In the early 1900s, Boyd was a thriving rural town, home to more than 500 residents. Today, fewer than 200 remain—and one house continues to draw attention for reasons that can’t be explained. Known locally as the Boyd House, the home has become the center of persistent paranormal activity tied to its former occupants and the life that once filled its rooms.

Stories surrounding the house point to Fred and Minnie Eckhardt and their eleven children, raising questions about whether remnants of that family still linger within the walls. Footsteps, voices, and unexplained activity suggest the home may not have fully let go of its past.

Our guest, Jill Shelley, has spent years investigating the unexplained with St. Croix Paranormal. In 2018, she purchased the Boyd House, intentionally stepping into a lifelong goal of owning a haunted property. Today, the home is open year-round to investigators seeking their own encounters with the unexplained.
