The results not great for the Milwaukee Brewer's. They fall for the second straight time. They drop the first series they've lost. It's all the way back in August to San Diego. They drop two out of three to the reds. Your final today, 12 to eight, the brewers with the loss, falling to an overall record of 88 and 56. Hello, everyone. Welcome into the Lockdown Brewer's Postcast.

Lots to dissect in this one. Kyle Harris and continues to struggle. The brewers bats were there. However, their pitching was not. Their defense was not either. We'll talk about that. Of course, we'll get into your thoughts, your reactions. Let's hear it. Your frustrations. How you feeling after a two out of three loss to the reds, they dropped two out of three. They fall. They lose their first series since they got swept out in San Diego in mid August. The struggles on display for the Milwaukee Brewer's. We'll get into some of your thoughts, your reactions, your frustrations. Of course, we'll dive in to the things you'll be talking about tomorrow. We'll get into the box. They're shortly. But let's begin with the turning point in this one. As I mentioned, Kyle Harrison got the start. Brady Singer got the start for the reds. And right away, this one got off to a rocky start. I mean, Kyle Harrison gives up four runs in the first three innings.

3:04However, the brewers respond in the top half of the fourth with three of their own. They get back into this game a little bit. Then Kyle Harrison gives up a couple of more in the bottom half of the fourth. Antonio Centatella as well. Right away. When the brewers get right back into it, they fall right back into it. They're down 63. The top half of the fifth inning. No, they get right back into it. They tie the game in the top half of the fifth inning. And man, the bottom of the fifth inning, just unfortunately, the turning point in a 12-8. Time to reveal where the game was once or most. It's the turning point. So for me, the turning point in this one, you could probably point to three or four different spots in this game. However, I'm going to go to the bottom half of the fifth inning for the brewers after a garamitial RBI single and a Bryce train to run RBI double in the top half of the fifth after the brewers tied at six to six. In the bottom half of the fifth inning, Antonio Centatella would issue a lead off walk. Never a good idea.

4:04Then an infield single. Then another walk. Never good to load the bases with Ellie Daylock, Cruz with no outs coming up to the plate. He would double to center field, making it eight to six. Then you would have another infield single. As Grand Anderson would come on for Antonio Centatella, that would make it nine to six. It just it felt like the air was sort of sucked out of the room for the brewers in that bottom half of the fifth inning. They worked. So I mean, they fell into a four-nothing hole. They I mean, they climb back into it. They get punched again. They climb back into it. They tie the game up from an offensive standpoint. And man, you just you give up nine runs after five innings and it just feels like what else can the offense do? And it was not the offense tonight. They certainly brought it. Unfortunately, that that fifth inning for me just just kind of turned the game because the brewers. I mean, they were playing catch up from start to finish in this one. And eventually just became too much for that offense to overcome. They would add on a couple of more runs, but ultimately would fall 12 to eight to the reds in this one. And just a very frustrating weekend overall.

5:04I mean, Friday night was a wild game, another rain delay and to start that game. And you felt good about getting that victory. Even though it was kind of ugly, you felt good about getting that victory. So many opportunities. And last night's game with William Contreras coming up with the bases loaded. You know, just unable to come through and then today right away. And man, Kyle Harrison, we're going to talk a little bit more about Kyle Harrison and the things you'll be talking about tomorrow. Let's get into your box score. Seven hits on the day for the brewers. Eight runs, boy, boy. They give up 14 on the other end and 12 runs for the reds. And just a handful of errors at, um, I'm defense for the brewers today. Not a great day whatsoever at all for Bownail or not a great day whatsoever for David Hamilton at third base. Just an atrocious day from the brewers defense in this one. A treacherous day once again from Kyle Harrison, three and two thirds, nine hits, six total runs. Four of them earned four walks, four strikeouts, gave up in home run, 93 pitches thrown in three and a two thirds.

6:08And I mean, it's just, uh, since we're on the Kyle Harrison train, I just, I just want to make, we're going to do this a little bit early, but it sort of ties into Kyle Harrison. Let's, let's talk a little bit more about Kyle Harrison and what needs to happen moving forward. This is what you'll be talking about. I'm not, you know, the smartest when it comes to baseball. I'm not, you know, the, I'm going to take a deep dive into the analytics. I'm not going to tell you things that I just don't know and just make up things. I'm going off of the eye test. Like in, and I think for the most part, you every day, or is can respect that. Like there are smarter people out there when it comes to the game of baseball, then myself. And I'm just going off of the eye test. Kyle Harrison just, they need to sit Kyle Harrison. Like you just, I don't know if it's one start, two starts, a couple of weeks. Like Kyle Harrison has hit a wall. Brian Anderson was talking about it on the television broadcast. He just doesn't have it. And you can see him fighting it on the mound. And it's every, really every start since that Pittsburgh Pirates start back at American

7:13Family Field when he came off of the IEL where he goes five innings and strikes out, strikes out 10 batters and goes on it and left that game due to cramps. I mean, it's just been, you know, he's had a good start in there. Seattle is a good start. You know, five innings, no, we're in runs, but San Diego, four and two thirds, 10 hits, eight runs scored, three of them being earned. They took a couple of those away off of the air. The Mets, you know, start wasn't bad, but again, you know, it's a team that's not really playing for much. And the Cubs series was, the game was over, you know, before Kyle Harrison left the mound, three and two thirds, nine earn runs. Like, and then today you mix in, you know, again, three and two thirds and four and runs and six runs total. And it just, I mean, the guy he hasn't gotten past the fifth inning, you got to go all the way back before he went on the injured list. This is the last time he went, you know, past five innings. I'm going to pull it up here. You got to really kind of stretch it back all the way through June 20th. The last time Kyle Harrison went over five innings, June 20th.

8:14It was a loss in Atlanta. It was last time Kyle Harrison went more than five, then five innings. And that, I mean, I hate to say, yeah, I know, you know, some of you are going to laugh at me because I said, man, this, you know, the Brewers won this trade and it felt like certain, certainly early on they did because Kyle Harrison was, was without question, you know, that number two guy behind Jacob Mizraowski, but man, he has just struggled to a new level and it has become, it has become a little bit worrisome for the Milwaukee Brewers who are certainly going to need him to get, you know, at least return to, to close to where he was early on in the season because without Kyle Harrison, without that number three big time arm, like it's going to be hard to move on in the postseason if the Brewers do want to move past the NLDS and eventually into the NLCS, which I believe we can all agree that they do. But man, just a really a tough one for the Brewers, 12, 8, your final will get into your thoughts, your reactions, all of your frustrations, how you guys are feeling after a 12, 8 Brewers

9:15loss and dropping a series to the Reds, give the Reds credit though. I mean, the Reds did, they want a series against the San Diego Padres. They did win a series on the road against these Cubs just a week and a go, taking two out of three inrigly. And now they take two out of three against the Milwaukee Brewers. It's a, it's a team that certainly had higher expectations this year. They're loaded with a bunch of challenges hasn't translated. They're pitching not being good enough this year, but man, their, their offense was on display this weekend. The frustrating one for the Milwaukee brewers quite frankly a a frustrating series for the Milwaukee brewers. They dropped two out of three to the reds in Cincinnati. They fall on Saturday night. They fall on Sunday afternoon a weird wacky weekend yet a two hour 22 minute rain delay

13:18on Saturday. You weren't even sure if you're going to get the rest of that game in Dustin May had gotten off to a relatively good start. And obviously got hit with the rain delay. And that through a wrench into things for the brewers and then today an early one for for Milwaukee out there in Cincinnati a 12 10 local start out there in Cincinnati. And again, say what you want. I know a lot of you got some thoughts and reactions. We're going to get to him here very, very shortly. This is a tough stretch in the brewer schedule and no way am I making an excuse for them. But there is not another team in baseball that has had 18 games and 17 days 17 games and 17 days in the brewers. Getting near the end of it, but in the midst of a 16 games in 16 days, a part of their schedule. At some point they were they were bound to sort of hit it a little bit and maybe we're starting to see a little bit of that fatigue start to wear off for the brewers as they fall to the reds. Let's get into some of your thoughts, your reactions, all of your frustrations. I see some of you ready already to throw in the towel in on the season.

14:19So let's get to them. Everyday her droves has not too worried about the cubs catching up, but I don't want the dodges to take that number one seed from us. Guess better to be humbled by the reds now and bounce back against the cubbies left three against the Chicago Cubs. You only need one in that series to win the season series, which could be big for the Milwaukee brewers and certainly the division. I'm not saying that the division you need to worry, but I said and I'm going to continue saying it like I'm not throwing in, you know, the division is over argument. I know some people have and I respect that, but it's to me, it's not over till it's over and you've got three big games against the Chicago Cubs. Pack the brew over on YouTube says Murphy and Matt Arnold need to go. Come on, Packer brew, you're my God. You're in every day. It's one loss. It may be two. You want to throw in the Saturday as well. Okay. I'm not ready to throw away the executive of the year and the manager of the year and back to back here. I'm just not. Everyday her care and says I do worry about the cubs. If they win today, the lead is down to six as it stands right now as we are on the

15:23lock down. Bruce postcast show top of the seven in Miami, the Marlins up eight to three against the Chicago Cubs. We'll see how that one plays out at at worst case. You're up six games going into a three game series with the Cubs. The best case. You're up seven games going into a three game series with the Cubs and I think 18 games left on the season. So it would be a catastrophic failure for the bird, not to wrap things up here in the next couple of weeks. Three days and every day, I was just bursting to lock it. Look to crow to get in this rotation healthy for the post season. Need a healthy Harrison and Miz and company. Yellows needs to be Mr. Clutch player team meeting every game. Power of friendship. I don't know if they need a player meeting every after every game or before every game there glory days. Maybe Coleman Crowe could be a solution. I just think Kyle Harrison needs a rest like I just think they. You know, I thought maybe after Chicago, he probably could have probably used it and maybe skipped the start and Cincinnati and get him back to American family field. I would have, you know, again, things, things change, things happen.

16:24I would have tried if you're, if you, if you didn't want to skip Harrison and I get it, you can't coddle him, you can't baby him. I would have tried to skip the start and Cincinnati and get him on the Mounted American family field. And maybe, maybe that could get him going. Again, you know, it is what it is, you know, the schedule is what the schedule is, but man, there, there's something not, not right there with, uh, right now with Kyle Harrison. Every day, Anthony says, last complaint, the burst will never win a world series, depending on players like Freelyk, Yellowitch, Hamilton and Naylor to contribute. Well, okay. David Hamilton and Bo Naylor probably aren't playing if you're playing in the NLCS or in a world series. Like I, I get it. And you guys want to write on David Hamilton today. Okay, he's not a great game. Bo Naylor, he's not going to be your catcher or a world series. Uh, or at all, right? It's going to be, it's going to be willing to contrast every game and, you know, wild build getting the day off today, getting him ready for the Cub series. Like let's, let's not try to jump. Let's not try to get too crazy here, guys.

17:25Let's just, let's take a deep breath. Uh, Michael run YouTube says the two relievers, the worst picked up after the all start break. Sure didn't come through today giving up six runs. Yeah, not a great, not a great showing from JoJo Romero, although he was huge in the Cub series as was Antonio Sanzatela as well, but just, no, I mean, those guys were not good. Uh, whatsoever. But again, you have dependent on them for a big chunk of this road trip now, right? I mean, think about all those, the innings, those guys threw in Chicago, man. When Miz gets knocked out after four and Harrison gets knocked out after three and two thirds, I'm trying to remember who else made a start. I know Logan Henderson was awesome. Like those things are going to happen. Like you're going to, your, your bullpen is eventually going to get taxed a little bit. And you're, you're just starting to see it kind of wear on them a little bit. Essner Noble and every day are says pathetic pitching except Grant Anderson. Who would have thought we, uh, we didn't do a lockdown brewers postcast player of the game, but, uh, Essner Noble brings up a good point. Maybe, maybe it is grand Anderson. This is the lock down player of the game.

18:28So Abner, your rebate came in. He got one out in the, uh, in the eighth inning, but Grant Anderson would have been your only other pitcher that didn't surrender a run in the ballgame today. Any pitch quite a bit two and two thirds for Grant Anderson. So he is your locked on brewers postcast player of the game. Only one hit a couple of strikeouts, man. At grand Anderson was, was kind of awesome. It was kind of cool to see everyday or Karen getting to more of your thoughts and reactions. As we wrap things up, awful pitching, defense and lineup authorizing every day. Or says in post season form already this team absolutely stinks. I mean, not surprised by some of your guys' reaction after dropping two games and still with the best record in baseball and 32 games over 500 every day. Here Jacobs is, I think Harrison and Gasser need to switch days having gas on the road and Harrison at home. Maybe Harrison is still recovering from the injury in July. Yeah, that's a great point. Like, Gasser was the other one that started in Chicago. I think he went five maybe, um, but nonetheless, um, you know, the start and the rest and would have been sort of the issue with that.

19:29But I would have, again, it's tough. You got to make right, you know, either roster moves and decisions and I don't know. Glorarday's brought up Coleman Krohn. Not sure the last time he pitched in Nashville, but it would have been, it, I would have tried to do it. And maybe they did. Maybe they looked into it. I'm sure they did. They look at everything. So it is, it is very possible. A couple more comments. Every day or chase is Brandon. There is no world series and you know it. Okay. Yeah. I mean, Chase, I'm not going to tell anybody. How to fan. But if you think there's no world series, then what do you, what are you watching for? Then, then shut up your TV and just quit on them. I'm, I don't know if they're going to go to a world series. I have no idea. Do I think they can? Yeah. I think they can. We will see. Obviously, you know, that's always the cliche in sports. We will see. But if you don't think that this team has a world series shot, then you just haven't been paying attention to them all season long. Because they've proven everybody wrong.

20:30All the experts, all the predictions, everything run. I think, call me a home, you know, prove the blue and gold goggles on. I think if you give me Jacob Mizorowski and Logan Henderson. And this offense, by the way, the offense sort of has kind of woken up a little bit for the burst as of late. Now, I know they gave up 27 runs in the three games against the Reds, which isn't great. But the offense, the offense has looked pretty good, including that series against the Cubs. And obviously the last game of that series, you know, people will remember, but not a little bit of a struggle. But as I mentioned earlier, today is game number 36 of 39 games in 41 days. Like it is a brutal stretch for any baseball team. And certainly not making an excuse. But yeah, I think this team can. Like, do I think they will? We'll see. But I, and no way, shape or form. Am I starting to overreact on September 6 where the brewers fall 12 to 8. And everything had to go right for the Reds. And the brewers defense was terrible. And Kyle Harrison wasn't good again. I'm not willing to write off this season on September 6.

21:32But I'm not telling you how to fan, but I think that's crazy talk. I was wrapped things up on a lockdown brewers postcast. 12, eight brewers lost to the Reds.
