The New York Metz signed shortstop Boba Shet to a three-year contract worth $126 million

this off-season.

Now, with opening day just around the corner, he's making a big switch to third base for

the first time in his career.

Meanwhile, Minnesota twins Infielder Royce Lewis offered some practical advice to help

with Shet adjust.

Lewis shared how he learned to handle the position after his own move.

He recommends cutting the distance to the ball by charging at a 45-degree angle rather than

straight on.

That approach shortens the hops for the ball and buys extra time on the longer throw to

first base.

Beshet has already noted some challenges, like getting used to the bigger glove at third

base compared to shortstop.

It might take time, but he's working through those subtle differences.

Things remain high for Beshet to shine at the plate for the mitts.

Last season, he hit 311 with 181 hits, 18 home runs, and 94 runs batted in.
