This week, President Biden ratcheted up the partisanship around Bitcoin when he tweeted that Republicans were trying to protect tax loopholes for wealthy crypto investors. Congressman Brad Sherman has been all over TV saying that the industry is just for tax evaders and criminals. Elizabeth Warren is making opposition to crypto a central pillar of her campaign.   Yet as much as the partisan bickering tries to capture Bitcoin, some progressive voices are pushing back.
