Bill O'Reilly here you are listening to the weekend edition of the O'Reilly update. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater. Thanks Bill. Here's what's happening this week in America. A deadlocked jury. Blow for Republicans. Fans says it's not a war and let the building continue. That's all coming up and then I will be here with your message of the day but first, a deadlocked jury after six days of deliberations in the Lindsey Clancy trial. Imagine that these deliberations behind the scenes an entire day again with no one budging. Each juror yesterday separately approached the bench to interact with the judge. According to Lindsey Clancy's lawyer last night, he said that the judge is expected to question a lone juror what is this morning. Clancy's lawyer accused that juror of disregarding the law during delivery. Reparations. According to one courtroom reporter, when the jury said they were deadlocked still,
quote, what ensued was a roughly 10 minute animated conversation between the judge and Lindsey Clancy's attorney. The two men leaned in toward one another, gestured wildly and exchange would appear to be tense words. The lawyer slammed his hand down on a stack of papers on the judge's bench. Later, he threw the papers onto the judge's bench and stalked back to the defense table. Lindsey's lawyer asked that that one juror be removed. If this is deemed a mistrial, then Clancy would return to the mental hospital in Massachusetts. She will continue to be held there. Now, and then the prosecution, the state has to figure out what they want to do next. Do they negotiate a plea deal? They could try the case again, maybe a separate location, not Massachusetts. If they decided to do a new trial, it could take a week. They could start or up to a year. In a blow to Republicans, the Missouri Supreme Court ruled that the state's redrawn congressional map cannot be used in this year's midterm elections. The court ruled that a referendum on whether the state can use the map going forward must
be included on the November ballot. Meaning Missouri's elections coming up here will be based off the previous district lines. The new map eliminated one of the two Democrat districts. Our vice president was asked about the Warren Iran. He said I wouldn't call it a war. Right now there's no active shooting. I recognize there are places where it is flared up major combat operations. But again, major combat operations lasted for about six weeks. And since then we destroyed their nuclear facilities with Minahama, with Epic Fury, which destroyed their defense industrial base for producing weapons and also a lot of their conventional military. And then we made it harder for them to rebuild that nuclear program. Coming after a Supreme Court victory about the new White House ballroom, the interior secretary Doug Bergham said excavation work for the construction of the 250 foot triumphant arch will begin over the next two weeks. And Mike Slater from politics by faith, filling in for the great bill of Riley that message to the day. Next. Mike Slater, filling in for Bill O'Reilly now, it's time for the Riley update message
of the day. Abdul Rahman, Muhammad al-Saheed is running for Senate and Michigan is the Democratic candidate. Things keep coming out about this guy and hasn't tanked him yet. I don't know what will. A couple of weeks ago a video came out of him saying he hates Mackinow Island. Mackinow Island is this beautiful island way, way up Northern Michigan. It's one of the most beautiful Americana towns in the entire country. It's quintessential America. There's no cars allowed. Only horses. It's pristine and wonderful and historic and an incredible place to be. The governor of Michigan has a summer home there. And he said if he wins, he'll have to be there and he hates it. You can't hate Mackinow Island. It's like being from Tennessee and saying you hate Dolly Parton or you're running for office in Texas and you hate the Alamo. One would imagine if you are a foreigner. Now he's born in Troy, but he proudly presents us a foreigner.
You would think you would go out of your way to drape yourself in the red, white and blue. You'd be like Toby Keith walking around. You'd be quote and country boy can't survive every other speech. You'd be wearing a team USA jersey at a World Cup game which Zoran did not do. By the way, but okay. So it's later you're making a mountain out of a mole. Okay, okay. Then he comes out and he's on this lefty podcast and he said you know when you go to a wedding back home, it's this big bright party back home. Where? To Troy? No, he's talking about Egypt. I call that a tell. You know, I'm poker when someone gets dealt a good hand. Maybe they get a little smile on their face at the tell. That right there, that line from Abdul Rahman, that's a tell that he doesn't consider himself an American. This is a friend of mine who was born in Brazil and he talked about just the other day he told me about going back to his hometown.
He didn't say I'm going back home. So I'm going to my hometown because America is my friend's home. But apparently it's not Abdul Rahman's home. Now this is the latest. We have a tweet. He sent on September 11th, 2021. He said today I'm more than 3000 lives, 6000 injuries and infrastructural devastation in New York City perpetuated ignorantly in the name of my faith. Tomorrow I'll mourn around a million lives, millions of injuries and infrastructural devastation in three countries perpetuated ignorantly in the name of my country. So we have this Muslim guy running for US Senate Michigan talking about 9, 11, saying, sure, it was bad. It wasn't, it wasn't great. But it's nothing compared to what my country has done to my real people in the Middle East. For all these years, notice the only time Abdul Rahman, Muhammad al-Sahid ever mentions my country is when he's here to bash it. When he's talking about weddings and delicious food, well, Egypt is back home.
But when it's America's the great Satan, well, then it's my country is so terrible and evil. In related news, did you see the CBC, this is the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, their senior director of journalistic standards. He sent a memo to all the CBC staff saying don't refer to 9, 11 as a terrorist attack. Refer to it instead as a hijacking and a jet crash. That Canadian man, his name is Basim Bolshra from Egypt. Maybe he and al-Sahid can go back home together. Hopefully you might not know. Next. Mike Slider, Phil, and for Bill O'Reilly, now it's time for something you might not know. Huge Trump win here. He had 9 pharmaceutical company leaders in the Oval Office the other day. All of them committed to lowering drug prices for you. This is a part of Trump's most favored nation pricing. So this says that we in the United States, you, both of us, will have the lowest price
of any of these drugs in the whole world. No country in the world will have a lower price than we do. So if a drug is normally $1,000 in America, but it's $10 in France, it's now $10 in America to or $50 in America and France may go up over there in order to make up the difference. But that's fine. It's cheaper than 1,000. The White House says that $700 million has been saved by the American people through Trump RX. That's the website you can go on and look for different prescriptions near you and what the most favored nation price is. This has to be a central point of the midterm convention coming up starting next Wednesday. There's a third in France. This needs to be a major part of it. The success of lowering the price of drugs, the council of economic advisors says that Trump's most favored nation deals with pharmaceuticals would save the American consumer $600 billion over the next decade. Also these nine companies the other day committed to $20 billion in U.S.
manufacturing. But here's the interesting thing that I didn't know about. You know, we have the strategic oil reserves. Trump also started the strategic active pharmaceutical ingredient reserve. We learned during COVID that most of the ingredients that we need to make are medicine is from overseas mostly from China and India. Precursor chemicals made in China to make our medicine is crazy. So just like the strategic petroleum reserves, we now have a six month supply of all these pharmaceutical ingredients at all times. For instance, this company, Tiva pharmaceuticals, they're contributing 45 metric tons of metro nine dozele an antibiotic and anti protozoal used to treat bacteria and parasitic infections and 4.8 tons of am low dub fiend and anti hypertensive drug, whatever. They sound important. And you can see Trump getting the pharmaceutical company exactly this around.
Hey guys, what are you doing for us? What are you going to do that finally puts America first? I'm Mike Slater, more coming up. That is the weekend edition of the O'Reilly update for more news and honest analysis. Please go to billorily.com.
