Insurance issues are back in the spotlight for the World Baseball Classic, with Toronto

Blue Jays' picture Jose Barrios now sidelined from representing Puerto Rico.

Earlier this week, reports said Barrios could pitch in the elimination round after Puerto

Rico advanced, but that decision got reversed Tuesday night.

Los has been mostly healthy in his career, though he dealt with right elbow inflammation

at the end of the 2025 season, missing the final month and playoffs, which likely spooked

the insurers.

He's thrown 10 and 2-thirds innings this spring with no problems, and he's pitched in the
