British Submarine in Arabian Sea for Iran Action

On March 21st, a British nuclear-powered submarine, HMS Anson, has reached the Arabian Sea,

bringing crew's missile strike capabilities to the region.

The vessel carries Tomahawk land-attack missiles with a range of 1,000 miles in spearfish

torpedoes.

It left Perth, Australia, on March 6th, after traveling 5,500 miles.

Earlier this week, the sub-took-up position in deep northern waters, ready for potential

action against Iran, if tensions rise.

Its surfaces briefly every 24 hours to connect with commanders at the permanent joint headquarters

in Northwood, London.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer recently expanded permissions for U.S. forces to use British

bases.

Previously limited to defense against Iranian missile threats to UK interests, the approval

now covers strikes on sites targeting the Strait of Hormuz.

Under collective self-defense, Lieutenant General Nick Perry oversees

operations from headquarters and would relay any firing orders from the Prime Minister.

The advance sub runs silently for stealth, purifying its own air and water, though food limits

patrols to about three months for its 98.
