We have some important developments this afternoon
from Iran to Donald Trump's conversations with reporters
to the fact that the president of the United States
is actively negotiating a possible $10 billion settlement
with the federal government, billions of dollars
that would go directly into his own pockets.
This afternoon, Donald Trump over the past eight hours
had been posting numerous statements about Iran.
Every single time he posted statements about Iran,
something else came out that was seemingly contradictory.
At the same time, we're learning that the Strait of War moves
despite previously claiming that it was open for business
may not actually be open at all.
The ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel
isn't really ceasefire as Israel continues strikes today
in Lebanon from a, quote, defensive posture.
And Trump is on the verge of making a large windfall
of money from the federal government.
Your taxpayer dollar is going directly into his pocket.
I have the latest this Friday evening
as always make sure to like, comment, share, and subscribe.

because right now, something that I've noticed
and I've seen throughout the day today
and I've started seeing more and more regularly.
Every reporter in Washington, DC,
has the president's phone number.
Shoot if I wanted it, I could get the president's phone number.
It's been offered to me multiple times.
That's not how reporting in my opinion
should work these days because what happened today
and what we've seen over the past many weeks
is that Donald Trump spends the day calling reporters
and telling them XYZ, a whole host of things
that he wants to see happen.
So today, he spoke to reporters from Axios, from CBS
and elsewhere and told them all these things
about the straight of our moves ceasefire negotiations, et cetera.
Every time he would say something an hour later,
we'd learn that what he says may not actually be fully accurate.
And while that was on full display today
with the straight of our moves and elsewhere.
And so for me, I just want to wait
until all the facts come out and give you all the facts
and give you the full picture.
That's why independence is important.
So make sure to subscribe if you can
to support my work this evening.
Before we get to you run though,
I want to talk about this filing that popped up today.
It's in the filing in the case
between Donald Trump and the IRS.
If you recall several months ago,
Donald Trump sued the IRS
in the Treasury Department seeking $10 billion from them,
$10 billion, your tax payer dollars.
Why?
Well, he wants money in payment
and damages for allegedly releasing his tax information,
his returns to the New York Times illegally.
That's essentially what happened.
Well, Trump wouldn't release it himself.
His returns are leaked.
And now he's suing the IRS and the Treasury Department.
Mind you about 40,000 other people also had their returns
leaked unlawfully.
And so theoretically, they too can sue
for billions of dollars.
That's what the President Trump is saying.
But in this litigation,
there is a filing today that popped up
where the parties ask for an extension of time
to essentially resolve certain matters.
They want a 90-day extension.
Well, why?
Because if you look at under Section A,
there is the second sentence under Section A, quote,
the parties are engaging in discussions
and need time to work through how to ensure
those discussions can take place productively
to avoid protected litigation.
I've written that statement as a lawyer dozens of times.
What that means is that they're negotiating a settlement.
A settlement whereby the President of the United States
will likely get a billion dollar plus windfall
from the federal government.
That is your money that would go directly into his pockets.
Obviously, we don't know what the full amount is.
We don't know what the details are yet.
But they are actively working towards that solution.
And well, it comes as many say,
this is corruption at its finest.
Because what you're seeing is the President
is suing himself essentially.
He controls the IRS.
He controls the Treasury Department.
He controls the Justice Department
that would be presumably defending
the federal government against himself.
And so he's negotiating with Todd Blanche,
who's his former criminal defense attorney
now acting attorney general.
And they're working on a deal
to try to get him billions of dollars in a windfall.
At the same time,
we're learning more about the cease-fire negotiations
with Iran or rather lack thereof.
And I want to walk you through some claims
that were made today.
First, the claim was made that the Strait of War Moose
is open for business.
Trump claimed this, the Iranians claimed this.
But it looks as though that may not be fully accurate.
Because if you look at over the past hour to two hours,
a number of ships tried to pass the Strait of War Moose.
And you see those green and red dots.
But now they're all turning around.
They're all turning around
because there seems to be a bit of a disconnect,
potentially between the Iranian foreign ministry,
the government and the military, the IRGC,
who may not want the reopening of the Strait of War Moose.
But irregardless of all of that,
Iran is saying this evening,
the opening and closing of the Strait of War Moose
does not happen in cyberspace.
Only Iran is the one who determines this.
That's from the far as news agency,
a spokesperson for the foreign ministry told them
in a telegram message.
And so despite Trump claims that we're open for business,
we actually aren't.
We aren't.
And what we're learning that the ceasefire and Lebanon
may also not have been an actual ceasefire.
A U.S. official told Barack Revead
who seems to be a spokesperson in a lot of ways
for the Israelis and the United States.
They all go to him
because he just releases what they say
as though it's the law when reality, it's not.
President ceasefire agreement between Lebanon
and Israel clearly states that Israel
will not carry out any offensive military operations
against Lebanese targets.
But quote, preserves its rights to self-defense
against planned imminent war ongoing attacks.
That's not a ceasefire, right?
I'll just point it out and Barack Revead
should have pointed it out.
It's not a ceasefire because Israel after this statement
already launched a drone strike on Lebanon, right?
Israel has used quote the term self-defense
for many years now to commit atrocities in Gaza, right?
Attacks that weren't in self-defense.
So this statement just gives Israel the ability
to continue strikes in Lebanon.
It's not a full ceasefire we've seen it today already.
We're also learning that Donald Trump is prepared
to give Iran a $20 billion windfall.
Top priority for the Trump administration is ensuring
Iran can't access the stockpile.
About 2,000 kilograms of enriched uranium
beridens underground nuclear facilities.
Iranians, meanwhile, need money.
And so they're actively negotiating
for the United States may release a $20 billion
in sanctioned money to the Iranians.
Now, if that's an issue to you,
well, it was an issue to Donald Trump too
over the last decade.
It was an issue to him when President Obama sent Iran
$1.7 billion.
What the president is proposing now,
potentially behind the scenes,
is a windfall of over $20 billion.
And while things are moving fast,
we don't know what will happen next.
But I do want to end this off tonight
by really emphasizing that reporters
shouldn't take what the president says as though it is law.
There needs to be some new ones in reporting
just because the president calls you
and says that we're going to have a ceasefire tomorrow
doesn't mean that that's actually what's going to happen
and reporting it as such, in my opinion, is irresponsible.
And that's why I'm independent.
That's why you'll never catch me
on the phone chatting with the president every week
even though I could if I wanted to.
That's why I rely on you for support
to make sure to subscribe to support independent journalism
