Bears Re-sign Jack Sanborn, Add James Lynch

0:00With the NFL today, March 18th, the Chicago Bears made a couple of moves this week by signing Linebacker Jack Sanborn to a one-year contract, bringing him back for a second time with the team. Sanborn grew up in the Chicago area, near Lake Zurich, Illinois, and joined the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Wisconsin. Back in 2022, over three seasons with Chicago, he started 19 of the 48 games he played, showing solid promise before heading elsewhere. Last March, Sanborn signed with the Dallas Cowboys, where he linked up again with former Bears coach Matt Iberfluse, now their defensive coordinator. But injuries like a concussion and growing issue limited him to just five starts in six games, he has 183 tackles and 15. Special team stops in his career so far. The Bears also added defensive lineman James Lynch on a one-year deal. The former Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans player brings 98 tackles and three-and-a-half sacks across five NFL seasons.
