Ah well hello, Viru Bunchon. I'm Sergio Odmargin. It's nice to talk to you. I want to hold your hand bring back enormous memories for me. I want to hold your hand. I want to hold your hand. Oh please, say to me. Let me be your man. And please say to me. You let me hold your hand. I want to hold your hand. And when I touch you I feel happy inside.

It's such a feeling that my love. I can't hide. I can't hide. I can't hide. Yeah you got that something. I think you're not in the span. When I say that something. I want to hold your hand. I want to hold your hand. I want to hold your hand. And when I touch you I feel happy inside. It's such a feeling that my love. I can't hide. I can't hide. I can't hide. Yeah you got that something. I think you understand. When I feel like something. I want to hold your hand. I want to hold your hand.

The Beatles first number one hit in America. Hit the top of the charges six days before they landed in America for the first time, February 7th, 1964. It stayed at the top for seven Fab Weeks, Willfully Kicking Off, Beetle Mania, which was the newly formed term for what was happening to the culture of American youth, mainly teenage girls in early 1964. As I welcome you to another edition of Beetlebrunch, the celebration of the greatest group in Rock History featuring the songs and stories of the Fab 4 and their friends on stage backstage and holding your hand. And let the Beetlebrunch Club give you a hand by making life easier for you. As a member of the Beetlebrunch Club, you can hear every week show on demand with bonus tracks a day before the broadcast on your schedule. I've got a hand to you, like I did with the Beatles first American number one, because they've got their feet down below their knees, dragged to comb across their heads. Maybe they'd seen a face they couldn't forget. Perhaps it was a brave face.

So here's an interesting challenge for today. Close your eyes, your queen eyes, and let the Beatles tow your heart away with their fabulous body of work. The Taxman Song. Think of it as a tariff in 1966. But that Taxman Song was an anti-establishment tax song where we said, if you walk the street they'll tax your feet if you buy a cup. All that and I know what have you done against that? For the time George wrote it, I helped him with it. We weren't aware of the whole taxing. I still are. I'm not really aware of what goes on with the taxes. We believe that, you know, if you earn it, you may as well keep it unless there's a communal or communist or Christian, real Christian society. While we're living in this, I protest against paying the government what I have to pay them. That's the one. One, two, three, four, one, two. I'll tell you how it will be. There's one for you, 19 for me.

I'll tell you how it will be. Two, five, first and the beat of the song. Be thankful I don't take it off. I'll tell you how it will be. I'll tell you how it will be.

I'll tell you how it will be. Am I your wife for the whole two lives? Because I'm the taxman. Yeah, the taxman.

And you're worth me for the whole life. I remember George being furious. He wrote taxman. They'll tax the pennies on your eyes. You know, I thought that was a good line. I remember him, he I disbied. And the bank in there's the rest of my. In the pouring rain, there is pain. And he lay, is it my ears, and it my eyes. And they have you need those little bits of bubbles.

I said, I'm clean while back in penny lane. There is a fireman on our glass. And in his pocket is a portrait of the queen. He likes to keep his fire engine clean. It's a clean machine. And he lay, is it my ears, and it my eyes. More of this champagne, a pie's in summer. Be wild and behind the shelter in the metal, off the roundabout. The prettyness is telling poppies from a tray.

And though she feels that if she's in a play, she is anyway. And he lay in the barbershaves another customer. Receive the bike, pissing away into the train. And the fireman rushes in from the pouring rain. Very strange, and he lay, is it my ears, and it my eyes. And he lay, is it my ears, and it my eyes. And he lay, is it my ears, and it my eyes. And he lay, is it my ears, and it my eyes.

The Beatles with penny lane, with the barber shows photographs of every head he said the pleasure to know. And now it's in your ears and eyes, as we feature the Beatles' body of work today. Here they go again, ready to give their hard way. Where is this happening, Paul? We're in the TV studio, and we've just seen the sets that they've built up for us. And we go down, and this particular bit, Ringo is supposed to be sulking a bit. Actually this is another one of these bits where we got the giggles as well. Ringo is supposed to be sulking, and John starts joking with him, and starts singing this song. Because though he's singing it today, and it's quite a laugh-making it. Probably doesn't sound very funny now. Anyway, it was. It seemed very funny on the screen, but if it was, we were all breaking up, you know, in singing all this. Anyway, I'll tell you what, listen to the song now, it's called If I Felt. If I Felt. If I Felt. If I Felt. If I fell in love with you, would you promise to be true and help me understand?

Because I've been in love before, and I found that love was more than just holding hands. If I give my heart to you, I must be sure from the very start that you would love me more than her. If I trust in you, oh please, don't run and hide if I love you too. Oh please, don't hurt my pride like her, because I couldn't stand the pain. And I would be sad if our new love wasn't vain.

So I hope you'll see that I would love to love you and that she will cry. When she lands we are too, because I couldn't stand the pain. And I would be sad if our new love wasn't vain. So I hope you'll see that I would love to love you and that she will cry. When she lands we are too, if I fell in love with you.

The Beatles with If I Fell don't break a leg or a leg end as George once called it. That's from a hard days night of course, coming up the relatively recent new mix of mind games and in the studio the evolution of mind games mixed by Sean Lennon. Keep your ears near the speaker to hear more of the Beatles' body of work. And we'd like to see how many you can think of, go to our Facebook page, Beelbrun Show, and post yours with the lyric. I got something in me had you know and all the walls of Rome couldn't stop me. John went and sang about it many years ago. You'll hear it when Beelbrunch returns. He came with one of them just like we jumped in. He came with like, oh I've got this song. It's like seven and a half times. And he always said, so, you know, I played four, four or three, four. Ringo Starr talking to Dave Stewart about the George song coming up as we spotlight Beel's non hits. Now two songs we all know and love from Abbey Road including the one of George's for speaking up, which he says is similar to when he wrote for Rubber Soul.

But first, John Lennon who admitted in 1980 that he really loved Paul's bow darling from Abbey Road. So much that he wished he'd sang the lead vocal. Darling was a great one of Paul's that he didn't sing too well. I also thought I could have done it better. It was more my style than his. Yeah. He wrote it so what the hell he's going to sing it. If he'd had any senses you'll let me sing it. Oh darling. Please believe me. I'll never do you no harm. Believe me when I tell you. I'll never do you no harm. Oh darling.

If you'll leave me. I'll never make it alone. Believe me when I thank you. Don't ever leave me alone. When you told me you didn't leave me anymore. Oh when you know I need to let go of you and cry. Oh when you told me you didn't leave me anymore. I'll never do you no harm. Oh darling.

If you'll leave me. I'll never make it alone. Believe me when I tell you. I'll never do you no harm. Believe me darling. When you told me you didn't leave me anymore. Oh when you know I need to let go of you and cry. Oh when you told me you didn't leave me anymore. Oh when you know I need to let go of you and cry.

Oh darling. Please believe it. I'll never let you down. Believe me darling. Believe me when I tell you. I'll never do you no harm. Aside to here comes the song. This is the other song that I wrote on the album. And it was written on a nice sunny day in Eric Clapton's Garden. It's a very heavy day. I felt like I was sagging off from school.

I didn't come in one day. It was a really nice day. It's a bit like if I needed someone. I was going to read the same as that. I'll let us know some roomy sort of a bird type thing. Here comes the sun. It's all right. It's been a long calm, lonely winter. It feels like you since it's been here. It comes a sun. It comes a sun. Nice and it's all right.

It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right.

It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. The Beatles with George's here comes the sun, not a single in America, but in Japan, here comes the sun was issued as the B side to O-Darling, which we also just heard.

John did not contribute to here comes the sun as he was recovering from a car accident at the time. By the way, here comes the sun as the only Beatles track to have over a billion streams on Spotify, and it's not just up 264 million views on YouTube, even though it doesn't have an official video. I've Joe Johnson. This is the Beatles off the charts. Songs we all know, but ones that never charted in the top 40 in America. Now let's listen to one of Paul's. A song inspired by a friend of his, Jimmy Scott, who used this saying on stage in his act, Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on Bra. But as we listen to the monomics, see if you can tell what's missing. There's my magic barrel in the pocket place, all he is to sing in the back. There's my chest to my league and I like your place, and my recesses that you take me mother.

Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on Bra. Blada, Blada, Life Goes on Bra. There's my takes a trolley to the durian store, five and twenty caratola rings. Takes it back to money, waiting at the door, and as he gives it to a sheep, he's too soon. Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on Bra. Blada, Blada, Life Goes on. Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on Bra. Blada, Blada, Life Goes on. In a couple of years they have built a home, sweet home.

With a couple of kids, money is the year, there's women all he owns. Happy ever after in the market, like, yes, my life the children lend a hand. Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on Bra. There's my takes a trolley to the durian store, five and twenty caratola rings. And as he gives it to a sheep, he's too soon. Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on. In a couple of years they have built a home, sweet home. When a couple of kids, money is the year, there's women all he owns. Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on Bra.

In a couple of years they have built a home, sweet home. And as he gives it to a sheep, he's too soon. Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on Bra. Blada, Blada, Life Goes on. Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on. Blada, Blada, Life Goes on. Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on Bra. The Beatles Obladeo Blada, Life Goes on Bra. The Mono Mix. Did you feel that something was missing from the song? It is. The hand claps were mixed out. When they made the Mono version for some unknown reason, they probably just forgot. As far as Jimmy Scott years later, Paul settled up with him. He wanted a co-writing credit on the song. While the settle, Paul agreed to pay Scott's legal bills, as he was sitting in jail, for failure to pay his alimony.

Paul paid on the condition that he abandoned his attempt to receive that co-writer's credit. I'm Joe Johnson and today it's the Beatles off the charts. Coming up, the ultimate Beatles party song that everyone has the right to sing at least once a year. And then we got all the crowd that was having a party and we got there to sing along on it. When Beatle brunch continues in a moment. This is Paul McCartney singing and playing and doing all sorts of stuff for you. Coming out you loud and clear over the radio on Beatle brunch with Joe Johnson. Nice Paul were featuring Beatles and solo songs that were not singles or hits in America. Getting true Beatles fashion, we know them all word for word. And now the ultimate original Beatles composition that exudes party and wouldn't you know it. It was written moments before recording with special guests in the background singing along. Once again, here's Paul on this party piece. The last day was a song that we came into Abbey Road Studios with the Beatles one night. We didn't have anything to record.

So John and I went to one side and we ran out of every side of the day. We said let's make one up tonight and record it all tonight. And a few people were coming around with Patti Boyd and a few of us then, Addy Harris and I think. And friends, a few people were hanging out so we said, you have a little party in the corner of the studio over there. Keep it quiet because we are recording. But we'll get on and we'll make this track. And so we just made it up there then. We thought of the idea of birth there because people are always having birth there so we thought that would be good. And then we got all the crowd that was having a party but we got down to sing along on it. They're on to a party party. We got down to sing along on that fit I think. And by the end of the year we finished it took about three hours.

I think. We got down to sing along on that fit I think. And to play on that fit I think. And to play on that fit I think. Take it, take it, take it, take it, take it, take it. What you're going to do, you're dead. What you're going to do, you're going to be dead.

The interesting thing about them is that you don't hear about them these days. You hear about our well-known tracks. You're always hearing about strawberry fields or sergeant peppers because those have gone down as some kind of milestone. But these other tracks, I just remember how they were written and the thrill I got of writing them and why I liked to sing them because the baseline went down as the tune went up or whatever it is. And those things still hold, they're still nice to sing. And those things still hold, they're still nice to sing.

And those things still hold, they're still nice to sing. You know this time of the week, I cannot hear your voices to me, but the words aren't clear. You know something is when I've learned the games. I'm looking through you, you know the same. Why tell you why you do as I drink me right? Love has a nasty habit of just a feeling all night. You're singing on feet, the same old way. You wear a bunch of me, but not today. The only thing is when you're down there.

I'm looking through you, you know the same. Why tell you why you do as I drink me right? Love has a nasty habit of just a feeling all night. I'm looking through you, where did you go? I thought I knew you, what did I know? You're not the different but you have changed. I'm looking through you, you know the same. Yeah, maybe you change. I'm looking through you, yes. From the American rubber soul album with the stop and start intro, down on the US mix of I'm looking through you. People wonder why those two start and stops were left on there.

Allegedly the engineers at Capital Records thought the start and restart was intentional and left it in. I'm Joe Johnson featuring the Beatles biggest non-hits, songs you know by heart that were not singles for the most part. And George agreed in 1991 when he played nine Beatles numbers including Roll of the Beethoven on his live in Japan concert to 7 1991 like Taxman. Let me tell you how it would be. One from you, ninety for me. Another Taxman, yeah the Taxman. She's quite a tentative, little song. Thank the line of taking on.

From the Taxman, yeah the Taxman. If you come up from the Taxman street, you try to fix the Taxman street. I'm taking the take the walk out of the taxi. Taxman. We've got the Taxman, yeah the Taxman.

Let's do what I'm wanting for. You don't want to pay some more. I'm a Taxman, yeah the Taxman. If I were to sing again, I'd be out of time. Get back for the EAT. I'm a Taxman, yeah the Taxman. If you get ahead, you'll take your hand. If you get ahead, I'll take your hand. What do we do? I'm a Taxman, take your roll of the way. I'm taking your hand.

If you get ahead, I'll take your hand. If you get ahead, I'll take your hand. If you get ahead, I'll take your hand. If you get ahead, I'll take your hand. If you get ahead, I'll take your hand.

George Harrison and Eric Clapton playing on Taxman in Japan December 1991. From the Y-Can we have a department, always hoping to get the film on DVD or Blu-Ray for us but so far, haven't heard. I'm Joe Johnson and this is Beelabrunch coming back with another biggest non-hit. I don't see why those Beagles have to make so many records. They all sound the same. Plus, when mind games from Paul, when the Beelabrunch Radio Network returns in a moment. I don't think I record and feel cheated on the B-side. We won't let that happen. Just call on me and I'll send it along. We love on me to you. She the woman you understand. She's in love with me and I feel bad. John and I wrote that in a hotel room on the twin beds. We were very excited by this idea and around the time we used to say, let's write a swim in.

That would tell you I'll let the writer new extension and I'll write in a new car. These are the tracks. They were B-sides. I just remember how they were written and the story like that. Thanks to last Sir Paul, Paul contributed our mind games prize today. So listen to play in win mind games in a moment. As we continue, he completely off the charts, Beelabrunch. Because that with Paul giving us the true meaning of one of his iconic songs, again, one that was not a single or a hit, but has a wonderful back story that we all love listening to. I'm Joe Chomsen. Thanks for listening. I'll see you next week on the Beelabrunch radio network. Well, Blackbird was something I wrote in the 60s. And the music came from... I used to play a kind of card version of a Bach piece. Da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da. I used to play a little kind of finger picking thing on that. And so the music was inspired by that. And then the words were actually to do with the civil rights movement. I was imagining Blackbird being symbolic for a young Black woman living in America at the time, experiencing the injustices that were going on then, particularly. And this was hopefully to be an inspirational song where, you know, even though she was going through all these terrible times,

she would be able to look and listen to this song and be inspired by it to continue to fight against the injustices. Blackbird singing in the dead of night. Take these broken wings and learn to fly. All your life. You were only waiting for this moment to arrive. Blackbird singing in the dead of night. Take these sunken eyes and learn to see. All your life. You were only waiting for this moment to be free. Blackbird singing in the dead of night. Blackbird singing in the dead of night.

Blackbird flying. Blackbird flying into the light of a dark black night. Blackbird singing in the dead of night. Take these broken wings and learn to fly. All your life. You were only waiting for this moment to arrive. You were only waiting for this moment to arrive. All your life.

All your life. We lived in the trees. And we fly in the trees. With the blue birds. With the blue birds. I sing in the air. Blue bird. Blue bird. It comes to the broads. It's all right.
