We felt you're in the ass. I'm not eating five this morning.
Wanting to get right back to playing, to winning, and he had goals in mind.
He certainly wanted to be part of the Olympic team.
But most importantly, he was ready to go from day one of camp.
Thankfully he was at camp and was ready to go.
And just just refocus. Hit the reset button.
Put the work in and be the goalie we know he's capable to be.

We've released the hounds.
We'll go to calls opening segment if you're ready, which I'm sure you will be.
We'll fill some of the time with some opening takes.
Mass and Murray are alongside here from our town for entire studios.
Hi guys. Hi Mike.
Hello. Hi. I'll go first quickly as we head into the playoffs here with the Bruins and the Sabers.
Nice little sample case for one of the many philosophical hockey arguments we've had on this show.
The show over the years.
And where I stand, I am medically opposed to many of you.
And well, one of them is the value of the NHL draft or the efficacy.
If that's even the right word of the modern NHL draft, which I'm happy to continue that conversation because I'm right.
And I've never been more right.
That is one.
And the other is the role and the importance of gold tending and how much you need to spend on it and how should you build your team.
I am one who believes.
Backed by the facts.
That overpaying a net is a mistake.
And the best goalies don't win.
The best teams win.
And I'd rather have.
I'd rather have a legit number one franchise defenseman than a quote unquote legit number one franchise goalie.
I don't know that thing.
So Bruins Sabers. Nice little case study.
Jeremy Swaman is one of the best goalies in the league.
He'll be a Vesna finalist.
He's one of the highest paid goalies in the league.
He's one of the best goalies in the league statistically traditional stats.
He's one of the best goalies in the league in the advanced metrics entering.
And again, I just took this from Pluto.
I didn't update it because I wouldn't even know where to go or how to do it.
But entering the season finale.
Jeremy Swaman had 26.4 goals saved above expected.
That's the second highest in the league.
The goalie that you were going up against.
Uca Peca, Luke and in.
Had a goals saved above expected of 10.5.
I don't know where that ranks, but that's towards the bottom of the league.
Furthermore, you want to go traditional stats.
Jeremy Swaman.
Doesn't really have much better numbers than Luke and in.
But Jeremy Swaman started 54 games.
He is in this modern era.
Pretty much every day.
He's still, you know, these are all glorified platoon guys.
But Swaman did start 54 games.
Two seven goals against 907 say percentage.
Luke and in only 34 starts.
Two five goals against 909 say percentage.
But Swaman is more your classic franchise goalie.
He certainly paid like it.
Jeremy Swaman $8.25 million per year.
Luke and in around half of that 4.7.
So Luke and in Maz is like your classic middle of the pack goalie.
Yep.
Middle of the pack statistically.
Middle of the pack financially.
Middle of the pack with your eyeballs.
Jeremy Swaman is a high end goalie.
Both statistically and how he's paid.
Let's see you win a series on goal tending.
That's what it's about, right?
I mean, what's the point of paying double in net than the next team?
If the goal tending doesn't close the gap in talent between the teams?
Let's see it.
Let's see this little case study.
Shall we 617779095?
Who's next?
Murray, I'll go it. I'll go quickly.
Okay.
We'll do this fast.
Red Sox come home with the 7 and 11 record.
They play seven games now in the next seven days against two teams that were in the playoffs a year ago.
Detroit in New York.
Both in Fenway at Fenway Park.
And you'll be happy to know that the Red Sox pitching and defense philosophy.
Run prevention has landed them with a starting rotation that ranks 26th in the major leagues in ERA.
The next seven days they will face.
Tarik Scoubel,
Framber Valdez,
Luis Hill, Max Fried,
Kim Schlitler.
Five of the best starters in the American League.
Come and atcha.
Seven days in a row.
Just to repeat.
Scoubel Valdez,
Luis Hill,
Max Fried,
Kim Schlitler.
Good luck.
See you on Wednesday.
Murray.
Murray, your thoughts.
So we have now reached the point with the, uh,
Mike Rabel, Diana Rucini story,
where you have an outlet like USA today firing a reporter for having the audacity to call out Diana Rucini,
who was fired from her position or stepped down using air quotes.
Chrissy Freud, we mentioned her before.
Um, she was almost immediately critical of Rucini after her resignation slash firing tweeting in part.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
We know who you really are and what you've been up to for years.
So she finds out she's fired last night.
She reaches out to TMZ saying her post didn't stem from any kind of vendetta against Diana Rucini.
He wasn't actively waiting for the perfect moment to call her out instead.
Uh, once she posted the resignation, Chrissy felt she quote could finally say something without being the only one.
Look, this Chrissy Freud, if you read about her a little bit,
this has come out too.
Is she the perfect person to be calling out Diana Rucini?
Maybe not.
Uh, she's got skeletons.
Who doesn't?
She was apparently dating a Saints backup quarterback.
She admitted to this.
They broke up during COVID in 2020.
She ratted him for not following the stupid COVID protocols he got cut.
But that's kind of besides the point.
She got fired for speaking out for her opinion, which I don't like seems harsh.
But I'd like to know why and this is the bigger point.
Why are big media companies like USA today, among others looking at you at ESPN as well.
So terrified to touch this story with any even semblance of opinion from anyone that covers the league or has anything to do with the NFL.
Is it because Diana Rucini as I've speculated has dirt on her peers?
And it's this mutually assured destruction thing or is it the heavy hand of the NFL that's influencing this?
There's something more here and who knows, but I just know the longer this story goes on and we're now what two weeks into it.
The more it stinks and I just feel like it's getting bigger and it's more curious like what why people won't touch it.
And as far as Chrissy Freud's concern, I hope she gets a wrongful termination lawsuit going because it feels to me that this was way too harsh that she lost her job over this tweet.
So we'll give you more. We'll read the full stories on this Chrissy Freud.
This is an interesting. They'll fall out here in the last 24 hours on the story.
So that's on the board as well. So everything from the week is back on the table today or anything else you want to bring up fresh by all means 617-779-0985.
Let's do two questions with Scott right out of the shoe. Go ahead Scott.
I would like to talk about John Smith.
I would like to see him come back to the Patriots and number two of the question is how long do you think that Jones will be with the San Francisco 49ers?
Okay. Scott is the same time he's called on John Newsmith. I don't know why he's so third time not sure why he's obsessed with John Newsmith.
Maybe because he sucked so bad here and then actually went elsewhere and you noticed him every now and then.
Which is about all like I mean people like all look at him now. I mean he was he ever. He was Miami right Miami and then he was last with the Steelers.
Pittsburgh. Yeah. Yeah. And every now and then you noticed him.
So it's like, oh, where would Huckney wasn't doing that here, but what did he really do? Not a lot.
He still sucks. Scott. Love you. But I think he sucks. Just draft another tie down. Do you need John Newsmith here?
No. Okay. Mac Jones. He's still backing up in San Francisco. That's why I don't.
I'm building a place for him actually. It is backing up. Yeah. Billy and Brandon. Go ahead. Billy. What do you got?
Hey, guys. Can you hear me? Yes. Yeah. For the Red Sox. I was going back and forth on who would have blamed me at the end of the day.
It's John Henry. If you look at the team at this inexperienced, even like chorus inexperienced and handling with young kids. And I think the GM.
They hired the GM and for a big organization like the Red Sox. They got to hire more experienced GM. I think it's inexusable.
I think it's not the only thing on the list, but it's where it starts. Yeah. Look at it. Well, I think it's rare that you can look into an organization and say the entire philosophy is flawed and draw the line all the way up to bottom.
Yeah. And draw the line all the way back to ownership. And to me, the core principle of that ownership now is we are not going to sign mega deals that will expose us to dead money at the back.
And we're not going to do it. And that is affected their entire operation. So if you ask me, what is it the root of the problem? It's their unwillingness to go out and compete for star talent. They don't want to do it anymore.
How about our buddy Tommy in land Tommy. What do you got to say today?
All right. This is what I got to say today. Felga. Swaman's been playing really good this year after the break. And he's the way to be this year in the playoffs.
He's going to take the team five on his back. And Felga finally turning a point where you said you like agon. I did.
Two weeks ago, you were back to them and you were saying, oh, he's going to back. I wasn't.
East play is soft. DC play is soft. So come on man. This is enough. This is another time he said, what he is playing.
That's the same thing about backwards. Celebrity.
Yeah. Maclin. Celebrity is a good player. But what don't give me another conversation. Listen Tommy.
I'm just going to tell tea like it is. BC hockey players are generally soft and not my cup of tea.
I can't figure many that I liked Brian leech. I think it was the greatest American born hockey player ever. I loved Brian leech.
Undefense. Other than that, I'm sorry. I just I think they come out of their softest puppy crap.
And that's just in my experience. Even putting aside my BU bias where I went to school. Just think of it. Use your head.
Name me a tough, gritty, gutty kid from BC Kevin Stevens.
So I'm just going on history. And yes, I'm a PCist like Murray would look at a quarterback coming out of Oregon.
Great. And saying don't trust him. So that's how I feel about BC. Well, then, you know, unlike Murray.
Oh, this is where I break from Murray. Murray will just keep doing that just to try and be right or like not change all actually watch it.
And then tell you what I my eyes actually show you. I've been the most right on those organ quarterbacks.
And so what can I tell you? Hegans looks good. He does more little things than I've seen.
A young BC player do. He did more little things right in two games than I've in a lifetime of watching BC.
Weenies come into the league and float around out there doing nothing. So I can only tell you what I see.
Yeah, see, so you can actually look past it.
Correct. Exactly. I'm bigger. I'm above that. Unlike you people.
How about Joey and Weymouth with the Red Sox stock. Go ahead, Joey.
You're not the cross sports, but I don't get why we're not talking about Tristan Cossus.
We got Jason Tatum with snatches and killies. And he's back before the regular season is done to make the playoffs.
But then we got Cossus to not even come back and not even close to come back. Did he get surgery or did he try to heal it by putting his feet on the ground?
I thought we'd park. I don't get it. Yeah, what I've tuned it out with Tristan Cossus because I think he's like a lost cause.
Yeah, no, he had another side injury that came from swinging a bat and he's out for an extended period of time again.
He needs to take more mental swings.
Of course, the last time he was dealing with something. I mean, I've given up. Like that one's over, I think.
I don't know where you go now. You know, I mean, this is another guy that I look at and say they were looking to deal him a couple of years ago.
And they didn't pull the trigger and they should have. So they keep making these mistakes with players.
They evaluate them. They think they're going to turn into something great. And there's this flaw that somehow rears its ugly head.
And they've waited too long and now they're left holding their Johnson's.
Tristan Cossus, give me a break. Jack and Boston on swimming. Yes, Jack.
Hey guys, thank God that Jeremy Swamin paid off. You know that Tim Thomas is $5 million hit with lower at the time in 2009.
To Henrik Longkist, Kim Ward, Ryan Miller, and Ilya Britz-Galov. I think the days are over getting, you know, a bargain gold tender from the weeds.
What makes you say that Swamin's contract is paid off?
Are you kidding me? That's it. That's all you need. So he's in the second year of like an eight year contract.
Year one, he sucked, sucked, not even representative and they missed the playoffs.
Yeah, he's been pretty good and now they're in the playoffs. What if they lose in the first round to Ukepeca lookin' in.
Who makes half the amount of money that he does and is half the goalie that he has been some statistical measures.
What's your, we finally see Swamin being worth it. I'm sorry. No, he's not even close to proving that. He's had a nice year.
This is when you really prove it. Boy, that guy's easy. I'm telling you, my goodness. Greg in the car for Mass quickly.
Good afternoon, guys. Mass regarding your opening take. This one's for John Henry.
You suck. Thank you.
I'm just telling you look again. There's no way to predict what's going to happen in these games, but this team hasn't been able to hit.
They haven't been able to pitch and the Tigers have their own issues, but they're going to see four or five of the best times in the league in the next week.
I'm interested. So they better get their act together fast. To me, the story is not the posing pictures.
To me, the story is what does Garakrochet look like because if that was not a one off there in Minnesota or his velocity issues, you know, keep an eye on that.
That goes Sunday. That might be the most important thing of this week is does he return to form or what?
So we are often running on a gender free Friday back to your phones right after this.
You know the place. Everything can turn in a moment in Augusta. One swing, one hole and the entire leaderboard shifts.
That's what makes this week perfect for live betting.

Now, more of Felgar and Man. I talk to a source close to Diana. That's how I will label this source.
And the source close to Diana told me that they, this is the source, believes it was a private investigator that took the photos of Diana in variable.
And they, the source, believes that without question, the PI was hired by Diana's husband.
Again, I talked to a source close to Diana and the source close to Diana told me.
And it's what they, I'm not saying Diana believes this or Diana told the source, I'm just telling you this is a source close to Diana.
And I was told it was a PI and it was the husband.
And apparently the source close to Diana told me that the husband has a bunch of money and this is not about money because he has plenty of it.
So the source close to Diana tells me that it was a PI. It wasn't some Johnny hotel visitor with his phone.
Now it was a PI and they believe the source that the PI was hired by Diana's husband.
And the source tells me that Diana's husband doesn't need the money in the divorce because he's already loaded.
So this is about more than money according to the source.
Have we settled on the, were those telephoto lens professional camera or iPhone photos from the rooftop?
Still speculation.
Still, that's still up.
I'm going with the word of my buddy who is, who does photography on the side, who believes that that was a high powered lens from a real camera, not an iPhone or something like that.
Still, he still does.
I'll tell you what, I think it's all in place.
Like it could have been some combination of all of them.
Let's just play with the thing that it's a PI.
There was one shot of rabble walking right by someone who looked like like from a lower angle.
Yeah, no, well, that was someone in a, in a lounge chair just looking at a phone.
Right. Or like someone said today maybe wearing a pair of sunglasses had one of those cameras on them.
Something that because their photos aren't allowed there.
How do you not have those, man?
You, you must have those.
I don't have those.
You got to be thankful.
Glasses with the camera.
No, I don't have those.
I have ones that I have radio in them, but I don't have the ones that have a camera.
No, someone raised it out in the hallway today.
I'm not really there's glasses that have cameras.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, it's all kind of stuff that I do.
Google Glass, I believe is what they are.
Sure, there's a million, there's like a million things like that.
But if you can't take pictures there, meaning that no one's going to hold up a phone.
It's hotel policy, right?
Right.
Then maybe someone's wearing sunglasses and did it that way.
Well, anyway, there was a fascinating sidebar to this.
There is a USA Today reporter who has been sort of chirping at Racini since this thing broke.
She did it last week with something and then after Racini resigned, Racini resigned this week.
Chrissy Freud is her name.
Chrissy Freud who is a freelance college football bar winner writes for USA Today and other publications.
Posted a tweet in response to Racini's letter and she went after her pretty good.
This is what Chrissy Freud wrote earlier this week.
Quote, I'm sure you were told to submit this or that you'd get fired instead.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
We know who you really are and what you've been up to for years.
It does so much detriment to women in sports who have done things the right way.
I want to she went on to say that.
I want to first say that I am so thankful and outlet does have the audacity to do a story on Diana Racini being called out.
She deserves to have been and all of us do know what she's been up to.
From fights with other reporters in Chili's parking lots about hooking up with married NFL coaches to everything else.
It is almost certainly all true.
It was the worst kept secret in the NFL reporting world for a while.
From fights with other reporters in Chili's parking lots about hooking up with married NFL coaches.
I heard about the fight. I didn't know where it was. I didn't know it was a Chili's parking lot.
That's out. There's good detail there.
Yeah.
You can just pitch right.
You're all.
Hands.
I know your estimate.
Hands and hair going all over the place.
I wonder what they had to eat.
Freud goes on to say baby back ribs.
Someone once propositioned me to have Diana potentially be my mentor.
I declined because I knew what she was about and her track record.
I will say there's a line.
Again, this is still her statement.
This is still what she posted on the resignation.
I will say there's a line she wrote.
All right.
So you probably have seen a lot of people coming after me.
I'll be transparent and I would love to use this as the greatest example.
I had a strong relationship with former quarterback JT Daniels.
That is anyone would imagine under those circumstances did include multiple sexual encounters.
And there was a lot involved.
However, JT and I didn't begin that relationship until after he was out of football.
I can honestly say I have never slept with a player or coach for professional gain.
Diana cannot say the same.
That's where the differences end quote.
So that was a doozy.
So she was hooking up and this JT Daniels used to be the Georgia quarterback or whatever.
She went to Georgia.
So they had a relationship.
She admits to it.
I love how she says I had a strong relationship with Daniels that as anyone would imagine
under those circumstances did include multiple sexual encounters.
As if to say like well, yeah, of course.
I don't quite get the wording of that.
Okay.
So maybe the words aren't entirely her strength.
But she said I give her credit for a minute.
She said I can honestly say I have never slept with a player or coach for professional gain.
Well, key phrase there for professional gain because you admitted to sleeping with.
Right. Well, anyway, so this gal is going right out.
Roostini USA today fired this gal today.
Chrissy Freud.
They fired her.
USA today tweeted out today USA today sports has ended its contract a relationship with Chrissy Ford.
Freud effective immediately.
Her recent statements do not reflect our commitment to professionalism or uphold our principles of ethical conduct.
Chrissy Freud responded to that firing.
By saying I regret I regret zero of what I said and stand beside it.
Again, she's not exactly.
You know, stand behind it.
Yeah.
Not beside it.
You stand behind it.
Chrissy standing beside it.
Would it.
You don't you don't stand beside something.
You stand behind.
Either way, poor poor choice of words.
Hey, listen.
But I love that she's basically saying, look, I back up what I'm saying here.
Chris.
But I regret zero of what I said and I stand beside it.
I feel I've been very transparent and did nothing wrong.
Be bold and speak out.
Will it make a martyr out of you?
Maybe.
But some things are worth it.
And some are not.
This was.
And the statement.
So we now we got this little thing.
So I'm Tonya.
I'm Maria alluded to this.
I do wonder or not wonder whether or not she has grounds for wrongful termination.
I'm not sure she.
So I'll tell you.
You know, it sounds like she was freelancing for him.
Okay.
Well, then that's different.
You know, I don't know.
Can you sue for being let go as a freelancer?
Probably not.
No, and that's maybe that's why they did it.
Maybe.
I mean, maybe that's why they were, you know, they weren't afraid to do it.
But, you know, look again, I mean, I think there are a lot of women that feel like she does.
And I just think she happens to be the one that verbalized it for everybody else.
But there are a ton of women in the business who are careful how they conduct and handle themselves
because even the slightest thing can be perceived the wrong way by guys who are envious.
And so, you know, good for her for speaking up about it.
What a story.
Georgia New Hampshire.
Go ahead.
Yeah, Mike.
I just can't understand people have everything going for them.
And it can be so reckless and self-destructive.
I.E. Mike Raeble.
I just, I'm in the minority here.
But I don't see how he survives this, Mike.
Oh, he's really don't.
He survives it.
He does.
He will survive it.
But to your initial point, I mean, is he reckless, cocky, like, you know, feeling himself
and just, I can do it.
You know, he's begin to feel, you have a good year as an NFL coach and do what they did this year
and just sort of walk around like your bulletproof.
Nothing can touch him, right?
That's clear based on the statement he put out after the photos were released
and he called speculation about them laughable.
That's as cocky as it gets.
Oh, that's what you think of this?
That's laughable.
And he definitely has that quality.
Look, as part of what got him fired in Tennessee, was that whole sort of attitude that I'm the man I'm in control
and the rest of you can go to hell.
It can come off that way.
Now, look again, I can't speak to the depth of the transgression because I don't know what his home life is like.
For all I know, they've been separated.
I have no idea.
And I'm not telling you it's a smart move either way because it's not.
But, you know, whatever.
It's a bad look for Brable either way, no matter what.
But he'll survive it.
Here's an update with Big Jim and we're right back on a gender free Friday.

It doesn't mean it's going to go smoothly.
It's not linear path.
As you reference some teams that you get stuck there.
And the fear of getting stuck there.
It's not going to resonate very well in this town to turn around and say,
well, we're going to be on a five-year rebuild.
We just felt that with the core of our group,
if we could do our jobs as a staff and bring in and make us more competitive
and put structure in place that we would be competitive and be knocking on the door.
We were playoff driven.
We want to win.
We want to be in a position to win.
And now we have a chance to do that.
We are at the doorstep again.
And our group deserves a lot of credit.
But it's not easy.
You pointed it out well.
It's not easy to make the playoffs nationally.
Do you want to keep arguing about the value and the efficacy?
Is that the right word, Mass?
Sure.
Of the NHL draft of going to the bottom of the league and drafting
and drafting top five players.
We can still do it.
617-7790-95.
Yesterday, to try and give you a break,
I made this sample huge.
I said, give me the number of top 10 picks the last 20 years
who were central figures and winning their teams in Stanley Cup.
20 years.
And so that opened up.
You know, I got a million emails.
You know, Patrick Kane, Drew Dowdy, Sydney Crosby.
Okay.
Yeah, so I said 20 years just to give you a break.
20 years.
Okay.
So maybe 20 years ago, you wanted to do that.
How about the last 10?
Last decade.
The last decade.
In the last decade, how many teams sucked for a multiple
for a extended period of time, drafted in the top five,
built their team around those top five picks,
and then won a cup with those top five picks.
There's only one or two teams.
Colorado.
Last decade, I'll give you Colorado.
And I'll give you Colorado because of Cal McCart.
Nathan McKinnon was drafted in 2013.
And they didn't win until 2022.
So it took him nine years only after Cal McCart.
But I will give you Colorado and Cal McCart.
I will.
I will give you that.
And because it's the last 10 years,
I will definitely give you Steven Stamco's.
Drafted first overall in 2008.
Took him 12 years.
He ultimately won in 2020.
I would contend again because.
Oh, I see.
So you could draft him outside in 10 years.
It's a cup in the last 10.
Oh, oh, eight is outside of 10 years.
I'm sorry.
So no.
I'm sorry.
I'm like, I felt going mass math.
No, no, no, no.
Drafted the last 10 years.
You're right.
Cal McCart was drafted in 2017.
Okay.
So I'll give you Colorado.
I don't know who else.
I'm not sure there's another team.
I'm not sure there's another team in the last 10 years.
Again, 10 years.
I have to do my math in my head.
I don't know why I would give you Stamco's
when it was drafted in08.
No.
It's Colorado.
Last decade.
One team.
But yet everyone wants to draft me.
We draft picks.
We top five picks.
We.
Malcolm.
McLean Celebrini.
We.
You don't think that's a good pick for them?
That that's not going to turn into.
I do think he's only been in the season.
In two seasons.
He's been in the league two seasons.
If McLean Celebrity based on the history,
the track record, he won't win for a decade.
They had to suck for like six or seven years,
and now they're going to have to wait about a decade
to win with him based on the history.
Because that's just what that's just the way it's gone.
So I mean, yeah, it was a good pick, Murray.
Right.
I'd want McLean Celebrity.
I'm just telling you this is the way it's gone.
The last decade in this league.
So your real point though is not they don't win.
No, but I'm just trying to crystallize it.
Because people will do what Murray just did,
which is say, sorry, you don't want McLean Celebrity.
And it's got nothing to do with the individual.
Pick.
I don't want to be the sharks.
Yeah, you don't want to go to the bottom of the league.
I don't want to be the sharks.
I don't want to suck for at least five years
where you're totally dead.
And then have to wait 10 years to see if the kid can figure it out.
So it's like 15 years.
It's like a lost generation.
I do not want to do it.
It all ties into what the Bruins just did.
A lot of fans thought they would go to the bottom of the league
should go to the bottom.
I mean, so listen, if you're one of these, these dorks,
these draft weaves, you think the Bruins are screwing this up.
So you can't have it both ways.
I think the Bruins did the right thing.
They immediately tried to get back in the playoffs.
They did get back in the playoffs.
They fought to stay in the middle of the league at worst.
And they're going to work their way out of that.
And I think that's the right way to go about it.
I'd much, much rather be the Bruins than the San Jose sharks
with McLean Celebrity.
Well, they've threaded the...
Well, I'd rather have Celebrity and be the sharks and be the Bruins.
But they've threaded the needle really well because of some savvy moves.
It's not just that pick they're going to get from Toronto.
Frazier Minton turns out to be a good player.
And he's 22, whatever the hell he is.
Like, they have some young talent that's going to help this team grow too.
So as much as I've been hard on Sweeney,
and I think rightfully so at times,
his recent moves have paid off and they're paying off going forward.
I didn't expect this season to play out the way that it did.
I wanted them to take at the beginning of the year.
We can keep arguing about this.
I mean, I'm happy too.
You have to go back into the last decade, 20 years ago,
to give me examples of teams that tanked,
bottomed out, drafted high,
and won championships around the players that they drafted.
Again, Eichel's a top five pick.
He won a cup.
He had to be traded.
Barcoff, it took him 11 years, 13 years,
whatever it is, to win a cup.
And...
And he was just a side piece anyway.
Well, I think Barcoff is essential.
I thought you've talked about who's the other pamphlet.
That's what I think that's what it is.
I think that was a side card.
That's what I thought you were talking about.
Some people throw him Patrangelo at me.
I mean, really?
Okay.
I mean, if that's what you're going to...
I don't think Patrangelo...
No, but that's outside of the 10 years, right?
I think it was 08.
Yeah. Yeah.
I mean, that was a while ago.
So I would count him, but that's outside of the 10 years.
Okay.
Like I said, back to your phones on everything.
Seth and the car. Go ahead, Seth.
Hey guys, just a quick thought on the Eichel playoff.
The Eichel playoff format.
I hate this format.
So either Dallas or Minnesota are going to get knocked down
in the first round.
This was the second and third most points in the West.
And then if it was seeded one versus one through E,
the Bruins would be playing Montreal this weekend.
And so we have to go to Buffalo.
Yup.
Get rid of this format.
I'm over it.
I don't agree with you.
I mean, you don't have to like the format,
but I mean, Montreal is a more fun matchup,
but that's all sort of random.
Like I don't know.
I don't mind the Bruins sabers matchup at all.
That's not what I would base it on.
I mean, what he's saying about Minnesota and Dallas, I guess.
Yeah, that central division or whatever.
Yeah.
I get it.
Those are three best teams in the league.
But I do like the fact that you got to kind of fight your way out of the division.
There's something about that in hockey that I like.
At least there's some bad blood.
It done bother me one bit.
It's not like the old days when you had to play off inside of your division.
And there were five teams.
Right?
Remember those days?
The old Adams, it was every year you are facing Buffalo or Hartford or something like that.
And then the second round was Montreal's like every year, that was silly.
There's eight teams in every division.
I don't feel like we've had a repetitive.
You face Florida a couple of years in a row because they're good.
You tend to run into Tampa.
They're good.
I mean, you're getting good matchups with this format.
So he sounds mad about Dallas, Minnesota.
That to me is interesting.
This Philly Pittsburgh series.
That's interesting because of this format.
I think Boston Buffalo is a good matchup.
Yeah.
Yeah.
When he's saying those, you have two of the best teams in the league playing in the first round.
So that's a problem.
It would be, it would be nice if you had higher stakes in that series.
That's also kind of unfair to those teams.
Absolutely.
If you have the third best record in the league, you shouldn't be playing the team with the second best record in the league in the first round.
And nearly said this on the, on, no, it's all that can burn.
He was on it and said he likes the idea of there should be a bigger reward for having a good regular season.
Yeah.
That having to face another high seed in the first round.
There is something to be said for that.
But this is also what makes the NHL playoffs different.
You got to fight no matter who you're playing in the first round.
I'm sorry.
I don't believe anyone around here bitching about it.
You just wanted Bruins Montreal in the first round.
You wanted that.
You still could get it.
But you just wanted it now.
That's what people are mad about.

Wow.
You ready?
I'm ready, mask.
Blue.
I'm throwing blue.
Hit it.
Oh my god, he missed the board.
That one came out of the hand.
Completely missed the board.
You've got to throw again.
That you have to throw again.
That one has to be a redo because we at least have to hit the board.
Yeah.
There has to be some kind of contact.
That was embarrassing, dude.
You can see the mark on the wall.
Oh my god.
You can actually see that.
You did?
God bless.
It's an early release.
That was so bad.
My armor is your problem.
I'm going to step on it.
He's been throwing horribly this year.
I've been really bad.
Mask has been way off.
Big control problems.
But he's going to throw first.
Go ahead, mask.
Okay, color is blue.
Better.
High, a little high, right?
No, I see it.
Okay, mask.
Third and final throw.
Your last one was a little better.
You can see what you got.
Okay, green color, buddy.
Oh my god.
Jesus, man.
What's the matter with you?
I don't know.
I'm going to step on it.
I'm going to step on it.

I'm going to step on it.
I'm going to step on it.
I'm going to step on it.
He hit the camera, oh my god, he missed the board completely missed the board
That's it we're two worst throws I've ever had what's gotten into you age trying to find the
F and page it stuck together oh boy
Mark was in the bathroom
Barthie! Seriously!
Great job Stu. Here's your week one big board recap
My parents are so happy. They paid for that
Money will spend I can't remember single F and player that we've hit this week
I'll give you one that linebacker who looks like he should be working that the pizza parlor. Yeah, Rodriguez
I'm actually into that guy. I actually like that guy now. I want them to take him
He's not just because he's like an interesting character, but I don't know I figure maybe he's like a little bit of a throwback
He doesn't feel like he's got modern
NFL measurable linebacker measurables. He doesn't know you like he looks like he should be handing me a slice
So great and like it's got some colorful or whatever you know, it's just not what you would picture your
You get typical modern-day NFL linebacker to look like and I want to start by like the stash
Don't know about these short and squats like Joe Haggs out there
So yeah, give me that guy. He's supposed to be pretty good
So what's it finished fifth in the Heisman? That's awesome as a linebacker at Texas tech Jacob Rodriguez. I'm in look how small he is actually a tackle
He does he looks like a rooster from the Maverick movie
All right, back to your phones pat in low on the piece go ahead pat
Hey boys, I just got a question. This is passing our first playoffs is the main guy
You know no burger on a Martian and you haven't exactly lit the world on fire in previous runs
How are you guys seeing them handle in that new role good one good?
He needs to stop playing like such an A-hole. Yeah, I mean, I honestly I think and I've been on him for years
And I think it was I think this last month was as bad as I've ever seen it from him cherry picking flying the zone
loose with the puck
Just wanton irresponsible giveaways
Dude, there's I know you know, I love the all the defenders like well the best players of the most turnovers
I'm not giving you the turnover stat. I'm just using my eyes
Yeah, I'm Mick David and McKinnon turned the puck over a lot too because they have the puck a lot
I've seen their turnovers
I've seen David Poisson X turnovers. So have you if you're being honest try it try it
They're not the same
They're just not
Poisson X turnovers
Are not even close have no chance and in some cases are
Just so irresponsible leading to such obvious chances the other way that
They're not the same. I'm sorry. They're not so this all a long way of saying okay, you got your hundred points David
Now it's time to win in the postseason. Let's see if you play winning postseason hockey
I'm interested to see this myself. Well, look so I was just looking up his postseason numbers because you know
Historically the numbers are okay. It's 79 points in 82 games. It's not like oh he puts up points
You know, he get he definitely puts up points. They tend to come in bunches though
Like he has stretches where he gets nothing and the mistakes are horrific
Really he's a sloppy player is what he is
Robin New Hampshire on the PI that was allegedly hired to track Raeble and Rucini. Yes, Rob
Yeah, I'm just wondering don't you think that there's
More pictures. This is a private eye because
It just seems like you know those pictures in some way and I'll kind of look innocent and in some people can see that
But there's got to be more pictures. Don't you think what do you think? That's probably
Yeah, look again, he probably didn't see he might not have sold his best stuff or
Uh
Well, yeah, I mean like so the athletic initially supported Rucini and then what five six days later they set after additional information
So what was the additional information? Yeah, good question. I don't know
But you know if he's hired by someone to take pictures
Well, then my guess is he has the responsibility to give the most damning stuff to the person that hired him
And then he might have sold the rest of someone else. I'm just guessing. I don't know
But maybe there's more damning stuff
Uh, how about Kevin and Rosendale go ahead Kevin
Hey guys, I was just wondering uh, do you think Hagen's will crack the playoff lineup and also I'd love to see
Bruins Canadians in the second round out. What do you think the odds are we get that okay?
So uh, all the more and Hagen's coming up, but he absolutely
Should be in the lineup. He earned it
With the way that he played in the first two games
I'm not even saying it was like he set the world on fire
He just did a lot of little things right that I was not anticipating and I respect and I'd like
I liked his game
So yeah
He should be definitely on the ice the question is who should we be playing with is really
With a more partner question should he move up in the lineup?
Uh
Yeah, did he have another point? Did he say two things? Yeah, he said he's looking forward to Montreal and the next one
Oh, again with the Montreal thing, you know, listen
I like Bruins Montreal as much as anyone. I don't know why I'm not as
Bruins Sabres. This is gonna be a fun series. Can they just play the first series first?
I'm just but all I'm saying is like this doesn't do it for you
I'm going to play off hockey period
Let alone if you give me some old division rival, but the Sabres are an interesting team
It's not like the old New Jersey devil. I used to love the Bruins by Sabres series
All right, this feels like the mid-90s early 90s all over again. I'm in I don't I'm not longing for
I'm just happy they're back definitely and I think
Buffalo is still
Loose enough that you're gonna have some entertaining games here absolutely
