Here's a three on the way from Rickard, no good.
Rebound Sherman inside lays it up,
blocked by Grant Foster.
Into the hands of Fogel, Hill tribble it out.
Seven seconds left.
Fogel into the front court and Gonzaga does indeed.
Survive and advance.
Gonzaga beats Kennesaw State 73-64.
This is You Better You Bet, Countdown to Tip Off
with Nick Costos and Brad Evans,
presented by Ben MGM.
Ryan Racky Austin Crozier with the call.
That's Gonzaga.
Get's past Kennesaw State, setting up a second round matchup
today against the Texas Longhorns
who sent AJ DeBonza and BYU packing.
Just to update everybody on what's happening
in the Michigan St. Louis game.
Wolverine's up 20 to 16.
Looks like Brad was right on this being a very high scoring game.
12 minutes to play in the first half.
Wolverine's leading 20 to 16.
Brad, let's continue our preview of today's action
and we will go out West.
7-10 PM Eastern tonight.
Gonzaga, a six and a half point favorite against Texas.
Total 147 and a half.
The aforementioned Ryan Racky Austin Crozier
on the call of this game for Westwood One Sports.
Woo, woo, woo, woo.
Sound the upset alert siren, my friend.
I think Texas could have win this game straight up.
I think they are going to be an 11-seed
that marches on it to sweetness.
Vokititis is absolutely key.
The 7-footer of the Lithuanian import
has got to say out of foul trouble.
A, B, he's got to knock down Elise Hano,
75% of his free throws.
And C, tried to neutralize Grand BK
the best way that he can.
Texas, a far superior three-point shooting team
compared to Gonzaga.
I think it's got more juice.
And then right now playing with House Money.
So psychologically, I think the hookup
had the advantage.
So all right, all right, all right.
The fight, Matthew McConaughey's
grabbed the W.
I think they're marching on.
So I pretty strongly disagree with that.
I think Gonzaga is going to be able to do
in the sweet 16 and go to the elite eight.
So I do like Gonzaga in this game today against Texas.
I really respect Sean Miller.
Obviously like a long time excellent college basketball coach,
great tournament coach.
But I do think Gonzaga a step up in class
for the long horns.
Give me the Zags to win and cover today against Texas.
We are at commercial break just to get the score update in
with Michigan and St. Louis.
The Billikins are leading the Wolverines right now.
It's early, still early in the first half.
But St. Louis leading number one seeded Michigan
in the Midwest region 21 to 20.
Brad, this one near and dear to your heart as an Illinois guy
wearing the Illinois hat today.
You're a line.
Honestly, our line.
I've got them in the national championship game.
Illinois.
A ten and a half point favorite against VCU.
149 and a half the total.
Noah Eagle Lafonso Ellis on the call for your a line.
And how about Phil Martelli joining me yesterday on VCU?
I love both these teams, Brad.
Yeah, look, here's the deal with Illinois.
They are the longest team and all a college basketball.
And a team that will have a distinct size of an angel or VCU,
which is highly relying in contention on their guard play.
And that's an area of concern for Illinois.
I mean, you know, how about those of phenomenal on ball defender?
I'm a kid.
Bogler is not exactly the most fleet of foot guy.
And the only big.
I can't beat a beat off the dribble and teams up in a racing
around them and getting a high percentage shots off the glass.
I think of Illinois brings like a B minus level defensively
in this game.
Knowing they are the most destructive offense.
And the entire NCAA tournament field and all a college basketball
is just an entire year.
In fact, the number one all time leading team and offense
efficiency in the Kempon era.
I think Illinois marches on.
But I mean, this game is going to be so tight.
It's a good thing.
I want to Costco picked up a couple of bottles at DeKila yesterday.
I may need it to quell the nerves.
Costos.
You know, we had a Phil Martelli junior, the head coach of VCU.
Join me yesterday on you.
Better you bet.
And I said to coach, I feel like I have to bet your team in the game today,
given that you came on the show today.
So I kind of need Illinois to win for a bunch of other stuff
that I have going with bets and brackets.
But love for VCU to keep this game close.
A bit of a conflict of interest for your boy with Villanoi.
Villanoi is a combination of Illinois and V.
Illinois versus VCU.
Two more games for us to hit Brad on the Saturday.
Slap it for we turn our attention to tomorrow.
8.45 PM Eastern.
Man, this game is going to be awesome in the South region.
Oklahoma City, the site.
And I give the site because when Nebraska played Troy on Thursday in Oklahoma City.
This was basically a home game for Nebraska.
The crowd was going ballistic for every Nebraska shot.
Fred Hoyberg and the Corn Huskers win the first NCAA tournament game in the history
of Nebraska basketball.
And now take on a Vandy team that beat Florida literally last week in the SEC tournament.
The Commodore is Brad one and a half point favorites over Nebraska.
So the 5C to slight favorite over the four.
146 and a half the total.
Ted Emmerich, Casey Jacobson with the call on Westwood one.
Yeah, again, I think the key in this game is Vandy's guards.
Now Tanner and Miles are dynamite and they could really beat the pressure defense at Nebraska.
Nebraska is coaxing a turnover from opponents on nearly 20% of their possessions over last month.
So that is a calling card of that Fred Hoyberg team.
But Vanderbilt's got a lot of quick guards.
They got no fantastically clean handles into the Commodore's have been making it rain from outside over last month.
They're shooting 40 to 0.2% from distance.
Now they're giving up over 40% from distance as well.
But again, I think Vandy ability to beat the press and getting some of those high percentage shots in the interior.
All the dribble drive will have them moving on in the NCAA tournament.
I will lay the point a half with the Commodore's.
It's been real to Nebraska.
Hey, I made history winning your first ever NCAA tournament game in school history.
But I think you're about to bow out even though the crowd will be very partisan as you mentioned.

Tom Osborne, Tommy Frazier, Eric Crouch.
Not walking through that door for the Nebraska Corn Hussers tonight in OKC.
I'm with you.
Give me Vanderbilt to win and covered tonight against Nebraska.
You better you bet scountdown to tip off.
Westwood one sports.
Nick Costos, Brad Evans and you presented by Bed MGM.
One more game for us to hit today.
And then we'll turn the page to Sunday.
And that game bread.
9.45pm Eastern tonight in the West region.
The four seed Arkansas with coach Cal Darius A. Cuff the Razorbacks.
11 and a half point favorites against Cinderella.
High point.
Flynn Clayman and who joined me on you better.
You bet yesterday and high point coming off the win over Wisconsin.
The Razorbacks 11 and a half point favorites.
169 and a half the total.
Ryan Radke, Austin Crozier on the call for Westwood one.
Yeah, another game that is going to take your breath away, man.
This one is going to rival St. Louis and Michigan.
By the way, the bill against up 27, 23 right at the 10 minute mark here.
This first half.
But this game.
Certainly good one.
That's why I'm going to live in the 90s overall.
Arkansas has a massive advantage at the car position.
And they're shooting 39.3% from downtown over last month.
The high points of team that really likes to beat you off the bounce.
I get some of those high percentage shots and just attack it downhill.
Arkansas doesn't have the strongest front court.
So I think the Panthers are going to hang still.
I have got.
Whoo.
I'm advancing on my bracket.
I'm a sick to my guns.
I think they're an actual threat to Arizona and the West.
Give me or Kansas.
But the best bet for me.
I'll just take the over because this game is going to be a foot race.
I'm with you that Arkansas wins the game.
I do think high point can keep the game close though with Arkansas.
I'm not playing a ton of defense.
I agree on the over high point plus the points.
Listen, the coach joins the show.
I'm going to bet on that team.
So we had Flynn claimant on the show yesterday.
I'm going to end up betting high point plus the points tonight against Arkansas.
Michigan has retaken the lead, Brad.
So it felt like 20 seconds ago.
Yeah, St. Louis up for Michigan with a quick 5-0 run.
The Wolverines of 28 27 nine minutes to play in the first half of the first game of today's action.
The first game, Brad of tomorrow's action in the NCAA tournament.
Seize the two seed in the West region.
Make it a couple boiler makers.
Braden Smith.
Now the all time leading assists man in the history of college basketball.
Purdue a seven and a half point favorite against Miami.
Miami pulling away late from Missouri last night to advanced around two.
147 and a half the total.
Nate Gatter Jordan.
Cornat with the call tomorrow on Westwood one.
Yeah, both of these seniors have defensive boards.
So this a lead is outside the top 300 effective.
Fugal percentage defense over the last 30 days.
I think Miami does have a slight advantage in the interior.
And that's how their all fence flows.
It goes through their biggs.
And they're an outstanding rebounding team.
So the key for Purdue as a knock-it bounce in this game.
Oscar Cluff.
The oil oil.
O.A.
Aussie impurities and also Trey Kaufman milligram they got to surf themselves in the pain.
Make sure they see a lot off the defensive glass of revengea allow those second chance opportunities.
And let the wizard on the floor, Braden Smith.
Hello TO work.
He's a magician.
magician. I got to go out there and score 20 points and maybe drop 15 dimes. And elite
offense is Purdue only second Illinois right now and offense efficiency on the season.
That will be the difference in the game. If Kaufman ran and Kloff can somewhat neutralize
the bigs of the canes, I'm wrong with Purdue and I'm going to lay the chalk in this one
this seven and a half. It makes me makes me a little nervous once we get past the first
game. And honestly, it makes you nervous in the first game after Purdue lost after
you a couple of years ago in a one 16 matchup makes me a little nervous to see the boiler
makers seven and a half here. I think Miami's good. Doesn't mean I think Miami's going
to win. I may not bet the game, but I think if I were going to bet it, I think I would
take the points with the Miami Hurricanes. Brent, let's hit one more game here in this
segment. We'll do the rest on the other side. And it is a doozy for us to get to. It
sees Iowa State the two seed in the Midwest against the seven seed Kentucky. We don't
know if Iowa State will have the services of their second leading score or Joshua Jefferson.
The cyclone's four and a half point favorites total one forty five and a half gather and
coordinate for Westwood one sports on the call. Yeah, it's going to be ultra tight. It
really is. I think I would say to still the best team, even possibly down at Jefferson
Supreme stat sheet, a stiffer. Try to say that five times fast, but they still got
mom Sylvich who I feel is the best three point shooter of the game. Folks, he's netting
nearly 50% from way downtown. We're not talking about him taking like two, three is a game.
He's averaging just over seven attempts per game. That on ball pressure defense could
be problematic. I'll take it away. It's going to be a ball on shock haulers. I've got
to go out there and score twenty five. I do a little bit on the class to some dimes.
He's going to be genius. But will they have a solid secondary score? Will they have a
solitary score? I find that highly questionable. I think I would say just a better team,
without Jefferson at full strength. I'm going to go with the cyclones. I had him in my
final four. Got to stick to my guns. Despite the wrench, ankle with Jefferson. So TJ
Ozzelberger's club, I feel gets a job done. Brad, I said it on you better. You bet all
week this week. Kentucky to the sweet 16. Now I didn't know Joshua Jefferson was going
to turn his ankle and Iowa State's first game, which which which may help with that
quite a bit here. I think that Kentucky can so to be fair to Brad and anyone who likes
Iowa State and anyone who thinks I'm crazy, you, you might be right. Kentucky could
lose this game by 30 and I wouldn't bat an eyelash, but I also wouldn't bat an eyelash
if Kentucky won the game outright. And I want to bet into that volatility, give me Kentucky
to win tomorrow against Iowa State and advance to the sweet 16. We still got some games
to hit coming up tomorrow in the NCAA tournament. Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, Iowa, Yukon,
UCLA, tech Alabama, but the first game we will hit to wrap up the show on the other side.
Rick Patino and St. John's Bill Self, Darren Peterson and the Kansas J. Hawks. And then
we'll finalize our best bets for the weekend's action to close out, count down to tip off
here on Westwood One Sports.
I'm done carrying around bulky drinks. And I'm definitely done cleaning melted
