Blue Jays Release 5 Minor League Players

Toronto Blue Jays made some roster moves this week, releasing five minor league players

as they shaped their future lineup.

The cuts include third baseman Damiano Palmajani, Rae handed pitchers, Dayi and Santos

and Beaubon's, Outfielder Jacob Wetzel and Catcher Nicholas, Dayshams.

These players reached various levels in the system, but none stood out as major league

material.

Palmajani and Santos both got to AA, while Bonds and Wetzel topped out at high A.

Dayshams had a short AA stint last year.

The team wants to focus development on other prospects, with more upside.

None of these guys showed enough promise to stick around, especially with Dayshams hitting

just .094 in his higher level games.

Now they are all free agents, looking for spots elsewhere.

A few might catch on with different organizations willing to take a chance.
