While not especially popular in the traditional desktop setting, the Kinect is finding remarkable traction in retail and commercial spaces, as interactive signage and for connecting with customers. Tim talks about battling the creepiness factor - the ability of tools like Kinect to figure out who you are and what you're doing can be rather disconcerting. The challenge is in using the capability well to make retail transactions faster and more enjoyable.
