With every excuse in the book to lose this game — March struggles. Injuries. Other teams heating up — The Red Wings stepped up and gutted out a 3-1 win over the Canadiens. Alex Debrincat had his 2nd straight 3-point night and John Gibson won't slow up. The other teams in the division won't slow down either, as the Red Wings have another huge one vs Boston. #LGRW

Oh my God, the Red Wings in a game
in which it felt like the narrative
and the story was written by years past.
They defied expectations and had a gotty three to one win
against an individual rival in the Montreal,
Canadian's to get a huge two March points
in the thick of the probably the tightest playoff race
I've seen in my life.
So we're going to talk about all of that on this episode
before we can get to that though.
Gotta talk to you guys today's episode is brought to you
at Game Time, download the Game Time app,
Create an Account, and use code locked on for $20 off
at your first purchase.
Scotty Red Wings win three to one goal scored by JT Comfort,
Alex to bring it and an empty net goal by Andrew Copp
who returned early from injury,
which is honestly looked pretty good in it.
So there's a little bit of worry about the, you know,
how ready he truly was looked pretty good.
Before I go off on a thousand different tangents
because my brain is still just a mass of just anecdotes
and thoughts on the game.
Well, I'm throwing to you.
What's your what was your first reaction
and your overall thoughts on this hockey game?
All my first reaction was screaming
and probably getting a noise complained by my landlord.
I don't know, man, that that was a.
Obviously was needed just from the like playoff race perspective
which you've already touched on.
I'm sure we'll touch on again many times
throughout this episode.
But to get that win, Copp's first game back,
Larkin still hurt.
Like you still have these things stacked against you.
Montreal's had a very good season up to this point
and is a very potent offense.
And I think that that is to me the biggest thing
that sticks out in this game.
Not only did the Wings win,
they held one of the best offenses in all of hockey
that was not like short on shot attempts in this game
to one goal.
And that is, I mean, nothing short of just unbelievably impressive.
Obviously Gibson plays a big part in that.
But I thought the defense was good in this game too.
And certainly he had to make some some crazy saves
and what not as, you know, we've become accustomed to
in the with Gibson sense, whatever, you know,
the beginning of November or the end of November,
whatever it is.
But I think that it's also a testament just to again,
the continued buy-in from the four words in a big way.
I thought Falk played a pretty solid game.
He had a couple of nice like pokes in the defensive zone
that broke up high danger opportunities.
Oh, he was very good in this hockey game.
Very good.
Yeah, yeah, I completely agree.
I thought that Cain and to bring it continue
to kind of fire on all cylinders on both sides of the ice,
which I'm not sure I ever thought I would say going
into this season.
But it rained true in this one, man.
I thought Cain was throwing the body around.
Had a couple of hits in this game to bring it.
Obviously had, I mean, that was more of a like a giveaway
than a force turnover.
But like, you know, on the game winning goal,
the go ahead goal, obviously an aggressive 4 check leads
to that, like there's just there's there was a lot to like
in this game from a team defense.
And obviously again, goal-tending perspective to hold
one of the most high powered and potent offenses
in all of hockey to just a goal.
Yeah, I mean, I think you you said it very early there.
But the biggest thing that stands out to me is the buy-in,
right?
We talked a lot about it, like with Larkin out,
this team as a whole is going to have to sell out for defense.
Everyone on this team is going to have to play a two-way game.
And it's most noticeable noticeable with guys like Patrick Cain
who rushed back to deny I wouldn't even break up the two on one,
but he nullified it by making it a two on two.
And it was a shorthanded situation or a power play situation too.
Like the hustle from everybody, including a 37 year old,
not known from his defense.
I think it reverberates through the lineup.
And he's far from the only one like everyone's doing it.
But I think when you see someone like that do that,
it's like, okay, well, we have no excuse now.
So it was just a wholeheartedly buy-in.
I was in a perfect game.
There was a huge chunk of the second period where the Red Wings
were stuck in the in their defensive zone.
And the Habs offense was coming to life just cycling the puck
and the Red Wings and they did get the opportunity
to long the half wall could not get the puck out.
But there are also huge stretches where the Red Wings
weren't letting anything generate for the Canadian's.
And we're getting some opportunities themselves,
despite being missing their best forward, their best center.
So I loved this gutty.
Gotta have it win by the Detroit Red Wings
in the month of March.
I kind of set it there at the start of the episode,
but like you look, so already there's the stigma
with the month of March, right?
Given the last two, three seasons, how it's played out.
Then right at the trade deadline, you lose Dylan Larkin.
Two games later, you lose Andrew Cobb.
You lose Michael Rasmussen, Michael Brands,
Zeg Negard, however you feel about those players to the side.
They're injuries that hurt the depth call cause you to call up
more guys that you would prefer to have in the age of everything
was stacked against the Red Wings going into this four game
stretch with all the games in the out of town scoreboard continually.
And they did again in this one going against the Red Wings.
It felt like this was on a tee to be another one of those let down.
Here is that March loss.
The Red Wings just can't gut it out and get it.
And they proved us wrong.
Now, before we're enjoying this,
it's going to be a positive episode.
We're having fun.
But I want to point out Mr. Negative here.
This is the biggest win of the season until the next game
because the standings are so tight that's not like this win
guarantees them a playoff spot.
They got to keep it going.
But I don't think that's I don't think that's negative,
especially we have a sense of like, oh, we're not going to have
another episode until that game is played.
So like we have to talk about it, like, you know what I mean?
But I don't think that's negative.
That's the we talked about that earlier this week, right?
Like that's the stretch you're on.
It's these four games are at once,
once puck drop happens for all four of these games.
They are now the biggest game you've played so far.
And they're the most important game in the season up to this point.
Like that's just, you know, it is what it is.
That's that's March hockey and especially with how tight the the standings are.
Yeah, and it's just roll with the how tight the standings are is the most
important point.
Like there's no breathing room, right?
You won tonight, but so did everybody else.
Yeah.
So you gained ground on the Montreal, Canadians.
That's it because Columbus one, the Ottawa Senators one, the Boston Bruins one,
all in regulation.
So this is a huge win.
We're going to enjoy it tonight because we record post game recaps.
But it's the biggest game of the season until the next one.
And then the one after that, it's playoff hockey from here on out,
and this is a huge win to get things started.
And it's something to build off of like if they can build off of this with my
our Boston coming into town on Saturday, that'd be massive.
And hey, another boost coming Dylan Larkin skated at a not cleared for contact.
I want to be clear.
But he skated.
It looks good from the short snippets we saw.
That's that is a morale boost in it of itself.
Yeah, I'm sure it is.
And I mean, I think it also a win like this.
And this doesn't like the guys in the locker room.
Don't care about this and shouldn't care about this.
But I also think a win like this, you know,
kind of puts the fan base and the organization.
Not at ease because you're right in the thick of this.
But like shows that it's possible like it's like, okay, like we're out,
you know, X amount of players, you know, cop comes back in this game.
Like you're getting some players back and it's getting more to being like
just Larkin, but like just your captain is not nothing.
So I think that it's just, you know, like, hey, can.
But will we even be able to make it through this strategy?
Katie Comper as the one C and Andrew cop as the the two were in this case,
the three C as he was tonight.
Like is that even a sustainable way for the wings to win games?
And I think that at a minimum, a game like this proves that they can keep
their heads above water until Larkin comes back.
If I had a nickel for every time the Detroit Red Wings won a must win game
against the Montreal Canadians late in the season, I'd have three nickels,
which isn't a lot, but it's weird.
It happened three times, yeah, Scotty.
We're going to do a break when we return.
We'll talk about different smakers in this hockey game.

I feel when we have a conversation about who the key difference makers were in
this game or an occasion what the key difference maker was.
I feel like there's two very obvious candidates.
I'll throw it to you first.
Who was your difference maker in the soccer game?
Well, I'll take cat then I think that I agree with you.
There are two clear and obvious kind of answers here.
I I am just so impressed with Alex to bring it.
I the season that he has had it has been remarkable.
And he needs to put together performances like this and like we've seen
in the last couple of games for the red wings to keep their heads above water.
Right? Like we kind of said it earlier this week if they want to get through
this their best players need to be their best players and and he certainly
is that and has lived up to that over these last two or three games.
So yeah, I obviously he had the go ahead goal which was fantastic.
Great finish, you know, cuff the puck coughed up rather kind of right on
his his stick and he's able to bury it for a go ahead goal late.
But I again, I think not to be I don't know, outshined is the impact
that he has in the neutral zone and on the forecheck.
Like it's just something that I I when the wings acquired to bring it,
I never would have expected that we'd be talking about like yeah,
his defense was such a difference maker in this game.
This was JT Comfort Alex to bring get Patrick Kane against one of the
highest scoring lines in hockey and they did really well.
Like that is that is astonishing.
Like that is that is so astonishing to say out loud.
And I again, all the credit in the world, the cane or two,
but I think to bring it was was kind of I don't know like borderline
the best player on the ice in this game.
Yeah, well, three points.
They're only scored three goals.
It's his second consecutive three point night as well.
He's got one goal and five assists in his last two games.
It's hard to argue against the results, right?
And even when you'd look away from the fact that he scored the eventual game winner,
I had a very selfless pass Andrew cop for a lot to allow him score the empty net goal.
The secondary assist he had on JT Comfort's, you know, his off the puck stuff,
as you mentioned, was really good.
He threw three hits in this hockey game and had two takeaways.
A guy who's doing it all for the Detroit Red Wings right now and has been
one of their best players all season long is when the Red Wings needed it
in most, he didn't vanish.
He stepped up to the plate and he's been phenomenal in this in this short stretch
here where they've gotten off this snide and they needed him to.
And again, you pointed out he's not the only one we talked yet.
The title of the last episode was vintage cane when to bring it at three
primary assists, two of those assists were on Patrick Kane goals.
So JT Comfort got to keep the one C role with Andrew cop returning.
And there's probably two parts that right like easing cop back in as he's probably
not a hundred percent, but also Comfort's done a good job.
And we we said it was a maker break stretch for Mac, Michael,
we're asking using a JT Comfort in their careers as Red Wings.
Now Michael, we're asking that hurt.
That's no fault of his own.
So I can't put blame on and blame on him blame on him there regarding the injury.
Now the 22 games prior to that where he didn't get a single point.
That's a different conversation.
But JT Comfort like we talked about it.
One of the biggest cardio merchants on the team leading up to that point.
One of the just jerseys.
I'm sure that McClellan was talking about and he steps up.
And now he had a goal deflected one off the post hit the cross bar and got another
goal.
And this one went off as bought nicely.
I'm going to say Kane did that intentionally with the shot place.
You go to the night.
I go tonight.
We'll take it, baby.
But like he went to the net.
And that's one thing the Red Wings have struggled with is getting in front of the eyes
of Dolby.
If your name isn't JVR.
You apparently just don't go in front of the net.
So it's nice to see that change a little bit.
I mean, semantics.
He was off to the side of the net, but still like he was fighting for net for positive.
So we go to the net and good things happen.
And like their line dominated like all the other forward lines.
Even though there are elements like defensively, I thought they played well.
They're the heart was there.
That forward lines the only one that metricly did anything.
They had a 60 plus shot attempt share and a 65% expected goal rate.
And this is a first line with 37 year old Patrick Kane and JT Confer who's been
one of the most highly scrutinized centers on the Red Wings.
Again, who's never been known for defense or neutral zone playing his entire career.
I think that that's changed.
I think he's been with the Red Wings along enough.
I agree with you.
I agree.
I agree with you.
I'm just saying like you you zoom out.
Like you say that sentence, you know, a year and a half ago.
And it's it's it's preposterous.
So right.
I think locally, we all know how good he's been defensively now.
But nationally, for sure, it's like people look at his size and think he does one thing.
And he I mean, you he's not afraid to throw hands.
I thought he was going to get into a fight in this.
Yeah, he's going to do a fight.
He was a little scrumpt in this one.
He thought was it a yo see a couple of years ago?
I still have pictures on my phone of that point.
He's a dog.
Man, he's a dog.
So, um, yeah, that top line and Alex to bring get primarily one huge difference maker.
I don't you don't win the hockey game without them stepping up to the plate and being as good as they are.
Second one, obviously, got to be John Gibson in that.
I mean, what what a dog.
And he had a couple of games where he led in an easy as somewhat soft goal in both of those.
But even in those games, like, you know, he's he's human.
He's going to give up those eventually outside of that.
He had really good games.
And then this game and the game gets Calgary right back to being a dog.
969 save percentage 31 saves on 32 shots against for an expected goal.
Save the ball of expected of 2.27 in this hockey game.
Uh, he was he was on fire.
I thought he was going to get into a fight at one point in this.
Don't be too.
Oh, don't wish one after all.
He's been doing that all season, too.
That's not like a new thing.
If you you're not getting to that kitchen, baby, you're going to you're going to catch a a face full of of glove.
That is for sure.
But your goal is got to have a screw loose.
If you want to be good, he's got to be sure all the great.
No, he's he's yeah, I mean, this is phenomenal.
And like again, I know we've kind of like beat this horse to death.
But like if the wings are going to maintain this level of play in Larkin's absence and just kind of in general,
they're going to need him to be on his head.
And there's a reason why, you know, we were talking about earlier this week when we previewed Calgary.
Like, oh, maybe you could tell, but a starter.
Oh, maybe like, no, it's Gibson night in and night out because you need every single one of these games.
And it's performances like this that kind of, you know, reiterate why that is.
And the thing is like Talbot's and Talbot's been fine as a backup.
Like, yeah, he's just not when do you when do you get him in, especially in the stretch?
He's like Gibson.
If the season had tomorrow Gibson would get like Vezna votes.
He wouldn't get winning the like first place votes, but he'd get down ballot.
He might get first place votes.
I'm I'm down like speaking of Talbot's next start, assuming health for John Gibson.
Probably going to be Saturday, the 28th against Philadelphia, because that's the second half of a back to back.
Yeah, back to back will be when he's used for sure.
That's the first of three games.
By the way, that the Red Wings are going to start in the season.
It is.
It's and the Red Wings are going to start and finish their season series against Philadelphia on between March 28th and April 9th.
They haven't played a game against the flyers.
They've three.
But here's a statistic for you, Scotty, that I was looking up earlier in the episode.
So I want to know where John Gibson ranked and saved percentage since he got hot at the start of December.
So since December 1st, John Gibson is the best save percentage in the NHL at 923.
The best.
I mean, I understand the first month and a half for Gibby was was rough.
So it's overall save percentage is still a little low.
But if this team makes the playoffs, I mean, it's going to be because John Gibson, right?
Like obviously there's going to be clutch goals and more.
It's side has been an absolute dog should be getting Norris votes, but like no one player is more imperative
to your team making the playoffs than your golden.
I mean, look at the senators.
For example, the senators actually are a really good hockey team.
Well, you could look at the opponent tonight, even.
Montreal is another good example.
A team that actually has pretty like has struggled goal betting this season.
If you have good goal telling you can go places, even if your team's not perfect.
And we know this team's far from perfect.
Right.
Second on that list, though, Scotty, I'm going to give you one guess because we're running.
We got to go to another break.
Who do you think has the second best save percentage in the NHL sense?
So I think I actually know who it is.
So this might be is it Alex Lyon?
It is Alex.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
I know that he's been crazy for for Buffalo for sure.
It goes.
John Gibson with a 923 Alex Lyon with a 922.
Elias Sirokin with a 921 and Joel Hofer with 920.
Now big asterix here.
Alex Lyon's 922 save percentages in 19 games played.
John Gibson's is in 34 so a big difference.
That's crazy.
That's crazy to be higher with 15 more games played as Nazi.
I mean, I'm trying to look like in terms of games played.
The next goalie who's played as many games as John Gibson in that stretch.
Is is Velmek Velmeca.
Carell Veg, they just called Veggie in Utah and he's got a 901 save percentage.
So which is like not bad, but not he's the number one goalie since December 1st with the most games played.
That's crazy.
It's crazy.
We had go to another break when we returned Scotty will talk about any other players from this game.
We thought looks good to us and then a quick preview of the Boston Bruins because they play on Saturday.
Stay tuned to segment three of Lockdown Red Wings.
There's nothing like being in an NBA arena, the crowd, the energy, the moment, the moment,
getting tickets, though, that part hasn't always been so simple.
That's why game time has become the go to app for scoring tickets fast without the hassle.
It puts the advantage back where it belongs with the fans.
And guys, this is a product I actually, I truly, truly, truly believe in.
I've used the game time app on multiple occasions to get tickets to the federal of night,
stadium series, Lincoln Bark concert, favorite band of all time.
They, they rock.
The reason I love them is because game time shows you the price up front without any hidden fees.
That other applications may try to sneak in at the end.
They, when you look at the seat views, when you look at the panoramic view of the, of the stadium view of all the seats available,
the price it shows is the price that you get, you get to see the seat, the view from the seat before you buy as well.
And with zone deals, you pick the section and it picks the best value seats for each section.
So check out game time.
It's quick. It's intuitive. It's stress free.
Take the guesswork out of buying NBA tickets with game time, download the game time app, create an account and use code locked

All right, Scottie, we've talked a lot about our how pumped up we are with the result of this hockey game.
We've talked a lot about to bring it in the top line and John Gibson, but they're not the only ones you played in this hockey game.
And I don't think the only ones who had an impact who else you want to shout out in this one.
Well, cider. I think yeah.
It's remarkable.
And again, like we talk about the impact that some of these guys had to he was he was out of his mind.
I mean, genuinely, this was I truly think one of his better performances of the season just in terms of again, like caliber of opponent and quality of like offense that he was on the ice against for almost the entire game.
I thought he was a big reason why, you know, they were able to keep them at bay.
Yeah, he was, I mean, what more can you say you said something that made me chuckle.
You're like, it might be one of his better game in the season. I feel like we come on here almost every night and like that might be one of his better games of the season.
I hope we're great to go and you mentioned that earlier as well.
No, and well, you mentioned it and then I doubled down and said he was great.
I was just trying to give you credit, dude.
Well, I mean, don't give me credit where you deserve it.
You deserve a lot of credit.
Justin Falk was great in this hockey game.
Honestly, I think he piled out Ben Sharat several different occasions.
Sure.
Couple bad pinches by Sharat.
A couple of times he was the penalty, by the way.
Oh, geez.
Okay, I'm glad they won this game.
So I don't really have to focus too much on that.
So the non call on the Canadian's was the right call.
Absolutely hit, whomever it was into Gibson, but that was not a rough.
That's not finished his check.
It's not, dude, that's finishing and they were like that.
There's no rule that that like the, you know, two second rule like that doesn't.
Like there's nothing that leads to to that.
I genuinely think they just looked at, you know, like the play and then the big,
you know, scrum after and we're just like, we have to call something here and just decided to.
I really hated that penalty and I'm like, you said I'm glad the wings had it up winning.
Well, and then there was a situation later on in the hockey game where cider got a coincidental minor.
That's fine, whatever, but like it all started because Raymond got punched in the back of the head,
skating through the crease, like punched in the back of the head and they didn't call that.
I'm like, I started the whole thing.
The whole scrum starts because of that.
Yeah, but I digress.
Rubbing's got two power plays out out of this game.
So did Montreal, Montreal scored the Red Wings didn't powerfully continues to struggle,
but we're not here to belabor that point at this moment.
We're here to celebrate a big win and a big, big time of the season for the Detroit Red Wings.
Justin Falk, I agree.
Again, he bailed out Sherrod and a couple of bad pitches or situations where Sherrod chased the hit.
And he was great.
I also think I just want to shout out both Casper and Finney as well.
Finney.
I thought Finney had a great game.
I agree.
Oh, okay, back to me.
Yeah, no, I thought he had a great game.
No, it's and we've talked about it all year.
Like, you know, the the motor that he has obviously is is a big like calling card for him
in a big reason why he finds success at this level.
But man, I and I don't know how much of it is like him and Casper
are just kind of firing on all cylinders when they're out there together.
But it, you know, if it ain't broke, right?
Like just keep him, keep him out there.
I really thought that again, when we talk about forwards that were buying into the defensive mindset in this game,
I thought Finney was, I mean, borderline at the top of that list.
He was really going into corners like crazy.
He had several board battles in this game, especially in the second and third period.
I thought he was really good.
And it's not for nothing, either, that like with Andrew Cop coming back sooner than expected.
Emmett Finney stayed at 2C.
Right.
They bumped Marco Casper to the wing.
Yeah, great point.
Like and get, you know what, Scotty, you'll love this.
He's the only red wing center in the soccer game who had a face off,
a winning face off percentage.
He went eight and five in the face off circle for 61%.
Everyone else was below 50.
Well, Marco Casper had one face off and won it, but, you know, want to know.
So his motor, like you said, the two way game was fantastic.
He plays such good defense and Marco Casper in a winger roll.
I thought was great too.
Scotty, he had eight hits in this hockey game.
He was flying around and throwing the body like crazy.
And to be fair, the all of the red wings were afraid to be physical in this hockey game.
They were finishing their checks and Casper's motor man.
If he can figure out how to finish, then if he even is a half a point of game player,
he is going to be very valuable to this team for years to come because of everything else he does on the ice.
And then finally, we've kind of touched upon it here and there mentioned it a couple of times.
But how do you feel about Andrew Cops game?
Yeah, it was, it was fine.
I think there's definitely a little bit of like
easing him back into it.
And I think you can tell that he's probably not like 100%.
But I also think at this point in the NHL season, there are very few players in the entire league
that are 100%.
So you got to go with the hand that's dealt to you.
But yeah, I thought that he was a positive asset.
I thought that you could tell that the team was better with him in the game.
But he was relatively limited from what he was providing the team before the injury, certainly.
So you know, you say I want to believe that they put him on the third line center,
just kind of ease him back in.
And I genuinely think though that it's more about the chemistry that Comfort and Phinea have developed on those top two lines.
I probably not wanted to mess it up.
I think both things are probably true in that regard.
Yeah, because Andrew cop played a minute 25 on the power play and nobody on the team played more penalty kill time
than Andrew cop in this game at a minute 20.
So if you're trying to ease a guy who's hurt back in, maybe don't put him out there in a role where you have to block a lot of shots.
It's pretty fair, yeah.
I don't think he had one block shot in the hockey game.
But the only reason he played more PK time than more outsiders because I'm a cider was in the box twice.
So, but it is it is funny to know it's like I want to like you want to immediately assume they're easing him back in and then you look at it.
I can I like I said, I think both things are are are probably I think it's the same time.
Absolutely is a factor. I have two anecdotes for you real quick Scotty.
The first one is I don't remember if I said it on the episode or if I just said it before you recorded.
The this is the first time all season the Canadians have lost a game in which they had a 900 plus safe percentage in regulation.
I should add first game they've lost in regulation in which they had a safe percentage over 900.
Then like the senators have been pretty good all year, but have their biggest kryptonite's been goal tending right and when they're goal tending shows up.
They win games. They're goal tending showed up in this game.
They didn't get the win. That's not for nothing.
No, it's not absolutely not.
The second anecdotes less fun kind of hilarious though, but less fun.
The red wings are currently in a three way tie for third in the Atlantic division.
First wild card and second wild card as all of the Canadians red wings and Bruins have 84 points.
They're two points back of the lightning.
So even though they're one point up on the islanders for the final wild card spot, so one point above the playoff line.
They're also two points back of second in the division.
This is a stupid conference.
Yeah, I hate everything.
And then expanding it further we did the math before the game Scotty.
Why don't you tell the people how many teams in the top 13 in the league are in the Eastern conference.
I believe you told me that it was 10.
Yes, 10 of the top 13 teams in the league are all in the East.
The only teams that are in the top 13 in the West are Colorado and Dallas who lead are number one and two in the league.
And I mean, no wonder they're beating up on a terrible West apparently not to take anything away.
Those are great teams.
Red wings 101 and one and one and one against both of those teams.
I digress, but like it's this Eastern conference is absolutely nutty.
It's so stupid Scotty.
The red wings play the Boston Bruins on Saturday.
I don't know what what to preview with the people.
I don't know what to expect.
Like at this point, we're just kind of flying by the seat of our pants.
It's just like you're you're rolling up your every game.
You don't know who's healthy.
You don't know who's not and and you throw Gibson out there and hope for the best.
I think that's pretty much the game plan here.
I mean, looking at the games for this weekend, big matchups include
Washington hosting New Jersey to teams that are definitely more out than they are in at this point,
but still fighting for an opportunity.
Saturday, a lot of games, including Detroit hosting Boston.
You have Edmonton hosting Tampa Bay who's been not winning as much lately.
Ottawa hosting Toronto, the Canadian hosting the Islanders.
That's a big game.
Another one you don't want to go to over time.
So of course it will Columbus hosting the Kraken Buffalo in the in LA.
And then Sunday.
Let's see here.
You have the penguins hosting the hurricanes.
That's big because the Metro is also airtight as well.
The Islanders hosting the blue jackets.
So another one you cannot.
I mean, that's Metro three and the team outside the playoffs just barely facing one another.
Can't have that go to three points.
Tampa in Calgary Buffalo in Anaheim.
So I mean, in regards to playoff implications, there's a lot of games.
And of course there are because it's airtight.
So Scotty Redweens just got to get it done against Boston, right?
Biggest game of the year until the next one.
Correct.
Do you have any final thoughts?
We ball, baby.
We ball.
And this is a we're balling big time after this one.
We're I'm not going to say what I was going to say.
Yes, we are we are ballin' in a big way.
I phrase it the way I did because I knew how it would sound.
I'm sick.
I was like, oh, that's a bar.
And I was like, I'm not going to say that.
No, not.
We'll be back with a new episode on Sunday recap in the Bruins game.
Stay tuned for that.
