Brain Repair — Black Wall Street, Generational Trauma & Why the Most Dangerous Thing in America Is a Black Man With a Plan | Astrology Ride of the Day
About this episode
Mental Reset brings the history lesson. Black Wall Street — Greenwood District, Tulsa Oklahoma, 1921. The wealthiest Black community in American history. 35 city blocks of Black-owned businesses, hospitals, law firms, newspapers, hotels, movie theaters, and a school system that produced doctors and lawyers. Built in less than 20 years after Reconstruction by people who had nothing. Destroyed in 16 hours by a mob and the Oklahoma National Guard dropping incendiary devices from planes. 300 people killed. 10,000 left homeless. 1,256 homes burned. Insurance claims denied. No reparations. No criminal convictions. Buried in the history books for decades. The conversation moves into generational trauma — not as an excuse but as an explanation for the patterns that run in families who never processed what happened to them and never got justice for it. Why the most dangerous thing in America is a Black man with a plan and a community backing him up. The 1921 Tulsa race massacre as an astrological event with transits that confirm the timing was deliberate and calculated. Trust but verify. Know thyself. Balance your energy.
Takeaways
- Black Wall Street was not a myth or an exaggeration — the Greenwood District of Tulsa Oklahoma was a fully functioning self-sufficient economy built in under 20 years by people one generation removed from enslavement, proving that the material conditions of Black poverty in America are a result of deliberate destruction and policy rather than cultural deficiency.
- The 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre was not a riot — it was a coordinated attack using the Oklahoma National Guard and private aircraft dropping incendiary devices on civilian neighborhoods, making it the first aerial bombing of an American city by its own government, a fact that was suppressed in history books for decades.
- Generational trauma is not an excuse but a biological and psychological explanation — unprocessed terror, grief, and survival responses get encoded in the nervous system and passed down through epigenetic inheritance, meaning the behavioral patterns in families who experienced collective trauma are not character flaws but unhealed wounds running without a diagnosis.
- The most threatening combination to systems built on racial hierarchy has historically been Black economic self-sufficiency, Black community solidarity, and Black intellectual development operating simultaneously — which is why every successful Black community-building effort in American history has been met with coordinated legal, financial, or physical destruction rather than allowed to compound.
- Knowing this history is not about staying in the wound but about understanding the actual root cause of present conditions — you cannot heal what you refuse to name, and the generational pattern only breaks when the truth of what happened gets acknowledged, processed, and deliberately interrupted rather than passed down one more time.

Quick heads up. I do four chart readings at iamestrologyreadies.com if you want to go deeper. All right, let's get to it. Thank you for joining us for episode six. Looking in the mirror. What's up Mr. Refiki? What's up Mr. Mental? How you doing? I'm doing great. I'm doing great. How about you, sir? I'm doing wonderful. How about yourself, Refiki? I'm doing good. I can't complain. Well, let's jump in today's topic and before we I let you begin, Refiki, I did want to read something. Go ahead. I've been a victim of selfish kind of love. It's time that I realized that there are some with no home, with not a nickel to long. Could it be
really me pretending that they're not alone? A willow deeply scared somebody's broken heart and a washed out dream. They follow the pattern of the wind. You see? Because they got no place to be. That's why I'm starting with me. I'm starting with the man in the mirror. I'm asking him to change his ways and no message could ever be been any clearer if you want to make the world a better place. Take a look at yourself then make the change. Do you know where that came from? I don't know where exactly it came from but that was a very good powerful message right there. Michael Jackson, the great Michael Jackson, RIP Mike. That came straight from his song, Man in the Mirror.
I knew you said that but we'll get into that later. All right. So which is our topic of today? Looking in the mirror. Take it away Mr. Refiki. I just want to start off with this right here. A lot of people can't look themselves in the mirror. And the reason why they can't look themselves in the mirror is because they're afraid or they're ashamed of what they see. They're afraid to go within and that's the reason why they struggle looking into the mirror. The reason why I actually chose this topic is because that's what I'm going through right now. I'm basically in that stage of finding who I am trying to speak to my inner self. Heal my inner self. And a lot of people don't understand that that's where it's at. You know they want to judge the world but they don't want to judge their self.
And I think that's what people need to start doing. Said a judge and other people by what they see because you don't know truly what that other person may or may not be going through. So change does start with self. That's where it starts at. And we have to get to the state to where we can actually look into the mirror. I'm not talking about looking in the mirror. Just brush your hair. Put on your makeup. I ain't talking about that. I'm talking about truly looking into that mirror. It's seeing what you see. Look at them deep scars. Speak to those deep scars. Speak to those who heal yourself. Well what what made you want to look at the mirror? Because I was that
happy with myself and I realized that. I got yeah I'll go to the mirror. I fix myself up or whatever get out out of there. But here lately I've been going to that mirror and actually talking to myself. Wait you talk to yourself? Yeah I talk to myself. All right I hear other voices but there's other voices to me as my ancestors speaking back to me. Their encouragement. Mental. Do you think it's important for somebody to be able to do this? I think it is. I think it's very important for everyone to do this. How so why so why? Um many reasons. Um it's a part of it's a part of of of knowing who you really are. What what you are
right? That self self worth that you're finding out you know that that is it is it is it so so so the why should somebody look in the mirror learn to look in the mirror is what knowing they're self except in who they are no matter what they look like on the outside right because our outsiders just basically are are shell and also you say it also healing I think that's not I think that's a big I think that is one of the big key factors of why it's important to look in the mirror to heal. So I have down here as a question what is somebody looking in the mirror for and so
you to answer to that question would be they're looking for self. Getting to know who they are basically you know looking for self looking to solve problems. The reason why I say it's about looking for at yourself is because we're a program that a young age a certain way. We're taught in program not to go with Ian to deal with our emotion. And that's where a lot of people get stuck at is they go to tell their story but they fail to realize that they are attached with the emotions because they never dealt with the emotions they never sat there and and basically it ties in with sitting in silence a lot of people can't
sit in silence they struggle with that. That's could be another topic another episode on this same subject. All right. Um two words as I was listening you know two words stood out to me but I'll come back to it. The Revealing. You had a conversation with a couple of people about this topic right. Yes I did. When asking this question for the most part what was people's initial response as what do you think? I was actually shocked because it was basically even first there was a yes to no question and I asked other questions on top of the yes to no question. A lot of them answered yes. So a half answered yes and half answered no. Now here's another question now. You said
on the further review you started asking more questions and as you started asking more questions what ended up happening? After all that at the end they all asked me my point of view. Well well did you find that someone who quickly shouted yes I could look in the mirror under more questioning did their answer kind of shift? Some did and some didn't. All right the ones that did shifted what should have been you know that. When I asked the line of questions and that I did because each one of them I asked in different questions it wasn't the same question over and over it was different questions and the reason why I did it that way there because for me if you answer it real quickly real fast yes I can to me you didn't really sit there and think about because a lot of them would say well of course I'm looking to me and do the simple fact that you know I got to put my makeup on or I got to do my hair or I got to wash my face you know I was getting
some answers like that at first until I got into it deeper with like a couple questions I would ask them well what do you tell yourself when you're looking into the mirror what do you see who are you I don't even ask that question and that's what made them started to think in and it boils down to that you can't actually judge a book by its cover we're technically books we are shall is our outside of periods but a lot of people don't know the inside we might be able to put a smile on our face although we're in pain we might be able to put a front on although we're in a deep state of depression and that's where people need to actually
understand where this topic was actually going in the first place because I did ask quite a few friends of mine it's question so I got a question Rafiki out of out of the people that you interviewed and the one that quickly responded with yes what percentage of those yes answers after further questioning did you find out that they could not look themselves in the mirror if there were any there was one or two that I picked up on that you know what what it boiled down to it final answer was no they could they really couldn't do it because they said well that's that's hard well in our actuality logically speaking mental someone who can't look theyself in the mirror should we expect them to say no I can't look myself in the mirror because
in our actuality not being able to look yourself in the mirror ain't that actually hiding from yourself yeah oh yeah so I guess one and could logically put together that hey if you can look in the mirror I can't expect the straight answer from you if they're they lie to me if they said yes and then after pushback and you know in further push their answer ends up turning no like Rafiki said they responded too quickly but I would I would have a a a bit more respect or trust for the person that told me no from the job and Rafiki what my comment just went to that one question I'm not talking about as a whole not true right right right okay you know not as a whole so all you all think I'm talking
about in general nah I'm just talking about to that one question you know I'm saying mm-hmm hey hey can you look yourself in the mirror yeah and then after three questions your answers no well see like I said the ones that did they said what because I got to do this like put makeup on I got to get ready for work things like that so that's one that's what made me from the very beginning start asking people questions so wait now here's a question for you that person that responded to you that way and yeah well yeah I got to put my makeup on do you think they didn't understand your question or that was just their answer I think they and wait wait wait wait hold up think about it if they truly understood your question and that was their answer it well yeah I
got to put makeup on did they truly can they really look in the mirror because if they understood what you was coming from that wouldn't have been their answer exactly so what's so but wait wait wait wait but there's a butt to that right so it could be that they understood it and didn't want to answer but then what if they didn't understand you your question and that was their answer then what can I draw from that so let me get this so I know that I'm understanding it so you're asking me when I asked the question to the people and they answered yes because they got to you know they got to put their makeup on and things like that yeah and I stopped them and said no no no no and then I broke it down so when I was doing this experiment when the ones that would say yes because they had to look
I said well you didn't understand the question so I had to break it down but some of them to me when I done the further question and they was actually they probably knew and understood what I was talking about but they was deflected that's what I was that's what I was getting that that's where I was going I didn't want to work on cell and trust me people I know it's hard to look in the mirror and I'm gonna tell you first one to admit it hey by the way we we just talking about the subject judge right right but then again y'all if y'all been in my lie before and all that y'all know me y'all know how I feel about judgment I ain't got no problems with it I think I matter fat to be true for y'all with y'all some of y'all need to use your judgment more because just by
watching you you ain't using it oh anyway I got that send a hate mail towards Paul not me hey I am a strategy reasons that gmail that time we could talk about judgment if you want to now getting back to this looking in the mirror so so what what can one benefit from looking in the mirror what can one look benefit from it yeah they can benefit learning how to self-love start loving their self more they can start uh be able to get past the scars of if they're overweight that they don't look at the weight no more they can work past that they can work past their trauma by doing so by looking into the mirror have a conversation with yourself
because believe it or not I do feel that people need to start doing this because like we said at beginning it's dead that's no feeling is best let me ask you a question or a freak now when you say looking in the mirror are you talking about uh put your birthday suit on and turn around and take a look at your ass and no no no no no no no no no what are you talking about truly looking at at that mirror directly into your own soul where's that at your eyes are your pillars to yourself yeah you know watch with somebody looking at eyes because it's it's i'm gonna be honest if you if you if you do it and you start tearing up let them flow let them emotions come out that was build up emotions that you
have kept in too long that needs to come out it's okay to cry it's okay to look at yourself it's okay to love on yourself if you got to tell yourself you know what Rafiki I love you you know what Rafiki you're a good man you know what Rafiki you are better than what you've been doing you need to work on this repeat you need to work on that repeat stop being this repeat stop doing that tell your things like that literally have a full conversation because what to me when you're looking in that mirror and you're truly looking at yourself and you're truly talking with your soul your soul notes because they actually communicate backwards your soul notes it's been and here recently where i've been doing this
i've been able to show my emotions man Rafiki mental have you ever heard this thing before so take a good look at my face you'll see my smile looks out of place if you look closer it's easy to trace the tracks of my tears no i haven't heard that before i haven't heard that i haven't heard that exact one but i've heard other similar to it shout out to the great smoky rovers and tracks of my tears do you think we have a lot of people out here walking around with smiles out of place most definitely then you got some that don't show no no smile won't show no tear won't show no no emotion whatsoever
they become numb do you think that maybe why people are afraid or scared to or refuse to look in the mirror because they don't want to see a smile that's out of place and uh traces of tears i'll say you're between that and not wanting to reopen those wounds i agree with mental on that but i want to take a little bit first go ahead see people want to push and hide that trauma or them wounds that don't want to revisit them because it's painful i understand that it might be painful but if you do it and you actually revisit and you talk to it and you tell that wound that scar that it's okay it wasn't your fault it wasn't you know
because a lot of people want to play the blame game and that's why we have those blockages to where we can't look ourselves in the mirror the blame game yeah they they want to put blame on people and say well it's your fault that that's the reason why it happened it's your fault that whatever you know whatever bad happened at that particular time well it's your fault you shouldn't have done that they want to blame you but they don't but they don't want to realize that they might have been the cause so wait we're feaky are you trying to say right now that the reason people don't want to look in the mirror is because when they looking in the mirror body itself in the bathroom they can't blame nobody but the person in the mirror exactly what i'm saying exactly what i'm saying they want to blame other people and that's reason why they can't heal they don't want to accept that they might have
been wrong they don't want to accept that they might have been even though it's been told to them they don't want to accept that answer they want to deflect it to say no and they want to start blushing out blaming other people well it's a reason why sometimes you might be pointing at somebody you still got three fingers pointing right back at you no matter what finger you use you still got three point right back at you nice try mental nice try so so and all actuality mr. refiki what i just heard you you want to hear what my simple version of what i just heard you say oh head in other words y'all refiki just said you dot you guys don't want to look in the mirror because you don't want to be accountable for your action i wish that was louder on the podcast i mean you said it man i didn't say it and that y'all can send you a hate mail to
print why i done that because it's true they don't want to be accountable they don't want to hold their their selves accountable for their actions or wait or refiki non action true we could not how could somebody was an example of somebody not being able to look at one looking in mirror because of non action can you think of an example mental after time for the head i can't because i you know well hey i you want me to help you and everybody out of here and listening man it's easy this question will be easy for everybody who hears me to answer when you hear the question
when it comes to why you don't want to look in the mirror because of non action all you have to do is ask yourself do you have anything anything you ever wonder what if you're what if question that you have sitting in your heart you have that because of non action what do i mean what if i would have did this what if i would have did that what if i would have insert your what if not guess what everybody you gotta take that shit to the grave with you for the most part true true hey because that's an answer you will never be able to answer what if what if when that at my ex asked me for my phone number i would have kept on walking
what if what if what if what if what if what if what if i would have left this person at this certain amount of time oh let's take it off relationships what if i would have buckled down in school and did my work and I skipped out hey let's take it to sports what if i would have went to the gym and worked out and actually did what i had to do to where would i be what i have got that college scholarship would i be in the NFL or NBA or whatever but now you're 37 you gotta take that to the grave with your chief it's always the what ifs and that's why you don't want to look in the mirror because of non-action so true now here's the question which one is harder non-action not being able to look
out in the mirror because of non-action or because of knowing in acceptance i think they both from my opinion i think they both are hard yeah i agree with you pick one mr. leber get off the fence what how about you let's let the leber think about that for a minute mental which one which one you think is harder to take to the grave i'll accept it knowing in acceptance yeah um because you know if you you could always if if nothing bad turned out you if you like okay well you know what if i were to do it this or what if i were to do that you know you look at the the time period you're like well i still turned out good you know no no harm no foul but you know accepting that you just or not just but you did some heinous bullshit and you trying to you
trying to you know you trying to you know make make shit right right you feel you know like like maybe if it was like a physical injury that really fucks somebody else up you know don't drop it for instance all right you know you're drinking air too many that shit happened you could kill somebody if we are 10 years later you're still thinking about that shit you know you know you know accepting it is it's done you know you you you trying to write your wrongs you know i think i think accepting is harder than just wondering about a what if see now you just gave the prime examples reason why i said both was hard usually a prime example because you could accept that but you're still going to go to your grave with that what if
question what if i didn't drink what if i didn't do drugs what if i didn't do that and that person wanting to die what if what if so you can we can put that question we can insert that question for anything though i mean really but but what i'm saying is you know i meant to you know i like to take devil's advocate play devil's advocate so can i turn around and ask you mental do you think that's the problem with the with society people don't ask themselves what if before an action i mean that's that's that's one of the problems how could that that could be one of the problems yeah think about it hey a lot of action is done and and a lot of people don't think of the consequences yeah just said actions but when i didn't use these words these words came
out of y'all knowing and acceptance but when y'all said that word i didn't the way you used the just now mental that's not how i was thinking but you know that's what i'm saying mental gave a prime example of how that could be two ways no i'm just saying i'm saying that just that word acceptance he was saying acceptance of hey i i drank i killed somebody now i got to sit here and do 10 years i got to accept my consequences for that said action that's not what that's not when y'all was using that word that's not how i was thinking y'all was using it my mind was a little different from how he just used it right when you said when you said y'all was saying acceptance how you think i'm how you was thinking what's that word bringing you well when i when when that word was brought up or sceptics mine was more along the line of
of accepting yourself for everything that you have ever bad or good except in all of yourself is where i was taking accepting everything about every aspect of who you are because there's a saying out there and the saying goes everything that happens to you i don't forgot to say it happens for you yeah everything that happens to you is actually for you not against you so when y'all was using the word hey us acceptance my mind went to hey um y'all know how i always sign up know that self and balance your energy so y'all said knowing and acceptance so my mind went to knowing who you really are and accept and then
shit forward and what got me by that it goes back to hey understand your program get off the programming really know who you are and accept yourself for that and and the reason hey could some then my mind went to hey the reason some people can't look they self in a mirror is because they know that's not them that they twisting themselves into a pretzel to try to be accepted by others but here's the thing about it is you like how i eat like how i went there with that i don't repeat hey think about it why should we accept what people say about us why should we accept that we we shouldn't but that's the programming that's how that's how the matrix is set up you got to accept the things that you've done you got to accept you you got to learn to accept
your self okay okay repeat what do what do i mean by that i'll give you an example what if you are born to a family of athletes and you don't like sports you're good at and you're actually good at it if you go outside and play but normally actually you want to be an actress or actor do someone know themselves that much and accept themselves that much to look at their family and say hey even though i can go out here and dominate these people on this court i ain't doing that shit i'm gonna see some can do some can't do that yeah and see and that would go that would go towards the wanting to be accepted by others there you go so and and and if you i mean for one your parents or
and your your family have to accept that that's not what you want to do yeah but that uh well i hear y'all but as you look out in this matrix what do y'all see yeah that's happening yeah yeah what do you see what do you see you say it that the people will let's they're flowing spot their family because they're program they don't they can't think under own is that is that why did i ask the question is that why some people struggle to look at the mirror very well possible what's that you meant i think it's possible i don't think it's just you know well i mean i'm pretty sure y'all don't y'all don't either um there's not one reason why anybody look at you know there's multiple reasons okay bring up another one oh shit
oh well it was just you know i'm just bringing up examples bruh okay yeah feel free to exert insert your example why somebody could we we we need them on enough hey we need to beat them up enough let's go this one wait wait wait wait i didn't want to put this in there i'm gonna read a couple of these all right go ahead oh okay so and reason why i'm doing this is because newsflash everybody stay tuned as we part two and three to this all right so refiki is about to read a random response that he asked some people and randomly picked one and read it out refiki why you refiki asked somebody hey can you look in a mirror and this was the response so this individual responded yet and then i asked the other couple other questions i can't remember the question i asked this particular person
and they said i can myself for the perfectly imperfect imperfection that i am and then they also said uh they look back to see what actually came from when they looking into the mirror so that was a short sweet simple one to wait wait wait wait stay right there did you say i could look at my i look at myself in the mirror for the perfectly imperfect imperfections that i am what you think about that man maybe they're looking they're there they are actually looking for the good and the bad and that's what kind of what i'm getting from it yeah i'm glad you said because hey i get a rap i get here but that's why i asked you first mental
but i'm looking for the perfectly imperfection that that kind of gave me the kind of gave me sort of a negative kind of tone like hey i'm pointing out on my flaws and then trying to love those flaws but in our actuality i don't think it's anything wait wait wait wait okay it i'll actually wild it see would you actually be noticing them as flaws if you was really truly accepting it well see i kind of look at this right here when i hear the words perfectly imperfect i'm looking at that that they are accepting who they are through all
all aspects because if you remember correctly at the beginning that's that's what this is about healing they're accepting all aspects of who they are your your famous quote know that self balance i had it so so me that's someone that's that is knowing who they are okay okay but we're feaky i got i got two skinted up elbows and some knees that got the skinted up about playing football and then being a running bat when i look in the mirror that shit don't even come to my conscience and say oh hey your elbows are imperfect but love them anyway because you got scarred up playing football we don't know what that individual is actually i don't know i'm just i'm just thinking logically not i'm just thinking about the dance right understandable you do people this is another thing there there is a there is an underlying message to to sentences
and and thought man could could that possibly be like a cop out to not wanting to do work because because one you know you know going back going back to you know being programmed into this program right we was told that we are not perched right you know we we were told that they you'll never be perfect there's only one perfect being and you're not right so so if that if that's already in my subconscious that that i don't that i'm i'm not perfect and i'm accepting my imperfections you know i mean i mean i just think that's a cop out because you know you should always try to be better if you see that then you got some flaws or some imperfections
and if it's not fucking some some scars that you just can't make go away but on some emotional stuff like hey this is how i am people got to deal with it like like no no you you should you should work on some shit damn mental i didn't i wasn't there with it but i could see what you saying with that too hey this part of me is imperfect and i'mma just loving instead of working on it yeah hmm out we i didn't oh wow that didn't say like oh anyway refiki hang on one second doing at a doing at a uh we got me and me and mental take this part so this is individual
hey y'all what the opinions with that was just expressed belong to me and mental uh refiki that had nothing to do or refiki's opinion on it that was a no person that that that comic came from just the comic itself yes the comic itself not you person so this one here i didn't want to do this one just yet but since you brought something out and you'll see why i chose this one to do so this this person they couldn't tell me live you know i'm a live stream so they i allowed them to privately send it to when i was proposed a question can i truly look into the mirror i'm still trying to figure that out because every time i look i'm being reminded of my pain heartbreak
also the people that have left may be hind i'm being reminded looking in the mirror that i love and i have lost i can't look because my heart hurts too much looking at the heaviness i carry on my back i hate my reflection then i remember and i look and i see my father's eyes my mom smiled and i am reminded that i am made of love and through the gods and through god's eyes i am not alone and i'm not forgotten if i can take anything from this it's to not allow the weight of the world to get you to lose yourself sometimes you need to take a step back before you sink or swim or feel the waters a little bit simply learn to let go and the laws of god in the universe
won't leave you behind i promise you i have been through some heavy stuff that i thought would break me with trust i had to lose in order to figure out what i don't see is that i am strong confident woman i have grown astral nomically or that i can look in the mirror and say this whole time i was not lost i just need to actually look in the mirror and realize my co-jaxon was right as it starts with the man in the mirror mental you have any response no that sounds like a person that truly is in the process of looking in the mirror and and healing from the shit well it's uh uh i could i could have a long answer i could have a short answer which one you want or if you can whatever one you want to do whatever one i just asked you i just asked you leave or pick
you know what i'm gonna be difficult what it wouldn't be refake if i was give us both give us a long version then give us the short version short version is refeaky um one of one of the things that you talk about a lot that people need to do and from the beginning of what that person said it it seems like they haven't done it which is shadow work that's the short answer no she says see see huh no she said the word see seem to me maybe they have and maybe they have well you're assuming that the person did but when you when you go down a little bit further you can see that the person actually starting to do i'm just saying what do i hear what do i hear starting and completing are two different things and what does Paul say here hey somebody
needs to do some shadow work why now i could tell you to why if you want that would be the long answer black this year because because if you if you if you look go back to the beginning of it the reasons why they struggle hey we're reminding them of scars of stories store what i hear but but but do you know what i actually hear out of this one right here wait wait no we're feaky let me finish first okay i'll ship you said you said you wanted to long this is why i said hey which one you want to short it alone i'm giving you the long and i hear it's a long if you go back to the beginning of it talks about hey i struggle because of this this this and this these are aspects of stories that i hear and i know hey if somebody does the shadow work what's at the end of shadow work or feaky what do
i know that's at the end of the shadow work hey you will be able to look in the mirror and face that shit because you will after doing the shadow work you will see reasons that you had to go through some of that shit and not only that you will start falling in love with your story now hey if you can't look in the mirror because of your story hey you got some work to do because your story is a beautiful story that you need to fall in love with it's not a story yet that you went through some stuff and all of that but it's a beautiful story if you do the work it truly change hey here's another thing i wrote down she said she said something that i said in the episode of iamstrideredans change i forgot the episode number went too long ago sometimes i said is it you remember this question if you heard the
is it best to take one step back to go two steps forward didn't that person mention that and what you read something similar to it but not exactly hey you know i ain't i know i know it's a thing i know it's a thing that they was hinting at hey taking a step back is actually stepping back and looking at the shadow stuff and not only doing the shadow work and all that coming to acceptance and then and then the knowing knowing this this person was actually saying no they can't look themselves and they were given the reasons why they put yeah and i'm giving the reasons what i hear why why here they can because because the shadow work some of the shadow work they can say that i can be
talking about yeah but but it goes back to graffiti it goes back to hey people don't realize how much there's underlining meanings to sentences and things that they say that people can extract from that yeah that's what she said but what did i hear what did i hear true so that that that was a lot that was a lot right like it was heavy right um it took it took it took a lot for her to write like for for her to to to to see the reasons why why she can't look in the mirror you know that's that that that right there that's looking in the mirror right there automatically to me that's why i'm glad you said that that's why you said she's she's in the process of it
yeah right yeah i didn't i didn't say she wasn't i said this is what i hear the reason why i'm glad you said that mental because sometimes writing down reasons why you can't do things is actually another form of looking yourself in the mirror see we don't have to physically actually look actually which i'm going to talk about this on the next the next episode but i'm going to give a little small sample sometimes we don't have to look in the actual physical mirror actually looking at in the mirror because my question that i proposed was can you truly look yourself in the mirror so would that be in said i feel this person here answered the question
for the things that i was actually looking for how correct the reason they truly do why i said the reason why i say this is due to the civil fact that this is just not me asking questions this is also to help myself and others that can't truly look yourself in the mirror aka writing things down aka doing other things by pampering yourself by loving myself so you're looking in the mirror is just to begin in stages of this we're going to go into a deeper in the next two episodes all right yeah all right now we're thinking would you let me to give you an example of looking in the mirror but not physically looking at your own reflection in the mirror you want me to tell you how somebody saved that one for the next one
it's good save it for the next one i mean you're i mean you're over here enticing me but that's okay save it for the next no i'm going to win it we're thinking because it involves you how it involves you it involves you let's go with it the court hey hey i'm calling the huddle now you don't want to just brought it up you brought it up and you teasing and now i'm gonna give my tees now refiki here's a way somebody can look in the mirror but not actually physically look at the mirror in the bathroom before we start a recording refiki did you look in the mirror with a conversation with me hmm did i give you a reflection of you in the mirror without you physically looking in the mirror
so true so true by the way what i did to refiki is the same thing was was my response to said last answer and what are the one of the things that you told me refiki is you keep asking people what for what they're straight what critique yeah critiques yes and what did you say when when you say man i keep asking people for they straight critique but but what i don't get it and and then what else did you say i really want to what i want to hear then the reason why i want to hear the critiques uh-huh by other people because that's helping me to grow and expand and heal oh so so refiki do you think uh
did so did i do that with that last answer hey she presented herself away in the mirror and then i just responded with how i see in the reflection of somebody who needs to do shadow work but i'm not judging if they in the middle where they at i can't hear where they at on that scale of doing the shadow work but i i can hear that it needs to be done and if that person has begun congratulations it's it's it's a hard a hard journey but um and all actuality from somebody who been through the been through the been through it you know uh
the end there's a party at the end let's just say it's something waiting for you at the end so uh i hope you succeed congratulations on beginning you know uh but i'm i'm i'm from saying Lewis show me i don't tell me show me i believe you then you know i'll be saying refiki i'm a big skeptic cross but verify i'm trusting that you're not thought it's your shadow work now i need to verify that i'm not gonna judge it i'll verify it by watching your ad but seeing if you true to what you say you know that type stuff well again like you mentioned it and i spoke on it yes i'm looking for those
critiques i'm looking for you know the tough love because again like i said that helps you grow hmm well mr well what do you do the hard hard truth about things that you might not see and not realize uh huh it actually helps you now i'm going to the right person now mr mentor why is it why do people struggle with the hard truth telling and receiving when it comes to receiving it they don't they don't want to hear where what they may have dropped the ball at you know nobody wants to hear anything bad about themselves you know um no matter what you can then search your own situation whether be romantic
relationship or relationship with the homies you know whoever um telling the truth it may be hard because you don't it could be many reasons um one reason that i'll see uh you don't you know how this person would respond they may wait wait wait wait you left out a word respond how well i'm looking for one word you don't know how this person will respond mr fuck you feel there's a what you say oh yeah there's a reason why i went to you mr fuck your feelings we're thinking do you hear mr. fuck your feelings up here trying to talk talk
about this stuff with kid gloves on mentor up here talking with white gloves on right now what you're talking about he got the white gloves on he's he got he got some finger the fingertip love but you don't he don't want to feel the emotional side of himself all right all right let's start this over calling mr. menthal the true mr. menthal why do people struggle with uh being told the truth and telling the truth very emotions hmm that's it that's all you got hang on look look he's been called out so he didn't say i look i'm just going with the emotion that's it i've been called out nah nah he was trying to give this old studio sass and i know what he really
want to say man come on you know what i think he's just a little pinkies instead he's talking with the pinkies nah man they they they they're too involved with the emotions don't for it though they they're they're too too too too much bonding with the emotions going on and and that'll stop that'll anything from happening and at the end of the day it is fuck your feelings for real man so so you saying people don't tell people the truth that when telling the truth we gauge how we think if somebody else will be able to emotionally handle it yeah yeah man and and that's that that's an issue with society too um a refiki brought yourself earlier um able to to respond in a healthy way
instead of just flying off the handle with the emotions and shit gotta put that that that that part of you those emotions to the side and and respond in a healthy manner logically and shit yeah i understand and may hurt your feelings but you gotta get over that shit man get over that shit i mean this you want to grow this is a way of growing you want to you want to look yourself in the mirror this is a way that this this is looking in the mirror facing that hard or telling somebody else that hard truth being that person's mirror hey man that was a mic drop you might as well tell people how you get on out of here man and you know how hey so that being said you all the stars or shine like one hmm refiki you gonna put a bow on this on uh number one
i just want to say this i want to encourage everybody that has listened to this podcast even if you got to start writing it now write down your thoughts and then gradually work yourself to where you can start looking into the actual mirror itself what is that actual mirror stay tuned for the next episode and we'll get into it hmm so you want to bring it back to the little mate well since we're talking about man and the mirror you know the all looking in the mirror i just ended like this when it comes to being able to look in the mirror i like the two words that my phoenix brought up knowing and acceptance and although i know we are born in this matrix
as humans to have relationships with people i mean you know if a baby comes in the world and does not touch the love that baby will die so we do need people but i think we get tricked to needing people more than ourselves and we got to realize yes we this journey is a journey that we take with other people we always got to remember it's a solo journey you got to be able to it's it's your soul's trip your soul's on this trip and you can't even look your soul in the eye i die it's so this is this trip so with that being said you know you and your soul need to have a conversation
you know that's self-balance you have it but i still keep to look it i break these rules off and move on to other missions i intuition coming across like voodoo tell me the reason for hand i thought you knew my only dream is reaching the top don't stop i am black and get the dip of the green what's that in i? in t-jg from around the way i got to get paid it goes on so he doesn't stop my flow they didn't know i never get attacked at cold plotting schemes with the means to clock green making it seem like it's magical but when my cashier flows it makes the world go round it makes the world go round check the sound the mail's doubly represent c8 it's all about the money in my e-watt it goes on and on it goes on and on it goes on and on it goes on and on it goes on and on it goes on and on it goes on and on and it don't stop it don't stop let's hit the block i'm looking for a spot that's hot to make my
