Milwaukee Brewers pulled off a slick 2-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays Thursday afternoon,

thanks to some old school small ball.

Garrett Mitchell scored the go-ahead run in the 7th, after drawing a walk and three straight

buns advanced him home for the victory.

Aaron Ashby snagged the win, facing just two batters to close the 7th, and boosts his

record to five wins in zero losses, taking the major league.

Angels Irpa nailed down his second save when Toronto left the tying run at their base

in the 9th.

This victory snapped Milwaukee's six-game skid from the night before, where they also

scratched out runs without much power.

Both squads leaned on safety squeezes.

Toronto tied it early that way, but the Brewers made theirs count without hitting a single

ball out of the infield all rally.

Pitching held it down too, with starter Brandon's pro tossing a career-high 6-2-3's innings,

one run, six strikeouts.

Trevor McGill struck out two in a clean 8th before Zerpa finished it.
