Browns' Bold Mock Draft: Tate, Cisse, Tiernan

0:00On March 31st, ESPN draft guru Matt Miller dropped his latest seven-round mock, and he's got the Browns eyeing some bold moves with their number six, and number 24 picks. The team needs help at Y receiver and offensive tackle big time, so he's projecting Ohio State receiver Carnell Tate to fill that first gap early. At number 24, though, which they got in that trade with Jacksonville last year, Miller surprises everyone by taking South Carolina cornerback. Brandon Sissy, that's wild since Denzel Ward just balled out and they added Tyson Campbell to pair with him. Most analysts see the Browns grabbing tackles like George's Monroe Freeling or Utah's Caleb Lomu right there, but Miller calls Freeling a reach at. Six and says there's no value, jumping on a tackle so soon when other spots scream louder. His reasoning? This cornerback class has four or five studs of top, then a huge drop off, while solid tackles linger into day two. Plenty of value later, without forcing it early.
