The Denver Broncos made ways by trading for Miami Dolphins, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle

on Tuesday.

They sent over their first round pick at number 30 overall, a third rounder this year,

and swapped fourth round picks to land him.

Waddle is just 27 years old and heading into his sixth NFL season after being picked

sixth overall out of Alabama.

He posted three straight 1,000 yard seasons early on, though his numbers dipped last year

amid Miami's quarterback struggles and coaching.

Changes?

This deal works out salary cap wise for Denver too.

Waddle's base pay hit $16.6 million in 2026, but his cap hit is only $5.9 million thanks

to how Miami structured his extension.

The Dolphins are stuck eating $26.3 million in dead money.

Now Bo-Nix gets a true number one receiver to pair with Courtland Sudden, easing double

teams and boosting offense alongside Titan Evan Ingram, and running back JK Dobbins.

It gives young guys like Marvin Mims more time to develop without as much pressure.

Fans and analysts see this as a smart all-in move for the next couple years while Nix is

on his rookie deal.

The Broncos still hold plenty of draft picks and aim to contend now with the more balanced

attack.
