warning boys what's going on he's back red bigs talks football on the morning show david haw and jaret paiden had a chance to talk with bigsy this morning it is bigs and gave room eras right now right here on one o four three the score uh... red bigs is the most trusted voice and really thought maker i should say uh... in chicago football extremely well sourced and when he says it has uh... cement back is very careful with the way that he says it and glad that brad is back his dear friend uh... mike mulligan obviously is moved on in the radio station is moved on but uh... he's also very friendly with david haw and with jaret paiden so here's Brad bigs this morning with paiden and haw excuse me haw and paiden
i'll get it right i'll figure it out to do it's a developing situation you're good yeah yeah with paiden and them boys with haw and them ha and them here's bigsy on the kieler gordon's situation first of all and the social media video of kieler working out on grass warning boys what's going on so you've got it all you wrote the column kieler gordon is a man of mystery we saw him on a video on wednesday brad what's the status of kieler gordon what should we expect and what do you think about the way this all has gone down well when you see a social media video of the guy doing a little bit of a workout i wouldn't get terribly excited like some bears fans have uh... because i mean that video was like a half step off of the day shine love video for starters right like the head of helmet
you know that the text of that the fourth of the day it's in the front office for another team for a couple weeks occasionally on a variety of topics as we do and kieler's been one of the topics for a while and you know i sent the thing to him yesterday and as reply was nice back yard and so you know what bears fans would have reason to get optimistic about is if kieler gordon was in a bears uniform with a helmet on working out practice fields at house hall and and there quite a ways off from that right is on the is on the public so he can't he can't practice until at the very early this week three uh... he's not eligible to play in a game until at the very earliest after the first four uh... regular season games so i this entire spectrums wide open for kieler gordon he could
make a uh... healthy return and be a major contributor to the defense this season or he could never set foot on the field that's Brad big's couple of zingers there in the front half and then the entire spectrum that nobody knows exactly what to expect and when to expect it i lean towards the latter sadly that you'll never play another snapper the bears again i mean it's just this was just where where i lean from what i started to hear six weeks ago and was talking about right here on the score to where we are now there is a massive disconnect and you've got a organization frankly openly questioning the desire of a player and you know you know player is preparing to eventually talk about some sort of discrepancy and an injury recovery or rehabilitation it just it looks awfully awfully ugly for for a team that is hellbent on being transparent right we see it with ryan polls the moment he steps foot into the organization ben johnson obviously
telling him get his ass in a room and talk to him like that i don't want to hear kieler gordon or see him on a on twitter and then here ryan polls say whatever he's saying like get in a damn room figure that part out like the the talking via us is never the move ever and this organization is not built like that so for me it's you know the nate davis thing we should learn something from that go go grab him go put him in a room figure it out there should be very clear words coming out of house hall regarding kieler gordon but they really have a point which to me into my indicates that they have gotten into a room and they got nowhere that's what it indicates to me um here's Brad bigs talking about the rest of the bear's secondary the game-luis thing significant loss right because he was the most um expensive free agent addition the kind of gordon thing like they've been bracing for this since the spring right like he literally didn't do anything
on the field in the spring either so they had to know they were going to be in this kind of situation i'll say what i said a week or two ago two three weeks ago a undersold here is how jalen janson has looked this summer and did a salam talked about those improvements yesterday and and the reasons that they're excited about how he's looking you know if you're going to say uh what's the most important out of these three outside corner nickel or safety if you get an elite one it's it's an outside corner so jalen jansson's look good i think tyriek stevensson's had a had a decent summer uh but you got to be careful with him because what's the what are the coaches and everyone else involved told you about him all along it's it's a consistency issue with tyriek stevensson so can he carry it from uh you know today's the
yesterday was Wednesday can he carry it from Wednesday to Thursday can he carry it from week one to week two and so on um you're going to have some question marks but you take any defense in the league and you take the potential top nickel forum and you take their ice paid safety out of the equation and i think there's going to be reasons to have at least a level of concern as if your woods he ought to be able to fit in right yeah the guys got guys got what 120 uh starts across the league over the past nine seasons um is he going to be this guy that um was a ball hawk for you well he hasn't done that to this point in his career but i i think they can get steady play out of that's Brad bigs talking about the rest of the secondary i am super bummed about the loss of kobi brion and what it could have looked like with kobi brion dilland thinamann there together but i like the way that he kind of revalues the most important parts of the secondary
because i we had bought into the idea that the safeties are more important but then he's like oh yeah the cover corners the most important so if jaylin's a beast maybe things don't look as dire and you heard Dennis alan talking about jaylin johnson and he's seen him take a step in training camp and i think you guys you know obviously have a relationship with jaylin johnson and you know he is not the kind of guy to shy away from the smoke he wants it all he's not a guy to get paid and then fall back he's a guy wants to be at the forefront of this and this is an individual who didn't get a chance to contribute the way that he wanted to last year right coming in mid season after being hurt then all of a sudden working his way back in and real time and now he's like okay kobi brion's gone that's great that's nothing to do with me i'm a killer i'm the one that's gonna take care of business on this team and then you know you mentioned his name dilland thinamann tell me a first round pick that gets to just float by and there not be massive expectations placed on that individual if you are taken in the first round regardless of your position regardless who was signed next to you
to cuddle you and make you feel comfortable in your position cuddle the man's i'm just saying because dilland thinamann we need to be talking about him as though he's supposed to be a game record that is supposed to contribute at a high level because he is a first round pick it's not a i hope dilland thinamann's good no he's a first round pick that you went out and got and saw after because you wanted that person to be short up so he should be someone that contributes the same way that you want sam rostu that ex-ex-ex-ex-avian thomas that these individuals that you want the maligma hamid that you want them to step up for to the moment dilland thinamann better do the same damn thing he better be a guy that is contributing at an extremely high level to this defense to play alongside jaylen johnson and at a motivated a guy who was in the contract year tyrick stevenson you know i'm looking at the top ten corners as ranked by espn and jeremy fallor in july you know how they do that like voters yeah and it's and it's all different voters more than seventy voters and they were you know research and film study based in like and and executives coaches and scouts
top ten cornerbacks in the NFL you ready patrick sir tan they're going 10 to one or one wanted 10 okay patrick sir tan daryx stingley christian gonzalez devon with her spoon trent Mcduffie quinion Mitchell denzel ward j c horn sauce gardener kuperd john or de jane i don't think i heard you say you sure didn't honorable mention camarie last year johie porter jr a j torell and jaylen johnson so that's like fourteen is that fourteen than the NFL for that guy if i'm him i'm pissed and if he's healthy and he's a hell of a lot better than that it changes the possibilities of what you can do is a deep i'm sure there's a bit of recency bias there where you know he didn't necessarily have the greatest season last year so you can't necessarily propel him yeah into the top ten but he bet don't don't as in your expectation for jaylen johnson to be a top ten cornerback this year and a hundred percent hundred percent absolutely and if he's healthy and he is then then it changes things but it's just interesting that he wasn't even put there like it's gabar mirror as in me mad
