Toronto Blue Jays crushed the New York Yankees 11-0 in spring training, Thursday afternoon

and to need in Florida.

Yankees left the Ryan Weathers took the tough loss, working three innings and allowing

seven runs on eight hits with five strikeouts and one walk.

Weathers showed some sharp breaking pitches early, but got tagged by soft infield hits

Blue Jays starter Cody Ponds dominated, retiring the first nine Yankees on just 36 pitches

with four strikeouts, then going five, and two-thirds innings total with only one hit

Yankees reliever Struggle 2, as Curven Castro and Cade Winquest gave up extra runs amid

wild pitches and homers, while the offense managed just a few infield singles from guys

like Ahmed Rosario and Yankeel Fernandez.

The Yankees head to Tampa Friday for 6.35 p.m. matchup against the Orioles with Luis

Gill on the mound for New York.
