The Baltimore Ravens lost two key tight ends in for agency.
But they reportedly brought in a big name tight end for a visit.

And thanks to all the everydayers.
The first time listeners ever somewhere in the middle.
Thank you as well on today's show.
I actually just got finished recording the show for p.m.
So I'm sorry.
It's a little delayed here.
But we just got news that David and joke who visited the Ravens today.
So we have to talk about that.
That's huge news when I've been to David and Joku in the first part of the show.
Then in the second part of the show.
The Ravens did add more offensive line help.
We'll talk about who they added and what it means for the team.
Let's dive into it.
Adam Schaefter reporting minutes ago as I'm now sitting down to re-record this.
That David and Joku visited the Ravens today.
This is big for me.
David and Joku was someone that I was hoping the Ravens would at least kick the tires on.
And Joku, obviously, I don't want to say fell out of favor in Cleveland,
but they have Harold Finn and Junior over there now.
Who I think to hear Harold and Junior is going to be an incredible player for the Browns.
I think he's going to be great.
But you know, when Joku was somebody that, you know, that's essentially your tight end one.
Now, if he comes to Baltimore, he's still all Mark Andrews.
But I think there is more pathways to targets in Baltimore.
And I think Cleveland probably just wants to make Harold and Junior their guy.
We're Baltimore.
There's always been, all right, we're going to play multiple tight ends here.
Acosta has said that, you know, they're looking for one, maybe two more tight ends,
especially with the full-back position and patch of record, not really being there anymore.
So over the course of David and Joku's career, just to learn a little bit more about him.
He is a guy that has a very long resume.
He was drafted and someone that was a first rounder back in 2017.
So the pedigree is there out of Miami.
And I mean, he's done a ton at the NFL level 384 catches 4,062 yards and 34 touchdowns.
Now, injuries have been a little bit of an issue for him over the last couple of seasons played in 11 games in 2024 and 12 in 2025.
He played in a full 16 before that.
And that was his best season in the NFL in 2023 where he had 81 catches for 882 yards and six touchdowns.
And I think this would be a perfect guy that you can fit into this offense with Mark Andrews.
And a guy like Durham Smite, where you have Andrews and Joku being really good for you is past catching weapons.
And those guys obviously can do some other stuff as well.
But then Durham Smite being someone that can be your inline blocker.
You can move around in the offense.
You can put him in the backfield.
It gives you a lot of versatility.
If they were to make this move, I think it's perfect.
And I don't know if or when this signing is going to happen.
I mean, it'd be really cool if it happened like tomorrow.
And I'm going to talk about it tomorrow.
But it's, it's awesome that they're at least kicking the tires here.
I'm actually looking and we'll do some, some research.
David and Joku for spill track and what they're projecting him.
I'm actually very curious to see right now.
So going to the Browns.
They're free agents.
Where is David and Joku?
There he is.
They're projecting him for about $10 million per season.
So about a two year 19.9 or two year $20 million contract.
I'm okay with that.
Like I am okay with the Ravens giving David and Joku a $10 million contract.
You can maybe make it.
So it's a one year contract.
You can make that deal a little bit backloaded.
And you know, that first year cap hit can be maybe five million or six million.
There's still a lot of money to play with here.
And I think investing in the tight end position.
Because in my opinion, the tight end class is really, really deep this year.
I'm not going to lie to you.
I'm not going to lie to you.
I think there are many different prospects that the Ravens could bring in.
But if you're rocking with four tight ends this year.
Having it be Andrews and Smith and then two rookies.
That personally, although I have a lot of confidence and a lot of guys in this class.
That doesn't necessarily move the needle for me.
Where I think in Joku gives you a lot of what you're missing in Isaiah likely.
I'm just looking at some of the stuff that he does really well for you.
I think that it can fit really well into what your offense needs.
I mean, the fact first of all that he is huge.
He's a massive human being.
I mean, he's six four to forty six.
He's incredible in that regard.
But he's somebody that is super athletic.
And he's someone that you can work within the open field where he just zoom.
He can zoom, zoom by.
And the yards after the catch is a really big thing.
And then Joku brings to the table.
He goes up over guys.
He's someone that you can line up in a lot of different places.
He's someone that as a blocker.
You can put him there and he can do it for you.
Like there are opportunities for you to use and Joku is a mismatch in this offensive system that Declan Doyle has.
And I think that he'd be a weapon in this offensive system.
So I am all on board for this.
I absolutely love this.
I hope it gets done.
But it's again, it gives me hope that they're kicking the tires on these guys.
Because again, I'm not really sure what the Ravens plan is in terms of now.
Fifting away from Max Crosby and all that different stuff in situation.
And we'll get to that a little bit more because there is always stuff coming out about Max Crosby.
But, you know, in Joku gives you somebody.
If it is Andrews and Joku rookie Smith.
Sign me up.
Or, you know, maybe the rookie is your your guy that you put is the fourth tight end.
And maybe he's an inactive on game days.
I don't know what that's going to look like.
But I feel like the pairing of Andrews and in Joku together after losing likely again,
you have your Cola replacement in Durham Smith.
But now I think you can get your likely guy and David and Joku and not have to wait on development in a year,
where you're trying to win.
Where we always talk about it, right?
Where for Baltimore, you know, Isaiah likely wasn't the Isaiah likely.
He is now in his rookie season.
Charlie Kohler isn't wasn't the Charlie Kohler.
He is now in his rookie season.
There's always some development process guys can make impacts as rookies.
Obviously, but I think in Joku fits the Ravens timeline really well.
I mean, he's 29.
He'll be 30 and a little bit here.
I think that's perfect.
I think it perfectly fits your timeline.
I would love this.
I would love it for the Ravens if they were to make this move.
So sign me up for David and Joku.
He's a guy that I think fits them really well.
And I'm really glad the Ravens brought him in for a visit.
We'll see how that unfolds.
Talk about the second part of the show.
We'll talk about the Ravens adding some more offensive line help.

Link description down below Danny Pinter is coming to Baltimore according to Jeremy Fowler the Ravens and Pinter reach agreement on a one year deal now Pinter does have center guard versatility.
Jesse back reporting that the deal with Pinter is a one year 2.25 million dollar contract with a max value of 2.75 million so.
It's not really anything super crazy you know it's if it doesn't work out it doesn't work out you're not going to get a ton of money here or obviously yours but it's just depth right where for Baltimore.
You were kind of putting a situation last season where you just didn't have enough depth it was something where if a guy went down or a guy wasn't performing well.
All of a sudden you didn't have options to replace them that's why I think part of the reason Daniel file alien injury will he stayed the starters and you just you didn't have a guy you trusted right and so I think Pinter does give them a lot of cool versatility right now is it stands.
There's starting offensive line would be Ronnie Stanley it right it left tackle john Simpson that left guard Danny Pinter or or Cory Bullock at center either one depending on who you favor there.
Emory Jones at right guard and Roger Rosen Garden at right tackle that's what my project is starting five would be then.
You have other guys like Ginge of or he's Carson Vincent etc who would be back up so this offensive line not done in the slightest but I think this is more of a depth move I do not believe that the Ravens view Pinter as a starter for that maybe I'm wrong.
If that is what they do and what they're viewing I'm not super sure how I feel about that is that going to be a competition between Pinter and Bullock for center and they go and you know draft another guard I'm not sure but I still do really think that the Ravens need another option now Pinter.
Pinter he has only started 10 games in his career but I again I just I view this as more of a of a depth piece you know I'm not like oh the Ravens this is their starting center I mean we're going to have to see right we're going to have to see how that unfolds but at the end of the day we know the Ravens need as many bodies as they can get on the line and even if the Ravens were to finalize their 53 man roster today I think there would still be spots on that line especially at the back up spots where I'm like I'd rather prefer a day.
They're prefer a different guy there so you know you're going through all your options you've already signed three guys and Simpson win and now Pinter it's fine for depth purposes but again these guys was Simpson he's probably going to be your starter right you gave him a three year 30 million dollar contract I'd assume he's starting for you week one but you still need a couple of other options and again like we talked about and like we have talked about if there is a situation where a young guy does want a starting job they have to win that starting job I have no problem.
With Emory Jones or Cory Bullock being your guys if they truly earn it and truly deserve it but of course it would make me feel a little better if the Ravens did bring in an established veteran but as we talked about on this morning show.
Regency does not wait for anybody or any situation and so if that is what you're deciding to do you're going to have to commit to that because if you're in some like oh we're going to see who's available still trying to figure out the market I mean guys are going off the board white teller just sign with the Texans two year deal there so if he was an option and I don't know if he wasn't not but I don't know if he wasn't.
But you know those options are slowly coming off of the board and we're kind of we're in that low period a little bit whereas the second week of for agency guys are still signing places but again it's not as fast and furious as the is the first week especially that first day of for agency but again like this signing to me it's just like a okay type of move there was reported interest between the two last week so it doesn't necessarily surprise me I think pinder came in for a visit for Baltimore last week so.
Writing was kind of on the wall there especially after it was reported I believe by Aaron Wilson that the visit went well between pinter in the Ravens but at that time it was unsure whether an agreement would be reached you know obviously losing tireland of almost a tough blow he's a great center you know obviously he has his weaknesses like every other player has their weaknesses nobody's a perfect player but you're going to have to find a true way to get upgrades on this line where I think Simpson isn't great over where he's based off what we saw last season.
But how much that's the question right and right now you have downgraded at center and I mean anything is an upgrade over Daniel Fahley right so I mean Emory Jones just him being Emory Jones is an upgrade over Daniel Fahley but again it's like how much are those upgrades especially when I think you are regardless of who you who you're going to bring in downgrade in some way shape or form at center so your goal shouldn't just be hey we're going to elevate the guard spots a little in that center position goes down and it's like a push for what it was last season because you're getting maybe a little better product.
I mean maybe a little better production in your guard spots but your center spot isn't as strong or whatnot and again I get the lender bomb pass protection stuff I understand that but you know at the end of the day I just you know I can't see a situation where Baltimore is done here I think it's a depth signing I think they're still evaluating maybe they're still a trade on the board I'm not really sure about that situation but to me I'm not sitting here and saying oh this is the Ravens last signing they're done if that was the case not great.
You know wouldn't be a great offseason offensive line wise so whether they draft somebody at 14 or make a trade or side another for Asian I probably assume you're going to want to bring in at least two if not three more offensive lineman whether it be through the draft or through a veteran and for agency or trade that that's where I would go you want to have more options and not enough right I'd rather bring in a ton of depth at a certain position and have to cut a guy that is good as opposed to only having six out of eight.
Guys that you feel confident and the other two guys like we just don't have any other guy to put in this roster spot here you take it right you'd rather have more options to cut down from and not enough options to put on your roster that you feel comfortable and I think that's what the Ravens are doing right now I think they understand their situation from my season I think they really missed patch McCary in the versatility that he gave them and so for Pinter guard center obviously I think that he has a chance here to compete but if I had to guess week one I'm probably not putting.
Danny Pinter is the Ravens starting center I think that there would be someone else but again you never know there is a possibility that he goes into a competition with just Cory Bullock if they don't interest the position at all anymore he wins that job and then you kind of have to go from there a little bit so Pinter isn't shrieking because of the versatility and again I like the versatility option that he does give them it was a twenty twenty fifth round pick so you know he's been in the league for a little bit right now he has played six hundred and seventy
snaps a center and two hundred and nineteen snaps at right guard in five seasons and he has fifty nine six offensive line snaps as well which Baltimore loves cold jacks and pulling out those stats or shout out the cold but I'm telling you like it's it's more so to me about the depth I'm not saying that the Ravens are signing Danny Pinter to be their starter that's just not where my mind is right now he is we'll have to revisit it but for now I think he said that piece and that's where I'm going with that I have here today though I'm locked on Ravens thank you so much tuning into the show on the web should like and
