As the road to the World Cup continues.
USA versus Portugal, Tuesday, March 31st at 6 p.m. Eastern.
Live on TNT and HBO map.
D and B are Dora Fodd, we're doing it.
And boy are we ever live from Breckenridge Brewery.
The farmhouse is here.
We've got some newbies.
We're breaking them in on the farmhouse,
like Neon Dion Smith here in the house.
Let's go.
First time at the Breckenridge Brewery.
You guys are old hat here.
You've held the Stanley Cup here in the farmhouse.
I was here for the last solar eclipse.
Yeah, a power outage from the wind.
How about a bonix getting drafted by the Broncos?
We were here for that, a little bit of a crash out.
Yeah, it was.
It goes to show you, you know, the DraftPod give us,
the DraftPod take us.
And boy, is it give a thing today?
On this blessed Thursday, what a time to be alive
with my guys and speaking of my guys.
Oh, yeah, what a transition.
That's why I make the big bucks.
We're getting right into my guys.
We want to do this draft style, boys.
Sure.
Oh, yes, yes, we do.
So there can't be overlap.
And the only rule for my guys, an exercise we've done before,
but when we did it before, the Broncos still had a first round
and a third round pick.
Right.
The only stipulation here is non-obvious first rounders.
So 33 are above the consensus board.
Yeah, yep, that's a good way to go about it.
If we've talked about them in Mox before for the first round,
I would, you know, we can throw flags on the play here.
So that's where we get it going.
We start with the my guys and dealer's choice.
You guys choose who starts.
Yeah, yeah, I don't want to be put in this position.
Yeah, that's scary because I can't just take for Nando this time.
Do you want me to start?
Yeah, you go first, you go first.
Okay, I put this list together and then I realize looking back
at the list, like wow, there's a lot of,
these are all dudes that have first round type traits.
It's just for one reason or another,
they're not in that mix right now.
Okay.
And I'll start with Julian Neal cornerback from Arkansas.
One of the best corners in the country,
blew it up at the combine.
He's a six to press man corner,
played very well in the SEC.
He's great at covering those vertical routes
at playing the ball, 10 pass breakups, two interceptions.
If I'm not mistaken, the question is,
why was a talent like this?
Only a starter for one year in the SEC.
And the three cone is a bit of a mixback.
You know, the agility, change of direction.
Hmm, but as an outside corner,
since the Broncos are flush with nickel type of guys,
right, this would be your outside future,
Riley Moss replacement if it came to that.
So give me Julian Neal, Arkansas cornerback
as my first pick for the my guys draft.
How George Payton of you?
Yeah, yeah, really is.
Really is.
You can never have enough corners.
I don't know if you knew this.
I have learned this.
Do you think George Payton has that like printed on his mirror
when he wakes up in the morning?
He looks at that.
You can never have enough corners.
You might have it tattooed on the backside of his eyelids.
Oh, that'd be incredible.
A little chest tattoo with the heart around it.
I heart CB's.
Yeah.
The arrow.
Oh, man, I need an AI generated picture of that.
I don't want to see that.
So yeah, give me Julian Neal.
A stud in this cornerback class.
And it's such a loaded cornerback class
that I think in other years,
he would be getting a lot more buzz.
This year, he's kind of, you know,
just another guy with all the all the top corners
in his own conference.
Love it.
Okay, who's next?
Let's go in this order.
You guys have to take this.
I'll go next.
Shall I continue with the cornerbacks in?
Oh, man, George Payton would be so proud.
Is it bad if I take a nickel too?
No, please.
Give me Kianta Scott.
Mm.
Miami.
Nickel out of Miami.
The you complete playmaker.
Let me pull up the stats here.
But he was phenomenal in the playoffs.
Yes.
Yes.
A lot of talk about Bane and Mezador,
but Kianta Scott was probably the next best defender
and even senior, the third best defender on that defense
is a compliment, I think.
That's saying a lot.
No doubt.
This year, he had 64 total tackles.
13 TFLs, five sacks, two interceptions,
two touchdowns for interceptions and five passes,
deflected along with two force fumbles.
He is always around the football.
He is always affecting the play.
He's a good tackler, good production,
and yeah, versatile.
Best DB defending the run probably last year.
Yes.
13 and a half TFLs is insane.
Yeah.
For a nickel, yes.
Yeah.
And I don't know if he's tested out his pro day,
but the testing numbers for the San Diego native
will be important.
Did we have in Miami?
Oh yeah, because we've already seen the Rubin Bangeril.
So yeah, we should, this is AI,
but it says he recorded a standout 4, 3, 3, 40
and 44 inch vertical.
That sounds impossible.
Hey, hold on.
Let me look on.
That's otherworldly.
The old Twitter machine here.
OK, Hank, while we look at these sets,
the floor is yours.
So I've got the back to back picks.
I've got to start with Sam Roush.
That's nice.
Are we saying Roush?
I forget how I was saying Roush.
I like saying Roush, but I kind of switched it up.
But the first time I kind of like that.
He's your guy, it's kind of.
You get to choose his pronouncey.
So you like short-armed tight ends,
is what you're saying.
OK, that's that.
I like the blotting tight end in his class.
Who, yes, Roush arms a little bit less, yeah.
But he'll be just fine.
And on top of that, he's just a way more productive receiver
than anybody gives him credit for.
I mean, like there's outrouts the underneath stuff.
You can just feed him the ball.
He's just a set and forget tight end
who solves a tight end problem for a decade.
But he doesn't jump, and the 40 time is whatever.
And oh, he tested it really well.
I mean, yeah, but he wasn't one of the guys
who leave the combine saying like, oh, look at this guy.
It's just people get caught up in all the, this guy is fast.
He's like, yeah, but he's 228 pounds.
So Sam Roush, that's my guy.
R-A-S, 9.99 for Sam Roush.
What did he not do?
He didn't do the agility testing.
But he ran it for seven flat.
He had a 38 inch vertical and a 10 inch broad.
Right.
At 260 pounds.
Right, it's the size.
It helps him with the R-A-S.
Yep.
R-A-S.
And not doing the agility.
R-A-S out the ASS, as I like to say.
Can't they Scott apparently went crazy at his pro day?
He did.
People are having unofficial 425s, 430s, and he ran.
Apparently he jumped 44 in the vert, which both of those
would have led all cornerbacks to the combine.
The A.I. search was a very, so we've taken some R-A-S dogs
because Julian Neal, 9.48, Kianta Scott,
with those numbers, probably broke R-A-S.
And you just went 9.99 with Sam Roush.
Right, and I shouldn't say this is the Sam Roush guy.
But if the 265 pound tight end had done the agility drills,
that R-A-S would have been.
Yes, totally.
So he played the R-A-S game well.
Yeah.
If you were to advise a youth and you wanted him
to score a high R-A-S, would you suggest
don't do the agility testing?
I would say if you're 6'6 and 265 pounds.
Nice.
But I would also say if you're 5'10 and 180 pounds,
don't get measured.
Because that would kill you.
Right, right.
What about pushing for a DNA test if your child was
a 6'1 without a 50.
I'm not giving my DNA to anybody.
And I don't recommend that anybody else does either.
Oh, OK.
Wow.
I have a lot of questions about that, but amazing.
I'm not mailing my DNA to somebody.
Worth mentioning, Henry Chisholm's views and opinions
are not shared by the all-city corporation.
Right.
We're on pins and needles for your second pick.
Give me Jacob Rodriguez.
Oh, my god.
Wait.
Henry took him last track.
You got him last track.
Do we allow it?
Is this actually maybe, is that, does it qualify
as a non-obvious first rounder?
If you try to tell me, Jacob Rodriguez
is an obvious first rounder, I'm storming off this set.
So are you saying the Josie Jewel comp is off the table?
Because you were kind of a hater when you first rejoined
the show in the off season.
Give me his razz.
OK, let's get razzed up.
Wait.
Yeah, he actually is like an athlete, though.
People sleeping on him.
Now all of a sudden, he's instinctive, productive linebacker,
who also is very happy.
Like, that's exactly my guy.
Oh, no.
No, no.
9-2-3 razz.
So you are, give me what's the Josie Jewel razz?
Your razz, Moggy and Ghanos.
I don't think Josie would have tested really well.
He would have had good size.
5'6-7.
Razz.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, no, 9-2-3 for J-Rod as kids.
Oh, it's the heightened weight that knocked it down.
Yep, yep, yep.
Also, because he has 6-1-2-31.
No agility testing for him as well.
Ah.
I think of him as agile.
I'd say so.
I do too.
Yeah, I do too.
He's got good wiggle.
Yeah, I don't know if that would have killed him.
He's a great player.
I hope Jose is in the chat.
He's unbelievable.
We can't see the chat right now, so.
I can't.
Worth mentioning.
OK, Jake, we go back to you.
Back to me.
All right.
And honestly, I'm getting nervous.
So I want you guys is going to take one of my guys.
I already did.
Did I get two of them?
Yeah, no, totally.
I love your guys.
Well?
Yes.
I will take tight ends out of Cincinnati, J-Royer.
Oh, J-Royer.
I love this for us.
Last two years, almost 1,000 yards combined.
Only had 29 receptions last year after having 50
of the year before.
But great size.
6, 5, 2, 4, 2, 4, 2, 4, 2, 7, definitely.
Yes, the production isn't great.
But I just thought he was a well-rounded tight end.
I think he was, besides the quarterback,
one of Cincinnati's, if not their best offensive player
at times.
I think he's dynamic after the catch.
He just needs some more opportunities.
But I like the frame.
I like the size.
Yeah, we love those big 12 tight ends.
Yes, we do.
Next week, can we do a player's, we hate draft.
Sure.
Oh, man, that'd be amazing.
Because I have a lot of players I hate.
That'd be awesome, yeah.
Yes.
Because I look through the list and it's like, wow,
I hate this guy.
I want to pivot the show and do that right now.
But I'll give you a list.
No, nothing but love for these players right now.
I'll get my back-to-back picks out the way,
so that you guys can't steal.
How many rounds do we want to go?
We want to go four rounds?
Sure, maybe we might have to end to this segment almost.
We can do another round or two.
OK, OK.
Give me Tanner Kazoil.
We're going to keep the big 12 tight end going.
His Razz was out of this world as well.
9-7-2, ran a 4-7 flat like Sam Roush.
Had a 38 and a half vertical like Sam Roush.
Only longer arms.
He is 6 foot 7, 33-inch arms, 6-7,
indeed.
When I watch the tape, boy, this guy off the snap really
impresses me, explosive.
Obviously, 6-7 in the end zone is where
he really stands out.
Red zone situations, goal line situations.
He really stands out.
But the more I study him, the more I see his ability
to get off, his ability to stretch the seam,
his ability to make tough catches, tough adjustments,
use his body, even run some stuff underneath,
watching him at Ball State, where he was playing the year
prior, and at 94 receptions.
His nuance as a wide receiver really stood out.
He's obviously a receiving tight end, but that size,
when I see him do those like, you
block for a second, and then you run your little route,
your little choice routes, or whatever,
I see enough push and ability to get guys off,
to where I think long-term, if he puts on some pounds,
he's only 247 pounds, I think you could easily
on that frame, add another 10 pounds.
Those jerseys for Houston, very similar to the Dayton jerseys
that Adam Troutman was wearing.
Troutman, when he was coming out of college,
move tight end, H back, those were the projections,
and he's turned into, and this is a divisive topic
in Broncos' country, a very good blocking tight end.
We can debate elite, very good, good, whatever,
button, that is how he's made.
And I think, similarly sized, similarly athletic,
Tanner Kozoil could also have a similar developmental
trajectory as a blocker, but even if he does develop
as a blocker, we're talking about a top 10 tight end
in the league.
If not, we're still talking about a really high end receiving
tight end in the NFL, who's going to do some great things.
So I really like Kozoil for his combination
of high floor, high ceiling.
So yeah, I'm all in on Kozoil.
I'm going to tease my next pick,
and we're going to take our first break of the day.
And yeah, then we'll get right back.
So first, they shout out to our friends at.

And we're back.
Draft pod live from the farmhouse.
Breckenridge Brewery Farmhouse in Littleton
can't wait to sample some of these delicious brews.
Can't wait to get into the farmhouse and have some lunch.
The farmhouse menu is so elite.
The food here is unbelievable.
Unreal.
And yeah, just a special place in our hearts.
We've done a lot of great things here at the farmhouse
through our history, so it's a real treat to be back.
OK, my guys, give me Bryce Lance.
Great pick.
Give me Bryce Lance.
So Bronco's probably out on drafting wide receivers, yeah?
Yeah, I don't know.
Unless you trade Marvin.
I don't know either, but it's a weird wide receiver.
He's the Julian Neal of wide receivers.
All right.
He's 6'3", he's 204 pounds.
He ran a 4'3", 4".
He has a 41.5-inch vertical 11-inch broad, which is incredible.
The only shuttle was really good, 415.
3'7-flap.
And I think that shows up in Fran Duffy's draft guide, which
become a diehard, getting on that.
Fran mentions how he shows physicality at the catchpoint,
but that's about the only place he shows physicality.
And that he's unrefined as a route runner.
He's Tray Lance's brother.
He comes to North Dakota State as a zero-star recruit
and is red-shirted year one.
And then have back-to-back years, junior and senior year,
over 1,000 yards had 17 touchdowns as a junior,
has just a view of a one-handed touchdown
grab against South Dakota State in the playoffs two years
ago, was monumental against Montana State in the Nadi as well.
It's just guys like that, they're so rare.
I wasn't high on Christian Watson because of the hands.
This guy has hands.
He has hands for contested balls.
He has hands in adjusting and making
those mid-air adjustments back to his body.
He's got lots of tools.
He's just unrefined.
And yet, even if that refinement doesn't come,
I think he can still be a really serviceable deep threat
and guy who really threatens opposing defenses
and you got a count for and it's kind of like a super wide receiver,
three or wide receiver for.
If he's able to find some of that refinement in his game,
even as a blocker as a wide receiver is not impressive,
then this guy has true star potential.
It's just the more I watch him, the more I'm like,
who are the guys who three years from now we look back
and we're like, boy, we were idiots for not thinking this guy
was a first-rounder.
And now he's a $30 million player.
Bryce Lance has that type of talent.
$994, and I think in an offense like the Broncos under coach,
like Sean Payton, he could really turn into a star.
Great pick.
He's a great player.
I agree.
He is a better version of Christian Watson.
Yeah.
We saw a couple years ago who went in the second round.
I think he had an outrageous 40 time that's kind of carried him.
And was actually a little taller than Bryce Lance, too.
Like Christian Watson's a real freak.
But think of how important he's been for the Packers.
Yeah, totally.
He's a game breaker for them.
Yeah.
So yeah, pretty crazy.
Going back to zero, folks.
Tanner Kozyoldo, 168 receptions over the last two years.
That'll do.
I am going to pick Jonah Coleman, running back out
of Washington, former, I believe Arizona, running back.
Yes.
He is a player who I think could just compliment this backfield
really well.
He's a tough runner.
I wouldn't say bigger, but he's a bowling ball style, right?
Yes, sir.
Also has good receiving production.
His pass pro, I mean, there's got to be like a thing on Twitter
of just like Jonah Coleman pass pro.
And if there is, you should watch it.
He's such a complete running back.
He just Hank doesn't believe in the long speed.
I just am I spending a top 100 pick on a running back
who doesn't have much juice.
If I told you you could add healthy JK Dobbins,
who's also good in pass pro and thus can take away Tyler Baday
snaps, that wouldn't intrigue you in the top 100.
I just, if you really think that he is JK Dobbins,
he makes the running back from that middle.
Like JK has the best vision in the NFL.
Like that, and that's why you are separates.
It's 27 now, it took him in it together.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I'm not, I'm not anti Jonah Coleman.
I just, you know, just where he's projected now.
I don't, I'm not a huge fan.
I think he's firmly become my RB two.
He's, it'll be interesting to see where he goes.
He's 90th on the, the consensus board,
but I think he does go slightly higher than that.
I just think he raises the floor of the running backroom.
You can, as Drake said, you can kind of get rid of the Tyler
Baday snaps and turn those into Jonah Coleman snaps.
Or at worst, I think that's the projection with him, right?
If not, he becomes what kind of what we just talked about.
A JK Dobbins type back who can kind of do everything.
Someone you can trust them third down.
Someone you can trust during the football too.
You know, I think that's why we like a lot of,
or why we talk to Jeterian Price a lot before the
Waddle trade, right?
Is someone who can kind of be that weapon out of the backfield
a little bit?
I think you get that with Jonah Coleman just around later,
if not more.
Yeah, yeah.
It's our all nice picks at 62, by the way.
I agree.
Like I could buy into a lot of these guys.
Ah, I'm torn.
We, uh, D'Angelo Ponds is first round or right.
I don't think so.
I think we are allowed it.
I think I'd allow it.
I'd allow it.
I'd allow it.
Okay, I don't allow it.
That makes us a lot easier.
I mean, it's D'Angelo Ponds.
That guy's just productive.
Again, when you talk about the George Payton,
just super productive, but undersized corner,
that's what it's all about.
Yeah, you guys are really leaning into the Sean Payton,
George Payton type of picks.
It's true.
They've broken my brain.
That mindset, you know?
That's great.
Yeah, no, I mean, he just,
I'm not sure that he's ever gonna be like good in the run game.
You hope that like some of that explosiveness shows up
in like a J-Mac type away and he makes some plays.
But even if it doesn't,
he's just so good in coverage
that there will be a role for him somewhat.
Like he is certainly an NFL player
and draft like this where I get to look back in four years.
Nobody's going to be talking about like,
I don't know, he's a little bit deficient in the run game.
They're gonna be saying like,
oh, he has had six picks for the commanders
or where everyone's up.
Do the Broncos play too much man
to have Ponds play on the outside?
No, I don't see him as a Bronco.
I don't see any corners going to the Broncos at this point.
But yeah, I do, I think you could see it
because similar to the Chris Abrams drain type pick
where it's like the same undersized physical makes his way through
and Chris Abrams drain,
they don't see him as a nickel at all.
Like they see him as peer boundary.
So I think they certainly have shown a willingness
to let those little guys play outside.
But I don't know what they're looking for another.
Although I guess if they are committed to J-Mac leaving,
if you thought you could-
Yeah, if you're worried about Riley Moss.
And if you feel like you had an upgrade over CAD,
then I think that's the case to drafting in the corner.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, I guess you could.
You'd just be very deep this year, which is fine.
Take your final pick, Hank.
Oh, Michael were them.
That's an easy one.
I just knew nobody was going to steal them.
I tell the people.
Yeah, that's insanely productive receiver.
From East or Washington, but when you're good
and the big sky Montana is just going to pay you more
to come play for us.
And man was he insane.
Like this is the best prospect I think maybe Montana's ever had.
Wow.
Tremaine Johnson was the highest paid corner in the NFL.
And even he, I don't think was at this level.
Like the juice.
No way.
Well, then you see him at the shrine game
where he's lighting everybody up.
Yeah, it's technically receiver,
but they just wanted to ball in his hands,
winds up with 17 touchdowns, play him at quarterback,
play him wherever, like undersized.
You wonder if the speed is enough for him
to be changing angles, but it's the vision
after he catches the ball that makes it special.
He's like a good rusher, too, though.
Oh, yeah, you know, like what we're,
how are they?
357 touchdowns.
Every way, you line them up in the backfield,
you line them up in Wildcat.
You line up.
So it wasn't just like jet sweeps and stuff.
It was like, there were some, but no, I know
is any way you want read options like tank.
All right.
No, and that's why I don't talk as Sean Payton.
Totally.
That's why I am very excited.
What's his size, Hank?
5, 9, 180.
Wolf.
Yeah, that's tough.
Return ability.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I mean, how many touchdowns?
Oh, only one touchdown is a return.
Wait, that's more thumbs down on that.
But still like big yards, thumbs down.
Yeah, that's absurd, bro.
Oh, yeah.
No, I mean, he is the, how did he not
have more touchdowns?
I don't know.
He sounds like a Sean Payton or everything.
No, he's going to be a monster.
I mean, what's 1,000 yards on 38 returns?
A lot.
26.
Pretty freaking good.
Yeah, yeah, pretty freaking good.
I like that.
I think I'm going to go to a safety.
And I'm going to pick Bud Clark.
Oh, that was mine if I couldn't get pawns.
If I couldn't get pawns, it was Bud Clark.
15 interceptions the last four seasons in the big 12.
Yep.
15, Hanky.
Right.
Three with 4, 3, 3, 5.
With 21 PBUs, on-ball production, baby.
We talk about safety, nickel versatility, complete DB.
Had a really good coverage grade.
He plays the run really well.
He's someone who, if we're talking about Brandon Jones
and his contract down the line.
I think this would be an absolutely amazing pick
to make for someone who, maybe you don't need it right away,
but someone that you can kind of bring along.
And at worst, I think he'd be great on special teams.
I think that they did sign the bangle safety.
Yup, right.
Tyson Anderson.
That's like your PJ lock replacement.
Again, if he wins, even that job.
Well, so I think that Bud Clark could absolutely do that
if we're out more.
Right.
So again, that's kind of where I'm at in terms
of this roster, like upgrading everything,
from the bottom down.
If you can improve on Guy 53 with a pick in the draft,
you take that guy to improve the quality of the roster overall.
And I think Bud Clark makes the Broncos a better football team.
Yeah.
Boy, George Payton's really feeding you, my guys, huh?
He's slipped into the M's, because if you're drafting
Kianta Scott and Bud Clark, you're a George Payton disciple
if I've ever heard of him.
They're good players.
They're good players.
I think we could have probably picked an offensive lineman.
So it would have been fun.
It would have been fun.
I almost did, like Jennings Dunker and I was like,
if he didn't have the hair, you wouldn't pick him.
Let's make this a real thing.
I have a couple honorable mentions on the O-line.
Give me Darryl Jackson, the defensive tackle from Florida State.
He's 6'5, 34 in the three-quarter inch arms,
315 pounds up the combine measured in bigger in season.
He's a guy who's N.A. Uzareque sized
and has that ability to take on double teams.
But also, I think he could play zero through five.
The pressure rate could be better,
but when I watched him in one-on-ones at the Senior Bowl,
as I've said before, to me,
was more dominant than Kayla Banks at a similar size.
I think there is some pass rush upside.
And yeah, in an odd-man front for a defensive front
that's trying to find more bodies that has struggled
defending the run, this guy brings you a lot.
And I think the upside is really high because of that size.
Again, another one of these guys
who he has first round traits,
and he played a ton of snaps for FSU last year.
He's a Miami transfer, so his last year at Miami,
which was like 2023, was his most productive
as far as tackles for a loss.
But he's played a lot of football.
He's productive.
He gets in the backfield and pushes the pocket
more than the stats would show.
I think this guy could be a tremendous,
high upside value pick
in the late second round.
So yeah, give me Darryl Jackson
and I feel great about my four.
My guys, let's take a quick break
and then we're getting into traits superlatives.
Yes.
Our favorite best of in the traits
and we got to build the Broncos

kept the phone I love, and a five-year prize guarantee
for my talk text and data.
Only $25.
I'm going to Metro when we hop off.

exception supply, see site for details.
OK, we are back at the farmhouse.
Breckenridge Brewery taking care of us on this beautiful
Thursday morning.
So yeah, let's get into this trade straf, boys.
You were excited about this one.
Is there a trade that tickled your fancy more than others
that you want to start with?
Or do we just go in the order of the run?
Yeah, go in the order.
OK, let's go best speed rusher of the class.
Who's starting?
I'll throw out.
Oh, yes, hang in there.
Oh, wait, is this draft or we're just
just superlatives?
Just S being.
OK, spitballing.
I mean, I go to the top.
I look at Arville Reese and David Bailey.
Yeah, David Bailey gets off the lot.
I think Arville Reese maybe has the better, just like,
trait, like long term.
But as of now, David Bailey, quick first step,
gets up field.
I think as of now, better speed rusher.
And that makes him best in the class.
Yeah, maybe Arville Reese more explosive.
Maybe Arville Reese better speed to power.
David Bailey is going to enter the NFL
and I think already be on the short list
of the best speed rushers in the entire league
from day one.
Yep, yep.
And then shout out Harold Perkins, who's been doing that thing
at LSU for three years now.
He's so undersized, so he better be among the best speed rushers
in this class.
But yeah, I think he also, and my boy, Romello Height,
I think, also gets some.
I think David Bailey is pretty much the answer.
I'm going to nominate Cassius Howell, however.
I appreciate that.
That's a great one.
That's a great one.
That's a great one.
He does.
He does.
Look, the arm length isn't great.
It's bad.
It's only just above 30 inches.
His size is not a great.
My arms are.
We can do that.
Yeah, we can.
Because they've come by much different.
Yeah, you're going to be surprised, actually.
Well, they're different.
His size isn't great either.
I mean, just in terms of the rest, it's just over six foot,
253 pounds.
So I'm going to be slightly undersized
and the length plays into that.
But sometimes offensive tackles just
can't get their hands on this guy.
Oh, that's true.
He just turns the corner and dips the shoulder, and he's gone.
Yeah, I'm touched.
Shout out David Bailey, but Cassius Howell last night
going through all these guys.
He was a name that I had to mention.
That's a really, really good note.
Let's go to best hands in this class, boys.
And I think this one's going to be divisive.
I think so too.
Because I feel like with hands, there's
a bunch of different ways you can go.
Yeah.
Because that's right.
Definitely.
Omar Cooper, some of the catches he made,
were just insane.
Yeah.
And because of that, he should be in the conversation.
Yeah, it's a great name to throw out there.
Carnell Tate just catches everything.
Yes.
He throws up and he goes and gets it.
Yes, he does.
But also confirmed by looking at the drop rate earlier,
Mackay Lemon catches everything in stride
and just keeps moving and then also never drops
the footpath.
Hair is sure handed, yes.
They do it three different ways, but they're all, I'm torn.
I think you might have to go lemon just in terms
of just best, pure hands.
So yes, in terms of best, pure, like, I don't know,
because there is a lot of different ways you get about it.
Yeah, it's a fun one.
With lemon, it's like that slot reliability, right?
That's what you think of with him
and the hands are a big part of that.
I probably would have said Carnell Tate
in terms of the contested catchability, too.
And just, I mean, the dude is just a complete receiver.
He's got massive hands, too, by the way.
I can't remember what they measured in as, but he's got some mitts
and he's just had some phenomenal catches
through contact the last few years.
The thing is Mackay Lemon has some of those, too.
He does?
Like, he has those in the end zone with, like,
the back shoulder stuff, the up high fade balls,
the difference is just being his size.
Yes.
So you don't really throw them as often,
or the matchup needs to be different,
but in terms of just the pure hands on those plays,
I think you might match it.
I think maybe the best hands in the whole class.
That's a great thing.
And I think in just mitts,
as Mike will trick the Baylor tight end,
another big gold tight end that we love,
he has actual barecloth.
His highlights are some of the best you'll see in this.
I mean, he can just, balls that would bounce off the ground
for anyone else.
His barecloths are able to keep in their mitts and take out.
He also has arms that are longer than, like,
just about every offensive tackle in this class.
Do arms back during the hands?
Yeah, I mean, it does give you a large amount of catch radius.
So I'm gonna just throw them out there.
I also think Chris Bell, maybe a forgotten man
in this one, he has insane hands.
Another caveat, if we're talking just running backs,
Jeremiah Love is a borderline generational
great hands for running back.
Best route runner.
Wait, hold on, can we stick on hands for a second here?
Of course.
So in terms of career drop rates from this class,
guys who really stand out with, like,
a number below a three percent, I guess.
Mackay Lemon, he's at 2.8.
Jeremy Bernard, 2.5% drop rate in his career.
Nardog's a great one to bring up.
He, yes, he can do some stuff to Hank Beatty,
any familiarity?
No, no, Hank, you should know him.
Sorry, bad podcasting here.
Let me see if I can find this guy.
Hank Beatty, Rochester?
Looks like Illinois, actually.
Illinois, oh, yep, Rochester, Illinois converted quarterback.
Wow.
He has a 2.8 career drop rate.
Crazy.
Hank's guy, Michael Wortham, who we talked about earlier,
2.7.
Incredible hands, massive hands, actually.
However, the best in class is a wide receiver
named Cameron Dorner out of North Texas.
He was catching bombs from Drew Mestemaker this year.
He has a career drop rate.
And again, this is context.
He only has one season at the FPS level.
So other guys are just going to have more data.
No drops for him this last year in North Texas.
That's on 56 receptions.
So 1.8% career drop rate.
Yes, 56, 58 receptions for 9.11 yards, 8 touchdowns.
Never forget.
He is kind of a deep threat-ish player.
Catch on the run type of guy.
He ticks some slants to the house.
He is a very dynamic player.
It was a very dynamic player for North Texas.
Size is not great.
But in terms of pure hands.
I love this.
He might be the actual winner.
This is the way to go about this exercise.
Also, real quick, just to stay on this.
I think we have to mention some like edge rushers, too,
in terms of hand usage, right?
Wow.
Like, are we?
Yes.
You know what I mean?
Yes.
So Rubin Bane.
Rubin Bane.
Great hands.
Great hands.
Absolutely.
That's a good one.
Oh, line two, we should talk about.
Yes, yes.
Yes, definitely.
Here I was just looking at the receivers.
I know.
I thought Dre was crazy if we're going to tie this.
But yeah.
Incredible.
This throughout runners.
Jordan Tyson.
Yeah.
Above the rest.
Yeah.
Above the rest.
A guy lemon there, too.
I even think Cornell Tate, maybe he doesn't.
Absolutely.
The credit he deserves.
For a big guy, for sure.
Right.
Shoot.
Add Jeremy Bernard to this category as well.
Definitely.
And Omar Cooper, I think.
Omar Cooper, for sure, is not.
Totally.
Yep.
And who's the other Indian receiver?
Sarah.
A lot of guys who have nice inside outside versatility.
Minus Tate, lemon.
A lot of people are saying maybe slot only, but best
pass protector.
Tough one.
Might be a controversial Tate.
Weird class.
I think I'm taking Monroe Freelings, though.
Monroe Freelings, best pass pro reps
are the best in the class.
No doubt about that.
It's the frame, too, though.
I know I can work with that.
Yep.
But there is more projection.
There is, but you see the flashes in his movement skills.
There's lateral movement and how he's able to recover.
For a big guy, he moves really well and is impressive
with how he recovers and just doesn't get too
over his toes and stuff like that.
So weird class.
Because best hands, best route running, best man cover
corners, it's a lot of the top guys at their position.
Usually, best pass protector would
be a lot of the top guys at their position.
Instead, it's more like Freelings and Lomo.
Like the top guys are more the best run blockers
than they are the best pass protectors.
So give me Caleb Lomo, who I think
has become kind of the forgotten man.
But I think in pass pro, did a really nice drop.
One of the few guys who kind of put David Bailey
in his place, Spencer Fanos, who Bailey picked on more
in that Utah game than Lomo.
Spencer Fanos, kind of a pick here, too.
I know he's kind of a decisive player
at this time, but he flashes in that area.
And I think you can see like the smoothness from him, too.
I like it.
Let's go to best man corners.
Maybe the most boring one, it really
has Mansour Delaney and German McCoy.
I would throw out Colton Hood.
He is born to play press man.
It's a good one.
He is feisty as hell.
He gets his hands on the football.
He makes plays on the football.
I mean, he is someone who, I mean, Colorado is kind of lucky.
They had him maybe as a third or fourth corner two years ago.
That guy can play, man.
Ponds grades out really well in man coverage.
Because of the traits, though, he kind of falls
into the Spencer Fanos pass pro category where it's like,
he did do well.
You don't have that projection.
That's why I was asking you, as far as
you do, the Broncos play too much man for Ponds
to be an outside corner.
I like your mom, McCoy.
He's just insane.
That's you're coming around, I think.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I mean, if not for the injury,
we'd be having different conversations,
but I think he's just insane.
I came across a cut up last night of him
against Jeremiah Smith in that playoff game
a couple years ago.
He held up.
Impressive.
He held up.
Yeah.
His tape is as good as anyone in this class.
Not just corners.
Let's go to our next traits.
Our next traits brought to us by new build.
We're going to build the Broncos thanks
to new build restoration and construction.
When that home emergency hit new build restoration
and construction will be there at nublt.com or 720902747
to let them know DMBR sent you.
Sorry, please.
We never did best power rusher.
No, we didn't.
First off, shout out Ruben Bane.
Yeah, right.
No, no, no, no, no.
Mesa door, I think, is up there too.
Yeah, Zion Young.

Ion, Ion's Ion, like a lion.
His hands are heavy as hell, man.
Yeah.
He just hands.
Could be, too, that could be.
He just runs through people.
His senior book clips.
He had one where he just absolutely flattened to do that.
Yeah, no doubt.
And I mean, that's an area the Broncos
could be looking at to replace JFM.
It's the best power rushers.
He's kind of got the size to project into that role, I think,
too.
How big is he?
We've talked about him.
He's 6'5, but he's only 2'60 something.
But like, yeah.
But again, right, here's 6'5.
You can add some weight, and then all of a sudden you are.
So that ties into building the Broncos
because the power rusher fits.
But let's go to the traits.
Not a clear cut trait.
It's the most George Payton and Sean Payton-like prospects.
Right.
Who do you want to start with, George or Sean?
Let's start, Sean.
Yeah.
OK.
So first of all, Kenyan's a geek.
Like, just the athleticist.
Yeah, I'm a bad spot.
Yeah, that's fair.
That's a guy.
He would just totally love.
And that's where my mind goes first.
Because when I think Sean, I think it's
those kind of gadget-y type offensive players.
Yes.
And then I was thinking of Joker's as well.
And then also, like, just big guys in the trenches.
Yeah.
But that's what I mean.
I think the easiest set and forget.
As Jeremiah loved, Kenyan's a geek or just perfect.
Yeah.
Um, let me say Jonah Coleman, who we've already talked about,
I think first.
Of course.
Like, if you loved RJ Harvey, you love Jonah Coleman.
Yeah.
And then you have him pulled up.
I was ready to talk about him as well.
Let's do it.
Riley Noah Kowski.
Yeah.
Limebacker, fullback, mostly offense,
fullback tight ends out of Indiana.
Where's number 37?
Yes.
All over the field.
This year, he had 32 receptions, 387 yards and two touchdowns.
He even had two rushing touchdowns as well.
Again, that fullback versatility.
That is a, this is a Sean Payton dream player.
This is a creative player for Sean Payton.
You can put this guy on the field and you
can shift into 21 into 12 personnel with him.
How many players like that exist in the NFL right now?
He actually has some decent hands.
He is slightly undersized if you look at the rass
and stuff, but his speed grade, like, he's not
like no one with the ball on his hands.
Yeah.
He can do a little bit of damage, especially on like some,
especially like play action, like roll out type throws
where he's like the underneath option,
like get him with a head of steam.
But I think he'd be a plus blocker.
I think he's someone that would make the tight end room better.
And I think he'd be a great just tool for Sean Payton.
Like, imagine this guy's like a punt protector or something.
Like, he'd be a fake punt, like alert type of guy.
So I didn't just think he could do so much with him.
His blocking brings so much.
And then the fact that he's that good as a pass catcher,
if you project him as just a fullback,
that's more receiving shops than most fullbacks have.
Even the top guys in the NFL right now.
So I love him.
I love Eli Hendrick for him.
We've talked about him as a Sean Payton player.
He's the running back slash wide receiver for Navy.
Had 941 receiving yards last season with six touchdowns
on just 51 grabs.
He also has 169 career ruchting just carries
for 1,157 rushing yards, 6.8 career average
rush yards per rush, seven rushing touchdowns.
He's awesome, man.
It's how he got that rushing production
though that I think makes him a Sean Payton player.
I mean, kind of like your Montana guy, honestly.
They're just a variety of ways.
You can move them all over.
Yeah, jet sweeps, like all that type of stuff.
Like he'd just be a fun player.
Any six foot 206 and a willing blocker.
So you can line him up anywhere.
You can trust them to block for you.
Would be a perfect fourth wide receiver slash gadget
running back for this offense.
Definitely.
I mean, shoot, maybe it takes over the pass pro reps
in your back field.
I think he could be a true like slash player
in terms of running back for a receiver.
He also has four pass attempts in his career.
Not one went for a completion.
But you return kicks for a little bit one year as well.
I thought so too, but yeah, nine pun returns.
But 54 yards, nothing a right home about.
Are those all the Sean guys that really jump out to you?
Big receivers.
Yes.
I wonder if Malachi fields could be like right up his alley.
Chris Bell.
Ted first.
Right, because they almost have to be just like not
all that explosive either.
You know, not can't have too much like wiggle to it.
I can't have too much like literally just like a big.
It's the big route runners.
Elijah Sirot, right?
Like the back shoulder tap.
Yeah, yes, yes.
That's a great one.
Let's go over to Georgia's side, which honestly,
I think you guys all said in your guys draft.
Yeah, let's just go to the cornerbacks.
Like he has got for sure, Bud Clark, for sure.
The fact that those guys are like physical nickels
who can be lined up anywhere and have on ball production
really sands out in the Angel of Bonds, I think as well.
Absolutely, I think he fits.
Like if you love Jade Baron, you got to love the Angel of Bonds.
Right.
I think Ticario has no two ways about it.
Ticario Davis could be a little kind of a draft diamond
for George Payton as well.
Now he's a big lanky coin.
He is.
So make the case.
I mean, same thing.
I mean, we can't keep drafting nickels forever.
He's going to have to draft another position
in the secondary event.
He was a fan of Pat Zotan.
Exactly.
And Riley Moss.
I feel like in Minnesota, they kind of drafted a lot
of big taller outside guys, though.
That's where that one came from.
I like that one.
Yeah, outside of the DBs, I don't know.
This George really have a type.
He's gone after some pretty athletic, well,
it may be underrated edge guys between Cooper, Bonito,
Drew Sanders.
It'd be like, honestly, Jason Barham, maybe,
for Michigan's George Payton type guy.
Yeah.
Harold Perkins.
And I don't know.
I know.
But at least when I think of George Payton type guys,
after the secondary, the first thing
that I think of in the draft when it comes to him
is they go after captains, man.
They go after guys who have played a lot of football.
Those are the things that stick out to me when I think of George Payton.
So Bryce Lance, I think, would be just
an example of a player we talked about earlier.
Bud Clark with how long he played football.
He was a captain on that defense.
You know what I mean?
Players like that are who I kind of think.
Right, stayed at the same school for all their years.
Bonus building the Broncos trade question,
best returners in this class, especially if Marvin, you know,
trade or it's Zachariah Branch.
Zachariah Branch.
Way up there.
Yeah.
Makai Lemmon.
Yeah, absolutely.
Yes.
Jadorian Price.
Way up there.
Did conceptually on return.
One guy we haven't talked about though is
Kayden Wetchon, the Iowa returner wide receiver.
He has 954 punt return yards in his career.
Four of those per touchdowns.
He has 1,500 kickoff return yards.
Two of those per touchdowns.
He's a little like guy from Iowa.
Let's go.
So you've got that going for you.
And then Barian Brown from LSU.
Yes.
Yes.
He was a Kentucky player.
Goes to the Tigers.
Gultagas.
One of the fastest players in the country.
Yeah.
And his kickoff return.
Six career kickoff return touchdowns.
Almost 2,000 return yards in his career.
He's under size, 511, 185, Nashville, Tennessee, native.
So yeah, I wanted to throw that out because I think maybe we
haven't thought of returners as much.
But those are some good ones.
It does make me wonder.
It's Jadorian Price, more of a Broncos guy,
than we give him credit for because of that return ability.
I think he is, bro.
I've liked him since the season as a terms of a guy that we should
add.
That's true.
Was there any other traits that you guys are like, ah, we
didn't get to do this one?
We didn't get to IQ.
Yeah.
Yeah, give me the highest IQ for now.
But then Caleb Downs comes up right after.
Yes, I agree with Caleb Downs.
That's a great pick.
I throw in, if we're doing that, then
I'm not throwing the Toledo kid, a manual McNeil Warren.
I mean, he is, in terms of reading, he's pretty quick with it.
Obviously, it's a lower level.
I've been like, we'd always go linebackers with like Jacob Rod
Regars, Thenderman, Parker Brails, Ford, some centers.
Oh, yeah.
Connor Liu, Logan Jones, seemed like pretty high IQ guys.

I'm realizing on the rundowns, we had a day three gems
and favorite sleepers.
We'll have to get to that one next week.
And Hank, we'll have to get to the prospects we hate.
Long list.
I'll make those notes as soon as we're done with this show,
so we don't forget.
So many different reasons to hate a prospect.
Yeah.
Oh, you could lean into anything.
Out of Brandel.
He just gives you like six different ways
to get three and a half yards.
The cleanse of the run.
Nothing that actually matters.
That comp just scares me away right away.
Tell the people at the comp us.
Diet Coke for Shod White.
How was that useful to Ross?
That is not useful.
Yeah, I feel like Shod White's already a diet Coke.
Exactly.
Running back himself.
I hate Eric Gentry.
Six foot six is all he has.
Oh, I mean, I love to.
I remember when USC got him, I was like, this is awesome.
But no, he's just useless.
He's only tall.
You can't keep spoiling your list.
He's also six.
I have seven.
I feel like, right?
Oh, yeah, we've got some sun devil love.
Okay, we can do that one next show.
And then maybe we should start doing these position previews,
boys.
I think it's time.
I think it's really time.
The draft less than a month away now.
Less than a month away.
When are we going to address this?
Why does it take so long for the draft to happen
after like to combine everything?
We just do pro days for like forever.
You think we should do it earlier.
You know what?
Well, look, the big 12 puts on a pro day.
What if the conferences just put on like another mini combine?
And we can just some teams have enough
to like sustain a pro day.
Like go, go, I like having the team pro day.
Where you throw to your guys.
You're out there.
There's a few of them every, like the Miami one this year,
for sure.
Like Ohio State, of course, but like,
oh, we have a, we have a super chat
from the legend, Pure Lapine,
who always sends us a mock for us.
So second round, he's draft in Eli Stowers.
That's Pure Lapine's guy.
That is his guy.
Third round, trade of either Moss or Franklin.
Wow.
And you get Mike Washington Jr. with that one.
We like Mike Washington as well, yeah?
Fourth round, you take Indiana linebacker, Aiden Fisher.
Baller.
Fourth, you get an OT.
Sixth and IOL, interior offensive lineman.
The three seventh rounders, best special team,
options available, which might be some of the returners.
We just talked about Pure Lapine.
Love that from Pure Lapine.
He's the true G.
I love you guys all tuning in on the Toyota chat
and talking through this all.
Hank Scott, you covered on Broncos here in a half hour.
