Now it's Michigan with numbers the other way.
Scale, cross-court, burnette to the line, to hand slam.
98.67 and a standing ovation from the Michigan bench
on a 17-2 run.
This is you better you bet, countdown to tip off
with Nick Costos and Brad Evans, presented by BEMGM.
That was Patrick McCarthy and Sarah Kustoff
with a call on Westwood 1, a national radio
in the first round as Michigan defeated Howard
to advance to the round of 32.
Bit of a tougher test awaits the Wolverines.
Like 30 minutes from now, when they tip off
against the Billekens of St. Louis, St. Louis,
be Georgia by approximately 9,000 points late on Thursday night.
We will preview that game and the rest of today's slate
in a moment, but we gotta tell you about our show sponsor

Brad, let's start our preview of today's slate
in the NCAA tournament.
12, 15 PM Eastern time, 30 minutes from right now,
we have the first game with Michigan and St. Louis,
the Wolverines, 11 and a half point favorites,
total 161 and a half, Jason Benetti,
Sarah Kustock with the call on Westwood One,
your thoughts on this game, Michigan, St. Louis.
Yeah, Cue Berlin in the background for you,
Top Gun fans, it's gonna take my breath away.
Oh, yeah, this game's gonna be fast-paced, man.
Boom, boom, boom, boom.
That's awesome.
Yeah, and this, it's gonna be unbelievable.
High possession game scoring is going to be
not at a premium, by any start to imagination.
It's gonna be frequent.
Michigan's a team that can absolutely fill out the cup.
If the Billikens have any remote shot
of knocking off the top seed in this Midwest region,
they're gonna have to shoot over the top
of the Axel-Liniborg of Mara as well.
Morez Johnson, the bigs of Michigan,
are they capable of doing that?
Yes, they have Milk Chamberlain.
Cream Abdul-Jabaret, Larry Nerd,
AK, Robbie Avila on this team.
Yeah, he's drawn some Dakota Yokech references,
and he has some of those sentences to his game.
Not exactly most athletic guy,
but highly skilled, bitch inside, bitch outside.
He's gonna have to have a monster game.
He got strong guard play.
What I love about St. Louis Castles,
Josh shirts his sets.
He really spreads you out, a lot of five out basketball.
So they will occasionally cut into the interior.
Well, Mara's gonna be lurking in there.
Again, it's their three point marksmanship,
which would be paramount if they're gonna spring
a colossal upset, it's 12 and a half point underdogs.
I think it's entirely on the table.
I think this game is gonna be like 1, 10 to 100.
When it's all said and done, yes.
I believe Michigan's gonna march on,
but this should be, should be the highest scoring game
possibly the entire NCAA tournament folks.
If you like, like old school running rubbles,
you wanna be style basketball for the 1990s.
This is a game for you.
Yeah, we have a high total in this one, 161 and a half
with St. Louis and Michigan.
Now remember, Billikins had 66 points in the paint
on Thursday night in the blowout win against Georgia.
That ain't happening against Michigan's big men here,
so I think Brad's right.
If St. Louis is gonna pull this upset
or keep the game close,
Billikins gonna have to shoot well from downtown.
I think Michigan wins this one going away.
I do like the Wolverines to win and cover.
Brad, we move on to 45 p.m. Eastern,
the three-six matchup in the East region.
Tom is on Michigan State,
taking on Michael Brown-Less, Louisville.
Michigan State, a four and a half point favorite.
Total in this one, 151 and a half.
Another Jason Benetti Saracoustak game on Westwood 1.
Yeah, if you look at somebody advanced at it,
both of these teams actually very evenly matched.
Boacon outright scored the basketball.
Both can give up a lot on an offensive end.
Both are outside the top 250
and affect a few goal percentage defense over the last month.
So that is a drag, that is an area of concern.
The advantage for Michigan, I think, twofold.
One with no Michael Brown on the floor,
the floor general, they're for Louisville and outstanding
freshman premier score.
Jeremy Fears of Michigan State.
Yes, he is downright dirty.
We all know that, very well documented during a big 10 play.
But a guy is one of the best.
And what Brad is referring to, just so people know,
what people are referring to is that Jeremy Fears
loves to kick opposing players in the junk.
It's happened on numerous occasions this year.
That is why Brad is called him dirty.
Brad, please continue.
Yes, and they're like bizarre kicks, like backwards kicks.
So I mean, they're very calculated.
I mean, Jeremy Fears knows what he's doing.
So he's going to try to intimidate the opposition
with that psychological game.
But his other just a physical game is outstanding.
Breaking down teams down off the dribble, kicking it out
as a distributor.
Michigan is going to have to be stopping
when I think from outside this game,
because Louisville can outright shoot the rock from distance
even without Michael Brown.
Conwell, the United States transfer
has been magnificent this year for him.
I think the Spartans, though, the Sparty party
will arrive in the interior.
Michigan State is one of the best rebounding teams.
And this entire NCAA tournament
field, so Jackson, Kohler, Cooper, those guys,
I think are going to be absolutely key.
And why green will indeed be the color of money?
I think Michigan State wins.
I think Michigan State covers.
Michigan State then, of course, marches on and tastes sweetness.
Spring is here and the shopping list is long.

It's Charles Barkley here with Wayfair.

Yeah, I think Michigan State gets the sweet 16 as well.
I have Sparty in the final four.
Sparty Party coming up, I think for Thomas Owen Company.
I love Michigan State to win and cover today against Louisville.
You better, you bet's count down to tip off.
Nick Costos, Brad Evans, Westwood One Sports,
breaking down all the games today in the big dance.
Brad, we move on.
Man, I'm excited for this game.
It feels like opinions are all over the map.
515 PM Eastern in the East region.
Duke coming off almost blowing it to the 16 seed Sienna
in the opening game.
The Blue Devils, 12 and a half point favorites
against the 9C Jamie Dixon and TCU, 138 and a half the total.
Noah Eagle, Lafonso Ellis with the call on Westwood One Sports.
Yeah, I like Duke in this game.
I think Duke has got to advance.
They could do so in convincing fashion.
It's all going to come down to whether or not TCU
can have an out-of-body experience like they did against Ohio State
and drilling some threes.
They had nine in that contest.
That's a team only shoots about 30% of their shots
from distance on the season.
TCU's got the bigs to hang with Edmonds and Punch,
a butt of Ingaangwa who's indeed back.
Ingaangwa plays, like Rob Dawson said,
in the interview in the last segment, 10 to 15 minutes.
I think Duke will asphyxiate.
Ooh, that's a fancy word.
They're going to apply the stranglehold defensively.
I like the under in the game.
I think it's going to be rock and sack and robots.
Duke wins.
They may not cover, but this game
is going to be comfortably in the low 60s
and the blue doubles, March on.
Yeah, I said this on yesterday.
On you better, you bet after Duke almost blew it
against Sienna in the opening rounds.
My sense is, and I can be wrong about this,
but my sense is that Duke is not going
to overlook another opponent.
Malik Brown said it at halftime with Tracy Wolfson.
They thought it was going to be a cake walk with Sienna.
If John Shire has half a brain,
and I'm reasonably sure he does,
but some pretty smart guy,
he's going to have this team ready to go today.
I think Duke takes care of business against TCU.
610 PM Eastern today, South region,
the two seed Houston Cougars,
a 10 and a half point favorite against Bucky Ball.
Texas A&M, the 10 seed in the South,
after beating St. Mary's, 141 and a half the total,
Ted M. Rich, Casey Jacobs, and Brad
with the call on Westwood one.
Yeah, I think Texas A&M is going to keep this close
because that's how Houston plays against
formal competition.
A Bucky Ball, you know what they're going to do?
They're going to try to blitz you,
a really speed up Houston,
get them out of their half court sets,
because when that defense sets,
they just punch you in the mouth repeatedly.
Houston, what version of the offense are we going to see?
Kingston Flimmings is a ball in shot collar,
going to be a top 10 pick in the NBA draft,
but they have had prolonged offensive outages
for a different stance throughout the entire season,
still a formidable defensive team.
I think A&M hangs tough,
they score the cover, Houston wins,
give me the Cougars by eight,
and I think the overhits as well in this game,
it's going to be a little faster pace
in some people's suspect.
I think A&M might keep this game pretty interesting, Brad.
I know that you think A&M is going to cover I do as well.
How shocked would you be,
but 15 seconds here,
if A&M pulled the outright upset
and since Houston home early?
One to 10 with 10 being bat leaping crazy,
I think it would be like a four, honestly.
And shock me all that much.
All right, I don't disagree with that.
I think this game might be a little closer
than the market expects with Texas A&M in the way they like to play
if they can get into a track meet,
a variance goes their way.
When if we ever seen Houston struggle to score in a big spot?
Oh, that's right.
Every March and sometimes we get it in April
and sometimes in the national championship game
like we saw last year against Florida.
Our one done here, count down to tip off
on Round of 32 Saturday.
Our two for you coming up on the other side.
In our number two, Brad and I will break down
the rest of today's games.
Gonzaga, Texas, Illinois, VCU,
Vandy, Nebraska, Arkansas high point.
We will hit every game coming up tomorrow on Sunday
and we'll ramp the show with all our bets for the weekend.
But we will start our number two right after this
with friend of the show, Mike DeCorsi,
live from South Carolina here on Westwood One Sports,
presented by Bette MGM.
