Tuck, you're just finished up a put in McGanger. We've got sitting out here. He's got to dry. And then he's got a he's got a hand to go along with. Yeah, I got a hand. And then he'll be going back, going back home. So we got a special guest here today. We're fired up about. I want to be honest, I'm gonna say something real quick and I'm gonna hand it to you. This is the third time. This poor boy has had to get on here for three, three times. First time we had echo,

2:02sound like he's on top of a mountain, like a recoloured commercial from back in the day. The second time around, Mother Nature said not today and she cut our power off when we lost all internet. And today it's pretty outside and we're gonna give it the third time to charm. So Tucker, if you want anything to do, say what we got here. This is your baby. I we got a Mr. Johnny Maulman. I played that size cell last name right. Third time. It's gone. All right, there we go. And yes sir, you told it this time. You're from Wisconsin, right? I don't know what part of Wisconsin, but you're from yes sir. All right. Yep. So tag them back. This is your product that you came up with and we're trying to I'm trying my hardest to get it down into stores around here. I've been going around a little bit and telling everybody about it. And I think they've started or you've been sending me emails and stuff. So we're trying to get it in and I'm gonna have it in my shot. So it's trying to make a difference in tax. 3:04you can tell us what you've got here, but I can I've got the packages right here. We're working well through and tell them what whatever. Yes, this is the, this is for all your larger burns. Great. So you've got like turkeys swans, sand, ill grains, big geese. You've got a huge bag in here. That's like it is huge. So this is pretty much for anybody that does any kind of bird hunting. Traveling while like you can travel with these and you're going to be fine. Being able to get stuff by the taxidermists and a good like you're going to be fine. You know, freezer ready. Um, yeah. What, uh, what do you want to say about this thing man to start with? You want to you want to go from the beginning? I know the last two times. I think just started this because you're lost that your dogs last retrieved the freezer burns. So you kind of hit you hard and you decided to do something about it. Yeah, dude. It's one of those things. You know, it's more

4:04than just a bird. You know, or animal that we shoot in general. You know, whether it's a bird fish, doesn't, whatever it is, you know, um, it's more than just a bird. It's a, it's a memory and I didn't really realize that so we lost our dogs last retrieve. You know, when we finally ended up having to put down our dog and then, uh, we ended up going to grab that bird to braid to the taxidermists. It's freezer burnt. Our taxidermists say, Hey man, sorry, like this, this bird's, it's, it's junk and I'm like, man, to lose the one thing you had left is probably one of the hardest things to go through. And, uh, that kind of just stung in me. I'm like, Hey man, I got to make a difference. I got to make a product that's easy for everybody to have in the backseat of their truck. And, uh, when they need it, they got it. And when they use it, it's going to work. You know, no more guessing because everybody has an idea of how to wrap up a bird properly, whether it's a nylon sock. And I'm sure you've seen Tucker, you've seen everything. You know, they skin all their birds and I've got these, um, that's the vacuum sealed bags. Well, you put your meat inside the vacuum

5:07sealed bags. You don't put your birds in it. Okay guys, because your feathers, they're on all those vacuum sealed bags I've ever got in. Yeah, it don't take up a lot of room in the freezer when you take all that air out. But also you've got to think about it every time that that bag goes down that's messing up those feathers and most of the time on every vacuum sealed bag, like I said, I've ever had in the shop. Those feathers have little bit of ridges in them from here from the time it's on your wall and it'll be like that forever. There's no way you can get those out. But what you've got in your bags are like your, your bags that I put them in is like the biggest and best zip lock bag. Like looking thing I've ever seen is all top quality stuff, you know, but you don't only just have that bag, you've got your, um, the stuff you wrap around its feet and its head. You also got a cotton ball to go and you up the towel lots of miles to keep it kind of open a little bit. Uh, you've even got the directions in there, you know. And if you're

6:08going across state, hey, they're out there as you might get to be tag, you know, and you ain't got no excuse because it comes with a punch. It's going to help you out. And also if you bring it into the shop, it also helps the tax term is keep up with your bird. Whenever somebody brings a bird into me, the first thing I do is writhe the name on the bird and put it down on the table. But if you have this, that saves me time and it saves your bird time from sitting on the table and I can just go ahead and put it directly in the freezer, you know, because I know if it's with the tag and bags, when we wrapped up properly, if you followed all the steps and it's got all your information in it, that's it. No, you got it, man. And the big thing I wanted to do too is like, wanted some American made to like, like you were saying, uh, like just high quality. Like I want for the highest quality stuff, you know, like a lot of guys use paper towel to tell me they use paper towel on my hand. Man, that's great. At least you're using something. You know what I mean? At least you're trying. And the reason why we didn't do paper towels is because we found that when people wet it too much or use cheaper paper towel, it'll disintegrate. And when you disintegrate,

7:13then it can actually seep into underneath the skin and stuff like that and can ruin things too. So, I mean, we just went for like, hey, we're treating somebody's memory. This isn't a bird. This is a memory. Let's do it to the top of the highest quality possible, you know. They're not big at all. And if you need to, you can take it and it's resellable. So you can take it up, get the air out of it. And then you can put it in your blind bag and carry around wherever you go. Come on, like the packaging. Yeah, it's the packaging. And you've got everything down into the packaging. So, yeah, it's like a salesman like, they don't, do you get that? You get salesman vibe? I'm going to have to hire Tucker. That's all I'm saying, dude. Yeah. The last week when Mother Nature stepped in, he had a bird brought into his shop in one of your bags, not playing like just this bird. The dude brings in his bird and this then a tagging bag and I don't know what state he killed that bird in Virginia. Virginia. So, like, you know, he made, he made a killing Virginia and he used tagging bag then. And I know you probably like packaged all

8:17that and sold it and then it came all the way to me. Yeah, no, I hand packed that. You've got a problem. I've touched the parts of that. That's what I love so much is, you know, we're not a huge company, but we're trying to serve as many people as we can and help as many people. So, for me to see that is so cool because it's like, I helped him and I got to be a part of his story and preserving that memory. So, he's a, you know, you got one there, you know? Yeah, and like with these also, like if you are in the blind and you hunt and you killed that, like we're looking right now at a hybrid, there's two hybrids actually. It's a hybrid, between a snow ghost and a speckled belly, prettiest birds ever seen it. They look awesome. And, but if you're in the blind and you buddy kills that bird or if you dog's last trade, I mean, sometimes you don't even know it, you know, but if you're in the blind and you've got that package and then you're blind bag, you don't have any excuse if you're dog gun. There's going to be water around somewhere, you know, you can ramp that dog up right then when you're thinking about it

9:20and then put it back down in your bag, walk out with it and then just know that like that's just one less thing you have to worry about whenever time comes back and you're cleaning up all your stuff, you know, and you just go ahead and put that on my eyes and you're gonna be fine, you know. Heck yeah. No, you got it, man, you got it right on the money. It's best to try to get these things around the South here where they're more readily available. What, is there any certain place or what did you say? I guess where do you see the most of your stuff be? You know, where are you shipping a lot of your product to? I would say our top five states. That's a good question. I would say it's pretty spread out. Like we've shipped to 49 states. The 50th state we have not shipped to is Hawaii, but he didn't bring a bird back. I won't say you brought a ship at there, but I bet it was took. I bet they took it to Hawaii. We got a buddy who went to Hawaii. Him and his wife both killed birds there and I would probably bank on that you tagged them back and that probably wasn't shipped there, but they took it with them.

10:21I'm almost positive they used it there and brought their turkey back. Yeah. That's cool. Yeah, but I'd say our top five states are taxes. Texas is a huge state, you know. So we got taxes. I would say Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, man, probably we have a lot like a lot of Wisconsin. I'd say honestly travel a lot. So Wisconsin, yeah, we have a lot of people that travel from Wisconsin. It's like our state is like not very good on the migration side of things because we end so early so everybody's trying to get out because we end like first week in a December and you guys are still hunting for another two months, you know. So we get we get kind of jealous of that and then we're like, hey, we got to fly out and go do it too, you know. Yeah, and then our Florida boys pretty much everybody that hunts turkeys down in Florida, a lot of them they'll they'll buy a kit, you know, especially because some of the places you can go hunting out there, they charge like eight to ten thousand dollars just for one bird. So they're like, yeah, this product, this $30 product is worth it for me, you know. So yeah, I know I

11:27would say those are some of the main states, but man, it's pretty even like I could even say like, you know, our New York like New York area, Pennsylvania, like there's just there's a lot of so good out orders. It's really cool like today I shipped out five packages. What two went to Missouri, one was down to Florida, one was down to Texas and then another one down in Kansas. So yeah, that's I mean, it's just random everyday. It's cool. I'm talking about like waterfowl and turkey, but I mean, well, you've also got an open kit for a feson, and you've also got one for fish too. So if you would tell us a little bit about that, I don't have any in the shop. Yeah, no, you're good. So if I were to too bad, just cleaned up the trailer, it was a run up there quick, but it's the feson kit, the uplin kit, I really call it more or less a feson kit, because I really most likely use it for like long tailbirds. So you guys are using them for old squall and stuff like that too. But like it said, 20 inch tubes, so I know feson tails can get

12:30longer than that. The 20 inch tube, everything comes inside. Your bag is about 36 inches long, but it's thinner. You're going to have everything else, you know, even a migratory bird tag, you don't necessarily need it, but it keeps all your information on there for the record for your tax determinants and stuff like that. You're going to have all your details, all your information, all the products, same thing, everything you need. And the big thing with that is you'd use that tube and you slide it over the tail feathers to protect them when they're in the freezer. And the reason why we did 36 inch long bag and a 20 inch tube is due to the fact that people's freezers can't really handle longer tubes like with the body of the bird, because then otherwise they get too long. So what we did is we have two end caps on the tube that you can pull off. And if you need to, you can wrap the tail at the end, but it'll protect more or less the base of the bird's tail feathers. I'll probably get made fun for this, but whenever I was getting fesins brawled in last year, I would take them and take two pieces of cardboard, smash it together. But then I just learned that like, you know, if people's just going to keep bringing these

13:34fesins, I might as well just like try to go ahead and skin them out whenever the first brawl in. And right now I've got three fesintails on my wall that's drying like I dry all my fesins like a turkey saying, you know, and I put bondo and stuff in them, you know, but that's just, I just learned that whenever somebody brings one of those in from, I mean, to get them here on a trip, you know, and like, if you need to put them in your freezer, they can be put in the tube and stuff, but if I brought in my shop, I'd just go ahead, cut them tails off, give them dry up just so I know that it's not going in my freezer. I don't want that deleted. I just, I can't do it. 100% you're 100% right? Because I've got it now. I see you send a picture of it. You know what? Like I, the only thing we didn't want to do because we talked to a couple tax from some like, you think we can tell these whole like how to cut off the tail feathers and they're like, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, because, because, because old Billy Joe is going to be out there just slicing and dicing and that thing's going to be brutal. And I figure as long as I can get it

14:35to you guys. Yes. As long as I can get it to you guys and say fans like you guys will take care of it. You know, you're missing that thing just does not look right. You know, you know, yep, yep. Oh, those are cool, man. That one actually looks almost darker than the other ones. You know where it came from? Those came from I want to say, uh, a hunt preserve in Kentucky. Okay. So not any of the ones all the ones from what I want to say to one on the left came from maybe a while. Because that tail feathers on it, man, it was they're so long and most of the time on a pen raise bird, you know, if I got mud capped up on them and feathers missing. But there's those are just going to base on pretty fizz and so I got a lot of pretty color to them. They look good. They're always pretty. I like them when he mounts the fizz and but look, uh, you've been you've got a you've had a summer full of expose, right? I mean, that's your business doing the summer. You're you're you're making the rounds. Dude, I did the gauntlet of all gauntlets of shows and I am so have any more than you have on your schedule right now. You think before fall

15:43is it out of hand? Well, I have one more. I've saturday. I'm going down to Illinois for a day. That's the whole day. That's gonna be a lot of time. And then I leave for a last week. Mike, everybody, and man, and I you've told us what you're going to go. I'm gone. You can tell the folks, man. This is going to be another one because whenever you show up here after a duck hunt, we're going to have you sit here and talk about how you have done this the last can hunt. So tell everybody what you've got in on here. So so we're flying out on Sunday morning out of Chicago. We're going to fly out. Go straight to Anchorage. Come down on the keynote peninsula. And the first is opener up there for sandhills, cranes and ducks. So I think we're going to go ahead and say, he'll speak of some of those. And then dude, I'm excited. I'm so excited. And I'm not sure like, with the saltwater kind of deal. I don't know if they're going to taste any different or not, but my buddy both, both my videographer and my buddy that's a outfit, the guy up there, he made both that are like excellent chefs. It's going to be great. I'm going to sit down,

16:45have a cold beer in my hand and wait for dinner. And I can't wait. Yeah. And then day two, we are doing some duck hunting. And we're going to do some duck hunting like the second and the third. And then we're going to we're going to grab a black bear tag too. And we're going to end up, you know, as we're walking around doing fishing and stuff. If I see one on the shoreline or anything like that, I might end up chasing one down or maybe letting my video anger for Jordan shoot one, because he's always shooting videos of me. I told him. I've said, dude, if you want to shoot one, you have shoot one. You know, like I would love to film you. I say, ain't going to look as good as what you do, but I'll maybe get it on camera. Let's see the sky. But yeah, right. I'll be too excited watching the hunt. But no, so then we're doing that and doing some fishing. We're going to do some film work for a couple of other outfits up there and just go check out the scenery, man. I haven't been up there ever before. So I'm excited to tell you guys all about what, what all went down with it? We'll try another three round. And we'll see if we can't get it back because, look,

17:49I would love to see it. And I'm happy you're getting to do it. Like I hope one day we can go on a hunt like that, we've never been. Tucker's young. He's got a little bit more time to get one in than I do. But I like to see people that can go and make it happen, go. And I hope you kill and get whatever you're going for because I mean, how many times do you get to do that? I mean, I've got a lot of friends that would almost kill to try to get a trip like that lined up with connections where you can actually go do some things instead of being left hanging. So that I hope you get it all. Yeah. And I think I'm super, super blessed by God. I think that the people I've met along the way on this journey have been like some of the coolest people. And you know, you run into a couple people that maybe aren't the best people in the world. But you know what? I feel like nine times out of 10, I meet some of the most amazing people out there, dude. Like I think all of us think quite a like and you know, I think the opportunities happen as you just keep growing and talking and trying to work together to help people. I think if you have best intentions to help other people, I think good things happened. You know, something like this or wherever kind of almost like where I work

18:54at that clinic, physically, the cleaning man, three people right. And you know, there's going to be some bad apples, but we can't help everybody. And you know, if if it's like just like this, what we've been doing with this podcast, this crazy, my buddy's no, I'm an idiot, but somehow we've pulled it off and wherever, well, it takes three times sometimes. But I really think Mother Nature got us. Now the echo that sounded like you're the Ricola commercials those cough jobs. That's kind of what it's saying. That was it. But you know, yeah, I think he's laughing. I bet he don't even remember those commercials. I know. Okay. But you know, most of the people that we see, or we've met are genuinely nice. Now you know, I really have not read an Indie body who is just a jerk. And when I do, I may call you out because I don't like jerks, you know, so don't be a jerk. But I don't I don't think I've had anybody we've been in contact with. It's just not almost genuine man. And I mean from like some of the biggest company reps I've talked to to nobody, you know,

19:56just some people to have on here to let tell their stories, you know, about some stuff. And that's what this was about to try to give people opportunity to teach us some stuff, for share some stuff, like this right here, man, like you're you tagging bag. Why not share that? You know, you're helping Tuckers business out like that's it helps them. You can take something I can just see from him. I can tell you firsthand, there's been days where maybe I'm at work, I get a text from this and never going to work while I'm doing this. And then two hours later, I get a picture of a really clean bird that's mounted, you know, because this might be Fraser Barnard's blue part and that person wants that doubt mounted, you know, and some of them they bring in here are not the best. But it's just been this has been pretty good for us and most for the most part we've we've met some good people just like you said, those expos are fun, man, when you get in that, I'm sure it's a grind to get all of them when you're having to you're having to rip and push your company. Yes, that's totally different. We're we're kind of Tuckers doing it, you know, he done the dirro expo and that was just a share let people see some of this stuff you had, but I'll be honest with you,

20:57though, whenever I was hearing about like all the people that we know that have set up down there, you know, that was like, let's figure it out, it's pretty rough. But man, it was the people was so nice around us the whole time. I never met a I never met somebody that wouldn't have like a ball there, you know, like they was all enjoying it. And the people that was set up around us, they was the nicest people ever. We got to know them the whole three days we was there. I even keep up with them now on Facebook, you know, I'm Facebook, I don't ever talk to them, but we keep up with each other and it's and the people down there that was over it, you know, like those people were super nice. And if you ever had any questions, you could ask them, you know, and they just, I mean, they never looked at you like he was just dumb, you know, so he didn't want to answer you. They're just that was pretty cool. So you might as well just come to that expo, you know, market down that I'm all about meeting people like it's kind of a joke that everybody like tells me is like, you never work your booth, you know, like I'm there, I'm there at the right time. But I got good buddies that come and help me and I do I love to get around. I love to go talk to other

22:01people, other business owners and like here they're story to you know, because I'm always, I'm always looking to work with everybody I can to see like how we can help each other grow and how we can help, you know, our future clientele and you know, how we can make things better, you know, just as a as a group of people and that's that's I think feeling I feel like that's the most important thing is just working together with people because there's enough room in this industry for everybody to grow and the people that are so close minded that are like, hey, it's my way or the highway, it's my company and nobody else is like those are the people that won't won't make it, you know what I mean? And I love setting the standard like like me and talk, we're going to be setting the standard for the next 40 years, you know what I mean? Like that's that's what I want to do, you know, I want to set the standard of what a business looks like, how to treat people, how to have good customer service, how to how to actually like make things right and especially in the taxidermy world, how many taxidermists you see that say they're taxidermists and don't even, you know, don't even do their work properly. I have three birds right down in North Carolina right now

23:04that somebody has and I I paid them in full and he hasn't even given the birds back. So that's it's stuff like that, you know, there's different situations but that's where we could all set the standard of yeah, okay, so from so from a taxidermist standpoint here, I'm just going to go ahead and tell you, whenever I have somebody bring in a bird or a deer and they won't pay me, oh, but everything up front, I'll just tell them if you do not mind, set that money aside and pay me whenever you come and pick that up because I know it sounds terrible from a business standpoint here, but I feel like whenever I'm working on your bird, it's your deer that I'm literally working on this for free and I'm not going to be anything off of it, you know, you know, I've done put the money in the bank whenever I got it and most of the time there in season, I don't put any of that money in my personal. It's all going to get into business, you know, and that's just that's that's just something I want everybody to learn like if you're bringing something bigger deposit, you know, but you're going to get it back, but also it just to me, it just feels like I'm not getting anything out of it,

24:08you know, you know, what I'm saying, any, yeah, no 100%. You live in the learn, that's all I got to say, it was dumb on my end, I'm not saying it wasn't dumb, it was really dumb, but you live in the learn. Since coming in the new building here, he's had a couple folks that's kind of giving them a little bit of a run around, it's not not to the extent that that things won't ever come through, you know, but I just, you know, most of the time when you're dealing with this, you ask some kids that that brings some stuff and we're talking when I say kids, I mean some teenagers in high school, you know, and I understand you may be strapped for some cash, most of the time they understand, Tucker would know like this kid and they pull it off and if not, Tucker might help somebody. Yeah, I thought I'd got one thing I like to do is just help out a kid. But you also have these guys who pay a lot of money and may not pay a lot of money to go hunt, whether it be a deer, a duck, a turkey, a squirrel, what does it matter? It's a wall hanger for whatever it be. And like they live somebody hanging on the backside, you know, those boys got a job to do.

25:10And if you want it, you know, I've told him and I, they're, they're not, I guess you can say there's some standards in the taxidermy world, there might be different states, may have some laws, Alabama's kind of lenient on some things like it's Tucker's almost if you bring it to him, you know, and I, a deer, deer, deer, deer. But you know, people don't come pick those up, dude, you know, he, he says, I've seen him sit months. I'm still sitting on months right behind this nobody can tell you, but I'm, that on since last December, you know, when Hanseys and rolls around here in Alabama, again, this year, the room in here kind of gets, kind of gets, it's scarce. Okay, so, um, one day he's going to have to add under this shop and that'll be great. That's a great problem to have. We've already got some, some material to try to do a lean to this year for some work that we could do outside. But you know, I've told him, I was like, dude, I say, I mean, a month is lenient on the front side when you kind of agree where you're going with it. A month in my, if I know I'm waiting on a deer or something to be returned, that's pretty lenient. You go two or

26:13three months, I'm almost ready to say, hey, man, tell them they can find them in that shed at our house, the one that's not, they're not climate controlled and hope that the rat has an agent because I mean, that, you know, these people you take, not just him, man, any taxidermists that, and I see people, I buy ash taxidermia. I know so many taxidermists now and every single person that I know that's in the taxiderm ministry has ran into this problem that he's about to talk about every year. But it's just, you know, if, if I'm going to take mine to the guy, as quick as I can, I get that cash to the side. So when he calls me, he's not waiting. I've never been more, when I've had, before Tucker got into this, when I had a deer mounted, or those ducks, when the guy sends me the message or calls and says, hey, it's ready. Crank up the truck the next day, the next day, you'll be in my house because I owe that guy. I don't like to owe you, you know, and I owe him. So I go pick it up. And now it'd be Tucker. I'll have to owe Tucker, I guess. So maybe it won't be as much as I can do the hard work. I'll see. It will be all right. You know, man, I just, I get, I get a little disgusted, but I'm talking with anybody, anywhere you

27:18live, if you've got somebody that's sitting you two or three years out, yeah, that's a problem, you know, and maybe something happened in their life and their, their business is kind of sick to you. And sometimes in life, that's important to you, right? And I get, yeah. Yeah. And I understand it too. That's why I just leave it as a grain of salt. It's a living and learning experience for me. But no, but I just see you guys know, I don't know how much I told you guys about it, but I am coming out with something to kind of solve all these issues. But we'll talk about that off the air. We'll leave you guys hanging on the air. This year, this winter, this one season, they're not customers are going to bring it in and they're going to have to sign a little waiver, you know, on the bottom, signing and showing that they've read all the information. And there's maybe a storage fee if you don't come pick it up the amount of time and a month, you know, like you don't come pick it up. I'm sorry that I'm having to put it in place, but there's so many tax terms that I know of that have that and they can't have people, people,

28:19they can't get people to come pick their stuff up and these waterfowl, you can't, you can't sell them. It's sitting here. It's sitting here. It's time. And I think a lot of these guys don't understand either. Let's say what do you charge for a bird talk? Take it for a duck, for a duck standard mile. So that's three 25. So your material costs alone. What do I mean, that's probably like I have an average. That's probably close to 150 sometimes, right? And then your time, I mean, your time, dude. And that's the biggest thing too. You got to realize like when you don't have a bird that's wrapped up properly, you don't even have to work on it more. You're going to have to soak it longer more time, more effort. And at the end of the day, it's like how much am I making per hour at this point? You know what I mean? And that's that's a lot. I don't not say and you got to charge more. I'm just saying in general is a lot of people don't understand that last bit of money that you're going to pay them. Yes. Is there work for the last, you know, a couple of weeks? You know what I mean? Like that's how people can live. So I think what you're doing is right. How to grapp and point right there. But like, yeah, start it. Start it right. 29:24that happening. I'm like, dude, I would call these guys. You're just so much nicer than me. I'd be like, they find it in my shed out there. I hope it doesn't get eaten by the rats. But I mean like you grow man. Come on. You know, I mean, if you're laid up in jail or something and can't come get it. Okay. But what the crap? You know, sometimes I mean, sometimes you'll run into that person, you know, they're going through a pretty hard time. Right. Some nice and their families got down and they're having to help them. That right there, I completely understand. I'm not going to complain one bit. You come whenever you've got time and want to break away from that. And if you don't have money, I mean, you know what I'm saying. Stuff like that. I understand about 100%. But if you hear that guy, 100%. I mean, everybody has a job, you know, almost almost my house job. And people, most of the time, people find time to come pick it up. But if you hear that guy, you know, I'm working at five days a week. Well, those two days, I can set time aside. So you come and pick it up. You know, but it's all right. You know, but it's just something that it gets me every. You got to think about these taxidermists too, man. There are a lot of them are alone in the shop.

30:28And if there's one thing that can get on your mind, this money, right? So if you think about that one guy who has put his whole day, or maybe two or three days of preparation on whatever animal you're working, he has. And now he's staring at it all day. He's staring at it for eight to 12 hours a day and knowing that that's some of the gum won't answer that message that he was all messaging about. Yeah. Somebody can get pissed pretty quick. You know, that can change into the morale quick. But either way, back to the good stuff. Yeah. You can start off on a good hand with what we've having the taked and bagged and get your birds in them and do it right. So we've got a lot of the buddies that do turn you got a lot of new travel, man. There's a lot more people local to us. The more that we get involved in this, you more, we learn more about what I considered myself the average guy really below average, right? I just were simple. We hunt here around our house. We lease this land. I like to do a lot of a lot of stuff. I'm not good at anything. So we started out like that. But you find out a lot of your buddies, man, are doing out of state. They're traveling all

31:30over the place to do these turkey hunts and we don't even go out of the county. You know, what I'm saying? I know that sounds crazy. The people's going out of state that we know of and talk to them every day and we don't even leave the county to go. The same with the ducks, though, man. And you know, you probably going to tell this story. And I hope you do. You talk about leaving out and the. Yeah. I'm ready. I'm ready to hear trailer coming apart on you, man. But like, I I would assume that a lot of people and if they don't, you know, if you're listening to this and you do duck hunt, we've covered a couple what now a couple weeks. It's a. Duff season is open here for us. So people we've done a we've done a recording a couple weeks ago at an ammo apex ammo, man, and they're they're all about the water-file ammo. So if you were interested in that, we're kind of sticking to the birds. I guess more so right now for the last couple weeks. Getting ready for deer. Deer season is getting close. But you know, I would just assume that if nobody has ever brought it up at your duck camp, wherever you are, I've got buddies that's got leases in different places. I mean, if you haven't discussed amongst yourselves to buy a case of two of

32:33these and have in your lodge or your whatever you call your lodge, whether it's your truck or a fancy cabin, a house you rent, a Airbnb, the hotel, dude, stick them in your toolbox. If you guys could just on the front side, buy a box of these or a case of these and have it's going to save your tail on the backside where you don't remember you get back. We had so many people tell Tuck of your last year, I guess two people talked about they brought some ducks with them right to have mounted. They're like, man, we had that one. That was beautiful. We forgot it. It's in that cooler, probably in a Walmart bag in Arkansas and Kansas. So life is a place. Stick it in this bag and put it in what's the brand coming home with you and your cooler coming home and it'll be here. So I don't know why people and I guess maybe some people have a link to you or whatever you would tell them to get online to get on to to buy cases of these to have it at their their count. You know, because what that makes sense, man, a couple, you know, a hundred bucks up front, you got several sitting there for people to use when the time comes. Hey, you got your four pack.

So if you need anything to help and by now you should be you should know if you need equipment by now to plant some green things. 36:39Man it's a tackle bait shop that they have started through the Watt night out and I think eventually they're probably going to be in a store front. I don't know what the plans are. I hope they are. But I think he's having fun with it. The two guys that are doing this are having a good time with it. And I think they've been surprised with the response that they've had and they're able to sell a lot of a lot of baits at prices way less than the box stores and I think it's fun to get on there and try to outbid somebody. So and you're still coming out cheaper than if you're going to sound to have to go buy to the store order it online through through a big box. So anyway, give those guys a try. 37:41don't know how but they made it back because they're coming there was a storm and there was a lot in poppin everywhere and they came back stopped at the campers stayed there whenever it the rain like just kind of eased off that was back out there they love fishing and I'm just gonna be honestly I think of that would happen to me I'd call it a night gotten the camp for him just went to sleep. Would that be inside about them? They're guys that work every day just like we do and they're doing this on the side to try to you know try hey they're trying to make some money yeah I mean why do you do anything but they also were helping folks because I mean I've seen he worked to fall into try to get the process so and you understand that on your side doing business man you you got to you got to keep the lights on and you can help some folks get by so anyway thank you to all those guys and now let's let you tell us a story or two about some duck hunts man. 38:43itself too um let's go Vancouver Island first that that story is just insane dude so my buddy calls me he's like hey man you want to go do something nobody else has ever done and I said yeah and he said I've been to Vancouver Island and I was like what what is Vancouver Island I don't even know where it was dude so I was like I looked it up and it pulls me all way to the other side of the country like all the way over you know this is just south of Alaska just north of Washington for those listening and um I'm like man that's a far drive yeah it's 36 hours I'm like okay okay so uh we got the old 14 foot boat I hooked up to the truck and we're like let's let's hammer down well about nine hours through the trip we had a replacement axle in the Walmart parking lot um yeah that was brutal and uh I'm calling guides on the way out I'm like hey what do you guys think can we hunt

39:47this like you know and they're all like dude I'm telling you I called probably eight guides and seven out of the eight told me I was nuts they're set they said no way you're taking a 14 foot boat on the ocean I was like yeah we're gonna do it I think we are you know and finally the eighth guy I called is like he was an old boy he's like oh yeah you can make it happen I'll send you all the weather apps to look at all the tide bread like all the whatever all the mapping everything so we did that and he explained it all to us and how to hunt it and everything else and it worked out great man we got out there and you know we go talk to the locals out there man and they had no idea that bird hunting was a thing out there so like they it'll be to ask locals to hey have you seen ducks have you guys hover hunted they're like there are no ducks I'm like I look to my left and there's five thousand birds in a little estuary right there I'm like what do you mean and I mean all these birds just follow crab boats so you imagine now you're in a smaller boat and you're driving in the ocean going up and down and up and now over these waves man it was wild and these birds follow

40:54you because they think you're a crab boat dropping food and dude it was crazy it was absolutely incredible and the mountain views were just absolutely insane um you know another story a part of that too like we went to this one spot in the inland area and there was a little like yeah I want all my colleague an inlet that came into this lake and this inlet was like I guess when we stopped and talked to this local he said if you go anywhere near there anywhere near there they have huge roll pools like 20 foot roll pools and he said the way the water sucks out of there when the tide drops because it drops out like 14 feet out there it drops 14 feet comes out 14 feet he said if you were to get anywhere close to that 25 horse motor you're getting sucked right in and sucked down and kill and I'm like that's cute well damn and I was freaking out man it was crazy and that morning when we headed out that next day we after hearing this horrible story we go out and it's pure fog and

41:55we have to go 10 miles with this little 14 foot boat that just to get there is 10 miles and then another 10 miles back and dude it was pure fog you couldn't see a damn thing I'm telling you what we we almost ran over like 18 crab traps wrote I think we drove into like two different cliffs because we didn't know it was brutal I'm telling you I lost five years off my life from this hunting trip man and we didn't kill in a lot of birds are we shot 52 birds in five days with two guys which I was pretty happy with and shot some Harley Quinn some Barrows Goldnive we shot out all the different iters scooters we shot the only thing we didn't kill is a king item that was the only thing but we killed a lot of stuff man it was it was just so much fun to do something so different and I mean we did it as young broke guys I just just love to get out there and I think I think that's something I love to do is just kind of explain that to people is you don't need all the fancy

42:57stuff to get out there man you just got to have the heart and the desire and the the will for adventure you know yeah I was here a couple weeks ago he's talking about what Chesapeake Bay yeah it's where he was at and I think he was he was talking about being down the 16 foot boat when he was him and his buddies like I don't know you know but they pulled it off and he's like on do it we better go and he got it done and he had some he's got some sea ducks now you know and he he's from right down the road here from us so that's kind of rare for him to be able to do that so he Tucker's dead said on having some of those mounted in here in these on the wall somewhere so he's gonna have to make a trip at some point and try to find him some but yeah I'm going to a some point I don't know when it's gonna happen but what what would you say is your favorite duck to hunt or bird is it a is it a goose is it a duck of some sort of what is it on bird are key man I see I see weather cold weather Wisconsin ice last weekend big old juicy mallards bro like big green heads that like you hit them they smack the ice like it did that when you're in that atmosphere of like

44:03being able to fill your hands your feet and you're knocking down big juicy mallards dude there's something about that there's something about that and I would say it's a mixture of that and then I would say those sea ducks are incredible they are like how much they can handle I shot some birds I'm swinging boom and they skip across the water and fly away I'm like how the hell is that possible I'm like what is going on you know yeah reckon what I mean what's up with that do you think it's like I think that perception thing being in bigger water like that oh honest I think that it's like they're so I guess rugged because they live in the sea if that makes sense they're just they're used to it you know unlock a bird I mean a bird find through the timber yes now you know like they got to be used to it but they those things are living through some stuff no like you couldn't even imagine to live there you know could you imagine like the storms out on the ocean like how do they

45:03even live through that most treacherous place to like to survive I guess so cold there I don't even know how they find food eat nice yeah and like banjo of rye let it rain so 80% of the time so so like let's say five five and a half days out of seven days a week it's raining out there I just don't understand it but God put them on earth to live like that and they're living like that thrive and you know but it's just it's crazy to me that they can do that and survive yeah yeah they're incredible all animals are incredible however you want to look out so you you say the the malleards are number one as far as the ducks go for you as far as a hunt a good freezing cold well let me let me ask you about I mean my kind of hunt like deer hunt deer hunt well I want to get back to some deer hunting stuff the deer hunt very much at all I know you the time in his limb did for as far as a gun season right it's pretty sure yeah we got we got nine days nine days nine days and we're done yeah so we got

46:07from the Saturday before Thanksgiving okay to that Sunday after Thanksgiving so yeah about nine days or so that's crazy that's all we got man and uh yeah it sucks because I mean if I could carry a gun in the woods a lot more I would you know like and that's that's the hardest part well we do it traditionally we go deer hunting and I mean I've shot some decent deer nothing crazy but um I'm definitely not a professional deer hunter I did go out to Idaho and shot that bear back behind me and that was a pretty crazy hunt with a like a guide it was that you and some buddies that finally just went out and made it happen yeah yeah it was uh it was just me and my buddy I flew out there we slept in the back of his trailer and uh we just hauled the trailer around we were freelancing climbing these mountains and I'm I'm telling you you can you can see my frame right here I am not a skinny guy you know and uh walking up and down them mountains was not the best thing in the world and my buddy's so athletic by the time I caught up to him and he was taking a break he's like all right you

47:08ready to go again I'm like bro I didn't even get to pick a break you know what I mean and uh finally that last day we were coming down the mountain now is all settled in I was like hey man we didn't kill one but we saw some beautiful nature and I swear on this this is a story man so we see this big tree is a big pine tree it take about like five of us to reach around this thing and touch hands and uh I said to my buddy I said how is God not real like like that is so crazy that's such a big tree you know I took two steps past that tree and I looked to my left I had that feeling of something looking to me I was looking at me and I looked to my left and this bear is standing on my legs like sniffing us out you know and if I set the scene I'm up here the bear is down here and then it drops so it drops here goes back up to where the bear was drops back down and goes straight up a big huge cliff and uh so I ended up he turned back down and I chased after him and I ended up chasing him down he couldn't climb up that that huge cliff and I ended up shooting him a couple times and uh I mean dude I just kept chasing him through the mountains and I ended up finally getting him

48:12so I shot him three times hit him two out of three times on the run oh this is wild oh yes sir yeah it's it's just always about the epic adventures and the memories of the hunts you know and y'all've only got like nine ten days we got like four months I think it opens this opens well so November December day four months of gun season here for where we are in the portion of the state we live in it it gone season for so you have a youth season that would be a Friday Saturday is it certain Monday anyway there's two short of short of short of youth season like the weekend before our gun season opens but both season opens October 15th and stays in all the way through February 10th I believe is when it ends okay so you got that far gun season opens for us it would be if I'm not mistaken on either the Saturday before Thanksgiving all the way through February 10th and that's uh that would be three bucks and then you can have a dough a day if I'm not mistaken

49:15so there's a lot of dough a day there's a lot of deer here and that's like I told Tucker a lot of what we leased to hunt was clear cut okay this last year before last so I told Tucker I was like man if you know of anybody because after that it's gonna be replanning pines for the majority of what we hunt some of it is our property then there's two different places one of them is a little more open one of them's not we've got some fields nothing big you know nothing fancy but when you if you want to hunt in the woods but you've got a little bit of an opportunity or close to the river like some big woods but if you're not doing that and you're gonna sit on the green field you've almost got to be in a shooting house unless you're in one of the other two places because there's not a lot of big timber for a stand but the other place all that clear cut I told Tucker I said this year if you're gonna you know if you know anybody that wants some meat let's start waxing the doves because in three years we're gonna be hunting little lions again and that that really eliminates the number you can knock out and I thought maybe maybe it can turn some things around and couple years you know you never know there's there's a lot of deer here that move a lot so you

50:19you kind of surprise yourself sometimes what shows up on camera that odd times but it also gets to where it's almost like I don't want to say this because I love to go and it's hard to get the opportunity like if we're in a place where you have nine days I'm gonna say I would probably have nine days of vacation or at least seven because I would have to go every day I mean you got to I don't know how I would deal with that mentally that would be awkward I honestly think that all the companies I used to work for it was a national holiday honestly we had off we had off that Friday before and then Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and then Friday because Thursday was Thanksgiving and then yeah we it was pretty much a national holiday here for us so I was in high school uh the the day that we were having a lot of a lot of times they will hear they'll be some game ones that have come around and giving out our biology just giving opportunity for kids in school to do a hundred education class maybe an egg okay I remember that guy we were talking about wind season started and and the the guy now he may be dead and gone but I remember very well

51:23him saying that it was easy to always remember for our area when gun season came in it would be the sat on a Saturday and the reason that was was because they just decided why not let it be on a Saturday because so many people would lay out of work if if they didn't have it on a Saturday so I mean that that stuck with me so it's easy to remember they didn't make change one day you know but right now I think that's where we're at it's that day still so yeah man that's a long time and right now you have a baiting privilege for for what 15 bucks you can bait and you there's like for 15 for 15 more dollars you can do the night for like like pig or a body and stuff for for during the night you know so it's a there's a lot of freedom here as far as far as hunting you know so I don't know like can you guys bait is there is baiting legal air and no I think there's one or two counties you can still bait in but otherwise we're banned due to the CWD and now EHD's hitting the dear

52:26really bad here in Wisconsin. We have a really like Southeast. Wow. The EHD. The EHD not CWD. I've never seen CWD on the EHD. Now I don't really know the difference. I think EHD is from like some type of a nap that gets up in their nose and it gives them this disease and I don't know, but it's been bad. Like the golf course that I do, I do some construction stuff for Adam and Jobs and whatnot here on the side. They called me and they're like, hey, what do you think about all this? We're fine and dear dad everywhere and I'm like, dude, I'm just, I don't know, you know, I'm not sure how to fix that at all, you know, I think it's just something that comes and goes and we're, thank God, you know, we haven't had to deal with it, but like, I think it pretty much just waxes them out until there's some of them that can get some immunity or whatever is going on, you know, kind of like a sickness that goes through the humans, you know, and then a couple years later, they kind of rebound a little bit and maybe they, and it kind of helps them rebound. I mean, you know, they, they see the need to rebound the best they can, I guess, is with the numbers go, but that stinks, man, I, so you've seen it firsthand, all right? Yeah, and I would

53:30say honestly, I think it might even be a good thing because a lot of those guys that hunt in that specific area, I know exactly who they are and I, I don't want to see their dear guy by any means, but they don't, they only trophy hunt. They don't shoot any dose. So when there's an overpopulation of anything, I think, something that's really animals start to, you know, ween off and then grow back, you know, and I think that's just how it works. We had everybody on over here. I think we killed what? I probably said, I mean, there was a 12-year off of this. But it was, I mean, it was, well, I think you killed one and then I killed one, but it was mostly like kids that had never killed one. They would come and our buddies that needed some meat, you know, they'd come and shoot some, but it was, I enjoyed that. That was one kid that came with his dad and he was so little though, he couldn't, he couldn't shoot a gun, you know, he's so small, but we got his

54:30dad and his dad went back here and he shot a deer with it. That was awesome. We kind of struck out that morning on them. Well, I think they saw one at a long distance, right? But little man couldn't see it. The little kid didn't see it, man, we come down to let them see. Took a shot and we kind of go back behind here just to kind of check a green field that's close to our house. And I look at my phone and I'm like, oh, oh, that was a deer there. And then this day I got to get it. You know, when the kid got to see it, so he was fired up about that. That dude was fired up. Hey, yo, what's going on? Man, you know, whenever they're not half on. Oh, yeah. Like he was, we're, that is so cool. They're going to come and they look at these deer on the wall. He's like, yeah, I mean, took us like, hey man, there's a deer right back here. Let's be quiet. Let's go get it. He shot, no, no, how he hit this? It was meant to be because he shot through 75 yards of briars, freaking briars in it. Hit the deer. So it was, I mean, like the deer didn't go nowhere. It was right there. It was pretty good for the little man get to see you know, that, you know, stuff like that is what I enjoy getting, getting stories from people inside here. And it's, it was fun. That was a good year. So this year's a little different way,

55:32the cut over is a little more grown up. It's going to be hard to see some stuff, but I'm going to try to get me a good vantage point. I like to look at big area. I like that, you know, and if you're an Alabama, you don't get big area, you get, you get a 50 yard shot and a thicket. And that's almost it most of the time. If you've got open hardwoods, you're blessed because there's not a lot of that. That's a, around here, where we're at. Yeah, in our little area, here, there's not a lot of hardwoods, a lot of pines and you get a height filter too. And you get, you get some crop fields, you know, if you get that, you're, you're blessed. You've logged up. I don't know what you guys have mainly around you there, but like soybeans and corn. That's the thick and that's the ticket, you know, yeah. Yeah, we have a ton of, a ton of egg ground. I would say like really depends on where you're at, you know what I mean? Like there's a lot of like good ag fields like our best area for deer hunting is our Mississippi River side, which is Trempolo and Buffalo County. That's what a lot of people know us for. And that is a big rolling hills and cliffs and really tall tall trees and really rolling hills with farm fields.

56:36Like some of these farmers are on such a, I don't even know how they farm sometimes, you know, and they got to feel like they're just tipping. You know, they're awesome. Most of the time in the egg fields around here, you have to, most of the time you see big boats, it's when they're involved. So, I mean, most of the guys, you know, they're able to hunt those or most of the time family, you know, or got to lease around it, but they, they've got that first week or two of both season. They've been watching those deer grow all year in that field. And if you don't make it happen those first few weeks, dude, they're gone. They may not. They'll be gone miles away, you know, how they do that travel. But I mean, they'll be back next spring. That's where they go to grow the horns. And as soon as that velvet draw or all of them horns, they go. I know exactly where they go. But, you know, it's fun for us to drive like Tucker. Tucker's got a spot when he's going to his girlfriend's house in the afternoon. If he leaves out after he leaves the shop or something, I get,

57:36I get a text from there out here. That's a place where he can pass by, you know, I came up an octopus response and scope and look at him. That's a bachelor group out in this place. And it's, you know, maybe one of them shows up here. It's that it probably, I was blessed to be able to kill one. I really think, I really think one of those deer from, from years past showed up here, what two or three years ago. You know, so they're close enough that maybe one day it was show up on something we can hunt, but it's just neat to see them to see them growing all summer. And they're just cool comic collective hanging out with their buddies. And then in what three months down the road, they're not friendly anymore. And you, you get to see them chasing the dose. What a, what, when do you see, like, when do you say a lot of action, right? Action for you, gas. Our rut is probably, I would say everybody claims that like Thanksgiving weekend, race is like prime time. Like that's when the sum of the biggest bucks shot are. So it's, yeah, or do I say Thanksgiving? I'm so right. Halloween weekend. Oh, yeah. Sorry, sorry, sorry. October, like October 26th

58:44to like November 10th, usually are like main rut. And then we go through a secondary rut. Like, usually opener of gun deer or last week in a gun deer to like December, but I don't really understand much about the second rut. I think a lot of other guys have it tracked a lot better than I do just because our weather can be so different. Like some, some years we got, we got a foot of snow by Thanksgiving. Some years we don't have any snow and it's 70 degrees at Thanksgiving, you know, you know, going off a will they live and the environment, they kind of go through their cycles at certain times to where in the spring it should work, right? And you know, they miss it the first time around. I guess that's, you know, that group is in the end of a baby. And it can help the guys with the guns. I guess if they didn't get it, get lucky with the boat. I don't know. Our route around here happens around these. Sometimes are the first to January. I'm gonna say this year, going off for what people brought to Tucker shop, it had to be the week after, after Christmas. Yeah. Everybody was all.

59:48It is. That's pretty crazy, isn't it? Like just, I wonder if it's somewhat like temperature related to, you know, because like, I've heard, I've never seen it, but I've heard this through all the hunts of there is a forest pretty close to a national forest. And they released some there and they're trying to rebuild the population. But that's a year ago from North. So I've worked on a connection to get that. Yeah. So I heard a podcast last year in the guy that was from, from Alabama related to doing a lot of this stuff. We had the history of how this happened, man. It was, it was pretty interesting to hear him because he knew where and when all of the different deer had came to our state or were released in different places. And it kind of correlates with how there's different routes going on in different regions of the state because of different, different origins of the deer. So I don't know really how long it takes for that to kind of go away. You know what I mean? And it may not. I really don't know, but there is.

1:00:49I've heard that there are really, I've never hunted up there. I don't know if I ever will, you know, but I've always heard that the road up there comes in almost during both seasons. Right. So the guys are hunting up there, you know, they can hunt that route and they can go hunt, come back down here and hunt that route. You know, and it's not far at all off the road from us. Maybe so maybe so you guys get this you guys get to hunt rut with a gun. Jop right now and see, right? All right. You know, it's crazy down here. Yeah. That is awesome. I think that's really cool. And you know, I maybe I take it for granted that like, you know, there's less bow hunters in Wisconsin. So I mean, maybe there's more opportunity like I think that quite honestly a lot of the guys down south hunts a lot harder than us guys up in the north, like truthfully. But I talked to some boys from Mississippi and like the turkey hunt and this is difficult to all get out of some guys come in by man, he's just saying to you know, I think you have to be lucky. It is have to be lucky and like, almost have to have the land down here that is holding the turkey that like I can hunt a place

1:01:58that during the season, you can't keep corn out for deer. The turkeys will eat it up. But come springtime. There's not a turkey around. Yeah, they're going to. That's just how it is. But I mean, springtime down here, when it for me, turkey hunting, I've only been able to kill two turkeys my whole entire lifetime. And I've never I caught you just it's hard to do. You just have to look up. And most of the guys that kill them, they they know what they're doing and they've got the land to be able to hunt them. So I guess we've been we've been we've learned a little bit about tagging the bank. We've got to hear the good story about the axle change out at the Wal-Mart Parking lot going across country. And I love that. That's it. It's the man. That's guys making happen to go and it paid off. You got the black bear on that hunt. You're fixing to go on an epic hunt in a couple weeks. And I want to it may be about the time that this releases to be honest. So it may work and you can sit up there and lie if talking about hope I get a bear while you're cleaning that bear. Maybe that's what can happen. That would be it would be awesome. Dude, that would be so easy. No, and I'll give you a

1:05:04I think we got it. And mother nature, she's kind of a good lesson today. We didn't get knocked out by lightning or anything else there. I will say that one that popped up last time popped up quick. And when we went outside when we lost internet, I called you and we walked outside, took her and Jordan ran back in because lightning almost took their life. And there is a tree that fell within 10 yards of Tucker's shop. Yeah, he's right there. While we were talking, that was one of those booms we heard that we didn't realize was just thunder or a tree falling actually. So, either way, we made it through that. But I want to tell everybody thank you. We will be back again next week with another big surprise with some sort. It's kind of week to week. We figure out which one we're going with. We've got a bunch of fillers out there and we got a bunch of exciting stuff.
