The Milwaukee Brewers have signed their star shortstop prospect, Cooper Pratt, to an eight-year, $50.75 million contract. The 21-year-old, ranked 60th in baseball by MLB Pipeline, was added to the 40-man roster and sent to Triple-A Nashville. The move echoes the Brewers investment in Jackson Chourio in 2023. Pratt, drafted in the 6th round in 2023, hit .238 with 8 homers, 62 RBIs, 31 steals, and 67 walks in 120 games last year. Hes been even hotter this spring, and the Brewers are betting big on their homegrown pipeline to stay competitive.
