the Wisconsin Badgers wrapped up their fourth spring practice on Thursday

morning, their last before a two-week break for spring break.

This session ramped up the contact with some competitive scuffles and trash talk, though

much of it focused on special teams and walkthroughs rather than full team drills.

Young defensive backs grabbed the tension, especially the four new cornerbacks from the

transfer portal.

At six feet three inches and two hundred and two pounds, one standout showed good size

and speed to match quick receivers, giving the group solid depth.

Early on, the running back room looks even stronger, heading into next season, despite

losing a couple players to transfers and another to injury.

New additions from Iowa State and USC broke big runs, while returner Daryen Dupri appears

fully healthy and speeds through Nate Palmer from TCU welcomed.

A surprise and special teams came from sophomore walk-on Harrison Bortalodi, who handled

puns cleanly with burst and elusiveness.

At five feet nine inches and two hundred and two pounds, he also scored on a long offense

run, positioning himself as a contender if the top returner shifts to receiver.

Coaches have plenty to build on during the break, with these early flashes signaling a competitive

roster ready for more contact ahead.
