A weekly mix of 106.7 the fan and 980 the team's best NFL talk
to get you ready for game day.
Alright, so yesterday was a big day for all the draft nerds and NFL fans because it
was pro day in Columbus, Ohio for Ohio State University.
And they have four players who could realistically be drafted in the top 10.
And they're all going to be drafted by the latest top 15.
Maybe one of these guys slips out of the top 10, but it's looking like four players
that play for the buck guys this year are going to go top 10 to top 15, including Caleb
Downs, Carl Nell Tate at Wide Receiver, Sonny Styles, and R.V.L.
Reese.
Right.
And these guys were all on display yesterday, now, aside from Sonny Styles, he did not
work out yesterday because, look, if you do what he did at the Combine last month
in Indy, or earlier this month, you don't need to do anymore.
Like you're only going to hurt your stock by going out and working out and maybe some
of those numbers dip.
So like if you're Sonny Styles and his reps, it makes sense for him just to watch his
teammates go through all the paces, not have to go through anything.
So he did nothing.
He didn't do any drills.
No, nothing.
He just was there.
But he ran like a four four six at the Combine anyways, like 245 pounds, he's six five.
He's a monster.
He's jumping out of the gym with a 43 and a half inch vertical, bigger than 11 broad
jump, like 11 to broad jump.
Again, he was spectacular.
I'm definitely not the guy that would know how to best utilize these guys.
He just looks long and lanky to me for what he's alleged to be, from position he's
alleged to be.
Yes.
So Ryan Wilson from CBS Sports.com did a good breakdown of these guys workouts and he
said, Caleb Downes, still a top five talent is how he regards him.
Yeah.
He says, Downes didn't run at the Combine shows, not to run at the pro day either.
It doesn't matter.
When you watch this movement skills in the positional drills, you were reminded of just how
special he is.
And that could be, look, that could be a guy that, Dronte Jones absolutely loves and falls
in love with because he's a guy that ran Brian floor as a secondary in Minnesota, baby
Dronte Jones of all the Ohio State guys.
Maybe that's his guy.
I'm leaning towards him.
He can be like the coordinator of the entire defense and Quinn, you know, alluded to that
that instantly he's like the leader of your defense.
Yeah.
But Adam Peters is making the call.
For sure.
I get that you have what Durante would want, but I'm sure David Blau would want to car
an L. Tate.
Maybe.
Don't you think he'd want to receive her?
Maybe.
Sure.
If he's the guy, is he the guy?
But see that they were state, they stayed late talking to him, getting at home, put it
up as the junkies pole of the day and you can chime in at 1-800-636-1067.
Which of the four Ohio State prospects would you want the commanders to draft if they were
all available?
The thing is, they might only have one available or two will be available when they draft
at number seven if they hold on to that pick 1-800-636-1067 or you can vote at Junk's
Radio Junkies pole of the day sponsored by Surfside, use the code Junk's at store.stateside.com
and get 25% off, it's like merchandise, T's has hoodies and more, use the code Junk's
store.stateside.com I saw a carnal Tate was the early lead since I put it up.
By the way, with Downs, another positive for him, his brother is already in the NFL.
Josh Downs plays wide out for the Colts and his uncle is Dre Blie who went to Carolina
and had a long NFL career in the league.
He has clear pedigree and he looks like a certainty to go top 10.
He falls out of the top 10.
I would guess he's probably the most likely though to fall out of the top 10 of those
four just because he doesn't quite have the same athletic traits as like a sunny styles
or RVL Reese because he's not this big hulking guy.
He's like six feet tall, maybe 205.
He doesn't have this huge size that makes him jump off the page so maybe that dings him
a little bit but it shouldn't be by a lot.
You said yesterday you're a styles guy because you're a combine guy.
I fall in love with guys with a combine and I know he's not a prototypical build for
a linebacker but if he's 6'5, 2'45, runs a 4'46, he grew up playing safety.
You can play him all over the defense.
The NFL is moving towards like positionless defensive players that you line up all over
your formations.
I mean what's not to love about him?
I just wish I saw more production in terms of sacks, forced fumbles.
I think he had one of each last year in the high state.
I feel like it's weird.
I feel like at seven we're going to get a great player should but I also thought like
Chase Young was a surefire Hall of Famer.
Right.
You know what I mean?
But like on paper I don't think you could complain about any of these guys on draft
day.
I think you could rationalize and wrap your brain around whatever one they pick and think
we have potentially a great player.
So for listeners who are commanders fans 800 636 1067 put on your nerdy draft hats.
If you have to pick an Ohio State player, you can't pick their all available.
They're all available.
And seven.
Yeah.
They're all say all of them are there.
At seven.
Yeah.
Who's your dream buck guy to plug into this commander's roster?
Do you go to the now defensive guys outweigh the offensive guys three to one.
Arnold takes the only offensive guy that you would select out of the four.
By the way, just to throw it out there, Chase Young had 10 sacks this year in 12 games.
He rehabilitated his image, but I don't think he's on track for a yellow jacket or gold
bag.
They go.
First double digit sacks season of his career, right.
And it's year six for him.
Yeah.
Tates last four regular season games were two touchdowns against Wisconsin and 111 yards.
124 yards and a touchdown against Penn State.
Two yards and a touchdown against Michigan against Indiana.
He had a touchdown, but only 45 yards.
And then in the big 10 championship loss to Miami, only 37 yards.
So carnell tape is clearly the wide out one in this class.
And this is Ryan Wilson, his closest cop T Higgins quote, but smoother as one scout put
it.
Well, if you could have T Higgins alongside Terry McClure and you'd be pretty happy.
Oh, I have to go.
Those have to go take because by most accounts, Terry's gone after this year.
That's what he's appearing.
Unless, unless they do some sort of like think we're all of a sudden Terry's willing to
take a lot less to stick around, which doesn't seem like he is weeks and weeks ago when
we were talking about what they should do in free agency.
He's going to be tattooed.
I always said, I would draft a receiver and sign a running back because receivers are
just making so much money now in free agency.
I mean, Alex Pierce got what $30 million basically a year, look at what JSN just signed
for it.
Like what he just, but the running backs, the running backs aren't making that kind of
money.
Right.
So I'd rather spend, it's kind of like a bargain, spend your big money on the running
back because it's not going to go as high and then draft your wide receiver.
I think I have to take tape.
I think considering the contract situation with Terry and the way it went so poorly and
the way they structured it, imagine if they, and listen, I always kind of thought Caleb
Downs would be the guy, imagine they take downs and then they just kind of patchwork
creation guy.
We're going to have a number one receiver next year.
Yeah.
Wilson says, Wilson says, if I'm the commanders at seven or the states at eight, we're possibly
even the giants at number five, I'm thinking long and hard about taking tape.
Three young quarterbacks looking to add weapons.
I think the second, I'm not saying they couldn't use Kale Downs, of course Kale Downs
would make the secondary better, but they did sign Nick Cross and he may be a different
style of safety.
He's more of a run stopper, I think, although he's forced turnovers, they resigned Jeremy
Reeves.
I thought Reeves played pretty, I thought he played pretty well at safety last season.
Well, he got extended too.
He just signed up for the contract, yeah.
He's another piece.
All right.
I don't know what's going on with Skids fans.
We want to hear from you.
We'll just each go around the room.
If they're all available, I have to take tape and it's all, it's just looking at my
roster and knowing I don't have any receivers.
Despite the defense having so many holes all over, I don't think he's necessarily going
to be the best player of that bunch, but looking at my roster, I think I have to take
tape.
I voted in the junkies poll of the day at Junk's Radio and I voted for car nil tape.
Yeah, tape.
And I think I've changed my mind because I think I had been a Kale Downs guy.
Yeah, I've been a Kale Downs guy.
But they've addressed the defense.
I'm not saying the defense is great.
I'm not saying the defense couldn't use good players, but they brought in two edge guys
in chase on and away.
They added some depth with Tim Settle.
They brought in the linebacker, Chanel, who we had on the show.
They added Robertson defensive back.
They added Cross at safety.
They've gone a lot of, they've gone defense heavy in free agency.
This is partially why I'm going to pick tape because I love off.
I'm going to pick the defense of players and Terry made a part.
Ryan Wilson's kind of Selamy says, tape may not be a wide receiver one, but Smith and
Jig, but wasn't considered a number one coming out of Ohio State either.
And he's developed into probably the best wide out in the league.
So I think, especially with the value you're getting at seven, it's not like you're picking
them at one or two, you're picking them at seven.
And you can lock them in on a rookie deal for five years to upgrade your offense and help
Jaden Daniels scores a point.
So we're three for three.
Take clean sweep.
We have a clean sweep.
Despite the horrendous defensive deficiencies.
You're in off.
You know, if that's the risk in Spaniard, Skins fan, Commander's fan, not taking tape.
Okay.
Defense has so many holes.
It does.
I mean, I know that they they plugged it on paper or filled it on paper in the off season,
but you need a, you need a younger stud defensive player.
So I kick, I kick the, I kick the can down the road.
All right.
So who are you going to take?
Uh, styles.
You want styles?
Yeah, I want stuff.
You don't want the freak athlete.
I want to, I want to, I want to, they're all freak athletes, but his, I want the freak
athlete.
I've seen, I've seen enough of, of Bobby Wagner and slow middle linebacker play.
I, I, I want to plug him.
Okay.
In the, in the line record.
All right.
Uh, our pal, Keith, big Keith sent me a text.
He said, Caleb Downe should be the pick, Resign Debo.
And then draft Denzel Boston, who I believe played at Washington.
Washington.
Yeah.
Big receiver too.
I, I'm just, I understand what you're saying.
How the receiver market has just exploded, but I also just don't have any, but I'm just,
I mean, you have Terry for now, but I'm just, I'm not wasting a number seven pick on
a receiver in the hopes that are, in the fear that Terry won't resign in a year from
now.
Right.
I feel like it's almost a given.
I feel like it's a given.
Well, then I'll talk about it.
I'll take care, I'll take care of that problem when it happens next year.
All right.
But you're also drafting him because you want to study one another offensive weapon for
Jayden Daniels.
I don't know.
So forget about the Terry part.
You're drafting him because you believe he can be a difference maker.
But if Terry moves on in a year or two, maybe this guy can be a number one.
Yeah.
He instantly becomes your number two wide out.
And then he gravitates to number one if and when Terry leaves in a season or two.
It makes a lot of sense.
And it's a spot where you're not going to have to be paying the guy $30 million.
You're going to be paying him on a rookie wage scale, which is great because you still
have your quarterback on a rookie, rookie deal as well.
I might be off with the timing, but I look at it like the Eagles.
I think they had AJ Brown first.
Yep.
And then they drafted Devante Smith.
Sure.
And you keep layering your talent, adding talent for your young quarterback.
Right.
So you got Terry.
You draft carnal tape.
Right.
It makes a lot of sense.
800, 636, 1067 will take your calls.
When we get back, you're forced to pick one of these Ohio state studs to be the next
Washington commander.
Which one do you pick will get to your calls next?

For all the consternation about Jaden Daniels playing in a flag football game over the weekend,
perhaps what's the cooler story about flag football over the weekend?
Uh huh.
Darrell Green, a true legend of the game.
Trying out for the US flag football squad.
Yeah.
You know Darrell well, and his speed is unrivaled.
His speed is still very, very good.
He's 66.
And 66 years old.
He just heard 66 last month.
He can now run some dung dudes with playing the league right now.
So I want to start top of the list.
To me, and you'll be able to speak to it better, Darrell Green's not about publicity stunts.
Like that's not what he's doing this for, right?
Nice pie.
Something he saw.
He had an opportunity.
And as he stated, if I, if I make it, I, I make it if I don't, at least I tried something
he wanted to try out for, you know, Darrell could have probably went to the Olympics running
back in the day, chose to go into NFL and didn't go to the Olympics had a faster 100 meters
than Carl Lewis when he was coming out of college.
So this is an opportunity.
Something he's saying he missed, I guess Darrell Green said via USA flag football, Instagram.
There's nothing like getting on that field and competing on behalf of this country.
And then topping that off, standing on that top podium, getting that gold, I've done it
in track in college and high school, I've been in super bowls.
This is the granddaddy of the mall.
Don't feel sorry for me.
Don't feel bad for me.
I'm a competitor just like everybody else.
And I'm going to give it my best and walk away with my head up either way.
Yeah.
Kayleigh Brownson is USA football senior director of high performance and national teams.
Brownson said Darrell qualified through our digital combine.
He's later in his career than the other trials participants, but his testing results were
impressive.
Our coaches and staff felt he deserved a closer look.
He's a rare athlete who has stayed in shape and is ready to compete this week.
Have you seen?
He posts a lot of stuff when he's doing these little backpettles.
I have.
He's training.
Yeah.
I don't know a person that's playing in the league right now.
I got a quick backpettling here.
He can backpettling.
Like when you see people backpettling, you're like, they're not doing it like Darrell
doing it.
All this.
Only thing moving is like his feet.
And he just gliding across the damn flow.
So green in his prime, absolutely.
Yeah.
I bet Darrell is still sub, what do you think he's running a 40 in right now?
Four, seven, faster than that.
Wow.
I bet he's faster than that.
You think he's still at like four, five?
He was four, two.
When he was like 50, I think why were those sports if I remember correctly?
He ran four, four, five, something like sub four, five, because he would always do it.
But listen.
I train with him before.
And the stuff he does, not many people want to do.
But all the little speed things he does, like uphills, he does, he's quick stuff, backpettles.
They ran all these 300s and stuff at George Mason.
I went out there two, three times, I decided my game was probably ain't about all it does.
But Darrell never stopped running.
You know, like people say something is a gift, he has a gift with that, but he also understands
the art of it, you know what I mean?
I would watch these dudes on the treadmill, him and Johnny Thomas.
They put the treadmill speeds that I refuse to try to go through.
You know, he has a different gear, you know, so I don't know, we don't know what's going
to happen, but you know what, sometimes those who never try, never know, at least you
don't know something if you go through it.
Do you think the age is a factor, but the guy is a unicorn, right?
Like, it's not the same as others say, as the woman said, through the digital combine,
he made it.
Not many other 60 years or 50 years, going to make it through the digital combine, you
know what I'm saying?
So he did something to be there.
I also think that the, here's an interesting subset of things.
Apparently the person, Callie Bronson, that's the leader of the U.S. national team, one
is a dude.
Callie is maybe not.
Take that back.
I don't know that.
But they are local.
Really?
Yeah.
So the boss of this flag football stuff is from Mount Vernon and went to Mason for college.
So there could be like a relationship with Darrell, which is just kind of interesting.
I recognize that Darrell is a unicorn physically.
You might know this.
Do you think he has invested in watching the flag football game over the weekend between
the flag football team and the NFL players?
It's a different sport entirely.
And I think that's important to note.
And I think if NFL players trained for flag football, I think there's a bunch of them
that could make that conversion it.
But like it would require some real time getting to know, understand, evolve into that
game.
Well, me knowing Darrell, he didn't think about this yesterday to give him saying, right.
I think Monica mentioned to me that race, the rating say he had been in Arizona training
and doing stuff.
He's been preparing for this.
He's just like a wake up in the morning, oh, I'm going to go try out.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
He's been preparing for us.
I'm sure he know rules and different things of that nature.
Some guys at that, like, he's beyond the years of most people would think to try and do
this.
But I don't think he will be going out there and do something if he don't think he has
the capabilities of trying to compete.
I agree.
Yeah.
Now, I don't know how deep these rosters go.
Do you guys know that?
How big of a roster?
No.
But I do know watching that national team and we didn't interview.
There's a local guy that's on the national team.
I want to say it was from Pinch George's County.
They're good, huh?
They're really good.
They're good.
So I just, I love the mindset.
Like in my office at home, I have Teddy Roosevelt's man in the arena speech framed that it's
not the critic.
It's not the guy on the sideline making judgments.
It's the person in the arena that matters.
The person that's willing to put it on the line.
And I absolutely love that Darryl is willing to do this.
You know him well.
Yeah.
Like, do you think it's crazy or do you think he can actually make the team?
I think it's, I think both.
I think he could.
I think it's very crazy to even imagine it.
But I have watched the dude run.
From the moment when he, when he was 40, I mean, my last year here, we were out there running
and doing right 424.
He was 40 years old.
Nobody else on the team ran anywhere close to a 4, 3, he ran 424.
And then still like following them on social media and watching the things he still does.
And knowing the type of duty is, if he didn't think he could still run or do different stuff,
he wouldn't put himself through it.
You know what I'm saying?
Like some guys that go out there just to try, you know, over the thing they can do it.
But some do understand the embarrassment that could come with it.
So they wouldn't put themselves in their position if they didn't think they still had
the capabilities.
Do flag football players go both ways?
Like do you play offense and defense?
For the most part, yeah.
Do you think he's a DB in flag football?
I think he can be a DB DB slash receiver because I think straight line speed, he still
has straight line speed that's going to amaze anybody.
And the dude that look across say, oh, I just do 66, I ain't got to run with him.
They're going to find out real quick.
F-A-F-O.
You know what I mean?
Yo, this could be, this could be a serious F-A-F-O situation with Darryl Green.
I'm guessing most of these flag football players are in their 20s, right?
Like, I don't know.
Some of those guys on that US team has to be a little bit older than 22.
It's not just speed, it's also like speed and quickness, which is different.
How was Darryl's like short area burst quickness through the roof, right?
I saw a thing maybe two, three weeks ago on his Instagram I was where he backed belt and
come out of the brakes.
He looks like the guy is just playing NFL right now to me.
So the guy, Hush, pull up his Instagram and find some little training things he does.
You be amazed.
How is Hush?
36.
See?
And he's like, yeah, and he's one of the top dudes.
This is interesting, dude.
If Darryl Green makes, if Darryl Green makes the USA football team, how quickly does Disney
license that for a movie?
You know yesterday, right?
So this at the fanatics flag football classic that joined the Jaden played in over this
weekend, they only had 12 players on the US roster.
Okay.
Just saying that's very difficult to make that team if there's only 12 people and some
of these guys, I feel like the dude that played quarterback from home been around with
that team for a good bit.
The dude that seemed to be playing quarterback in the game I watched was Caceris.
He is 24, so he's probably on the young end of this.
I don't know man.
I don't see any downside to it.
One thing a salute to the people outside who want to doubt it.
They didn't do it, you know what I'm saying?
You go out and you sit out for a goal.
It's not automatic.
You're going to accomplish it, but you have to set out for it.
And he's already crossed one step.
A lot of other people, young and in him, probably think they're better athletes at this point.
They didn't make that next step.
He did.
So keep moving.
What's wrong with you, can't brother?
Did you text them or anything when you saw this?
Nah, I'm texting them.
What's your gut say about what?
Making the team.
I don't know what the criteria is for it.
How many people they're going to keep or whatever, but I'm going to tell you this, they're
going to be people that are going to walk away from here saying, damn, that dude could
still run.
And they're going to have some people that's going to start thinking about what they can
do if they dedicate themselves a little bit more.
So even if he accomplishes that and leave by making other people believe what you can
accomplish when you dedicate yourself some, that's a win to me.
So it's also interesting.
The flag football that we watched, Jaden play in, like that's the way flag football is
played now.
It's five on five and rosters are limited at 12, I believe.
And considering they already have a 12 man national team, you would think those guys
make the team.
I don't know if you heard this, but Tom Brady, after that flag football game came out
and said, yeah, we should really change this around to make it look more like seven
on seven with an offensive line, like, you don't have a seven, you don't have an offensive
line with seven on seven.
What time talking about to make it look more like real football, sorry, like where you
have a running back and a tight end, but, but then you're not doing what they do.
That's why that's my thing, like, leave it what it is, Tom, you, since you got embarrassed
to you in the Paul do stuff, you just go do what you do.
Let them people keep doing what they've been doing.
So for me, it's interesting because it's like, is the NFL trying to take this over?
Just let these people do their thing.
No, I have, I don't think you need to change the product.
I've been to these seven v seven tournaments.
It is electrified.
They've got some athletic dudes that you don't need no damn offensive line out there.
Go do a clinic on the side for the offensive line.
This is not something for them unless they can run like Trent.
Quick for the, for the aquarium, Jeffery, you think Darryl Green makes the flag football
squad.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Fast.
There's only 12 dudes that make the team.
Yes.
Yeah.
Look, it's not even going to come down to the physical thing too.
Like, yes, he could still do it physically.
This man has been elite at the highest level.
His brain is going to scope stuff out very easily.
The US better take a chance on him.
Stallion is Darryl Green make the flag football Olympic team.
I don't think he does.
I want him to.
It's like, listen, like we just saw this past weekend.
The flag football guys are different, man.
They just are like, yes, they're sport.
It's a different sport.
It's a different sport.
Yes.
I don't know if he makes it.
I don't think it's because of a lack of speed.
Yeah.
I just think it's a different sport.
And dude, on some level, I feel like USA flag football kind of owes it to the USA flag football
players that have been committed to this for a long time.
That's the first time this is in the Olympics, like to not let NFL guys come in and just
take it over.
Hey, I don't care if it's NFL guys, the guys that ain't playing NFL.
If you're better than them, you're better than them playing playing.
Yeah.
I mean, that's what they want to win.
So you're not worried about no dedication.
This is about who's the best.
Did I see that the NFL players complaining?
It was like, he's sliding.
He's almost on the ground.
It's a different sport.
You know what I am curious about?
What if flag football now becomes like the world baseball classic where like an Italian
dude from New Jersey can play on the Italy flag football team?
You know what I'm serious?
That would be lit.
I don't like to check it out.
That could be kind of cool.
Um, all right.

Today is the Ohio State pro day, Danny.
So Bobby Carpenter covers college football and went to Ohio State and is a part of their
radio broadcast.
He's going to be with us at six to discuss the Buckeyes at the top of the draft.
So we're going to be busy.
Great guest throughout busy, busy show, but let's start with that Ohio State pro day.
Here is how I'm going to put into perspective the significance of this day.
Alabama is one of a dozen P4 tight teams that have a pro day today.
Alabama, the University of the Crimson tie at that team.
Yep.
Nobody's caring.
We're talking about it.
On the day that Alabama has a pro day, Washington, Senate contingent that includes GM, Adam
Peters, assistant GM Lance, Newmark, head coach, Dan Quinn, offensive coordinator, David
Blau, defensive coordinator, Durante Jones.
They all went to the Ohio State pro day because you're going to see four top 10 players
there in sunny styles, Arville, Reese, Caleb Downs and Cornell Tate.
That's how impressive it is, Danny, that even Alabama's like, hey, is anyone want to
come see us?
We got some guys playing today.
We have some football players.
I mean, just give you an idea.
I mean, this is, it depends on your big board.
It depends on which scouts you like and that's all well and good.
But there are seven guys that could probably go in the top three rounds for a Ohio State.
Seven.
I think Alabama's got two and that includes, you know, Ty Simpson depends on your view
of him.
Four in the top 10 picks.
Yeah, four of the top 10 picks.
Seven in the first three rounds is pretty cool too.
Four players in the top 10 is probably only happened a couple of times in draft history.
It's amazing.
Yeah, the level talent.
So what I wanted to do out of the shoot here, actually, is you and I discuss these four
players and try to rank them.
So there's two different ways to do it.
First on our big boards, forget the commanders, their needs, positional value, all that
stuff.
In the order of the careers that they will have in the NFL, how would you rank the four
players at Ohio State?
I have a much easier time at the top than at the bottom.
What I mean by that is my favorite Buckeye in the straffed is sunny styles, the six foot
five inch, two hundred forty five pound linebacker who ran a four four six 40 has a forty three
and a half inch vertical, three cone, twenty yard shuttle off the charts.
In fact, his Wrath score and nobody loves an R.A.S. like Adam Peters loves an R.A.
Oh, they love that.
That is your relative athletic score.
It's done on a one to 10 scale, essentially.
He came out at a nine point nine nine and change.
So there have been three thousand two hundred and fifteen linebackers since 1987 who have
been scored on this R.A.S. table.
Where do you think he ranks among thirty two hundred and fifteen players at his position
athletically?
Fifth.
That's a pretty good guess.
Number one.
Number one.
He is one of three thousand two hundred fifteen at linebacker from eighty seven through
twenty twenty six.
He's going to play off the ball.
You can put a green dot on the helmet.
He can call the plays and play Mike.
He's an amazing tackle.
They're only missed depending on the sight you're looking at between two and four tackles
based on the grading last year.
Absolutely incredible.
But on top of that, he can play safety at six five.
You think Kyle Hamilton can play safety at that size.
People said, yeah, he's long at work.
I think sunny styles could do that in a roll at the next level is positionless.
He is my favorite overall player in the draft probably.
Doesn't mean he should go first overall.
But I would put him at the top of a board with Ohio State talent.
He's pretty incredible.
The only fear I have or reservation is Isaiah Simmons.
There are different players, the different people, but Simmons had a similar profile where
you go, he could also play safety.
He could do anything just because his athleticism was so off the charts.
He had a nine point nine seven, I believe, raw athletic score relative athletic score.
I would say raw.
I don't know why I always say raw because it's R a and I would just think it's raw on
my mind.
That's relative.
That's up there too.
Styles, I think it's a ballerad, I think it's a bad ass, I think it's a better player.
Maybe than Simmons was.
We were in love with the idea of Simmons.
That's the only cautionary tale in my mind.
That's the last negative I'll say about sunny styles.
I think that's a bad dude that's going to be a star at the next level.
I hear the Simmons comp quite frequently.
And look, there's no guarantees.
Sunny styles might just be this incredible college talent and athlete and it doesn't transition.
I don't love that comparison because Simmons did not have the tape that Styles had and
he's not the physical, a great player that sunny styles is.
There is a violence and a willingness, a competitiveness physically to him that I don't think
Simmons had.
Now, in hindsight, that became pretty obvious.
I don't know that that was what people were screaming before the draft, but that would
be a way that I would differentiate between the two.
But anyway, I've got Styles one.
Who's your number one Buckeye?
Caledowns, I think is the best player.
Now again, this is all about position value and scarcity and, you know, I'm struggling
with this when it comes to he and Jeremiah love and awful lot.
But I think downs for all 32 teams would walk in and be one of their two or three best
defensive players.
I think that guy's incredible.
And the same conversation you and I have had a bunch about Jeremiah love where it's like,
are you worried about position about you and yes, you kind of tie yourself into knots?
It's like, that is awesome, baller day one.
The Kyle Hamilton effect.
He's not Kyle Hamilton.
That's a different player.
Obviously, Hamilton's big and tall and balanced isn't that he's basically six foot, you
know, a couple pounds over 200.
But I think that dude was born to play everywhere as a safety swiss army knife, kind of do a
little bit of everything.
I think he's outstanding right now, this minute.
I cannot disagree with any of that.
And I actually think in this moment, Caleb downs is a better safety than our Val Reese
is an edge, but I'm going to put Reese number two and we're only talking about the players
at the Ohio State pro day.
Their pro day is today, but it is important that I note that I'm not cheating on Jeremiah
love.
Or somewhere wondering, what's happening?
Why am I not talking about him?
Do what are you doing?
Why am I discussing the possibility of other players at number seven?
I want him to know that he's still number one in my heart.
If you gave me a love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love...
Jeremiah love.
But our Val Reese's second, and the reason I got Reese number two of the Ohio State crop,
This is more of a projection play.
You've seen this in the past when teams occasionally, honestly, make mistakes, but like a Trayvon Walker
going over in Aiden Hutchinson.
I think he's super easy to dream on the ceiling of what he could be at 64240, sheer explosiveness.
You know, he ran a 44640, hit a 1 5 10 yard split, he's got twitch, he's got burst.
I think he's going to be able to do that thing where he can bend a little bit around
the edge.
He's not going to be super stiff necessarily.
But the twitchiness, laterally, that allows him to get to shift ear backs in space.
The fact that he's going to be able to rush or if you want to stand him up and spy because
he's the best athlete on the field, he could do that too.
I think if you want him to cover someone in the flat on his two feet running around
out wide, I think he'll be able to do that.
He is just fluid, he's going to be fast, he's going to be able to execute whatever you
ask him to.
He's going to have to get a little bigger and stronger to be an edge, particularly upper
body.
He doesn't really have that club in the bag just yet.
And there's just some learning to be done.
He's going to be super raw in terms of, you know, route awareness and zoning drops and
all those types of things because he has not been asked to play a lot of edge.
I think it's something like 50 to 60 snaps that you're watching on tape of this guy at
the position.
He's mostly been a second level linebacker.
I've got to put Reese second on my board of the Ohio State players who are answering
questions at their pro day of commanders brass today because of the possibilities of
what he can become.
This is what's so hard and I don't disagree with anything that you just said, but I've
got him third, even though he could be the best of it of all of them.
Like we could look up in a couple of years and that's your, it's either here, Miles
Garrett down the stretch to that's a player of the year type stuff where I think he's
that capable, but I don't know that he is right now, right?
So that's why I've got styles number two.
All the reasons you said I co-signed, I think is a heat seeking missile.
I think the athleticism jumps off the charts.
I think there'll be nothing that he can't do with the next level as kind of the quintessential
off ball linebacker kind of in this new era football where everyone's got to run like,
oh, no, I'll get a mismatch because they got to tie it in.
Not a problem.
Oh, no, put a slot receiver out there or running back in space.
He's got it.
He'll be just fine.
Third for me is down.
So he flipped those two.
Yeah.
Third for me is Reese.
I've watched way more of the edges than downs.
So I admit fault in that and I've not to say you don't go back and watch some of those
games, but I've been more fixated on those other positions because it just feels like
and felt like especially early on that might be more inclined of what Washington was going
to do.
But here is my only concern with downs and there are super smart people that I talk to that
think he's the best player in the draft, right?
You hear that.
I personally think he's going to go after Washington picks.
Maybe they take him at seven.
That's kind of where the draft starts for him, but I think he's back in top 10 if one
of these guys goes outside of the top 10 and I'd include Cornell taking that, it would
not surprise me if it's downs.
My only question is everyone talks about him is this like positionless, do everything
awesome, safety.
You hear the Kyle Hamilton comps and I've said this all along, I know Toby loves Caleb
Downs really wants them to take Caleb Downs.
My fear is he looks nothing like Kyle Hamilton.
There isn't a length to him.
There's not a big guy.
He is six foot.
He is 205.
He's got like 30 inch arms and so he's boot a baker.
Now, boot a baker is a badass.
You guys forget about what kind of player he was in Arizona.
If you took that guy at seven and he becomes boot a baker, I still think that's a win.
That's a legit really good talent.
But I wonder about him covering the big tight end, why tight ends.
I wonder about him and man coverage down the field and Logan will tell you we've done
all this on take command and broken all these players down.
He'll say the Michigan tight ends like six five and if you watch that tape, basically
Caleb Downs stays in his pocket and maybe he can do that.
I'm not saying he can.
That would be my biggest concern.
When you watch him, you go this guy, the six foot guy and he's a great football player.
But at the next level, is he going to be able to defend the Uber at like him against
Chigga Conco as an example, just the size and the guy that moves like that and every
team's got guys like that.
Sure.
Yeah.
Does he match up with Brock Bowers when you guys play?
It's proof will be in the pudding.
But I will say this, watching Ohio State games because they're on natty TV and awful lot.
You may know they're a pretty high profile team.
The first guy that jumps out when you watch the defense is down.
Now, as you're watching down, the other guys, you go, who is that dude that's huge and running
the ball every time?
Who's this guy that looks like an action figure in Reese and the like some of that might
be because of the how they ask him to play and that's totally, it's totally fair because
he's lying up from the third level.
He's in space running start anticipating stuff, playing downhill, but that's the first
guy that jumps out to you.
It's also got to be noted whenever we start debating players at the top of the board,
like there's, I do this with Rubin Bain all the time where I point out things like I'd
be a little disappointed if they took Bain as an example.
And so the other day somebody came up to me.
We were out at Nats Park and they're like, why don't you want Rubin Bain?
Why do you like all the other guys so much you can't stand Rubin Bain?
And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no.
We're debating between a bunch of supermodels who are total catches, like this is a great
situation.
I'm just saying.
I don't like her laugh.
I don't like how she crickles her nose when she looks at me.
Those earlobes are a little different.
You know what I'm saying?
Like this is the most minute breakdown of all guys that I would love the commanders
to get.
So if they take Caleb Downs, let's throw a party.
I'm happy with that.
I think Doronte Jones, let's figure this out.
Let's make him a superstar.
The only player that I would be disappointed, I just did like a trumpet with my fingers.
Did you see that?
I was interested.
What gesture is this?
I've never done that before.
Well, now you know what you have to do.
Your hands go like the best safety, the most wonderful safety, the terrific safety.
I told him to be a safety.
So it was a safety.
I started his whole career.
Why did I do that?
I don't know.
But you're doing this thing.
Don't you don't come in here?
What is that called?
Well, so he does kind of like the invisible accordion, right?
So then sometimes, but if it's closer, it's on the kitty cat with a bowl of yarn.
But then the very rare, this is a big point.
There's two fingers in the air.
There's a two finger point.
And he points up like this.
That's what you were doing.
And I was like, I just don't know where that came from.
That's a second tier Trump gesture that you were doing.
I was not ready for that.
I think he's going to be really good.
I'm happy.
This is Downs.
This is Downs.
Okay.
She's back to them.
But Downs is my number three.
Happy bad ass Reese little more projection pin Downs firm enough pencil to call us my finger.
See what I'm saying?
Yes, I do.
And in that same tier, then I've got my number four, which is carnaltate, who's right there.
Any of the four buck eyes, I could be really excited with it.
If they take carnaltate at seven as much as you and I have debated it, my wants and needs
and all these things.
The day after the draft we come in here, I'm fired up because they just got a really
good weapon.
It was going to be their wide receiver one in two years.
Yeah.
That's how I feel.
So I slide Reese down because it's projection for me.
Whereas I go right now this minute, you know, close your eyes, you wake up and it's whatever
day of mini camp, OTAs, whatever, Caleb Downs with 20 styles is on campus.
Yep.
That's the second or third best defense player on the team right away.
Like right now this minute, because I like that one, I know Reese, I think, and that's
why I split him down.
He's on nothing wrong.
He's going to go highest in the draft because that potential is so tantalized.
One guy that's essentially changing positions, yeah, or being asked to do something he hasn't
done a ton of.
So then that brings us to the commander's element of this rapid fire here, which is okay.
So then our boards, very similar, but I go styles, Reese Downs Tate, you flip Downs and
Reese Downs.
Downs and Reese Downs.
And you have.
So every third.
Oh, okay.
So you flip, you go Downs, Styles, Reese Tate for Washington is your list the same.
So in other words, I still have Styles one.
I think I have Reese two where I make a change is even though I like Downs more than Tate,
I actually think for the commanders at seven, Tate makes more sense than Downs does.
Yeah.
This is what's wild for for Washington.
It's Reese one.
So it's because the idea that past Russia, it's so valuable.
Those guys make the second most in the sport.
If you've got one for four years, it's the most affordable outside of the quarterback spot
or receiver.
It's incredibly valuable.
If he becomes an all pro, he's making $40 million a year.
Yeah.
If Downs becomes an all pro, he's making $16 million or whatever.
And that's kind of the point.
So I mean, again, JSN is the example.
They got four years, really only five with the rookie option of unbelievable value before
it jumps to a 40 plus million bucks against the cap.
So my one is Reese.
I think my two is Styles, two A or three is Tate and four is Downs, which is crazy because
he's my favorite player on that group.
I think he's the best of the four.
The interesting thing about receiver two is receivers do not get free anymore from teams.
Yep.
Look at the market.
It is the number one used position for franchise tag.
So you look at like the Dallas Cowboys with George Pickens.
Somebody might have thought all year long, well, they're not going to pay him close to
$40 million a year.
You mentioned JSN a minute ago, who just got the record over 40 million to play receiver.
Top in Jamar chase and some of those guys.
The Falcons have a wide receiver one in Drake London who's supposed to be a free agent
next year.
And I've already started to get comments from people asking, could that be the commander's
target to help replace Terry if he leaves?
I don't think he's going to be available.
I think Atlanta's going to tag him.
There's a couple receivers like that that could be hitting the market this coming year
that probably get franchise tag.
And because the position now at the very high end is a $40 million position like Edge,
drafting a guy in the top 10 becomes that much more prudent.
So if they're really sold on carnal tape, it makes sense.
It's just a matter of like, what do you see when you evaluate him?
And I think he's just not as like short area quick or twitchy.
But the guy that Logan's been comping him to that I like lately is T Higgins.
And that makes sense to me.
He's a little bit more T Higgins.
My commenters fans will hate this and they'll think I don't like him.
I'm not saying he's going to have this career.
And in fact, if you're a big Washington fan, cover your ears, I guess.
But like I see a little bit of Josh Doxan coming out of school.
Now, I don't mean that as a NFL prospect.
I swear, but if you go back when Josh Doxan was at Texas Christian,
he was a badass, that big body type where he could, you know, run routes
and most people and do some of that get down the field with speed.
It's a similar skill set that didn't work out for him in the league.
I obviously don't think that's what's going to happen with carnal tape.
But just to give a stylistic body type of a receiver
that people can envision if they haven't seen a lot of carnal tape.
So the guy that he reminds me of the most.
And again, I try trust smarter people than me, like Logan and company a lot more.
He reminds me of Devonte Adams, very similar body, right?
Adams is not as big as you think he is.
He's, you know, six, one and a half, around six, two, just over 200.
Ran a similar 40 time, even though carnal tape's agent couldn't wait to tell people
it was actually better than that in one stopwatch, Adam, slightly faster, et cetera.
But big lean sort of sneaky quick, right?
Setting you up with some of those great steps and head and shoulder fakes and the like.
I think good and contested catch type stuff will run by you despite the fact
it doesn't seem as explosive.
Like I think that dude is about to route people up and be exceptional.
Grant and Danny on the fan happy Ohio State pro day.
That died.
How about that contingent going down there?
I think that's like nobody else has a pro day today, right?
Everyone got on the same jet.
You guys want to go Bruce, you there, buddy?
Kyle in the van.
We're headed pick them up to Columbus.
Peters, Newmark, Blau, Jones, Quinn, they're all in the house today.
G and D on the fan as we told you, we've got a busy show.
Scott Turner, former coordinator and play caller in the league joins us at three.
Kate Cavalli is going to be on the bump for the Nats at Rigley Field tomorrow at 525.
Bobby Carpenter, former Buckeye, who covers Ohio State at six to talk about some
of these prospects, Washington could grab in the top 10.
But next one day away from managing his first ever game in the big leagues, 33 year old
Natskipper Blake Butteira joins us on the fan.
Mark, when he called in earlier during the show for an NFL hunch for next year,
did say that he believes the Patriots and the bears will take a step back in 2026.
But his reasoning for the bears is that they were going to make a stupid trade.
And you're right.
It would be a stupid trade based on what Mark presented to us.
He read on Instagram somewhere.
That's always a great place to go for trade compensation that the bears would be
willing to offer next year's first rounder this year's second rounder and next
year's third rounder to move up 18 spots to Washington's number seven from their
number 25 perch in the NFL draft per the Jimmy Johnson draft value chart.
That would not really be a trade that would be a dumb trade on the bears behalf.
Now, not everybody goes by the Jimmy Johnson trade chart.
And who did we have on the other day where we talked about, you know,
just trade compensation being the most difficult thing.
Not only fans try to predict, but even, you know, NFL reporters, it's, you know,
it's about, I think it was our guy, Mike Genetti from SpotTrack.
He said, it's impossible because it's about, you know, the actual demand and the
desperation to move on from a player.
But using the, you know, often cited Jimmy Johnson draft value chart,
just the first rounder next year, if you just took a middle of the pack average,
would be worth 1,050 points.
So the difference between, well, I should have started with that.
The difference between seven and 25 in this year's draft is exactly 780 points.
So Washington would have to get back 780 points or more to move back to 25.
Well, if Mark and Largo's Instagram source has it right, they would already
satisfy the 780 points plus about 310 points with next year's first alone.
So if Washington got next year's first to move back to 25, that'd be a good deal
for Washington based on the Jimmy Johnson draft chart.
If they then on top of that got a second rounder from Chicago in this year's draft,
worth 330 points and a second rounder, a third rounder next year worth about 200 points.
That'd be the all time fleasing.
So God, I hope Chicago takes Instagram's advice and trades a second.
This year, a first and a third next year to move up 18 spots.
I don't think that'll happen.
I think Washington's more likely than not going to sit at 7 and make a pick.
This is a draft at least according to the draft experts that has a limited number
of true first round grades and then in terms of really high first round grades,
maybe the lowest in many, many years, like six, seven years.
So you're talking about somewhere between six and a 10 or 11 really high first round
grades and maybe no more than 14 or 15 first round grades in total.
So Washington, you need to be careful about trading back too far,
even though you would accumulate more picks and look, I'm all for trading back.
I'm all for the volume in an exercise that becomes very, very hit and miss,
not even hit and miss. It's hit miss miss on average.
You hit one and then you miss on the next two and you're not really sure which of the three
you're going to hit on. So it's better to have a lot of picks than fewer picks.
But I think Washington stays at 7 and if they stay at 7, it's very possible that they will be
selecting a player from the Ohio State University. Ohio State's holding their pro day as we speak.
They have just a few players working out for all 32 NFL teams, all 32 in and present in Columbus
for the Ohio State workout and pro day today. From Washington, by the way, Adam Peters is there,
Lance Newmark is there, Dan Quinn is there, David Blow and Dorontay Jones all in attendance
for Ohio State's pro day. The largest contingent of team representatives in Columbus today,
the Saints and the Browns, but the Washington presence is pretty significant.
And Ohio State has 17 draft eligible players in attendance of which four of those players
are projected to go in the first round. Those players would be Caleb Downs, Carnell Tate,
Arvel Reese and defensive tackle, Caden MacDonald. Those are the players predicted to be in the first
round. And as we know, the first three mentioned perhaps in the first seven picks, Downs Tate and Reese.
So big day today, a lot of these players did not work out in Indie, they will be running the 40,
they will be doing the vertical, they'll be doing the broad jump, the three cone and all the other
stuff that's included in the underwear Olympics in Indianapolis. But Ohio State's pro day has
become pretty much along with like LSUs and Bama's pretty big deal. So we'll see what comes out
of it today. The more and more I think about it, I'm really a big Tate fan for Washington at seven.
Now Bailey would be my guy. And Val tweeted me to say, Kevin, check out the Rascore, the, you know,
relative athletic score, which Adam Peters loves, you know, for for Jeremiah Love, he writes,
it's off the charts, similar to and better than Bijan in some measurements. And I want Washington
to take Tate, but Tate doesn't have that high Rascore, doesn't have elite athletic traits.
And he doesn't think that Peters will do that. It's going to be Reese, Styles, Love,
or maybe Delaene, the corner from LSU. I would say Bailey would certainly fit into that and maybe
even Bane, but he writes no downs and no Tate because they don't have elite athletic numbers.
Fair enough. Yeah, I mean, it's, it's possible. We have certainly seen, you know, Adam Peters
air on the side of high relative athletic scores, even though I think Chica Concoe did not have
crazy scores, but this isn't, you know, this isn't a draft unnecessarily. So we'll see what happens.
I mean, last year's first round pick, Connerly, I think had very high Rascores, Amos,
Lane, Madrono definitely did. Right? Madronos were off the charts last year for linebackers
in Rascores, the year before a lot of their players were as well, but not necessarily all of
their free agents, even though some of the class this year fits that narrative. We'll see.
All right. When we come back, the NFL has actually made some rule changes already for next year,
and there's an interesting situation developing in the NBA with a player that is among the favorites
to win the MVP, but is currently injured. Really interesting dilemma for the league. That's next.
So we talked about this flag football game that Jane Daniels participated in,
and we saw these NFL players diving, going to the ground, twisting, cutting.
Should Jane Daniels be allowed to play in this game ever again? Never again. That's the pull of
the day. I didn't agree. It gets the last one. Not just Jane Daniels. If I'm the NFL and
Roger Adele on all the owners, I see this. And I'm like, they're playing a goofy flag football
exhibition because fanatics is paying them a bunch of side money during the off season. And
we could lose some of our star players for an entire season because of this game. We're not
going to allow our players to be in this going forward. I mean, the Eagles had their quarterback
and their best receiver out there. Right. Yeah. I mean, if you watch the clips, you see
burrows spinning around there. Everything trying to evade guys. Yeah. You see Sequan. I don't
care what anybody says. And they're running back. Sequan took off. It was bursting as fast as he
could. Yeah. He was accelerating as fast as he could on the one instance. I saw. Yeah. Right now,
78% say no. If you want to call us and weigh in, 1, 866, 666, 7. Right. Yeah. I think, I think,
I think GP, I think everybody owes GP a big apology. Yeah. If you're never killed him, I thought
he was a reasonable take. I just didn't. I didn't think it was that big of a deal until I saw
the highlight because you would just think, oh, they'll just. I just thought that Joe Barrow
and 50% yeah, they'd be hanging back in the pocket. You throw throw a few balls, not put
their bodies in harm's way. And I was clearly wrong on that after seeing some of the highlights.
1,800, 636, 1,067, specifically with Jaden Daniels here in Washington should be allowed to
participate in this type of game. I'm with you. I didn't think it was going to be as serious.
The only thing I'd say is these guys worked out on their own in the off season and could get hurt
just as easily. No. I'm going to. Yeah, but that's a little. That's a little different because
that's you're working out in preparation for this for camp. Okay. Yeah. It's a little different.
If you blow your knee out deadlifting too much weight, but guys want outs in the off season. Now
quarterbacks maybe don't, but at least at least they're doing that to improve in playing NFL football.
This is in preparation for camp. This is a side show where they're just pocketing, I don't know,
a hundred K each. I don't know what they got paid by fanatics. Probably more than that to show
up at this goofy exhibition. At least if you did it during training for the regular season,
I can live with that. I was able to live with it. If my quarterback is gone for a season,
or God forbid suffers a career ending type of injury, playing in a fanatics. If Jaden didn't have
kind of this mini reputation of getting injured now that he's been injured multiple times
this past year, I don't know if fans would be as critical. But since he had such an injury
plate season, I can see why fans. I wouldn't even want my 53rd guy on the roster playing in this event.
Yeah, because there's there's no upside other than him getting a nice payday outside of his NFL
check. What's the upside? That's the bottom right. There is no upside for the team. There's zero.
All it is is risk. Can you play in a celebrity basketball game? No, absolutely not.
Nothing but the explosion. He can golf. Yeah, nothing. He can't even play pickleball. Even if you're
in a lead athlete, you can't play pickleball. But growing up, we always talk about the superstar's
competition, which we love, which was on ABC back in the day. Yeah, probably gotten hurt
through the obstacle course. That was in the late 70s or early 80s when the NFL paychecks
aren't what they are now. Yeah, where the NBA paychecks were name your sport.
And those who are I mean, I talked about the very first pass that hurts through to Devante.
Right. He landed kind of awkward on top of the other guy. Yeah, he could have easily if he lands
underneath them, he could have got injured. And I think a lot of these guys do sign deals that
outline. If you get hurt doing any of these activities we have listed, fill in the blank with
mountain climbing, you know, jumping out of an airplane with a parachute, fill in the blank.
You can enjoy doing that. It nullifies your contract, your NFL contract.
So, yeah, stay away from the dangerous activities. Your job is already dangerous enough.
What's the movie Ben Stiller and Brian Brown resessing the risk? I mean, I long came Paul.
I thought it was long. It's a great comedy. It's so you would be like Ben Stiller saying,
yeah, can't do this. No, can't do that. I'm Ben Stiller telling you all the fun things that you
like to do outside of football. You can't do until you retire. Chaden Danes can't go skiing.
Absolutely not. That would be one of the worst things to do.
Water skiing is dangerous too. No, no, no, no.
So can ballall play pickup basketball every day during the summer with all his buddies?
Scrooing around three on three. Is he training for?
No, he's just for the wizard's basketball. He's playing basketball. No.
That's what they every single NBA player, all summer long, all they do,
play in the Drew League, play against each other. Not if I'm the owner, they're not.
They wouldn't be good. They don't mean they're not carrying guys playing in preseason still.
Yeah, I guess because it's under the guise of getting ready for the regular season. Yeah,
I'll allow it. What was the score of the the burrow Jayden team against the. How would you know?
I don't know. Look it up there. I mean, it's on YouTube. I don't know. Look it up then.
Well, because the other game, when Tom Brady's team played against them, they lost 46-16 or 48-16.
I just didn't know what the JD school was. I would love that was Brady Humboldt at all.
Did he give deference to the other? I hope he did because he got smoked.
Let's go to Scott, 863-6. Please, he'll throw into Grunk.
106, if you want to chime in, should Jayden have been allowed to play? I think GP was all over it
from the moment it was announced. I didn't have a strong opinion either way, but you know,
he's on to something for sure. Scott, what's up?
All right, guys, my take on this is he should not be playing in that, but
the other part of this is NFL players aren't that good at this. It's a different sport.
It's a different sport. It's a totally different sport. It's like sending Roger Federer out to play
Pickleball again. Somebody that's a skilled Pickleball player. Right. You probably do pretty good.
Pretty good, but that's it's true. It's a good point. Ben Jones. Okay. Like some of the top tennis players.
Yeah. Yeah, and you know, one of the biggest things I've heard guys say this is
pulling the flag isn't that easy. Yeah, I've always done that. These guys have good play,
flag, football regularly. They know exactly what they're doing and how to do it. Yeah, or to the USA
went 3-0 versus the founders and the Wildcats winning by a combined total of 106 to 44.
I'm watching the Wildcats founders game. So I'm watching the NFL players play against the NFL
players. But Jayden was hustling down that right sideline. I mean, something could have happened.
I mean, I, I thought that there'd be an instance or two where you'd accelerate, you know,
just because of competitiveness. But I'd say on the whole, those guys were going pretty hard.
And certainly the team, you know, say guys, they were going. And by the way, he did miss a wide open
debauchte Adams in the end zone. Who did? Jayden. Well, he did find Odell Beckham for a one-handed catch.
So I'll retort with that. You're breaking down the film of his past. I just go behind him.
I'm just watching. I mean, I guess you haven't seen a play in months. Yeah, who was it?
Somebody said the only two players that looked like they belonged with two team USA. One of them was
Jayden. And I can't remember who the second one was. But they're like basically of all of the NFL
guys to look like they belonged on that level. Jayden was one they named. I can't remember who
the other one. I know there was a late venue switch. Yeah, they were playing in front of a
sparse crowd. Yeah. Yeah. It was kind of embarrassing. weren't that many people out there.
I mean, I saw the raising canes, which again, I think is very good chicken.
They're logo and sponsorship. But I don't know where fanatics were they're getting all the money for
this like how fanatics is getting all the money. Yes, you're questioning how fanatics is making money.
No, you're not listening. How was fanatics sort of justifying this event like to, you know,
offset cost. I understand fanatics is money. I mean, enterprise. So they're just going to waste
10 million bucks on the event. Like how are they making their money?
I'm sure raising canes paid a big chunk. I saw. I think it was another jersey.
Nobody went to the event. It was Saudi back. Remember it was supposed to be there. I'm not sure
when it ended up happening at the end. But maybe that's what it was. I'm pretty sure these guys got paid.
For sure. I said Goon of money. They would have done it a lot like millions at all.
I said a hundred and that's probably way light per way. Like I think you might be way light.
Because there's no way to way way, Tom Brady is doing it for a hundred.
Right. Oil money, Saudi money. So it's the Saudi money would make sense.
That makes all the sense of the world. Right?
I guess that would make sense. By the way, I saw a an article
not to dive into politics, but there is a war going on in Iran, right?
So gas prices have gone way up.
And there were three countries that they say might be leading the charge for a future
four-day work week.
This is off the top, my memory.
I think it was Sri Lanka, Philippines, forget the third country, that they have implemented
a four-day work week to save on gas.
Okay.
I'm going to implement that for the United States.
It just could be the precursor.
What's like they say COVID was the precursor for more people working remotely.
Yeah.
I don't think I was being less productive as an answer.
I don't like that.
Doesn't mean you're less productive, just less people driving into work.
Hmm.
Let's go move to Sri Lanka.
Something tells me I'm going to be bleary eye driving to work five days a week.
I don't think we're going to move any sort of four-day week work week, right?
Well, the good news is, despite sort of the ill-advised nature of this thing, I don't
believe anybody was seriously hurting this thing, right?
When it's all said, none.
We'll just have to get hold of it.
I don't think so.
I didn't rock go down.
Everybody cares about grump.
Who cares about him?
I think the future of this event is, it's got to be retired guys, you know, you get
Brady, you get Grunk, you get LDL backup Jr.
You can throw in like a Johnny Mennzel.
So, you don't mean some people that have some name recognition.
But if you're a current guy, I mean, what's the guy's name that owns Fanatic's Michael
Rubin?
He put those guys at a tough spot.
I think JD should run some routes this year with Marcos Stone to him.
Did you like it?
You like him running routes?
Yeah, I mean, they just ran a play where they burrow through to him.
Got about 20 yards.
Does every flag football team do that?
Probably.
Well, you do the lateral so you have the option of running or throwing, right?
Work your dual threat guy.
I mean, did they practice?
Did the USA guys practice?
I'm sure they probably had.
They probably practices like NBA full star game.
Like the night before has practices.
Yeah.
Right.
They show up.
They may be say, OK, here's a couple of routes that we're going to run.
And that's probably it.
I mean, it.
List JD look good.
Yeah, physically look good.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm, you know, so that must have been an unbelievable flag football player by the way.
Who?
Change Daniels.
I'm sure.
I know RG3 is trying to get mixed.
Those are the perfect flag football players.
I was actually, I was actually a little bit surprised at the athleticism of the team USA guys.
And I shouldn't be.
I've seen, I've seen high end flag football games before.
Like it's like driving by some, you know, they're not even like that.
But I've seen like the hopes that are just like the good athletes playing flag football.
And you know, they're great athletes everywhere.
But it is, it is amazing that when they're competing against the NFL guys that they really
can show out.
Yep.
Well, it looks like most commanders fans do not want to see JD Daniels ever suit up in
another flag football game again.
You can vote at Junk's radio coming up next Hollywood, maybe trying to bring back a bad
