Well up, down, you go up, all back down, Incustin' me up, the gates of hell, all back down, you go up, stand my ground, you'll all be a twerker, and I can't this world I'm dragging me down, I'm gonna stand my crack. Money, big moves, big boroughs, big suits, big big corn, big poops, big logo, big, He is a gentleman.
For those who are evil-fights, he suggests you turn away now to pose of evil. He seems to take it. He's a... ...crump to the bad house. Drinks! Drinks! Drinks, Drinks! Drinks! Come on! Come on! Come on here. Drinks! Okay, listen up, don't squeeze.
Big, big, big, big money, big moves, big boroughs, big suits, big, big corn, big poops, big logos, big moves, big spots, big checks, big jets, big flex, whole roll stand up, when big stuff is working. This world, I'm dragging me down, I'm gonna stand back, and I'm gonna roll back down. I do, you don't need to say anything. Yeah, I definitely.
Hi Lauren. Terrence, what's going on? We lost you yesterday, you fell off the radar. I did, I was driving through the coastal range, and there's not very good cell service in there, so. Well, that's why we always have two co-hosts, Tiffany and Staten's. Two co-hosts? Yeah, she had the soundboard, she did the soundboard without a soundboard, it was pretty impressive. She did a great job, Tiffany, great job. We didn't have, we didn't have Lindy in here though, I see Lindy here. Oh, good morning, I think I'm gonna have to drop down. Why? No. My volume isn't that stop. Nope, well you sound fine. Yep, we don't care if you can hear us, we hear you so that's all the matter. I have no control, you're super loud, I can't expect you down. Well, that sounds like you were. It's a whisper day, we have to whisper. You better reset your bitkey, Lindy, that's probably the problem. Exactly, maybe so, maybe so. Yeah, cold card. Are you having fun with your bitkey? I like to play with it from time to time. Oh, I'm asking about the bitkey. Oh dear, okay. Oh dear.
Maybe Lindy, you should pitch your book real quick. Now that there's, wow, I guess there's only 30 people in here. Happy to pitch the book, yeah. I'm offering 25% off forever when people pay with... That's like one fourth off. What's that? That's like one fourth off. He's trying to be a mathematician, but he's failed. Yeah, I'm converting percentages to fractions. That was my favorite day. 25 and one quarter. Do math. Yeah. Anyway, sorry for the interruption. The rude Terrence interruption. Please proceed. So you wrote a children's book, correct? Yes, I have the Queen Children's book. Okay. It is a rhyming children's picture book. My most successful testimonial, like I'm doing, ad-click testing on meta, which sucks, but it is from a 64-year-old woman who said, I'm a 64-year-old kid who needed this understanding of Bitcoin.
So it's not just for kids. There's a glossary in the back. Because when I wrote it, I was just coming off the heels of doing a deep dive myself. And I didn't know what flood was. Among other things. So I feel like it's a super fun book. My illustrator knocked it out of the park. Lots of really literal illustrations. In a really lots of negative space style. So it's easy on the eyes, but fun bright colors. An excellent gift. It's like top quality hardback, and I'd like to buy it with a book jacket. So Lindy McGee. Hey, Lindy, the context also is you've gone through some extreme excruciating pain and stuff personally. I know you've shared it different times on different spaces so it's public knowledge or I wouldn't say it. But did you want to touch on that as well? It sounds like the response is not a good time.
No, sorry. But yeah, now the context of this whole thing is also incredible. Lindy is a strong, wonderful human being that persevered through some difficult times personally and came out actually giving back to the world. So kudos to you, Lindy, tip of the cap. Oh, she's having technical difficulties as well. I don't see kudos here. Yeah, no, he's not here yet. So Seth is here though. What's going on, Seth? Always here. What's going on? Are you always here? I on board an event or today. Got him set up a show to use Bitcoin. Yeah. So I'm here in Thailand. I'm just I'm waiting for the for the sailors from the USS Abraham Lincoln. So wreak havoc. Oh dear. And in Thailand here. So yeah, I wasn't planning on being here while they pulled in. But when I saw that they were going to be arriving in a few days, I switched up my schedule because I just want to see the chaos that ensues.
Oh, yeah. We're getting there. These are the guys that have been out to see for 250 days or something. 250 days. Yeah. They got pockets full of money. And yeah, it's going to be absolute mayhem. So for those of my friends who have been in the military, especially if you guys have been in Navy, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Yeah. Good times. So I'm going to hook up with some of my marine buddies and that work at embassies in the area and we're going to, you know, glide on the town and have a good time. I'm too old for that. Terrence. Hey, Lindy's back. You're too old for Semper Fie? Oh, Lindy's back. Too old for going out and yeah, if I have one drink, I'm toast. I'm put me to bed, Grandpa. That's the opposite of you. You can have 17 drinks and not even. Well, that's our little secret. We'll just carry you around. We'll fight for you. We'll carry you around. Yeah.
Lindy, did you have some technical issues and drop there for a second? Yeah, I did because spaces hates me. Indeed. But I think I'm back. Can you hear me? Hey, Lindy, I have a quick question for you because you're one of the other few people that I know who, like myself, lives on a Bitcoin standard. What is your tech stack or what's your main go-tos that you use daily? What are your like-day drivers? I use strike bill pay to handle mortgage, Verizon, garbage bill, water bill, that sort of thing. Yeah, same, same. I'm beating on Jack to offer a debit card because right now I'm using Coinbase and I hate it. I just move over what I need for groceries and fuel every month. So you're using the Coinbase debit card and you move over your Bitcoin.
You just manually load up your card when you need to. I do. Yeah, once a month. I don't know what I'm going to need and I use that for fuel and groceries. Copy that. So, yeah, that's what I do. So you use the one that has the inscription from the first, from the Genesis block, block zero. It has the chancellor on break. It's that really cool black card with the debit card because my story is my husband passed away a couple years ago and he handled everything financially. So I have shit for credit because you're punished for not using it. So I have no credit. I have no like income. And so I, a credit card is just not in the books for me. I mean, I could work on building my credit. I'm just not super interested in doing it because what I'm doing is working. So I have to. Is it an interesting that the credit system in the fiat world that we need like to get a house and to, and to be able to use credit?
I mean, it makes sense, but it's, it's a measure of, of you using more and more of that debt and that if you don't have any debt, you basically have no credit. Yes. Yeah. So you're incentivized to do what the fiat system really does and that's to spend and, and focus on being a consumer. Yeah. And it's been a struggle like even when Chuck was still here, we did Dave Ramsey like decades ago. And so we always lean toward debit cards and just had to figure out how to get around not having credit. It's rising beans. It's a pain, but better, I feel like. I don't like depending on Coinbase because I just don't like the platform. So hopefully Jack or River will come out with a similar light debit card for people like me. If you want, if you're not crazy about Coinbase, you can do similarly what you're doing in several other places and one being cash app, which is, it was just a great place to
do that. I assume you probably use that when you, when you find other square or block merchants as they are sort of proliferating everywhere these days. I've actually, but you can also just use that in general, just the cash app debit card operates the same way and you can just load it up on your app. I will totally get that done today. I didn't fold FOLD. Yeah, but I think fold is still a bit refill as well, isn't it? Say that's both. There's both. I didn't realize that. Okay. I thought it came out with debit first and then recently credit. Okay. You can also, and there's even some repaid cards with bit refill, which is another. Yeah, bit refill also more sovereign way to do freedom. Mia is a great non K I see. It's a visa card. It's a debit card. You can put whatever name you want on the card. You don't have to expose who you are at all and you can load it with Bitcoin and you can do up to 5,000 a month on that one. That's probably not enough for you because you seem like a high roller. But for most of us, 5,000 a month is good for our one hand bag.
Yeah. Yeah, that's not even one Birken bag. Bitcoin has brought out a frugality in me that never existed prior to learning about Bitcoin. So not a hot one. But Lindy, you're going to ruin the economy to just say, afford. I'm very, very good. You are just ruining the economy. You bit pointers will just say, if you do nothing and you're going to have all this wealth, unbelievable. Jeez. Not going to lubricate the economy. Whoa. Paula's here. It's going up. Yeah, there she is. She's right below your circle. Nope. She moved her circle moved. Brady Bunch. How are you, Paula? Good. Lauren, you're back. You were quite yesterday. Yeah, I was, I actually was camping on the coast of California for four days. So I was driving through the mountains and there was no reception. So I was gone. Yep. Whenever we want a solid high signal day, we just ask Lauren to leave. It was a wonderful day for all of us, apparently.
Touching grass. Love it. Mm-hmm. Hey, Paula, what, what are some of your latest podcasts? Is there any, any good ones coming up? Yeah, they're all a bit contentious. I don't, I don't, I'm enjoying it. Are you doing that on purpose or that's just what's on everyone's mind? I was brought with us up on purpose. It was, it was two weeks back. So it's just coming up now and it's still on everybody's mind. And the, my next one is with Jimmy Song. I don't know if you know him, but. Oh, yeah. No Bitcoin or has heard of him. Who is that? Exactly. Yeah. So he, he, he said retirement is just a waste of time. Find something you love and stop looking for the pinnacle orders, basically. But no, he was, he's an OG in the space and he is on board with, moving forward with Bitcoin.
So that was his take. He first orange pilled, he orange pilled, Corey Clipston from Swan, the CEO for you. Yeah, I didn't know that. Wow. Okay. Yeah, it's a pretty fun story. I'll let him tell it so I won't take the wind out of. Yeah, we'll have to get Jimmy up here. He's the Asian cowboy. Yes, he is out of that hat. Yeah, maybe related to that Lauren, it's worth, it's worth highlighting because I do believe it's important that there is what I believe to be a fake exchange. I can't find an address. I can't find jurisdiction. There's no legal headquarters. And there's nothing for this exchange. One of the pretending to sell Blake to be coins. Well, to be or not to be, if it is or isn't, I'm not positive, but you know, it sounds like it isn't. It's hard to tell if they're in India or where they, where they're based.
But yeah, they're free based. They're saying that they're the first exchange where you can send Bitcoin. They don't accept bank accounts or KYC or anything. You just have to connect your your Bitcoin or I think they take some stable coins where you can buy or sell the Blake to be coin. They're calling it. They've listed as BTC to BTB, TBD. Yeah, yeah. Anyway, just there's one person. If it does, if it's to be believed and accurate, there's one person on Reddit who posted that he, he put $500 with a coin over there. Yeah. And it was supposed to, it says after three confirmations, you get your coins. And it's been like 18 hours at the time you posted. And he didn't get them. And just because there's no replay protection at the moment, you know, for the big winners that do want to dig in. And I know there's a little bit of a degenerate and all of us. It's kind of how we all started. That really little with you. If you do want to do anything, they're just wait until proper.
Well, yeah, I posted that in the. Nest or the jumbo Tron or whatever we call that. It was a Bitcoin news article thing that I read or post. And yeah, it looks like, and when it was trading there, it was between $8,000 to $100. Yeah, but it was super thin. I don't even know those are accurate. It, it looked like, you know, someone could buy like, I want to say seven coins. And it would just wipe out all the liquidity. Yeah. So I think I suspect it's just a fake exchange to be agreed. But yeah, I plan on just holding. Yeah. No, don't try. Don't try. Because you might say, oh my gosh, I have whatever three Bitcoin. Okay, wow, that's three of those coins. And if, you know, they're trading for 200 bucks, that's $600. Why don't I quickly claim that? But you also might lose all of your main chain Bitcoin without replay protection. Like those, you have to use the same UTXOs. And I believe that exchange site, you have to, well, no, you don't. Never mind. I was going to say you have to input your private keys. But that was another, that was another fake site.
I forget what that one was where you input your private keys and then you get both coins. But never, ever, ever enter your private keys anywhere. I actually don't like that it has a name because it makes me, well, it doesn't matter what that does, but makes me think of rulers and, you know, Bitcoin is all about rules without rulers. And this kind of makes me think of having leaders. Yeah, I don't think it even has, I don't think it has a name. I don't think any legitimate exchanges. I don't know that there's a uniform ticker symbol for it or name for it. I think everyone's just sort of trolling in a way. But anyways, suffice it to say, we have to wait until the leadership makes that decision. Just sit, just sit tight. Yeah, but I think that's how all these things started, right? I think, but I think this is one of the first, correct me if I'm wrong. I think this is one of the first hard for you where we made the rules tighter,
rather than looser or not we, but, you know, most other coins like, like, they like Bitcoin cash whenever they made rules looser and then they forked off. I think this one mostly makes it tighter. Of course, not only with arbitrary data, but I think they made the block size even smaller. I have another one where they're just winging it. They're just kind of calling the shots as they go along. The other guy's had a plan. So is that true? They have, this wasn't all planned. I feel like it was planned. Do you? What, where were you when we had these guys on the show and we literally asked these questions? Yes, correct. I don't know. Well, we're going to just kind of, we got a year to figure it out. And then, okay, what if it doesn't go through? What are you going to do then? Yes. I don't know. So no, they literally are making it up as they go along right down to the, oh, by the way, we changed the block size. Surprise. So yeah, it's just, yeah, the change in the block size was a surprise to me because that wasn't part of one 10 at all. It was just, you know, was a surprise to everybody.
Yeah. I think there's going to be a lot more surprises on the road for, for those folks. So do you like surprises? Be ready. Not those kind of surprises. Those are the bad kind. Yeah. But I do think we learned a lot from it. What the kind of a text that could happen, how, how not to do things and, yeah, and the mining, how, how, how things actually work. So yeah, I think there's some really good lessons and some of those people are really, are really great technically and, you know, it's just a pity that we couldn't all be on this together. But I definitely, well said, yeah, I agree, Paula. Well said. Tomor does a great job articulating this as well. Yeah. Because he's very, I'm kind of an a whole when I say it because I can be, I can come off really gruff as if I'm judging. But I'm actually sad like Paula saying like, because these are great minds like she said.
And it's too bad that we're not on the same team working to, you know, what once started for me as an NGO now is, you know, sovereignty and, you know, hopefully making the world a better place for future generations by separating, you know, money from state and central banking. But we'll see. We shall see. I see they, they already have their first difficulty adjustments that went up to the max, you know, which is for us essentially. Yeah. But I don't see that there's a way for, you know, and Bitcoin we can, we can lot of mine like with bit axes and whatnot and with these small little devices for people to just want to maybe have a chance and aren't running big ASICs and burning a lot of electricity and stuff. I'm not, I'm not aware that they have that yet for the, for the little pleb, but, yeah, it's a whole new. They have a centralized mining pool. I mean, do they have a mining pool or a dev team or I don't really know what's going on over there.
Yeah, I don't know. So we should find out before we just surmise what's going on. Right. What else? I'm trying to see if there's any other requests here or what's in the, what's in the comments here? Hang on. You didn't look at these show notes. No, I didn't get your show notes. Well, they suck. I read them with AI. You know, it was show notes. It was really interesting. I don't know if you guys saw that. No, you're kidding. That I, that I posted about that new movie Bitcoin. It's, oh yeah. I've been going viral. It's got over 200,000 views at the moment. But you know what I wasn't expecting for them. Thanks, Terrence. Well, you know what I know it's the, it's the BSVers, the Biquin Satoshi vision. Guys, all the ones that, you know, that support and support Craig right. Well, here's my point. I did not realize that after everything happened where the courts, you know, found that he defrauded everyone. He clearly was a liar. He is not Satoshi. Yeah.
There's so many people that's that in the comments. If you look at the comments in that post are, they're just, they're angry. They're upset. They're like, no, Craig, they're Satoshi. You guys are idiots. This is going to be a genius movie. I just thought those guys, they said Terrence, but they all came out of the woodwork. History. Rhymes. Hmm. Yeah. Echoes of the past and sanity. Doubling down on stupid is not smart. No, I think you doubled down. Yeah, you don't want to double down when you have two tens, right? Like what are you going to do? Get an ace? Well, you don't split the tens. That's for sure. Don't split. Yeah. You don't split. You never split tens. Yeah, you split. You do split. Acidates. There we go. Always split aces and eights. That's from our quick Blackjack lesson when we played Blackjack together. Yeah. But anyways, normally in the past with posts like that, I would, you know, want to argue facts with them. And I just, I got exhausted and I was like, I can't argue with people if they really
still are holding. And you know how they don't have much to stand on? The people that choose B.S.V, you know, funded and set up entirely by Craig Wright and his team. It they they have such little to bash the main chain Bitcoin about that now, you know what they all say? Like almost every single post they just call us Epstein coin. And that's a newer narrative. That's a newer. Better than peto coin. I know, but that's a newer narrative. Like they run out of so many things to say that now that's the one thing they can hang on to. They Bitcoin. They just get so angry. They're like, hang on to your peto Epstein coin. You know, B.S.V. is the truth. Craig Wright is the, you know, is Satoshi. We do have freedom of religion in America, though. So yeah, they have that going for him. Yeah. Wait, do you think that's how they're going to take them a lead? You know, here's the thing. I have, I have hope that it would go through an end where it lets the audience say,
is this guy absolutely delusional? He really thinks he's Satoshi. I would, that would be my optimistic hope. But I sense, I sense it's going to go in a way where, where, you know, this is the, the unsung hero and the true Bitcoin is B.S.V. And everyone else has been taken for a ride with some captured narrative. I don't know. You say funded this thing, Terence. Was it Craig himself? Well, it's his funder Calvin air who didn't fund the whole thing, but funded a large amount of it. So, you know, I would guess that's at least 15 million plus of the 70 million they spent. It's really like a 200 to 300 million dollar movie, but they only spent 70 million because of AI. When is this thing set to drop? Well, that's the thing. And this shows you why I think it's just mostly a, a Calvin air, um, Craig Wright funded project. It really is outside of Hollywood, but it just has a large budget.
There is no, there is no distributor, which means in all the time this has been developed and being made by a lot of well-known people, which has now been, you know, close to a year, not a single North American distributor has decided to pick it up. Oh, wow. So what does that mean? That means it's not going to hit the theaters or what means us here to us lay folk. Yeah. So what happens is you, on, with independent films, you typically first go to the international markets and there's three major markets. Can me fed in AFM and you go to these places and it's kind of like a, like a bizarre. You sit in these hotel rooms and buyers, walk up and down and they buy your movies. So Germany says, Hey, I want this. Japan says I want this. You partition off rights. You sell them in blocks. Um, and this is how people also prefund a lot of their movies, what, what were called pre sales. You sort of put up like a mock poster and this is what they did. They put up a mock poster. This is what it is. This is who's starring in it. You know, if you buy it now, meaning if you give us the money up front, you'll get a better deal than once it's done. Once it's done, we're going to charge you more.
And it's just paper. So let's say Germany says, Hey, we'll give you 10 million for this film. The producers take that to a bank to, you know, any large entertainment bank and they get a haircut and the bank says, Okay, we'll give you eight million. We're going to keep 20% for taking the risk that Germany will pay you on this paper. And then that's sort of how you, how you raise the hubs. So it sounds like they've went in and and taken advantage of Hollywood in that they hired like a list actors, etc. But wouldn't wouldn't normally a budget this high actually have things kind of set in stone beforehand. Like, Hey, we know we're probably going to distribute it here, etc. Like couldn't these talks or normally wouldn't talk happen before? Well, they actually throw that much money at a movie and throw it out into the world or. So yes, they know a lot. So a lot of the foreign buyers that are putting money up front and pre sales before they shot definitely want a North American distributor. They want to know there's a major studio behind it and they'll they'll pay multiples more.
If there isn't, they're going to pay a lot less, right? And which is partially why Craig Wright or you know, Calvin air, probably independently funded this. They had a, they had a shortfall. They had a gap and they probably didn't like the loan terms or couldn't get a loan on what that gap was. But many North American people on, on these independent ones know that they can't control or give notes as much on story and content and casting. So they don't want to, to take that risk up front. And they know that they're going to make all their money distributing anyways. And they know that when the film's done, they're going to, you know, get to bid for that. So are they slipped daily? Are they slip previews? Are they, you know, do they get to go to a screening when it's completely done? Of course. And the fact that no one's there is somewhat talling. Now it doesn't mean we won't be able to see it. You, they can get a streamer in a heartbeat, you know, worst case to just, well, there's no money. There's no money up front. You know, there's no negative pick up. You just get to, so then they just go to one of the streaming services.
They can go to Amazon Prime and heartbeat. Don't click on. Gotcha. Yeah. And some of those are like really rented distribution. You know, people will be like, Oh, you know, my movies over here on Apple or over. Well, anyone can put them movie on Apple. They have, they have a rent a system. If you're going to be up in the front where they promote it, that's different. You it has to be an original with them where they, you know, spent money on it. But you can have your content there. But anyways, I don't want to support them. So if anybody does knock it off, well, I, you know, I do want to see it. I'm really curious. I know me too. And I get why they made it. If I wasn't even a Bitcoin or it's a fascinating story. Like when it was happening in real time, all of us were, you know, like, wow, what the, how can this, you know, what's going on? So I do want to see it. I just, I'm just kind of bummed because I suspect it's, it's not going to portray Bitcoin as Bitcoin. But I could be wrong. I know, I'm wrong. Yeah. Well, I hope they take it in the shorts and lose a whole bunch of money. Because that might happen.
That shit coins. That's likely to happen. Anyways, chances are that any movie makes money is very, very, very slim. Yeah, AI is going to start tweaking. I mean, Hollywood's changed a lot over the last decade or so as it is correct. And then I see AI is even having an impact on that as well. It's kind of like the music industry. Remember when the music industry just imploded and started with that rip off place that a lime wire, Lars and yeah, yeah, and Mattelica, we're suing. And then it just kind of imploded from there. I wonder where the money actually is now. It's probably in like concerts and whatnot versus actually selling LPs. I don't know. Well, I think, but well, I think actually it's, it's become robust now. But in a more decentralized way, a lot of artists are doing well with Spotify and, you know, pay to play. And when it's also removed, a lot of the gatekeepers, you know, it used to be very hard. You had to have an A&R executive discover you and find you and they'd spend all this money to create your master and, you know, get your band out there.
And now, you know, someone can go on YouTube. And if they're really talented, it's like, you know, you can get a deal and how are we going to get our band out there, Terrence? Well, we, you have to first become a musician, Lauren. And the skin flute is not, you know, we know that. Yeah. Okay. I'm going to work on my time, bringing skills later today. Yeah. Be better. Yeah. Great show, everybody. Hey, Kevin. I, okay. Okay. Who? Wait. K bud. K bud is here. What's up, K bud? Hey, guys, doing what's going on? Having been on for a while. I've been here and there running around doing some errands. And I was curious if anybody saw the fracking article. It was like maybe two weeks ago that they basically froze 12,000 accounts because a sanctioned player had dusted other accounts of cryptocurrency, which included somebody's bitcoins accounts.
You know, there are wallets being frozen just because of the regulatory structure that they have to follow. I don't, I don't know if anybody saw that. Wait, I'm not clear on that. So, so, so a bad actor dusted everyone's accounts on cracking. Is that the first? Right. Yes. Okay. So they sent small amounts of Satoshi's very, very, very tiny parts to people's addresses on cracking. Well, it wasn't necessarily even Satoshi's. It was other cryptocurrency. And because they had multiple different cryptocurrencies on the exchange, they froze everything. So they froze the accounts of the people who got dusted. Yes. I guess I'm not clear why that part happened. Yeah, I'm not sure either. I don't know if you saw it or not, but there was an article that came out maybe mid August. I was asked, did you see that? Yeah. I saw you. Yeah. I saw that. And from what I understand, the address is that those coins came from some form
or another. They were implicated in various forms of fraud or suspected criminal activity. Um, but it's kind of oh, I see. Yeah. So it's, it's, you know, so, but that may got me thinking, you know, like let's say, you know, somebody who has a wallet that's that's been reported for one of those reasons accidentally send somebody in this room, you know, it's a big coin or some ether salon or whatever it is. And, you know, your account gets shut down through no fault of your own. Like you can't control if, you know, somebody puts in a wallet address wrong and accidentally send just some money or like, you know, you can't stop them from doing that, right? Um, so I don't know how you would even recover your account. I mean, what do we, well, for one, that's probably a good reason, another good reason reason number 78 on not to keep your, your Bitcoin on an exchange for one. Um, you know, by coins, yeah, by your groceries at the grocery store, but take your groceries home.
Don't leave them at the grocery store. Um, that's what I'd say is number one. Um, number two, most, so this is what's surprising me, but I haven't read what you're saying. Most exchanges or even solid wallet providers, they'll often hide the dust, you know, within certain limits, if it's a certain amount of dust, like they, because they know that it's mostly bad actors that are trying to break your, your privacy or when you spend from that wallet to find out your transaction history, they're, they're usually trying to do something nefarious. Um, and, you know, technically, shit coins. Yeah, technically the dust that you've gotten, you know, those are brand new UTXOs that are your UTXOs. The bad UTXOs have been burned. They're no longer spendable, but you can see that where they came from. And so maybe they want to see, oh, it's just a bad actor suddenly sending it to, you know, his partner Seth, well, we better freeze Seth's count and check him out. Um, but I don't know what the regulatory protocol is for that, but I wouldn't
think they could just ban your all account. Um, but yeah, it's, it's something. Some of these things might be automated as well as one of the, yeah, I'm sure it's automated where it just goes blank and you're frozen. Yeah, I've had that happen to me before the exchanges when I go to, um, cause I use fidelity digital assets, but I also use self custody as well. Um, and I've had instances where if I wanted to move Bitcoin off and exchange it, which is automatically freeze the treat transaction. And normally it was because I had never done that before with that particular exchange. Um, but what a pain in the ass that was because I had to call them. And then I had to talk to somebody on the phone and I get transferred a million times and eventually I got to sort it out, but it was like seven days where, you know, I had a rather large amount of Bitcoin was just like in purgatory, right? Cause I was trying to move it off the exchange and they froze a transaction and it already been deducted from my balance. So it wasn't like I was like, you know, I basically was at the mercy of the exchange to get it sorted out, you know, and eventually I did, but it took me seven days.
Yeah. Yeah. And I think you're kind of at the mercy of whatever jurisdiction said company. Stay to, yeah, we saw with X money. Yeah, stay. Yep. Exactly. And, um, X money. Where is Kraken based anyway? Um, Wyoming. Is it in America? Wyoming. It, it up. Okay. And I was thinking with X money, there are people in New York now can't earn interest on their accounts for X money if you're a New York resident. Interesting. Yeah. So. I remember back in the good old days, I thought I was a great, uh, shit coins trader and was doing the Binats thing where you buy 50 different. There probably wasn't 50 back then, but buying all these stupid shit coins and then one day realized that I was dealing with the, uh, an exchange that I know since then they've probably had different jurisdictional issues and whatnot. But it was basically Chinese and that any moment I could just lose everything. And I'd have really hit BTC.
Shit coins. Yeah. Anyway, you live and learn. I don't mess with any of that stuff and haven't in a long time. Yeah. There's a lot of, you remember, Lauren, I forget when you got into Bitcoin, but there were so many of these exchanges. 1962. Yeah, exactly what boy, that was a long time. So you, the, they, you had to go to a lot of these foreign exchanges. There was no KYC. And I just assumed that how it was, but looking back, I can't believe that that's where I was going to buy Bitcoin, but I just didn't know any better. And I think the first two or three exchanges I was going to don't even exist anymore. But they were mostly, mostly shit coin casinos. They've all gone belly up. Way back. They didn't have exchanges. I mean, back in the day to buy Bitcoin, you had to jump through so many hoops. And it was like, you know, when you, I first heard about it, like, oh, eight or nine. I'm like, you know, you just sent in my, like random people and, you know, like hope. You, you heard about Bitcoin in. Oh, yeah. Oh, nine Satoshi. I think you better re-asset.
He's, he's Satoshi. Yeah. My real name is Satoshi Nakamoto. Satoshi Nakamoto would never say that. I'm just following. Seth, do you still hold? Holy smokes. It's no take Natalie. No, it's too many takes Natalie. I'm too many takes Natalie. Now you can't shut me up, guys. Happy Humpty. Seth, did you say you still hold at fidelity? I mean, from that experience, yeah, you do both. I have, uh, uh, uh, failed digital assets and, and also, uh, self custody. Um, I don't talk about my setup because I've been in target and fishing attacks and also, uh, I had a couple of months ago. Uh, somebody showed up in my residence. Uh, so that was a little bit of a, uh, really? Yeah, yeah. Like with, and what happened? The law enforcement was involved and yeah, it was, it was pretty serious. Um, I sure wasn't Halloween and those were the kids dressed as cops. Yeah, okay. They, they, yeah.
Um, thankfully, you know, um, me and everybody in the family are safe. But yeah, it's, you gotta be super careful, you know, so I have, you know, uh, multiple devices, multiple hardware wallets. I use self custody. I use, uh, you know, exchanges, um, you know, fidelity. I like fidelity just because they're known. Very large company. Um, you know, you know, one of the big negatives of fidelity, even though you can hold spot Bitcoin there and your own Bitcoin address, you do know one of the big negatives, right, Seth? There's two negatives, but there's one big one. Two negatives equal positive. Well, yeah, I mean, no, that's only if you multiply or divide. Yeah, they can freeze the account of something, you know, I've had that happen before with other exchanges, but I guess that's another, that's a third one. But you know what the biggest one is for me? What's that? You can't, it's so your, your Bitcoin there on that account is not part of your regular fidelity brokerage. You, uh, you would have to go through probate if you pass. You cannot add that, or it cannot be part of your trust.
Oh, um, yeah, they do not, yeah, they do not allow. It's just another reason reason number 124. Why it's helpful to self custody. Here's the second one. As you know, but some people might find this to be positive. You can't withdraw no matter who you are, no matter how much you have, more than $25,000 in a 24 hour period, worth of Bitcoin. So if you're keeping a significant amount of your Bitcoin there, have fun getting it out when you think they're going to start freezing your account. I will say this though. It's the pricey tool for them to hold it. What's that to? It isn't kind of pricey too for them to hold it for you. No, that's probably the benefit for some people. It costs the big amount of zero. That's pricey. Hey, Tray is here. That's what I just said. Oh. What's going on, Tray? Long time no see. He's busy polishing off his new strike desk. Oh yeah, congratulations. He was fired from unchained. Yeah, he had to walk the gauntlet.
Yeah, they had to let him go. They found him doing inappropriate stuff. But strikes says, hey, we love you. Yeah, we'll take him. Yeah. Yeah. Just for the record, that is completely made up. Bullshit. Thank you, Terrence for that. I fired myself. I was just too valuable. Actually, let's ask Tray because he would know. So before you got your trade, we were talking about when wallets get dusted. And I know like on unchained, unless you push a special button, they mostly hide that because they're always trying to dust people's wallets, all these bad actors. Apparently, there's a story out right now that someone dusted a bunch of cracking accounts. Probably blasted hundreds of them I'm guessing. And cracking probably automatically froze those accounts. Do you know anything frozen? That's what Seth is telling us, but Seth makes up a bunch of things we think. It was 12,000 accounts. Yeah, it was K-Bud that actually
says about the story. Yeah, Kyle Bud told us that they've still told. Yeah, because maybe they knew that that was a bad account. They've been tracking it in sense. It went to all these accounts. You know, automatically would assume you might be a partner or that's the same person. But obviously anyone can just dust anyone. And so, you know, what? It's dusted me. What are the risks there? Yeah, well, it's another reason to get your Bitcoin off an exchange. But I was curious, like it unchained, you guys would never do that. Were you tracking where the dusting came from? No, not that I'm aware of. Well, that's probably why we fired. We definitely had people who would actually would reach out to us and be like, where did this little bit of Bitcoin come from? Like, I had no idea what this is. And we're like having to explain to them that, oh yeah, well, people do this as a way to, I don't know, sometimes like advertise. Like, well, you get that onoster too, right? Like, people will send you sats with like an advertisement
sent in the, in the know. Yeah, club orange. Some orange does that too. It could be, it could be, you know, a way to maybe like, track the movements of particular Bitcoin, right? Because if you end up spending those UTXOs as part of a larger transaction, ties them together and then, you know, if you send that to an exchange or something, perhaps you can track it a little bit better. But there's no like security risk to doing it in terms of the potential for like losing your Bitcoin, you know. Right. But you just, but that is what's nice about Unchained and another thing to compare to Fidelity Seth is with Unchained and most, you know, Bitcoin wallets, you have coin control. And so when you go to send Bitcoin out of Unchained, you can make sure you're not selecting that dust in which case they can start tracking you. If someone dust you at Fidelity, you can't control coins. They just have a, you know, fiat balance there. Yeah, I'm going to check that out today. I just like having multiple options, you know, after the coal cart thing, I really took a look at it.
I completely changed how I had, you know, my security set up. And then was just like, okay, just, you know, built in a bunch of redundancies. So, you know, I've gotten a account on Fidelity. I've got another one on Coinbase. I've got one on Crack. And so if God forbid, something happens with, you know, one of my self-custody options, not that I think that it would, but you never know, right? I don't have to, I'm not sitting here trying to figure out, oh my God, where am I going to move my Bitcoin to keep it safe? And so I figure out what I'm going to do, right? Like I know, like I literally actually had sat down and, and wrote it on a piece of paper, one for myself, but also for my family, right? Like if I'm traveling on business, I'm not going to take my, my hardware wallet with me, leaving behind. I'm going to need somebody in my family. So that's going to, they're going to need to move that Bitcoin. And so I sat down and just made very specific instructions. Step one, step two, step three. And so the individual that's designated to do that, you know, I, you know, you know, basically orange, pill them on board them, they've got a wall and all that stuff.
So they don't have a lot of Bitcoin, but they're familiar enough that if I call them and say, hey, I need you to go and, and do, you know, move the Bitcoin from point A to point B, they can do it. And it can be done relatively quickly. So, where do you hide those instructions, Seth? Like where do you keep those? Oh, I, I, in the ocean, I locked them in a safe and threw them over. Okay, but your family knows how to scoop a dive, I see. Oh, yeah, yeah. So they got a scoop of Steve outfit, you know, with the red fins and then, nice. Yeah. Hey, let's say hi to Fred. And then I have another question for Tray. What's up, Fred? Oh, nice. Oh, really? Since yesterday? How's that sandwich? Okay. That sounds great. Say, Humble and, and stack Blake. Fred, did you go over to that day side? No, no, take Fred. No takes Fred. Oh, Fred, you went over to the meal. I'm taking Fred, yeah. Me, oh, X.
I figured I figured, I figured, I really, Puncher really believes in Blake. I mean, I was on a space with, with, uh, with, uh, British and he was just, uh, roasting Puncher for Blake. I thought Puncher said he wasn't going to hard fork or do any of that. Once one 10 died, he said, yeah, yeah, he said a lot of gone things. He's all in, I'm like, oh, wow. I would think just, you know, because you and Ben are experimental and not would, to try to mine it, just with that new hashing algorithm and see what it was about. Yeah, I sort of thought about it. Um, I've just got so many other things, but, you know, I wouldn't mind, uh, I wouldn't mind the, just seeing if I could mine any, I don't know. Yeah, well, they just had a huge difficulty adjustment. So it was four times easier. I heard the, uh, Blake miners are sold out. It's backordered. You heard or you're telling us for a friend? No, I heard. I'm a friend. I'm mining it on my flip phone.
Nice. Okay, Fred. You had another question for Tray. I did. I thought you were going to go all the way back to Lindy talking about using strike and, well, I could go back to Lindy, but she keeps dropping. She doesn't understand. She doesn't know how to use her phone. No, the, you know, or remember she uses strike, except she wants to strike. She gets it. She has the lady coin purse, Bitcoin wallet. Oh, well, well, yeah, it's a little, yeah, you look at it. You just, you know, my grandma had that in church. She pinched it open and say, take out a quarter, sunny. Yeah. Put it in the tithe, put it in the tithe plate. You guys maybe don't know what that means. A trade, oh, Seth left, but I know that obviously when you buy strike, your Bitcoin is sitting there, quote unquote, until you send it to your own wallet. But since you're part of strike private, do you guys do some kind of custody as well that most people aren't aware of or know? I mean, what does strike do in that regard? Oh, you didn't like that question either.
Okay. I see how it goes. Terence asks a question. I don't know the answer. I'm just going to leave the stage. Unbelieveable. That's private information. Yeah. Now I see why trade was fired from Unchained. This is unbelievable. But I'm glad he's that strike. I'm very happy for him. Shake coins. Fred, do you strike? Strike is my, is my go-to for, for, for paying all my bills. I love it. I'm more of a cash app guy, but I have you strike in the past. But I'm more, I mean, cash app for paying. No idea what happened there, guys. Cash app for me is great. I'm curious what strike is evolved to because, you know, it's changed a bit. Yeah, I love cash app. That's what's 10 of Lindy. I think Lindy's going to sign up today. And I love that you can load up the debit card and instant transfers. It's fantastic. And I always offer these things with it like, hey, for the next two weeks, you know, it's, you get 10% back in Bitcoin. Or now it's 20% off on Uber this week if you spend in Bitcoin and blah, blah, blah.
But yeah, Trey, now that you're back, want to tell us what? Hey, sorry. That's a good idea. If you want to stay employed at strike for a while, you should answer our questions. Otherwise. I heard, I heard the question. I looked like I was connected. Why don't they invest in spaces? It's just really, I don't think it's day. I think it's you. I'm here. I feel just fine. Okay. All right. All right. I think there's an opportunity for strike when it comes to custody to like be a little bit more vocal about the security that we offer when you're, you know, trusting your Bitcoin with us. I'm certainly a self-custody, you know, maxi at least for my own stack. But a lot of people are not necessarily comfortable with doing that. Like who's the previous gentleman was saying like, spread things around a little bit. And you know, strike has really good, custody infrastructure underneath the hood for the security of the Bitcoin that our clients are holding.
And for the treasury that strike holds, we are starting to talk about ways to improve that, ways to talk about it better, and potentially like ways to open up different formats for people. And that could potentially include some total average of custody or self-custody type options. We'll see. We'll see where that goes. If anybody has like a feedback on those types of ideas, you know. And what about a credit card or debit card? The credit card, debit card thing. I have not had any conversations about that since I started. But I don't let you in the big boys room yet. I know. I've heard Jack talk about how, you know, from his perspective so far, it's like, could we provide something that is better than what, you know, the big credit card providers do provide?
And I don't know that the team is convinced on that, but I think it's still kind of an open idea that they'd be willing to explore. So I don't know about that. Because it would at least be better for all the people that use and love strike, obviously, but I don't know what financing's involved in setting up a card. Maybe that's really expensive. Yeah, I mean, I guess like, I don't know if we can throw the question to you or to the group is, you know, if you are using a credit card and then using the bill pay function that is available in strike, isn't that like the same, like what would you get from a strike credit card that you wouldn't get from? Well, with a card, like, you know, I take it out to, perhaps like, to dinner and coffee and whatnot, right? The ACH is just doing my monthly bills, like both Lindy and I use it for all our regular stuff. Like she said, like the garbage truck and my, and my rant and my mortgage. She's got her hand up so she can actually say it. Is that a debit card?
Yeah, that's a debit card. You have to load it up. It's actually literally would like to speak right now. Oh, there she is. Yeah. Yeah, go ahead, Lindy. Sorry about that. Yeah. Well, I, and when I'm on, uh, and that was a close invitation. Questions. Can you hear me? Yeah, sorry. I just, Terrence was so close to your voice. I just blew me away. I couldn't tell when the transition happened. Anyway, go on. Oh my gosh. No, uh, when we ask him the question about a debit card, I think that in Jack's mind, it's necessary for him to be able to give back like points. And, you know, he's thinking along the lines of he uses his card and get skymiles and whatnot. But I, I can't get a credit card. I have shit for credit because I don't, I've never used it. And so a debit card is what I want. And I don't need anything from it other than to be able to pop it out and put fuel in my mini van. Yeah. So essentially you want to be able to walk around with your debit card and put fuel in your
mini van as soon as you swipe it, it's selling down a portion of your Bitcoin to pay for that and debiting from that. That's what I want. That's what I want. I want you to tell little Jackie Mollers to get that going. And while I've got you, strike also needs a strike link so that I can send Bitcoin to someone with a link who doesn't yet have a strike account. Okay. Yeah, what do you do over there, Tray? Let's get going. Get it going. I appreciate that. Thank you so much. I will definitely pass both of those comments on to the team. One thing that you probably have already noticed about strike, which is, you know, are the reason that I, that I joined in this new adventure is just super responsive to what customers in the market are asking for and want. And so, I'll absolutely pass that on and no doubt it will be taken seriously.
Yeah, and all seriousness, they're like one of the best. I just, I've always had the best experience. This is with strike and just also with the lightning integrations, just could not be easier to to send stats. Absolutely love it. But then if you send the link, would they be required to then have strike? So the way that works, and I'm familiar with it because of river river does this, but I like strike. I prefer strike. So I'd like to be able to do it on strike. If I want to orangepill someone and I want them to use strike, it is so much more advantageous for me to send them $10 a Bitcoin via a link. And then for them to be able to take access of that Bitcoin, they then set up their strike account. And then they have, they have, you know, skin in the game $10, whatever. But and then like the link only lasts for 30 days. And if they don't take advantage of it, then the money is just returned to me.
Does that make sense? Yes. A lot like swan swan does that. Okay. Okay. One thing that I'm very excited that we're going to be able to offer because I use this at river is interest on cash. So like a lot of, I try to keep as little cash as possible by the way, because it's melting ice cube. But there are times when I need to keep like a higher cash balance because I've got certain expenses that I know are coming up or whatever. And it's just easier to do that than deal with the transaction cost. And so being able to like stick that in there and earn kind of like money market like returns on a cash balance that can easily be withdrawn is really, really nice. So I'm excited for that as well. I think Tray is having one of Fred Sandwich's while he's talking. I've been a long time strike user. I actually use strike to DCA every hour, every day for almost two years.
That's a lot of UTXOs, no? It's a ton. Yeah. I would save them all up and every week or so just transfer them all over to cold storage in one single transaction. So yeah, I've always wondered of UTXOs. I've always wondered about people's mentality and the reason that they choose the different like cadences of DCA that you can choose. Like I've always thought like I don't need to buy Bitcoin every hour. I can buy a bigger amount once a week. So much easier to handle. It was a long time ago and I did it because one of my friends was doing the same thing. So we kind of had a lot of experience. So you just do what your friends do. You don't think for yourself. Oh, you know, sometimes it's fun to have a little hard work. Then you got to like turn off the notifications because you're going to be hit every single hour with a notification that you just do right. That keeps them alive. Yeah, right. It keeps them going. That is kind of nice. You know, also another fun fact about strike is back in the day, long time ago. I was having some issues with strike and actually have messages from Jack who was performing
customer service for them. So I thought that was funny. I remember those days. Those were awesome. Yeah, it's not fun. Oh, dear, but I love strike. Strike is wonderful. Oh, another thing I wanted to add as a footnote to some of these other things like you mentioned a Terrence in the throttling of amounts of coin. You can take out of certain of these. I also wanted to mention that cash app also fits that criteria. So when you start dealing with larger amounts, always keep that in the back of your mind. You won't be able to liquidate out of some of these things. Cash app definitely fits that criteria as far as amounts you can purchase and also amounts you can withdraw from. So definitely check those out before you think, hey, I'm going to just hold my Bitcoin here. For a long time. And if you know, it hits the fan, I need to withdraw. I can do it. You can't do it in one big chunk. So always keep that in mind. I spoke with many people actually over my years at Unchained who had accumulated, call it
$300, $400,000 worth of Bitcoin via cash app. And you know, yeah, that's a train right? They had like a $2500 a week or $5,000 a week limit on that or something. And it's like, that's going to literally take you years to be a bit. Yep. If you need to. I think they moved it up to $25,000 also similar to Fidelity, but I don't know what it currently sits at. Yeah, just something to be aware of. That's why I'm throwing it out there. That would take years? At their old limits. But now it's $25,000. Yeah, well, that's what I was saying earlier. And it's just another reason that I like strike. It's just you can have your trust account there. There's actually a little button you click and you add that your beneficiaries, which could be the trust itself. So you don't have to go into details. But Fidelity, for whatever reason, you can't do that. If your money, if something happens to you, your Bitcoin is going to go into probate,
into state probate. It really sucks that they have it that way. And your limited $25,000 withdrawal is per day, which is tiny for many of the types of Bitcoiners that are using Fidelity. And Terrence, when you said if you die, it's not if it's when. So if something we don't have a comment. No, no, no, there's going to be an AI head on my body to keep going. Little AI Terrence rolling around on the one wheel. Not so little. Oh, you're going to get a bigger head? Yes, much bigger head. Giant head on a one wheel. I see Brie Goth with his her hand up. I don't know what the pronouns are, Brie Goth. Can you hear me? Okay, sounds like Man with Balls. Can you hear me now? Man with Balls of the pronouns. I want that. So I was just going to say that I have personal experience with this hash up conversation as I was starting my I saw my cult storage journey. And originally, the withdrawal amounts were as you stated.
And it take me years to get it off. And I reached out to customer service and had a couple of maybe conversations and what ended up happening for me is over time. They automatically started to increase my withdrawal ability. So just start moving forward to to complete this cult storage journey. I can't move before regardless of whatever it was. And eventually, I got access in my money a lot quicker. So keep plugging away in this. Yeah, that's a good story. I think it's similar to like a hot wallet where I personally wouldn't keep large sums in any of these things. I know Fred was saying he uses, you know, cash up to pay a lot of his bills, etc. That might be smart, like, you know, money that you'd pack around in a wallet or purse to pay for incidentals and whatnot. Maybe that would be a better way to use some of these services rather than storing long-term or larger amounts in. Just. Hey, Lauren, speaking of hot wallets, have you seen Humble's new profile picture?
Dear God. Yeah, it's a comment. It's a hot wallet. I'm like, what it would I don't want to end up divorced for a few time, but you can appreciate a hot wallet and still be married. There's a hot blonde now. Yeah. What's wrong? I can, but I just have to be careful what I say. But yes, I agree. You would know being married six times. Oh, that's true. Very good look. Yes, we'll just end it at that. I don't think I have to be careful with what I say. So no, you don't. You can say it for me. Yeah. Looking good, Humble. Yes. I concur. We got Fred back. He's finished his sandwich now. We also have big G here. Oh, dear. What is happening? Who's big G? Well, I mean, last time big G and Fred were in the same room. No, we're all. There was some fighting words. No, there's no fighting words. We're all friends. There's a lot of other words. No, there's lots of peace and love in Kumbaya. That's what I want. No, you don't know what you want. I've been spitting piss and vinegar lately. So it's not really helping my whole message.
Yeah, you're the one that needs some Kumbaya. All right. I need that's why I went into the mountains, man. All right. Well, let's say hi to dark then while we wait for Fred or G to chime in. Stop dark. Hey, what's up, guys? Top of the day, too. You out to talking to percent? I always picture you talking to percent saying, hey, listen, buddy. Here's what we need to do. Big daddy Scott. Yeah, I know. It's a wild time, man. It looks like another Yen intervention, potentially. I don't think there's any been a formal announcement, but certainly trading like that. Bonds are kind of taking a rest today. It feels like today's a rest day. Maybe maybe we're resting until, uh, Hey, dark. Did you see, did you see a Bessence or Bessence, excuse me, a brag about the performance of US bonds? He was saying US bonds are just the highest performing bonds in the world. That's what it's mean. What? What are you talking about, man? He literally said that?
No. Oh, yeah, he did. He's like, uh, they have outperformed all bonds everywhere else. I'm like, but what? Excuse me. Well, maybe that's true, but, uh, have we checked the yields yet, Scotty? Check out the yields of these vehicles that can't hurtle inflation. They are the best performing things that cannot hurtle inflation. So you will lose less. I like that. It is a clown show, right? Like these are peak fiat, late stage craziness. As Matthew Mazzinska said, the dollar is the best, is the best looking horse at the glue factory. Yeah, dark says it differently. He says it's the tallest midget or something like that. Are you allowed to say midget? No, it's not PC. It's the tallest person of the munchkins. Are you allowed to say munchkin?
Let me check. Yep, getting the nod from a producer. That's fine. Wait, Tray, I don't know if you answered. So do people do customers seek strike for custody, like some do with river? Uh, less, less than I think we would like. You know, it's like, I think river has done a really, really good job of marketing themselves as a really place safe, safe place to hold your Bitcoin if you're if you're not taking self custody, while also promoting self custody as a good thing as well, right? And making it easy for that, which I think is good. Hey, Tray, it's Fred. Hey, do you guys, I just wanted to put it in you guys's vomit. And we're looking for, uh, we'd love to have strike sponsor a little mini booth at a Bitcoin Alpha and educate us as to what you're doing. What's Bitcoin Alpha?
I don't think I've what's Bitcoin Alpha? Yeah, sorry. Oh, really, should I drop him now, Fred? That was that was rhetorical. Of course, I know, but just for the audience. Yeah, so Bitcoin Alpha is a maximum 200 Bitcoiners that it's an expensive conference, but it's expensive. It's not, we're not making any money on it, but it's basically 150 to 200 Bitcoiners that are gathering in Santa Monica on October 16th, all day, two nights. And, um, you know, basically we're we're going to be debating things like, uh, self-custody options, where Bitcoin's going, macro, all AI and Bitcoin, everything else. So it'd be, you know, it'd be fantastic if Jack could come, but, uh, and I, and I DMed him, but it didn't hear back, but, uh, but yeah, uh, just wanted to put it on you guys's radar. So if you, if you, if you were at all interested in sending
somebody or we're doing something, you know, we have a day before, you guys could do it up, you know, a strike, focused, uh, party or whatever. Um, but, you know, and trade, you know, not for you since you obviously know all of these details, but for the audience. Um, it is a really, really high signal, sort of, sort of, uh, concentrated, you know, nutrient dense type, unconference. There's no speakers, but there's, uh, there's like four tracks all running at the same time. And you're encouraged to sort of jump from one to one. It's very Satoshi round table style. And you get a lot of people that you don't normally see it at some of these places, whether it's, you know, Jason Lowry, who wrote, soft war or, you know, David Chom, the godfather of e-cash, like, there's just a lot of people that show up because there's a lot of people that are nearby. Um, everyone from, you know, the suit winners to the hardcore self-custody people, um, and dark who's up here could even tell you. I think he said it was
one of the best conferences he's been to. Um, anyway, so I know you know all of that. It's the main thing about, and it would be amazing for, I mean, I just think it'd be, you know, amazing kind of, uh, uh, ROI, for striked to do something there. So either, either at the event or the night before or after. So add that to your little Jackie Moller's list, right? Okay. Um, yeah, I'll certainly pass it on to the team. Um, it might be a little bit late in the game at this point for us to put some together, but, um, and I, I put it on your radio. That's it. Yeah. I appreciate that. Um, how often do you do it? Is it like a quarter or a type of thing? He's asking for the audience. Of course, he knows all of this. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Um, the other two are fantastic. So, you know, I just think, you know, it's an opportunity to kind of get to people who have, you know, follow things and voices, influence, you know, uh, I'd love to come out to Santa Monica.
I've got, uh, you know, the ability, I've got some flex in the ability to attend some of these different things as well, but, um, I've already got a couple of things in October that I got to deal with. So, over 16th, if you can come, it'd be great. You know, we could, we could, you can figure out a, so basically there's no speakers on this thing. So everybody's, I don't know if you've ever been to St. Oathe Roundtable, but, um, Drew came from Unchained, um, once. Yeah. He was the first one. Yeah. Yeah. The first one. So it was great. And, uh, you know, basically, you can kind of, what we basically do is we don't have any speakers per se. We have people just leading sessions. And so the sessions happen. If anybody can kind of chime in, it's like not a stage. It's more people are just gathering circles. And so, you know, we could have, uh, you know, you could lead a session. There's no problem, right? You know, we need people to lead them. And I'm sure it'd be well-attended and people would talk about it and then you hang out all day and just talk Bitcoin.
So it's, it's a big stage. It's a big stage. It's on white leather couches. Yeah. It's, but you know, it's, uh, I like how it's, how great it is. It's just an amazing, like, and I went to the reason it started is I went to, uh, I went to St. Oathe Roundtable once. Ben has been a couple times, uh, but basically, St. Oathe Roundtable started in, I think 2013, parents, I'm not even 100% sure, but Bruce Fenton started it. It's been in Dubai for a couple years now, but it's, you know, it's a track and it's like a week in Dubai and it's like, you know, I think the ticket alone is 13 grand and you have to pay for flight to Dubai and everything. So, it's a very exclusive bunch of people, but it's not Bitcoin or it's only, right? It's turned into more of a Cardano conference and various, you know, layer twos and layer ones. And you know, and so, I basically thought, okay, wouldn't it be great to do something more a little bit less Loki in,
in say Santa Monica and have it be only Bitcoin? So that's the genesis of this conference. And, and I was going on and then the genesis different. And if you ask me, the rest of me, the rest of me, it's different too. Yeah, go ahead Fred. I would say the original idea came from Lauren because Pacific Bitcoin was canceled three years ago and uh, Swan thing, which, you know, we've been to, right? And, you know, we were all planning on going to Pacific Bitcoin and it was canceled. And so Lauren said, hey Fred, why don't we, why don't we, some of us big pointers get together and do our own conference, which I said, I have no interest in kind of being in the conference business, Lauren, but if you guys want to, if you want to set up something, we can, we can all do it. And uh, and it was a lot of work, but actually ended up being fun. So, um, you know, we're doing it again. One more, one more year, third year, it's, uh, you know, uh,
it's gonna be fun. It's gonna be great. It's gonna be a great event. And we have, I guess, 110 people now so far signed up, but we have a maximum of 200. That's the maximum that we can, that we can actually do. And we have sort of seeding for 160, I think that's been awarded. So, we're kind of at 160 to 200 is kind of the, the capacity of the room and everything. And that's it. So, um, and it's right on the beach. You know, we're right there. And Fred, when you, when you say, it's in, it's in Casad, Omar, which is, you know, pretty much the best, it's a five star hotel on the beach. It's the best five star hotel. It's the best venue in Santa and sort of Southern California, which, you know, on it, um, or even throw in Northern California. And Fred, Fred, when you say Bitcoin, you, you mean the, the legacy chain that is, yeah, no, no, no, Blake coiners gonna be there. I have any Blake sessions going. As a country probably, it becomes, it's gonna want to do a Blake session.
Yeah. But remember, one Blake equal one Blake, not your keys. Oh, man. If he brings, if he brings bagels, I mean, maybe, maybe we should do that. Is strike have an official Blake position? Are you guys doing strike for Blake? Um, I have no knowledge of any, but how would we even do anything with that? I don't know. No, um, we don't that I'm aware of. Strike out. It's funny because like, this is a Lauren Terrence, you might remember this from like weeks ago, before the fork. And um, we were just having these conversations. And I was just trying to point out to the audience like, um, what, what was the incentive that any, you know, Bitcoin companies or service providers had to, um, you know, do anything related to that fork. And there, there really
wasn't one right? It's like only downside. Um, and that turned out to be exactly how it played out. So we'll see you in Santa Monica, Trey. Oh, man, I would. Yeah, great. So then we'll see you there. You're a Bitcoiner. You get to do what you love. Yeah, that's, that's nice. We know how it works. I invited Mitchell up here. I don't know if he's busy onboarding John Harre still over at Blockware, but let's go to dark. Dark, you were talking. I don't know if you got cut off or, yeah, I got a phone call. I had to think, um, yeah, no, I mean, I'm just kind of, you know, looking at markets. And I think we're just kind of rolling into Labor Day. And it's going to be quiet. But I expect all, all kind of fireworks to start going off once everyone's back at their desk, around in the Hamptons. I think probably half of New York traders are in the Hamptons right now. But yeah, no, it's, uh, these are wild times, Ben, you know, again, we have intervention. It looks
like intervention today and again. Um, I don't know what to say, man. You know, I'm trying to be optimistic on these spaces, but it's hard. It's very hard. What about you, Mitchell? What are you seeing out there other than setting up minors for all the Blake 2B coin people? You must be busy. You must be alive with inquiries. Oh, yeah, absolutely. I think I had a resounding like two emails about it. People are really foaming at the mouth to get in on this. Um, no, no context on the conversation, but, uh, I don't think I've been on this space in a while. Hope you're doing well Terrence and everybody else. The bull market is back. So all the sats that were stacked the last six months, they're going to be incredibly valuable going forward and it is confirmed the four year cycle. If it wasn't officially dead before, it's officially dead now. No more 75% bear markets. I think that has major implications for Bitcoin going forward. Yeah, it's 100% dead. All you miss, Mitch is we were congratulating, uh, Tre, who now left because you're stealing his thunder,
but we were congratulating him, moving over to strike from unchained. I wasn't sure if you were aware of that. Yeah. I was actually, yeah, it looks like he came back. He's got the shiny new badge. Tre, actually, I have to, I have to thank him. My most viewed YouTube video and over a year is thanks to a collaboration with Tre telling me exactly precisely how much Bitcoin I need to retire. So it's good. I know exactly one number and there's nothing that could possibly change that. We know for a fact that one of my favorite calculators is fire calculator, um, where you look, you can literally say with with with significant confidence. Yeah, when can I retire based on how much Bitcoin I have or how much I need? There's another calculator for Blake and the answer is you can't retire. You got to keep working. Oh, Fred, he just wrote that one too. It was super easy. Very easy to write. Yeah, Tre, you need to have a little slider on your calculator. Click it over to Blake. Oh, man. See,
how much longer we need to work with Blake coin. I like that. Half fun staying on Shrathu 5.6. Oh, that's a good one. Yeah, otherwise, Tomers going to have to come up here and tell us a whole new hash and algorithm. I have, uh, I have no context on the Blake thing. Like, how did that name come about? It was why isn't it like the Luke algorithm or something? I think that is the name of the hash and algorithm that see a coin has been using. They adopted the same hash. And I think it was, I I believe I'm wrong someone, but I believe it was already called Blake. Um, that was the name of it. Okay, that's it was really funny. It's just like an acronym. They put together. Yeah, do you know, Fred? They put together like a, it's called Blake to be usually the correct language. Yeah, but what is that the name was that? But that name was there, but Blake was there with see a coin. Yeah, it was there. Yeah, yeah, got you. It's a no one hashing algorithm.
Yeah, yeah. So just like, you know, did you, you know, Bitcoin gold had equa hash, you know, Bitcoin has shot 256. There's a bunch of different algorithms. Hey, and look, the best case is for Blake is it becomes kind of the shiba inu of the new Bitcoin ecosystem. You know, it's going to become a mean coin, right? It has no purpose, nothing, but some people will create it because it's funny. It's kind of like these little penguin robots or something, you know, duck robots. It's completely pointless, but it might catch a bit. Yeah, that would still means exchanges have to list it. I'm just curious, who's even going to list it first because right now it's just that. No, that's a fake one. That's why it's Neo X whatever I think I believe it's a fake one or a scam. If you do any research into it, yeah, they're the second post in the nest talks about it. What does it say, Lauren?
Well, it just lists Bitcoin news. Their first article was saying like, hey, surprise, the stuff is trading on this new Neo X exchange and it looks like somebody bought one for a hundred dollars. Then the next post, they say, oh, wait, red flags, it's probably a scam. Somebody put, you know, put 500 bucks in there trying to buy this Blake shit and they're 500 bucks is gone. Basically, that's the TLDR. Yes, so head over there. Try let us know how it works for you. Yeah, like, wait, I mean, I mean, yeah, I didn't like, we're seeing your phone. Oh, but it's actually two. Some city knew we'll say, where the value coins are eight dollars. Oh, dude. Does the strike app work as well as trace microphone? I might have to rethink my legions to them.
I don't know why spaces doesn't work for me. Can you guys hear me or no? Yeah, again, I don't think it spaces. I think it's you. That's a you problem. It's definitely, it's definitely Elon. Who do you just hire for dealing with the X app? Lauren? Who replaced Nikita? No, not me. I don't know. I wasn't aware. Let's see if Gary's here. Gary hasn't said hello yet. Are you there, Big G? Big G's bullish. Ice is determined the value of money. Thought maybe I'd close them out of retirement with this theme song. Yeah, it's not working so well. No. Hey, Linda, did we, did you finish your tech stack? So you you use strike for all your bill pay. You're going to be using cash app because you've been using the coin base card and you don't like that. So the cash app card will solve your issue there. What else are you using?
Really, that ticks all the boxes for me. I sometimes come by some fiat when I sell something and I'll just hold that in my account and use it for a bit, which was handy when Bitcoin went down, but for the most part, I just use those two things. Any reoccurring billing comes out of bill pay and strike implemented that like in the actual moment I needed it. So it's been fantastic for me. And so have you, I don't know your fiat situation, but have you, are you either reconciled with yourself that your your your Bitcoin stack will be going down in the future or are you earning more fiat than you're spending your you're able to continue to stack on top of that? No, it will go down. I'm hopeful that my book when I can get it, you know, turning a little better than it is now. Also, thanks for the orders that came through off of spaces. And I appreciate you guys let me come up to plug it. I do believe I can earn a small income off of
the book. I have a lot invested in it. And, you know, first of all, I need to recoup the maybe generational wealth of Bitcoin that I put to get it off the ground. Do you have an audio version? I do not have an audio version. No. And is that because it's a children's book and it's visual? Children's picture book and it you need the pictures, the the illustrations. Yeah, Lauren won't read anything without pictures. So that that was smart. So truth. Very true. It will go down and I'm not opposed to getting a job. But, you know, right now I have a 17 year old daughter. We lost my husband a couple years ago. So I'm just grateful that Bitcoin has allowed me to be home and focus on her, especially with the current season we're in of some very troubling and tough times. So Lindy, check out Trays calculator, his fire BTC calculator, punch in your information.
You don't have to tell us of course what it is. But next time you come back to the space, talk to us about it because I'm curious if it fits. If you've thought about it or you've done the math, if you are good because I do think lots of Bitcoiners, if they haven't reached that point, will be reaching that point where they just say, wait a minute, maybe I can live on my Bitcoin. And I just have to be okay with it nominally and Bitcoin going down, but because it becomes that much more powerful in future spending ability, it doesn't matter. The number of fraction of Bitcoin is less important than the value of the Bitcoin. I originally did my own math with well, that's what that's what scares me. That's why I think you should check out Trays. What a place scenario I did with an accent like that. Since then, since then, I have had, you know, we discovered mold in my house. So I'm paying a mortgage on my largest asset and I haven't set foot inside of my house in just over a year. I have had to use a ton of money to attorneys. I have two lawsuits going. Oh, geez. So that has completely disrupted everything. But
prayerfully, people are held accountable for their negligence and what they've done to myself and my daughter. And I'll be put back into better shape. But my Bitcoin journey started with a very nice life insurance policy for my husband. So I was in beautiful shape until, you know, life happened. So I'm being very frugal right now. And yeah, I'm in I'm litigious. Well, check out Trays calculator just because I am here. I'm I am curious if it's eye opening or I'm trying I'm trying to figure out how to pin it to the nest, but I'm too unbelievable. Don't to figure it out. If you go to my profile, how did this guy get hired like strike? I have no idea how to do it. It's like not obvious. Yeah. If you go to your it need it has to be posted on your own. Well, just hiring page. Yeah, it's my like, here, I'll do it. Hang on. So boom, I'm now at
your profile. First thing there. I'm going to click the share button scroll to the right Bitcoin today done there in the jumbo drown. Scroll to the right. Oh, unbelievable. I mean, that's totally great. He got hired him and he doesn't know how to scroll to the right. I just what is I see the quality of the guests. Thank you. Thank you for that. Yeah, I'm going to check that calculator out and it's probably going to make me go into a deep depression. It might, but it might be the opposite. You know, I think for a lot of people that I've sent to that site, it's the opposite. They're like wait a minute. I had no idea. And it's pretty cool. In mint tray, if you want to break it down in two minutes, otherwise, I will. He can tell you what it does in a nutshell. Well, the idea is to tell you how much Bitcoin you need or how much fiat you need relative to traditional financial independence, retire early numbers, which is starting with a 4% rule.
And then when you add in Bitcoin into the mix, you know, my position here is that you can have a higher withdrawal rate for that portion of the portfolio. And there's a bunch of different like toggles for, you know, what like growth rates you're assuming and all that, inflation rates, and that kind of thing. But you can capture all of the assets that you've got, all of the expenses that you've got, all the liabilities and it kind of summarizes everything and puts it onto a dashboard. It's all done in your browser. So there's nothing like being sent away from your computer. So you have some privacy benefits there. And then, you know, you can like track it historically and and that kind of thing. So I am not a very good designer. So you may notice it's like probably could be designed in a much better way from like a UX perspective. If you've got any tips or help on that, anybody who looks at it, please let me know. But there's only so much I can do with my
Clanker, you know, without a doubt. Tell, tell, tell, claw to, uh, tell, claw to design it like it works for Apple. And it's a foolproof strategy. Is that right? You, you have like a direct experience with that approach? I do. Yes. Pastor coin put me onto that method. And it, it has worked very well for me. All right. I may give it a shot. Yeah. That's my, that's my one piece of advice tray is to input to your AI, your favorite, I didn't say just say fix, fix the UI because the UI sucks. It's absolutely ridiculous. But the, but the big years are amazing. It's not just like the, it's not just like the design of it or like the colors and that, all of that stuff. It's also just like the layout, you know, it's the product of iteration thus far. And I, but I know it's like very suboptimal for what it potentially could be. I just, you know, either don't have the time or the skills to know what would be good. Yeah. And it's not that bad. And also, it's, it's actually pretty good. But Lindy and a
nutshell, what's cool about it is you just say, Hey, this is how much I spend per year. This is how much I make per year. And you could put literally zero. And here's all my assets, you know, including Bitcoin. And you can toggle between Bitcoin or just traditional finance, what you're saving in. And it tells you if you're, if you're good to go. Because a lot of people know in traditional finance, where trade originally came from, I think it was a Goldman Sachs or something like that. There's this, this 4% or 25% rule depending if you're on the income or expense side, where let's say you spend, you know, $100,000 a year in expenses just for easy numbers. Well, then at 2.5 million, you can retire. If you're, because that's taken out 4% a year. And hopefully, the way you're depending how you're saving, you can, you know, beat inflation and beat those expenses. Well, when you include Bitcoin, you get a bit of a Bitcoin kicker. And so his formula helps you see where you are. And then you can adjust that and say, Well, I want to spend more than 4% of my stack based on my age or less percent based on my age and whatnot. So the sliders are pretty
cool. I played around with it when he first brought it out into beta mode. And I was like, Oh, this is amazing. Bitcoiners would love this. So you should check that out, Lindy, especially for your situation. Absolutely. Well, thanks for sharing. Yeah. And then, Tray, for Lindy, you need to add a lever that says, I'm suing everybody I know. If I win these, how does that help me? I do need that lever. The wind, the windfall feature. Yeah. Let's have a moment of prayer for favor for me. I definitely need it. Hey, Lindy, unless you're doing something unique that I don't know about, I don't, I, in general, like authors don't depend on their books to be making them a ton of money. It's usually like a loss lead for something else. You know, it helps generate awareness for you to be selling something else or doing something else, whether you're consulting or teaching or educating or whatever. But maybe you have a different system or maybe children's books are different. I have no idea how those economics work. Children's books can be different. If I can get into schools and do school
readings, schools have budget despite the fact that they seem like they don't. And I worked with several mentors who have, you know, children's books who actually do quite well. You really need to have more than one to make an income off of it. Of course, when I started, when I, when I did this, it was kind of an accident. And then I saw that I had something so I couldn't like not do it like a profession. I did a 10,000 first offset print in China. So like I said, it's been a huge investment. But I believe in it. And I, I do think that, you know, I get some momentum and it will go, I'm going to be at the Midwest Midwest, a bit quaint conference with the book. I have no idea how many to bring. But, but yeah, most authors have to have like a collection before they earn a meaningful income. Just send, unless if you're far away from the conference, just send them to someone who lives nearby,
I have them bring them for you. I'm sending them to the warehouse and they're charging me $2 a pound. My book's almost a pound. I know. And that's how you, I don't know anyone. That's how you avoid it. To deal with boxes of books. Well, can't you just send it to the convention center? No, they get a whole process. Yeah, it's a pain. Could you send it to the hotel where you're staying? Well, you're not staying in a hotel. No, I am staying in a hotel and I did consider that, but I'm super concerned about the timing. Will they be there in time? I can't get them there too much in advance, because the hotel doesn't want to deal with books for a week. You know, so I'm just, I'm just, I'm going to use the warehouse and that way I can sleep at night and know they'll be there and just know that, you know, it'll eat into my profit. But it is what it is. Cost of doing business. I just take magnesium. I sleep fine at nine.
Gives me bad dreams. That never works for me. I noticed zero from magnesium. Are you doing magnesium glycinate? And are you taking enough? Are you snarling it? I was doing magnesium glycinate. I think I was taking enough. I upped the dosage after a while to try to see if that would help. I don't know, I don't have that much trouble sleeping, but I thought that it was supposed to be good, man. Yeah. Really give me some good benefits. I don't know. I don't know. I notice it. I take creatine every morning and if anybody else is on the creatine train. I'm down to like five grams. I don't know that I can tell the difference anymore. So I decreased my intake when everyone was saying to take. I know Mitch was a big creatine boy, but I don't know. You're just always, you're just already so like ripped and big. That's the thing. Yeah. People already have to butter the sides of my thighs just to get out the door. So is that the difference that you see when you first take creatine? I mean, what's the main benefit? Actually, it helps with, if you haven't slept well and humble told me this and I think
it's pretty accurate. If you have like a night of bad sleep, you, I think you take up to 20 grams the next day and it almost negates the entire loss of your sleep. Yeah, I don't know. I've been taking five grams a day for probably two years now. And I took it when I was like a teenager in high school when I was like, you know, playing sports and trying to actually get big and strong for that purpose. Now I just clearly didn't do it as a way to like help give me an extra boost. Keep my wife interested, you know, but yeah, you know, hey, Mitch, I don't know if Mitch is there. Yeah, I am here. I've actually, you know, I do all the other weird stuff. The meat and the weights and the ball, signing and opap tides, but I've, you're creating a bad love. What's that? You didn't go full breed love yet? Not quite. No, no, not there yet. I've only ever taken creatine and
like oscillating cycles where I'll be like, all right, I'm going to try it for real this time. And I'll take it for like three weeks and then I just kind of like forget about it. I took it for like two months one time and all that happened is I just like retained a bunch of water and it made it harder to do pull ups because I was like 10 pounds heavier. So I don't know. Maybe it's good. Maybe it's not. I have no experience. You have to like actually do the pull ups though. So that's the thing I do. And then it's just like, oh, they're way easier when I'm 185 pounds instead of of 195 pounds. So I found that like I have coffee every single morning and I just put it in my coffee. The zolls are really easy and you know, it's like sour as I keep doing that. No, it's not. Oh, okay. I don't think it is. You're just not drinking good coffee, I think. That is true. I do dilute my coffee way too much. Guys, I got to drop. Thank you for the conversation.
Thanks, man. Oh, man. Okay. Good. Yeah, we can start the conversation. Let's wait till the disappears. Yeah. Yeah. It's going to get good. Oh, man, it's going to get really good now. So good. I can't wait to listen. He's still here though. Back to pet beds. Oh, my God. I can't wait. Yeah. Now we get now we get the highest signal. All right. Go through pounds of that stuff. Yeah. It's like we have our headgears on and we're on the short bus. Headgears here. Yeah. No, I still see him in the audience. Great show everybody. I'm not going to say any more. Trays Gone. We wrap it up. Yeah. All right. So we give Gary Gary one more chance. He came up here at the beginning of the show and hasn't come off. That's your cue, Gary. Cardone. I am Gary Cardone. I am one of one. No, no. That thing's pulling him out of his perhaps lumber. All right. We got to show tonight, guys. More Bitcoin today tonight.
That's the show. He did some chance. We'll be honest. Yeah. I think what we should take that one theme you had, I think it was last week, we should bring over here sometime, which was the endgame. What are people's endgame with Bitcoin or what's the endgame with Bitcoin? I thought that was a really great question because it makes you have so many thoughts because whether it's Bitcoin or not, some people don't really have an endgame or should you have an endgame? Is the destination really all that it's cracked up to be is there more about the process? I listened in briefly and I was like, oh man, this is a great subject that maybe we should do one of these days, Lauren and Tiffany. Tomorrow, the endgame. That would be like the first show we've actually planned. Other than we didn't have to be planning. It's a good time. I mean, I'm starting now with the endgame tomorrow. Isn't that a plan? No, I'm just saying it could be a topic to throw in the hot. Like right now. Well, now people have time to think about it. Not at 10.07. No, we got to rock. Yeah, because people will tell their stories and why they're in Bitcoin when what their endgame is. I mean, so many people
are saving in Bitcoin and shipping goals, but some haven't even thought about them. That's true. Which is why I like trays calculator. It does help you think it gives you confidence. Like, like, oh, I'm going to retire someday. Well, but how can you confidently know when you really can and what does retirement mean? I used trays calculator and 10 months ago, I retired and now I'm eating ramen and white rice. I'm surprised you've ever used a calculator period. Well, it was trays. I didn't have to push any buttons. Well, all you have to do is divide by two for all your divorces, right? Yeah, divide your stuff by two. Yeah, and then there you go. Four times. See where that gets you. Yeah, you've had four. Thank you. You've had four having. Have you had as many havings as before? Four halvings. Yeah, and Bitcoin got something in common. Interesting. And is yours every four years about two? Every four years. It's a four-year cycle. No, so your cycle is now dead. Is it about every four years? Like, if you were to have a child. Well, I don't know. I'm no mathematician. We need Fred back in here to run those numbers. Yeah, it was just curious because I assume some of those were
in your younger years. The number of those. I'm just saying that we all made mistakes when we were younger. We're figuring out who we are. We've been doing jump into the best relationships. Right. Yeah. Like Mitch, I think Mitch is 19. He just got married, but I hope that lasts. I hope that's forever, but he's 19. He might say when he turns 20, he might be a different person already. Yeah. Well, nothing lasts forever. No. Speaking of end games. Yeah. I know. Sadly. Sorry. Too much. Too much. Lauren. She did the cry face. That's just reality. All right. It's time to close it down. Lauren. Let's do it. Yeah. I don't want to bring up a whole new topic. I have to go hang out with some Bitcoiners. We're going to go for a bike ride. We're going to plan our next meetup. So yeah, I get to go do that right after the space is over. Are you guys like on tandem bikes with short shorts? Lauren, are you doing Bitcoin beta this year? Oh, there have been no talk,
no plans, no anything. I think Terrence wants to do some sort of gathering, but there hasn't been any discussion of it. I think we'll all just organically show up and get together the day before. If it should face in town. Well, no, Lauren's talking about himself, but the rest of us will have nice conversations. Yeah. Yeah. To see each other. British would be there, but Larry Finkson going to be there. So he won't be there. I don't think. That would so. Yeah. Should we, like if you were walking out on the mic, the Jimmy Fallon show or whatever, that would be his play out music. The big big. Absolutely. Especially the big coups part. Everything. Big big big big big money big moves big boroughs big suits big big corn big poops big little goes big little goes big no big corn big poops big corn big poops big corn big poops
big balls big balls big suits big big corn big poops. Wow. Now it sounds like poops. It looks literally. There's no p at the end. It's just P O O H. Yeah. We need the poop. Should we let British have the mic for 37 seconds before we close this down. Close it down. Close it down. Close it down. Close it down. The mic's a B. Okay. It's just trying to be nice. It's like one o'clock and more. We're trying to be nice and it's just snapping at you. Man. No, I'm not snapping at you. We like the mic. You guys because you guys gotta go get drunk or something, right? No, Lauren don't. Don't serve bike ride. Yeah. Apparently on a tandem bike with shorts. He's gonna have a shirt wearing a pink bike. Got a pink bike over there. Me? Yeah, short shorts pink bike. Close. Polo wrap. Polo wrap. Polo's like for you. Yeah. He's gonna go buy some papusas with his dick. Orange. Orange glasses. Yeah. Papusas. Boat shoes. Oh, I love boat shoes. Yeah, we know the look. Top sideers. Is that what those were?
We know the look. It's fun when you get old and you don't really give a shit what anybody else thinks with all due respect and you can just wear whatever and be comfortable and just be like safe. We all do disrespect. I like it. It's all good. Whatever. Huh. No, I don't I'm try not to but I don't always succeed apparently lately as well. But that's a different story. We had a good space is earlier by the way. Yeah, how was that? It was good. Basically, I've come to the conclusion that the moment a space is launches now that has doom and gloom boomers leading the charge. I'm launching a space and we're gonna just basically suck out all the energy. All the bullishness is coming. Counter programming. Yeah, basically. And then I saw you guys load up. So I was all right. Now I can, you know, now I can bounce because they'll they'll keep things, you know, I can trust you guys to keep things on track. Yeah, we're optimistic over here. We love the car. Yeah, I don't like that. That's it. I don't mind being con question, whatever you want to question. You get bearish? No, no, no, no. No one here is bearish. No one here is bearish. Yeah, I don't mind. I don't like people being bearish on Bitcoin,
on America, or you know, on anything like it's time to be bullish on all fronts. So especially the good looking fronts, you know, and unfortunately all the bears have bad looking fronts, ugly fronts. So we're gonna rug them and that's what I'm gonna do. Anytime I see a space, if I go in there and it's and there's a hint of bearishness, it's over. Shit coins. Hey, British, can you, uh, can you text Larry and tell him to pump her bags again? I mean, you didn't like the 24% in August? I know. I loved it. I'm just I'm just agree. He's the alpha Mitchell. He's the out. This is what you should, this is what you should like think about, right? Why is it that the 10 year rate is pumping and Bitcoin's holding so strong? That's a really interesting question. I'll give you an answer. Tell us what's your perspective? Because there's a there's a banking crisis living, right? So the one thing we know about the thing, yeah, but this that's why we say the best and bazooka is
loading. No, there's something far more insidious. 9th of September. Beston's got $1 trillion in the TGA. After that, he's got to go to Congress to get money. So I don't think the best in bazooka is as big as you think it is. Right? And worse is it on the table. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know what you guys are doing in your group chat, but we're gonna pause on the left. Look, man, I think, you know, just recognize whether it's in Japan, whether it's in Europe, whether it's here in the United States, banks, institutions, insurance companies are sitting on a metric shitton of losses. Now, whether they realize those losses. You think they're from AI? Where do you think those losses are from? From buying bonds that's Zerp. Like remember, when you drop interest rates to zero, right? The consequence of doing that is that when interest rates go back up again, everybody who bought, you know, long dated bonds, 10-year, 20-year, 30-year bonds, when they were, you know, at $1,000 on the dollar, they're now 50 cents.
So look, you either can say, well, I'm holding them to maturity for the next 25 years, right? Or you say, I have losses. Now, the problem with the whole to maturity kind of concept is that in the end, a bank, when it gets, when you give the bank dollars, right, you deposit your dollars, those are essentially overnight loans to the bank. Yeah. Right? And if they go ahead and take those overnight dollars and they buy 20-year paper, then they have a duration mismatch. If that 20-year paper then drops in value by 50 cents on the dollar, they've got a problem. So that's where we stand. Like, it's not just banks, it's insurance companies, it's all kinds of institutions. Yeah, but the Fed would just create another BTFP program. They're not going to, of course, they would. They're going to let the bar against it at, at par maturity value instead of forcing them to dump bonds at a loss. But you're going to ruin dark sides, pantomime of America spending ending within 12 months. Okay, a couple of things about that. But let's just,
I'm not saying the Fed won't create facilities, they will, but they didn't bail out Silicon Valley bank, right? They, what happened? But when it's the system, it's slightly different. I agree with you, but again, remember, if this was just a US problem, then I'd be on board. But again, I don't think the US is the problem. I think Japan is the problem. I think it's an external threat. Yeah, I think it's Japan. I don't think it's Europe. So there's contagion, but you're saying is this external contagion risk for the US? Remember, all of these institutions are tied together, what really ends up dollars into ribbing the exposure? Yeah. So what that means is we need 17 different bazookas, not just one. And the beautiful thing about that is $340,000 Bitcoin very soon. You may be way low. I may be way, because Larry Fink, President Fink said, nobody should be surprised if Bitcoin is $700,000 a coin. So look, at the end of the day,
everything you're saying, yeah, we know, we know that there's a risk, we know that there's damage to sick, we know that's the whole point we're all invested in Bitcoin. We know, we already know this, the pantomime of America ending in 12 months, every 12 months. That's getting old. No, we got to know what that America is ending in 12 months. I'm pretty sure that's exactly what you said. No, what I said is America will not look like it looks today in 12 months. Yeah, but it's going to get better. You're going to have robo taxis. You know, your zins going to get delivered by drones in a year. The world is going to get better, dark side. We need you to start being positive, because I'm concerned about you. I'm genuinely worried. I'm building and operating a really cool business. I'm working my ass off, you know, for the first time in a long time, because I've been retired since 2019. So look, I'm, you know, bear markets will do that. No, I'm extremely bullish. It's just that
the risks of problems have grown exponentially. Dark, we understand. I just want you to focus on the solutions, not the problems, because I care about you. I don't want you to keel over, because you worried about like something you shouldn't worry about. I look at the war in the Ukraine. Right. One of the reasons why I voted for Trump was he told me he was going to end the war in the Ukraine. Right. And then we had Scott percent come out today. And he literally said today, he said, the Ukrainians are targeting the Russian oil refineries. Now, dark what use is there of you worrying about this sitting in Montana? Well, I'm in Vegas, but the risk of why I'm worried about it, especially in Montana, is because diesel is the base fuel for the entire cattle industry, for the entire entire agricultural industry. Like, you know, we can't really survive if diesel doubles from here.
We just can't. Right. Okay. So what do you want to do? Besides complaining about it and having me worried about your health, right? What else are you going to do? Welcome to your intervention. I'm going to talk about the song, guys. I'm going to talk about it. I will not be silent. Talk therapy. I didn't. Big spots. It's going to be. That's the solution. Be news. So it's big. Be gone. Be. Oops. And what happened? It's. Well, we got queued. We got queued out the situation now. I was listening. There's a conversation going on. That's that. That. The answer is not all of us collectively worried about dark side's health because he's storming around, you know, unlimited amounts of sins, just worrying about something that he can't control. Like that's that's not that's not what got intended for you dark side. Well, the most people worried about patriotic thing I can do is speak up with my government's
kind of stress. Yeah. No, but you're speaking up in like in like a black hole, right? Like, so then I should talk it all. No, I'm not saying you shouldn't talk at all. I don't know. But we also shouldn't. We also we also wait. This is what this is the thing we got to get to this point. Well, like you shouldn't be telling Mars that the world's going to end in a year. Like this is not good. I never said that. You're putting words in my mind. Mars is on the side of the question. Is your thesis that is your thesis that a rising interest rate environment is a kill shot to the global banking system? Is that really what you think it could be if it's on if it if it runs out of control? Of course it could be, but my my main thesis is that rising diesel prices are a threat to the rate the rate environment. Like that's the way you know that banks know how to manage fluctuating interest rates like all else given, right? Like Silicon Valley bank was the exception to to the norm. That's just not true. It is true.
No, it's not. Yeah, it's not. If it wasn't true, more would have had more would have gone. All right, we'll see. But clearly there are. The problem with Silicon Valley, the problem with Silicon Valley bank is they were experiencing large losses because of crypto investments. And then you had Peter Till who literally coordinated a run on their bank, which then forced them to tap their treasury holdings, which were held at a loss, which then the reason why. So you're like, right? So like you need something else other than the rising interest rate market to collapse the banking system. So remember Peter Till came out of one of Mario's spaces on a Friday and so get out of Silicon Valley bank. Exactly. So what if tomorrow or this Friday, he comes on a space and says get out of bank America. Then what happens? Right. So so my point is that rising interest rates are not a kill shot to the banking industry. That's very standard for them, right? The the free market, right? You can say it's it's controlled by the central bank and all that's true too. But you know, interest rates rise and they lower in the banking industry.
That's what they're in the business of doing managing interest rates, right? So like what else we need something else in the in the equation to cause a global contagion like that, something in the real estate market or in the derivatives, whatever it is. I don't I don't see it yet. I don't see it yet myself. But that's my point. Mars, are you with me when I say that I'm worried about dark? And I think you should be as well. Like instead of this, we just got to move on now. Dark, dark join us. We have fun on this side, bro. You got to come to come to the light side, you know? Good for your heart. I know that's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. Again, you guys, you're missing the point. And then we're starting to see a soft aside of dark side. Well, look, people like this. There's a lot of people on the stage that know me and know that I'm not this doom and gloom person.
I'm just a, I'm just a derivatives guy who understands risk. And when the, we've got to get, we've got to get the world seeing your light side, you know? Yeah, yeah. The happy dark. Kind of like, yeah, you know what I mean? No, look, I come on spaces all the time and tell jokes and laugh and have a great time with the community, right? Yeah, but we just sense an undertone of sadness, which we need to eradicate because we're a bit conscious. I'm not sad. It's concerned. It's concerned because I love my country and I don't want to see it going down. You're absolutely right. We are concerned about you. That's what I'm trying to say. Again, I love my country. I love America. And this place gives me the ability to stand up and criticize people when they're doing stupid shit. And our leaders are doing stupid shit all the time. This war being, this war being primary amongst them. And the one you can, I was just going to say, you know, Scott the said comes out this morning and says, well, the damn Ukrainians are targeting Russian oil infrastructure. As if the damn Ukrainians have any clue how to target anything deep inside Russia.
Like, who are you fooling? Like, the amount of gaslighting that's going on is so extreme. So extreme that we like, listen, fine. Like, okay, we know. I'm just free to say it, right? Like, everyone's done in the world. We know there's risks everywhere or we get it. What are you happy about? Let's talk about that. I love my family. I love this family. I see the Bitcoin community as another family. We get along really well. Right? You know, like even through the whole BIPL and 10 bullshit, we've gotten along really well. At least I have. I haven't made any enemies. That's awesome. So look at that. To me, love is the most important thing. Family is for me is the most important thing. A bunch of you in here have met my family. You know, I take it seriously. Like, you know, being a better father tomorrow than I was today.
Those are important things to me. So like, I mean, we get to hear and talk about, you know, love them and kindness and all that. I'm happy to do it. But when it comes to, you know, the, the financials of the globe, you know, I feel like I have domain expertise in the subject. I spent many years on trading desks and I like to share it. But let's be honest, like when you're just, all right, Trump taxes and trust. Those are the three words for today. Well, like, this is a good point, right? Like, if you're just yelling into the wind and screaming and larping on spaces, like you're doing nothing, like to be honest with you, right? Because like, you have no power. And so like, the only way you can literally fight back is to stop comply. And so when you're yelling into the wind, like, there's no, there's no force there. There's no power. You have no authority. You have no retribution with the current political state. Like, I think people need to come to terms with that. Like, you have no, no recourse with these people. Chey money, just understand. There's some of us that are not in a position to go on a tax strike.
Like, you know, if you, oh, then why are you complaining, though? I'm not complaining. I'm just saying, like, I'm not in the same position you are, where I could go on a tax strike. Dark. I sense the cortisol rising, dark. Let's just, let's just, let's just, let's just, let's just, let's just, let's, let's, let's make sure. We talk about problems all the time. We talk about our own assets. If you own assets and you don't pay taxes, they take your assets. It's very easy. It's very simple. You're paying taxes through inflation right now. Like, I believe in taxes. There's a more, I'm more pissed off about it than you are. Like, I constantly, what are you going to do about it? You know, that's the thing is, and you don't have, I'm not saying you. I know you think I'm talking into the win, but I don't. I think that we, in the UK, we call it pissing in the win, pissing against the win. Yeah, no, not talking. I think when I get up on these spaces, if I reach one person, and I'm able to orange pill them and get them into Bitcoin and self-custody, then that's a win. I go, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Here's why I have like a pushback with what I would classify as doomsame.
And you wouldn't, and that's not the point. But here's why I have a pushback against it is, when your thesis is to buy Bitcoin, the reason to buy Bitcoin is because everything is going to collapse. If that's how you teach people, that's what Bitcoin's value proposition is, is that it is a solution to the impending collapse of the economy. When that inevitably or with a higher degree of likelihood doesn't happen, this, and this happened, I've learned through experience this way, because I used to teach, I used to get people into Bitcoin, believing these sorts of things. To 24 or 36 months later, the world keeps churning, and the people that are holding Bitcoin, they're going, well, why am I holding Bitcoin then? You know, like this didn't happen. You know, I was listening to Namar saying that the world's going to collapse, and this is why I need to hold this shit, and you know, it's not coming. It's not coming. The world keeps churning. So like, I believe, let me finish with this. I believe in the debasement trade thesis of Bitcoin, that actually, the reason why you actually need Bitcoin is because the pernicious, pervasive
system that exists today will continue on. It will continue on. It will continue to steal and rob from you over time, solely, and that the reason to hold Bitcoin is because you cannot perform that. You cannot perform that sort of thing, so that the grind forward that is hurting so many Americans is actually going to continue on. That's what gets people to hold Bitcoin for the long term, is they know that it's a long-term play. They're not waiting for the gradually, then suddenly. The suddenly is not coming. It's not coming. We are not going to a million dollars overnight. We are not going to five million dollars overnight. We are not. We are grinding up, and we are going to outperform inflation. We're going to accumulate wealth. We are going to, we're going to escape inflation. We have optionality. We are investing in a superior monetary policy, which will reward us over time if we have conviction. That's my thesis. Not that the world's going to collapse. That makes me feel good. It makes me a more healthier person spiritually to believe that, instead of what Dark Side is focusing.
I'm not talking about Mars. That is my core thesis. My core thesis is that there are 100%. Yeah, no, but it's how you get there. It's how you meditate, not the fact that you meditate. That's basically what Mars is trying to say. I think we can also focus on what's actually improving. The mindset is wrong. Exactly. The positive. Yeah, it's don't ignore the macro-dume, but stop treating negative macro facts as the only facts worth discussing. There's just more to the Bitcoin story. What's being built and adopted? What is possible because Bitcoin exists? There is signal in both directions. I think that we can focus on. Bitcoin is a human story at the end of the day. It's a monetary network, but it's a human story. And Dark Side wants to focus on the darkest part of humanity. And I think what Mars is trying to say is, look, you can think about it. Instead of telling people that the world's going to end every 12 months,
then the world never ends. Then you end up like Peter Schaeff over time. Instead of that, tell people that the world's going to get better. And in order for that to happen, there's going to be debatement. And Bitcoin's going to be the best asset to hold in that environment. Yeah, and at some point, if there is a financial risk, then Bitcoin will come in handy. If you want to tell people to do 100% self-costal, do it. I don't know if it's problem with that. But I'm worried. I'm worried about the health of Dark Side, because he's such a doom and gloom boomer. And we've got to stop that. And the Zins. It's really the Zins plus the doom and gloom in. For fuck's sake. To give Dark Side credit, he didn't fall for any of that one 10. He's like a, he appreciates some or go up, or at least that's my interpretation of your messaging. Dark side is in the 10. He's just in the 10. He doesn't like admitting it. He's in the 10 with the ways that Bitcoin's going.
I'm gonna go up, baby. Dark side's the number go up guy. I have a coin. That's good. Shit coins. You guys gonna end this space anytime soon or? Yes, Lauren's gonna end it. But we've ended. Shit coins. We got all you guys back up here. So, and sorry, house. Shit coins. Join us tomorrow. We'll catch you tomorrow. Shit coins. Oh, Sam with coins. We'll just jumped up here. We'll catch you tomorrow. No, Lauren. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, it's our cue. Yeah. Now, I was loading up the bikes. I got the tandem going. I got the pink shorts on. All right. We're going to have some boat shoes. Oh, fucking care. Yeah. My, uh, my fellow Bitcoin, uh, homey pursuing freedom is here, waiting, listening to the rest of the space. So we can meet up with some other Bitcoiners. So I'm pretty excited about that. So yeah. Frank, we suggest you turn away now. How fun guys. You can take it.
We say we'll come to the bad house. Big, big corn. Big boobs. Big logo. Big moves. Big spots. Big checks. Big jets. Big flex. Whole rolls. And up. One big step. I can't remember if we know we're in town, but just as big as this. The government's a value of money. My whatever. Somebody told me freedom started. Yeah. I don't know. I'm just impressed. Okay. Listen up, don skis. Really happy. Shit coins. Shit coins. Shit coins. Bad house.
It'll screamarre mustache.
