The Toronto Blue Jays trim their spring training roster on March 20th by sending four players

to minor league camp.

Those moves involve catcher CJ Stubbs, along with Outfielders, Johandrick Penengo and

RJ Shrek, plus Infielder Josh Kassovich.

Kassovich stands out as the team's second round pick from the 2022 MLB draft.

He impressed this spring with a 306 batting average, going 11 for 36 over 20 grapefruit

league games, including one home run, and five runs batted in.

Last season at Triple A Buffalo, his second year on Toronto's top farm club, Kassovich

struggled with a 172 average over 29 games.

An earlier back issue cut his play short back then too.

That lower back stress reaction from spring training, limited him to just 36 minor league

games overall last year, and he's working to bounce.
