A Moment with Joni Eareckson Tada — Breathe a Prayer. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
Hi, I'm Johnny Erickson Tata, and having a cold when you're a quadriplegic is not easy. I have virtually no chest muscles, so in order to make me cough, it takes the help of two people. Last year, I caught the worst chest cold. When I finally started to feel better, I kept a speaking engagement I had at Azusa Pacific University. During the worship time, I tried to sing along, but it was so hard, I could not get in good breath. And I knew that in a few minutes, I would have to speak. So I prayed, and right then, I heard the lyrics of the worship song, You're the breath in my lungs. Those lyrics were just what I needed to hear. And as I willed up to speak, God infused me with His breath. O friend, the Bible says that in God, we move and breathe and have our very being. So today, breathe a prayer and inhale the goodness of God. For your life, plant its source, its strength, and its breath in Him.
