Every day, excessive delays and denials from big insurers keep patients from accessing
the care they need, and when care is urgent these delays can be disastrous.
These practices cost billions in wasteful spending, driving up costs for American families,
but while big insurers put up barriers, America's hospitals and health systems are in your
corner, navigating endless reviews and appeals to get you the care you need when you
need it most.
It's time to curb these harmful practices and put the focus back on patients, brought
to you by the Coalition to Strength in America's Health Care.
And here we go, welcome in to another edition of Bucky and BK today is Thursday, March 12,
20, and 26, and the Bucky 9 are with you for the next two hours on a Bucky Off Thursday
edition of the program.
We've got a lot to get into.
Evan V.
The inside Texas will join us in hour number two.
He was at Texas spring practice number two yesterday.
We'll get his inside, talk about his biggest takeaways from what he's seeing from the
longhorn so far.
We obviously have to talk some Texas men's basketball, the longhorn's dropping there.
SEC tournament opener last night against Chris Beard and Old Miss.
Will Texas still make the tournament should Texas still make the tournament?
We will debate.
We've got some sound from Sean Miller as well.
We've got some sound from the Texas players, the latest from NFL free agency, including
a couple of trades that the Dallas Cowboys made yesterday and another edition of the
BBK news.
A lot to dive into on a Thursday show.
We appreciate y'all hanging out with us.
How are you today, my man?
I am fabulous.
What a fabulous day this is.
It's a gorgeous day.
Lots of sun today, tomorrow throughout the weekend.
Don't see any rain in the forecast any time soon.
So the rain that we got, hope you enjoyed it.
I hope you got it up in areas.
I think I did out where I live and the hill country got it, but there's some places that
didn't get a lot, but they got some and any around this place is good for us.
But it was it was warm yesterday.
It's going to be warm today.
The sun's shining bright all day right from beginning to this time of day.
It's just a beautiful day.
Yes, it is.
I always have you.
I'll count.
Yeah, it's right.
You'll count the days.
Make the days count.
I like that.
Tip for kids, even though it's a Thursday.
Yeah, a little tip for the kids.
Hey, when you get ready to get to hit on that vacation, because a lot of schools, this
is the last day for them.
They started having off tomorrow.
So make those vacation days count.
Do something constructive.
Have some fun.
Hey, enjoy the journey.
Have some fun.
But do some things that are constructive that'll carry you right into the end of school,
because it's in the school in that far away, brother.
Yeah, start calling you buck Gandhi with all this advice you're dropping out of here.
I don't want the kids to be happy.
I like that.
Yeah.
Enjoy spring breakers.
A lot of folks traveling in and out of Austin, obviously South by Southwest about to get
rolling.
And you've got a bunch of folks leaving town for spring break.
So be safe.
Be smart out there.
But enjoy some of this beautiful weather that we've got going on.
Absolutely.
You're going to have enough headaches if you get to, if you got to go to the airport.
So wherever you get to your destination, when you finally get there or if you get there,
enjoy that time because you then got to pack it back up and come home, get on another
flight to get back here.
And for those that are driving, just be careful.
A lot of people are hitting the highways.
Gas prices are up.
And most of you don't care right now and hit your hard yet because you've had these trips
already planned out.
It doesn't matter what it costs.
You're going.
You're getting a little bit.
So enjoy the time away.
I would suggest a place to go that's not far once again, Horseshoe Bay is just up the
road.
I don't know if you can get.
They probably all sold out by now.
But if you want to take a nice trip, Horseshoe Bay is the spot, man, that is a great area.
Anytime I go to Horseshoe Bay area, I feel like I'm at the beach for some reason.
I know it's not ocean, but the lake up there is beautiful.
And the area around there is really great for walking around.
And of course, if you're a golfer or you want to go play tennis, clay courts and the
whole works, they've got it at Horseshoe Bay, go to Horseshoe Bay, hsbresorts.com and find
out more information.
That's a great spot.
You know who else is traveling?
Who's that?
The Texas men's basketball team.
Oh, they may be traveling home.
They're traveling home.
Yeah.
Yeah, traveling home after yesterday's disappointment on the SEC tournament.
Yeah.
I'll just say a good day to the soldiers at Porthood, Texas, the soldiers in the state
of Texas.
And all those fight for us each and every day all over this wide, wide world.
Thank you so much for what you do.
We do appreciate it.
Thank you for protecting us and for your families for giving you to all of us.
And do be careful out there, please.
Yes.
Indeed.
What did Tom Petty once say, Buck, about waiting?
Ah.
Waiting is the hardest part.
Yes.
Texas will be playing the waiting game from now until selection Sunday, hoping that they
hear their name called when the bracket comes out Sunday evening, the long horns losing
their first round game in the SEC tournament to Ole Miss last night, 76 to 66, the final
score.
I don't wait to Texas lose this game, Buck.
Texas never led it into this game, Buck.
It was a brutal showing and what felt like a win and you're in game for the long horns
and they just did not have nearly enough against the 15th place team in a 16 team conference.
The long horns got honked if we're being honest.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, Vic Shaver could talk to him.
He would say that is the softest team I've ever coached or he can only do it watch the
game.
That's the softest group I've ever seen.
That group right there, if they had a smoke machine before they came onto the court, they
would get rejected by the smoke.
They couldn't get through the smoke.
That's how soft they are.
Their whole team would be falling on the floor before they ended up out of the smoke.
So be careful if you're UT, if you ever decide to put one of the smoke machine for your basketball
team because they would get rejected before they hit the court.
That's how soft they looked last night.
The other team was just filled with, we got to have this, we want this, we want to win
this game.
We may not be going anywhere, but we can beat this softies and they did really.
I mean, that was a terrible display of that 13 turnovers and they only get only four
three turnovers by that group of non dribblers at Mississippi.
That was hard to watch.
It was hard to watch and there are a lot of numbers from last night's game that make
it hard to stomach.
And he talked about it 13 turnovers for Texas, the longhorn shot, just 35% from the floor.
Defensively, they only forced three turnovers.
They had one steel while Ole Miss had 12 Texas got outscored in the paint 50 to 18 buck.
They got dominated down low.
The bench of Ole Miss outscored the Texas bench 24 to 5.
It was arguably the worst performance of 2026 for this Texas men's basketball team and
it came at the worst possible time.
No, not even Kendall Weaver can get that team going.
No matter how hard he plays and he only scores like two or three points, that dude's effort
does not permeate through the team.
They don't get it.
They don't get it.
And one of their great players, Swain, who now has become a liability on defense, he's
got to spend all his time trying to score 100 points in the game because defensively, he's
like Pope Jordan now, the guys just go right by him.
I'm like, dude, you're better than that.
You got better athleticism than a let a guy just go to you and the next guy is the big
guy who he is going to hack the crap out of you.
You know that.
I mean, that's a ridiculous showing of defense right there.
Well, that doesn't surprise anyone, does it?
No, no, it doesn't.
And this team has been a bad surprise me about that individual because I thought, you
know, you know, a prideful guy like that that's a score one of the best in the SEC should
be better than that on defense.
He should be like, kind of, he should show some aggressive play on any dozen.
He doesn't jump balls in the lane.
Guys go right by him now.
He gives them the soft shoulder and he starts heading down to the other end of the court.
Now, I'm talking about a guy who led and scoring and rebounded last night.
But his defense is just, it's gotten like the rest of them.
It's almost smoke screen.
They're all hide behind a smoke screen.
The defense was bad, but the bigger issue and what really caused Texas last night was
the lack of offense.
Again, we've grown accustomed to this team not being able to stop anybody, but despite
that being an issue all season long, they've been able to win a bunch of games because of
what they've done on offense.
The 66 points that they scored last night.
That's the fewest that the long horns have scored in a game since December 12th when
they lost on the road at Yukon.
And that's Yukon and it was on the road.
I think I'm out muscle by Mississippi.
And you were closer against Yukon than you were in this game last night, by the way.
So Texas went an entire SEC season without, and they played worse games.
They had worse losses in terms of the margin of the feet, but that was their worst
offensive showing of conference play this entire year.
And they saved it for the opening round of the conference tournament in what may
have been a must win game.
Yeah, dude.
I mean, if the Herky Jerky left, he could come back.
Don't bring him back.
Please don't bring that guy back.
That guy got to go.
Well, it's it's going to be a different looking Texas team next year.
And I know a lot of longhorn fans have turned to the page to year two of the Sean Miller
era.
I'm telling you that Texas still has a very good chance to make the NCAA tournament.
So I don't know if I'm ready to make that move just yet.
But there are, you know,
you're impressed with the coach too last night.
I'm putting in press with his coaching last night.
Yeah, I know you weren't going to be those last two games.
You can't be impressed.
No, I'm not abreast at all.
I mean, you just, they went one in five in their last six games.
Everyone's got a shoulder.
Some of the blame, right?
They had coached the assistant coaches, the players.
I mean, it's on everyone.
It's not like Texas had to go six and oh to punch a ticket to the NCAA tournament.
They had to go two and four in their last six games to feel good about making the dance.
And instead they went one and five and lost to the rebels.
I mean, they lost the old man, like losing the OU on senior night is bad enough.
That's a brutal loss to a not very good basketball team on your home floor.
That sucks, but losing to a team that finished second to last in the league.
A team that had nothing to play for whatsoever.
And you needed it badly.
You talk about punting on the season.
It felt like Ole Miss did that a month and a half ago.
I mean, Ole Miss buck going into the SEC tournament,
Ole Miss had lost 12 of their last 13 games.
They were one and 12 in their last 13.
Not only did you lose to that team, he kind of got smoked.
Yeah, you know, you know, yesterday when we were talking about something happening in the handshake line,
I thought, oh, just Chris Beer just trying to hopefully just drum up something for his team.
Hell, I think somebody must have punched somebody in the nuts or something now.
I mean, seriously, I mean, so they give him the hand.
They may have given the shot in the undercarriage.
Maybe that's what happened.
Hell, the way they came out playing, my goodness.
Yeah, Ole Miss brought the juice early in Texas.
Just had nothing going early.
I mean, the Longhorn didn't score their first points until about five minutes into the game.
I believe they started one for nine from the floor as a team.
It may have been one of 11 as a team.
And again, they did not lead.
Like, they got punched in the mouth early and they were playing catch up the entire time.
And they just, they couldn't come back.
I mean, they did cut it to three with just under four minutes to play.
Felt like they had a lot of the momentum and it's like, okay, finally, this is the team that's...
Yes, that's when I thought, I thought, yeah, finally, somebody's going to,
somebody's going to have a defense that's going to stop maybe three, three, three straight stops
and then take the lead somehow.
But you're right.
It just nothing, nothing came of it.
Yeah, it was 66, 63, which just under four minutes to play.
The horns actually did get a stop.
They got the ball back out of the under four time out.
And then here's the sequence.
Cam Heidi missed a layup.
There were a lot of those for Texas last night.
Jordan Pope had a turnover.
There were a lot of those.
Oh, yeah, that was a big one.
Nick Cody missed a layup again.
A lot of those.
Jordan Pope, another turnover.
Ole Miss went on a six, nothing run.
And that basically put the game on ice.
Yeah, I kind of had that feeling when I, when Keith Kendall Weaver went to the hoop,
one of those, I'm going to take this to the rack and lay it up.
And two guys blocked it for the team.
I mean, two guys pinned it to the board.
I'm like, when you start blocking that dude shot, when he goes up there high, that's something now.
And it was, it was like, it was like one of those free shots to the basket like a layup.
You're just going to get that thing high on the board.
Two hands came up and pinned it to the board.
I'm like, wow.
Ole Miss had six blocks last night.
It felt like 60 if we're being completely honest.
How did these guys get so many shots blocked?
I don't know.
I don't know, especially modest vocatitis too.
Like, that's a seven footer right there who repeatedly was having
his lunch money stolen by Ole Miss.
And Modus had 27 points in the regular season against the Rebels.
So it felt like he was going to have another great game again.
And that was one of his worst games of the season too.
He was terrible.
Both ends.
He was terrible.
So.
Oh, it's bad.
It is bad.
And now we will wait and see what happens to Texas on Selection Sunday.
Let's get to some Sean Miller sound buck.
There's a lot from his post game press conference to dive into.
We will start with this one.
He was asked about slow starts because his team has had a lot of those lately.
And he kind of turned the question about slow starts into an overall,
hey, what went wrong in the game against Ole Miss?
Yeah, that's definitely a problem.
It's been a problem on and off throughout our season.
In a nutshell, though, if you look at the game, 13 turnovers by us, three by them.
It's a difference of 10 turnovers and so many times off of turnovers.
They get 13 points, right?
And we had zero.
Our ability to take care of the ball against the defense.
And just the overwhelming discrepancy of scoring in the paint.
They had 50 points.
And you know, you think about it, 50 of 76 came in the paint.
And they made one three and we just didn't have the ability to defend them.
What was different today because throughout our season, as you know,
we've had those stretches where we've struggled defensively,
but we more than make up for it because we score.
And during those stretches, it doesn't bury us as much as it buried us tonight
because we're able to score on RN, be efficient on RN.
Tonight, we struggle to score having those 13 turnovers, probably our worst performance.
I think if you look at points per game, it might be our overall worst performance of the season
when you consider offensive efficiency.
So our defense was not good, but it's been masked so many times throughout this season
because of our offense.
And tonight, we weren't able to score.
We didn't execute.
And that's a credit Ole Miss.
Yeah, you know, the young lady that plays on the women's team, Old Acre.
She's more physical than those dudes when it comes to boards and boxing out.
And I know how to, you know, to box a guy out, it doesn't jump over the side of you or get that.
She's a better, she's a better fundamental player than they have in a seven footer.
I mean, it gets, it's just ridiculous.
I don't think there's any question.
I mean, everything about the Texas women's basketball team is better than the Texas men's basketball team.
It's not the only one that boxes out better than her entire team.
The entire team is more physical, right?
I mean, that's what big safer is all about than I would not use the word physical to describe
Sean Miller's first team in all, especially last night.
But again, last night was far from the first time we have seen that from this team.
Now, we've seen a lot of the same thing from this team.
Yeah.
This is interesting.
This word, it gets good.
You know, Sean Miller has given us some pretty great post game press conference moments
throughout the course of the year, and typically he saves his best stuff for after a loss.
So a lot of coaches this time of year, when their team is on the bubble, they get asked
if they believe that their team should make the NCAA tournament, right?
It's a very normal question.
And typically the coach will respond emphatically saying, yes, of course, I would you ask such
a dumb question.
Of course, we should be in the tournament.
Do you see our resume?
You see all the teams we beat?
You see, I know we lost this conference tournament game, but look at everything else that
we've done.
There is no question that we should be dancing.
That's along the lines of the typical answer that you get from a head coach if he's asked
that question.
Sean Miller last night was asked a version of that question.
He was asked, do you have some anxiety now with the way that your team ended the year
that maybe y'all won't make the tournament?
Here's a very lengthy answer from Sean Miller.
I think it tells you exactly how he's feeling.
I have no anxiety, zero.
It's simply because of this, I came to Texas to build into a championship program.
There are steps and foundations that have to be laid, processes, failure, really learning
what the SEC and the University of Texas is about.
This has been a very rewarding enlightening.
And I think back to coming here about March and the March last year, there's a lot that
happened in a quick manner.
When you get to the finality of it, whatever happens happens and I'm at peace.
However, I think this is a huge moment for us as a program today to be different a year
from today.
And I think it's a, I don't need reminded, but I think it's a necessary step that we have
to get through.
It's not easy, but we have to be better, bigger, deeper.
And we have to be a higher level team as we keep moving forward here.
The SEC is an incredible conference, it's tournament, whoever wins it.
The three or four teams go in the national championship that are playing in this tournament.
And when you show up here, you got to have like your eyes dotted, your teeth crossed, you
got to be at your very, very best.
This is the highest level of college sports.
And you feel it when you're not at that level tonight, we were not at that level.
Then again, credit Ole Miss.
Yeah, he understands what the good teams look like, how good teams play.
He knows his team is not a good team.
He knows that he would rather be vacationing here next week than to take this group and
go into a tournament where they're going to get blasted by somebody on a Thursday or
whatever it is before they get there to the real tournament part or get blasted the
week after.
They just, he understands he's just got a lot to do.
And he's probably sick of seeing the faces on this team.
I mean, coaches get sick of you two after a while after they tell you about crossing the
street and you continue to do the things he talked about.
I mean, it gets old.
It gets old.
He knows there's some work to do and he's got to go out and find some guys that can do it.
Is it necessary to get beat up like, nobody wants to get beat up like that?
Nobody wants to play bad ball over and over and the same kind of stuff happens to you.
He doesn't want that.
But is it necessary?
I didn't think it's necessary to this point.
This team should have been a little bit better or do it.
They don't have a backup to the big men.
They don't have big guys.
They don't have physical guys.
They got a point guard that's been around college football, basketball a long time.
There's still plays.
Semi just, you know, getting there is a freshman looking like as a point guard.
He can score at times.
He can't protect the ball.
He can't defend.
But when some of that stuff starts to permeate throughout the team, some of the, some
of the things that the coach sees over and over, BK and some of your better players, it
starts to happen too.
I mean, Mark's been around basketball a long time, like 27 years old.
I mean, has that guy progressed since last year?
I don't think so.
It looks like the same dude, you know, you would expect to see some guys progress.
And you know, I got like Cam Heidi who's been starting all year long.
You'd like to see them get a little bit better as time goes on.
They don't look like they get better.
It's the same group that comes out there every, you know, weaver, the same dude, you
know, Mr. Hussle, the same dude you see every time he takes the court.
There's nothing that jumps out at you, the following game, oh, he's got a little bit
better at this.
Nothing, nothing seems to have gotten better.
And I mean, maybe that's the growing pains that Sean Miller is talking about.
But I know he's got to be frustrated.
It's been a long season in a good league.
But I don't think he's seen the progress of what he was expecting to see.
Well, they definitely got better, but the problem is after they got better, they
stepped backwards, right?
Yeah, they don't keep you going down the way that there's no doubt the way that
they were playing in February was better than the way they were playing in November
in December.
There is no doubt when they were on that five game winning streak, they were a
completely different team than what we saw in the non-con and even very early on in
SEC play.
But the problem is after that five game winning streak, they went one and five down
the stretch and they were back and that was it, huh?
What's that kind of peak then and that was it.
Yeah, it peaked too early.
I said that two weeks ago and unfortunately, they've continued to downward spiral
since then.
And I mean, it kind of sounds like Sean Miller, look, does he want to make the
tournament?
I'm sure he wants to make the tournament.
But most sounds like he's not going to lose a whole lot of sleep if this team gets
left out.
No, I think this year to him is a stepping stone.
He was not brought to the University of Texas to just barely make the tournament.
Hell, Ronnie Terry did that last year and Texas fired him, right?
They made a change because they have higher aspirations than just barely getting
in and then losing early in the dance.
He knows what he was brought here to do and he knows deep down and he was kind
of willing to admit it that this team does not have the ability to make that
deep tournament run like he was brought here to do.
So his focus is, all right, we'll see what happens on Sunday.
Whatever happens happens.
It's out of our control at this point.
We just got to open pray that our name gets called.
But then once this year is done, whenever it's done, probably next week,
I really have to get to work to make sure that, okay, something like this never
happens again.
Get that NIT banner.
Come on, go get it.
Don't be afraid to get it.
Oh, I don't want to be in the NIT.
Come on, man.
Don't be afraid to get it.
So championship national, invitational tournament champions again.
Come on, man.
Don't do that to me again, please.
Don't bring me back to the shock of smart era.
Please, I don't want to go there.
I was so embarrassing, dude, yeah, I'll never forget Texas sports.com.
Now TexasLonghorns.com posting a graphic that said national champions
after the Longhorns won the NIT few years ago.
Going full Aggie then that was full Aggie.
That was there's been a lot of low points in my Texas basketball fandom.
That was the lowest of all low points.
Oh, by the way, you're now down to 10 people on that, you're at 10 now.
I think you're being nice by saying I'm at 10 because it, it sure feels like
a lot of this fan base doesn't even want to see Texas make the tournament
because that's another game they have to watch Texas lose.
It's like last night was a let down Saturday was a let down.
The Arkansas game was a let down.
There's been a lot of let downs lately.
And I think and maybe it's just he or the moment people were saying this online
last night and saying this the morning after, but it sure feels like there are a lot
of Texas fans who are like, I would prefer not to have to watch this team ever
play another basketball game again.
I'm sure some fans are like me and hey, you still want to make the tournament.
See what happened, whatever, but I feel strongly in saying there is a good
portion of this fan base that is done with this.
I can go back to my thoughts of nobody cares about basketball here.
Seriously, I don't think people care.
They just care about next season.
Okay, they care about starting again next year.
Yeah, that was that was that was just that was sad to watch.
I was trying to get it.
I was I was actually bouncing the ball in the room here watching the game,
trying to bring the ball up court scene.
If nobody could take it, I was bouncing there on air.
But Jordan, poor, they'll take the ball.
They don't even need to get a cover him.
He'll turn it over without being covered.
He'll get a 10 second violation by himself.
Nobody covered bring up 10 seconds going the other way.
I mean, that guy tries to throw more bounce passes that he
thinks that are going to get to his guys and like, dude, you can't.
And you tell me he's like six to guys all of five nine.
I don't think Jordan, Pope six to he plays.
Then he played like that, he's like watching a CY okay, trying to bring the ball up,
getting pressed.
I'm like, dude, do not turn this over again.
Yeah, Jordan Pope listed it six one, by the way, but he had some costly,
costly turnovers and look, if that's the last game that this Texas basketball team
plays, that's a tough way to go out.
And guys like Tramon, Maurek and Jordan, Pope and Kendall Weaver,
those are your seniors on this team.
Like, that's, that's a rough way to go if that's it.
So one more bit of sound from Sean Miller here because his answer was I think
so surprising to everybody in attendance at that press conference last night.
There was a follow up question.
I think Eric Henry asked it like, Hey, Sean, is there, is there disappointment?
I'm just trying to clarify here.
You're actually going to be upset if you don't make the tournament.
Here was the coach's answer to that.
Look, the bulls eyes to always be a part of that tournament.
You know, you, you failed if you weren't a part of it.
I mean, I, I don't want to come across any different than that.
I own that.
But the reality of it is thing about the tournament, man, you, you got to earn it.
And you got to be super excited.
I mean, this is March Madness.
You're going to fly around and I've had the opportunity to coach some players and teams
where when I think about how we played in a conference tournament, not always with the win,
I would be after the game in a place where that's how that, that's how it's supposed to feel.
That's what makes March Madness so amazing when guys are just really laying it out there.
And in a way that, you know, he's like, wow, and that's, that's what's required in March.
Even the best teams, they have to be together.
They have to be at the best.
They're going to play amazing energy and synergy.
And when you're not at your best, you start to reflect on why.
And oftentimes, you know, in our case, we don't have a huge margin.
You know, we're not going to advance if we're not at our best.
And today, we not only were not at our best, but I thought Ole Miss did a really good job against us.
But what will I be disappointed, obviously, but in terms of my stress level or just like, you know, going, you know, we, we've,
we've kind of fought the good fight and how we have to wait for the results.
There's some smart people that make those decisions.
Yeah, he just didn't want to say we were at our worst.
He said we were at our best.
He just didn't want to say we were at our worst.
It's almost like he wanted to say that.
Not only we were not at our best, we were at our worst, but he wouldn't say that word.
I think he would have said that if this game happened in the regular season.
But again, he's, he's at a crossroads here because he's a very honest guy.
And I think a lot of Texas fans were stuck the hell out of that.
And he's been honest and open about his team all year long.
And it's kind of refreshing.
It's a nice change of pace from the typical coach speak that we've gotten around here a lot.
But he also realizes that he doesn't want to dunk on his team too bad.
He doesn't want the people in the committee to hear the head coach say, we suck.
We don't deserve to make it.
You should leave us as far away from this field as possible.
I think he probably feels that way, but he can't.
He doesn't want to, he doesn't want to tell his fans the, the 10 of them that he has.
He doesn't want to tell them that either.
Hell, we stink.
We don't want another chance.
We'll just wait till next year and get it going next year.
He doesn't want to do that.
He doesn't want to tell his boss is that, as you said, he don't want to say that either.
But he wants, he wants to say, hey, listen, hopefully, you know, we play in a tough conference.
We got a chance.
We'll play hard.
I think that's what's disappointing him is the fact that he keeps saying about laying it out there,
laying it on the line.
And he doesn't feel like he has a team that does that.
You know, I always, you know, you hear me always say, BK, just get me to a national championship game.
But anything can happen.
But I know in a, if I get a team that gets to the national championship game,
yeah, anything can happen.
But I know if I get that far, I'm going to have a group that's going to play their asses off or,
or get to the tournament or, you know, or get to the, you know,
national championship game or get to the tournament itself.
I know I'm going to have a team that's going to give it all.
And I can see the way they play.
They may not win it.
I mean, I win it all, but he's looking like, damn, this group, G has the thing.
Like, I don't know if this team's going to give it their all because I don't think they gave it their
all last night.
I don't think they gave it their all against Oklahoma on Saturday.
And these are games in March where it's like, they're basically must win.
Right.
You lose these games and your season might be over.
And that's the effort we get.
So I don't, I don't know if there's a lot of confidence that this group is going to do that.
If they do make it part of it, it feels like Sean Miller's message has gotten
stale on the teams kind of checked out on him a little bit.
Yeah, I, it just feels like you said that he doesn't know if he could get their all,
even if they got in the tournament.
And that would be just, that would be, I don't, I mean, if Texas does make it,
and we'll, we'll, we'll talk more about this in hour two.
We'll talk about like Texas is actual chances to get in and, um, you know,
what, where we go from here.
But if Texas does make it, are you going to have them advancing in your bracket?
I'm not messing my brackets up for there.
Are you kidding me exactly?
Like I, I don't even like longhorn fans who typically like, oh, my team's in.
Yeah, I'm going to, of course, I'm going to have them winning.
No question.
I don't even know if longhorn fans are going to pick Texas to win their first game
with the way that they've played lately.
You don't have enough of them now.
Remember you've lost so many over the last two weeks.
You should have been gathering momentum into the tournament with about 60 or 70 going
close to 100.
You're at 10.
You've gone from like 27 to 10 and two game and two games.
And you think it's even less than that.
It's, it's tough hard times out here for Texas basketball hard times.
You're, you turnovers are what kills.
I mean, everything kills them.
It ain't just one thing.
They like every night.
It's something else that kills them.
I mean, it's really been defense all year long.
But the offense, I mean, they got dominated in the paint.
They couldn't score down low.
It couldn't make shots.
Um, they turned it over too much.
Like, they got nothing from their bench.
Five points from their bench.
You've got Cam Heidi and Nick Cody shooting in the last three minutes of a
muscle game.
Who do those guys think they are?
Are you kidding me?
I saw Nick Cody take one.
I was like, don't you, why are you shooting that ball?
That didn't go off your shoulder and go in the basket.
Why are you putting that in your hands and trying to make shots?
I'm like, don't do that in Cam Heidi.
I, I still don't get this.
I don't get that.
They don't have, they don't have anybody else.
Who are you going to put in over him?
I know.
There's got to be, there's got to be a walk on their wants to play and wants it.
Where you got to, if you're Sean Miller, look, it's going to be a very different
looking roster next year.
You've got to win the off season.
Got a couple of really highly talented recruits coming in.
Couple of top 50 players in America in this recruiting class.
Do you got to hit the portal hard?
And I hope he gets the funding that is required for Texas to really turn things
around because there's, there's a misconception out there because of how much
Texas spends in football and baseball and some of the other sports that
Sean Miller is also given unlimited money.
It's just not the case.
And I know basketball's third fiddle here.
I understand that, but if you can't have it both ways, you can't expect this
team to be Kansas or Duke or North Carolina and then give them the money to be
a middle of the pack type of team.
And that's where they were this past year.
Either that or the ones that you have are already overpaid.
Yeah, well, I don't know, I don't know like, I don't know how much they had to
pay to keep Tremont Mark around.
I don't know how much they had to pay to keep Jordan Pope around.
Those guys are coming off the books.
Did you know it's Wayne?
You probably had to say Dale and Swain a lot of money.
I think Dale and Swain's going pro.
He's off the book.
So you'll be starting from a pretty blank slate, but I don't think it's a pretty
blank check that Sean Miller is going to be getting.
No, we'll see.
We'll see what happens.
But obviously a big off season because, you know, you're one, you're fine with it.
I'm fine with it.
I'm frustrated.
I'm disappointed.
Of course, I still think Texas is going to make the tournament, which, all right,
you're one.
That's a good base for building a team, but you can't be in the spot next year.
No, you can't be in the spot next year.
It's as simple as that.
A lot of the people who are calling for Sean Miller's head and there aren't a lot.
Same people calling for Steve Stark.
Maybe wait, maybe wait a little bit, give the guy some time to build.
All right, we'll dive back into that more in our two.
Speaking of Steve Stark,
he's in, we've got some Texas football to talk about some sound from the players.
Colin Simmons, hero canoe, Grayson Littleton and Des Bryant tweeted about Texas
freshman yesterday.
Yeah, he was at practice and he tweeted about a five star freshman.
And he's very excited about him.
And that has me very excited.
So we'll get to all of that.
But before we talk some football about some sponsor shout out.

They have started good because that's a season that lasts forever.
Once again, I've been around soccer long enough to know.
It's the season that never ends according to you.
It's the season that hasn't started yet.
Yeah, well, it's started for me.
I go every Friday night once it's soccer.
Love it though.
They have limitations.
They have an hour limit.
I love it.
That's the greatest thing I've ever seen.
T-ball has an hour.
People have gotten smart, BK, when you went out there and played T-ball,
you're out in that sun for hours on in.
Now it's like after an hour, you're done whistle blows.
You're gone.
Next group up your grandkids aren't listening.
You don't have to lie and act like you enjoy going to their games.
All right, I love it.
I tell you, I love I've been going to soccer games forever.
No, my kids are all soccer players.
But back in the day, they go, they went to full whatever that was.
The full distance.
You get there on a, if you didn't have a football game or you didn't
weren't recruiting, guess where you were?
Get in that car and head on down to Houston for the whole weekend, brother.
Yeah, he didn't know that.
Getting the sun.
Oh, my God, for hours, the games never ended.
Oh, no, no, we're going to go to shoot out what a shoot what a shoot out.
Nothing.
Let's go.
Let's go home back to the hotel.
Well, you're wasting your time.
I've been sitting on the couch watching college football every Saturday.
So now you can grads on bragging about watching youth sports, sir.
Hey, the kids matter.
It's about the kids about the college kids.
I agree with you.
Yeah, the college kids.
All right.
Speaking of the college kids, get into a little longhorned football conversation here.
Des Bryant.
Yes, that does Bryant.
Alice Cowboys legend, Oklahoma State Cowboys legend, a superstar wide receiver
in a national football league for a number of years.
He was in Austin yesterday.
He was at Texas spring practice number two yesterday.
And he tweeted last night, quote, I want to go on record and say,
your main bishop will be the Texas longhorn's number one receiver.
The eye test doesn't lie.
He's oozing with confidence.
I could tell by the way he carries himself.
He already runs routes like a pro legit playmaker.
I'm looking forward to watching him perform this year.
And quote,
domain bishop junior, the five star athlete recruit that Texas signed from Willis,
Texas, one of the most productive Texas high school football players ever.
And a guy that a lot of longhorn fans myself included have been excited about.
And how about that?
Des freaking Bryant is saying, watch out for this dude.
He is the real deal.
And where is that real deal dude lining up right now?
Wide receiver.
Okay.
And that's what Des said.
He expects him to be the number one wide receiver on this team.
That's where he's been practicing so far and the first two practices,
but it sure seems like that is the plan for the long horns to use.
Dermain Bishop who play both ways in high school is a very good defensive back as well for Willis.
But it's sure sounds like, you know, offensive head coach.
Steve Sarkeesian is going to get Dermain Bishop on the offensive side of the football.
Yeah, it sounds like it made a great safety.
How are you?
Why are you talking about him as a safety?
Des Bryan saying he's a lead receiver and you're like, move him over to defense.
Well, don't you have enough to receive?
I mean, how many receivers do you, are you going to need?
I mean, is he going to crack the starting three?
Is he that great?
Is he that good?
He wouldn't be a starting safety if he was a safety this year either.
Well, if he's got that kind of athletic ability, I mean, who's to say?
I mean, you're struggling to find some guys.
And if he's all around great player, unless you're waiting for the following year,
is that, is that, I mean, is that where you're looking to or I mean, remember,
they've got one, two, at least three guys are going to catch a bunch of balls.
Right. Well, that's Des Bryan.
I mean, look, if you're Des Bryan, he doesn't know everything about the Texas roster,
like, right of us do.
But he can see saying, he's saying Jermaine bishops going to be the number one wide receiver.
He's talking about this year.
Jermaine bishops, obviously, not the number one wide receiver this year.
Texas has Cam Coleman.
They've got Ryan Wingo.
They've got Emmett Mosley.
All of those guys are ahead of Jermaine bishops on the depth chart.
And there might be another guy or two ahead of him right now.
So yeah, maybe cool your jats a little bit, Des in terms of the expectations for year one,
but still has me excited.
Like I think Jermaine bishops speed and skill set is going to make it very difficult
for Steve Sarkies and to leave him on the sideline all season long.
Like some of the young guys that played two or three plays last year, we didn't see him again.
Right. And this guy's got legit football speed.
It's not just track speed.
He was a track star high school, but this guy has football speed with the ball in his hands.
And I know they haven't put the pads on just yet, but he, not only from Des Brian,
I've heard from so many of the people who have been at these Texas practices this week.
And so many folks behind the scenes that Jermaine bishops is the real deal.
And he looks like a guy who could step on the field very early in his Texas career
and be a big time piece for this longhorn offense.
Well, that's great, man, because if he's he's good enough, he's old enough.
Yeah. And I mean, he's a playmaker, whether it's deep shots, whether it's jet sweeps,
whether it's screen passes.
Again, you're trying to get your best 11 on the field at all times.
And I think Jermaine bishops, I don't know if he's in there right now, but again,
this to me, it sounds like this is a guy who's going to be tough to leave on the sidelines this year.
Yeah, I mean, you know, when we heard about him, you know, when he was coming in as a
live star, they just talked about get you get this guy to ball as quick as you can.
He's got a lot of numbers from high school, huge numbers.
Yeah, and Des Bryant, you know, was tweeting a little bit more about Jermaine bishops last night.
And he was comparing him to Malachite Tony at Miami, just in terms of like look at the type
of impact that guy made as a freshman on a Miami team that played for the national championship.
Yeah, Miami's wide receiver room last year, not nearly as good as Texas is this year.
So it's going to be a little tougher to crack the rotation.
But, you know, when Xavier Worthy was a freshman, he played a ton at Texas.
When Ryan Wingo was a freshman, he played a very good amount at Texas.
So to use your creepy quote, if you're good enough, you're old enough, like that has sort of
been the mo for Steve Sarkeesian all across the roster.
Now it's not going to be easy, but Jermaine bishops got plenty of time to show that he is worthy
of getting some real snaps this year.
He's doing that.
Obviously he's doing it in the spring.
So that matters.
And it does.
I saw this, this is where you catch people's eye right now, for sure.
I saw him, you know, just chasing down a deep ball that looked like it was going to be
five yards over his head.
He was able to track it down pretty easily.
And yeah, he's, I was pumped about him.
He had that high school playoff game against 40 where he had more than 300 receiving yards
and three touchdowns and a rushing touchdown and an interception as well.
That's six A high school playoff football in the state of Texas.
And the guys putting up numbers like that.
So yeah, I'm excited about him.
Again, I've been excited about him since he committed to the long morn's last May and
the early reports.
And then to hear Des Bryant or to see Des Bryant, I guess tweet what he tweeted has me more
pumped about what this kid is all about.
Get them on the field.
Well, I'd receiver.
I ain't moving them to defense yet.
I want to see this guy as a wide receiver.
I'm moving to where he can help immediately and get a number of snaps.
Well, he's 160 pounds.
You think that's safe.
That's real.
Okay, that's just that did it for me right there.
Thank you.
Oh, yeah, of course, you say 160.
160.
Yeah.
Okay.
That's that's not safety.
Stop.
No.
Now, all right.
Let's, uh, some more Texas football conversation here about some sound from the players.
There was a post practice player availability yesterday.
We got a couple of, uh, couple of cuts from a couple of defensive guys on this Texas roster.
We will start with Colin Simmons, maybe the best player on the Texas defense.
Maybe the best player on this Texas team.
He was asked about Wilmush champ who, of course, is back in the saddle as the long horns
defensive coordinator.
Here is the all American edge rusher talking about the impact that Wilmush champ has had
in his first few weeks in Austin.
Yeah, great.
I miss Wilm.
I miss him much.
I miss him much.
Um, everybody miss him much.
Jump.
Um, man, he had great coach, you know, he pushes us every day, you know, he, he wasn't
nothing but the best.
Like it's literally nothing other than the best like you going, you're going to get the
best out of you.
So, you know, I'm just glad that, you know, we got a dog on our on our team.
Got a dog.
We got a dog on our team.
He messes with Wilmush champ.
I don't think he means like they play pranks on coach boom.
I don't know if that's a good idea right there.
Get everybody likes that, dude, you get the best out of them.
Yeah, yeah, even as much champ has gotten older in the coaching ranks, it still sounds
like he is very relatable and just seeing some clips of him over these first couple of
practices.
Like he's got that juice, maybe taking a few years off, I know he was, you know, he
had a role on Kirby smarts Georgia staff the last couple of years, but it has not been
a very significant one.
And he has not been at practice every day and he's kind of stepped away from the game
a little bit.
Sounds like that may have been a recharge of the batteries for coach Bill.
That's what it sounds like.
That's right.
If his players are talking like that, it sounds like he is what he wants to be a part of.
I want to be at practice.
I want to be out there with you guys.
I want to be in the drills.
I want to make sure you're doing all the right things in the drills that that's good
to see.
For sure.
No doubt.
One more from Colin Simmons here.
He was asked about Rashim Biles, the track transfer linebacker for Pitt, easy for me to
say.
Another all American and another guy who has a chance to be one of the best players on
this team.
Here was Colin Simmons yesterday talking about Rashim Biles so far.
Peter right in.
He ain't fit to write it in.
Right in.
He fit right in.
Came in here.
He was supposed to do got adjusted, got adjusted to the game plan, got adjusted to Coach
Mustchamp.
Got adjusted to us as a team.
I feel like everybody that coached our keys and done brought it to this program this
year has been brought in and has a set fit like, hey, this is the team that we have.
Everybody in this room is what we have and all we have.
Yeah.
I mean, that's good news to hear too.
I mean, you get a guy who's a habitat backer like this kid.
I mean, he is he's probably the guy who that's that's the guy that may really stir the
straw a little bit BK on this defense, even more so we know what Colin Simmons, we know
what he's going to do, we know what he's capable of doing, but this is the guy that may
surprise people that don't really know a lot about him.
You know, they just see portal.
He's that guy in the portal.
Everybody wants it when he gets on the field.
He's special.
Rashim Biles is the camcoman of the Texas defense.
Yeah.
The way I think the way Longhorn fans talk about camcoman and the way they're excited
about camcoman, this super highly touted guy from the transfer portal on offense.
I think that's the way people should talk about Rashim Biles on defense.
And I think that's the type of excitement level that Longhorn nation should have with
Rashim Biles on defense.
Like I think he is that level of playmaker.
And in talking to some of the guys who have been at Texas practice so far, they're like,
Rashim Biles doesn't move like a linebacker.
He moves like a skill position player on offense.
Like his athleticism, his not like, oh, just a fast linebacker.
He looks like one of the most athletic dudes on this entire roster.
She don't often see at the linebacker position.
You typically see that at wide receiver or running back or defensive back, but byles,
it sounds like he's just got that fluidity, that smoothness, that explosiveness,
and some burst that you just don't often see at backer.
Yeah, he's that kind of dude that can take a chance and then still get it done,
doing it a different way every once in a while.
He'll take a chance because he knows he can be, he'll be offensive player to where the ball is going.
He can, a lot of guys can't do that.
A lot of guys have to play within the framework of the system.
He may be a guy that goes outside the box every once in a while, make a great play.
Yeah, I think he's got the ability to make plays all over the field.
Yeah.
And yeah, I'm just excited to see what he does.
I feel like I brought this up before, but I'll bring it up again.
Racine Biles last year had three touchdowns as a linebacker.
Yes.
Trey Weissner last year had three rushing touchdowns as a running back and the lead running back
on this Texas team.
So sorry, Trey, you're catching a stray here on a Thursday show, but like that's the
type of difference maker that Racine Biles is that he could have three touchdowns from
the defensive side of the football.
That is not easy to do.
And he did that at this past season and only 10 games, by the way, missed a couple of
games for the Panthers this year and still had more than a hundred tackles had 17 TFLs,
and four and a half sacks, and three defensive scores.
Yeah, he gets to the ball, he gets around the ball, he gets around that football now.
I'm excited to see what he does, but also just that linebacker room.
I feel like I'm higher on the Texas linebackers than most.
I just, I think there's a lot there.
Tianth and he Smith, who's limited right now, he had off-season surgery show.
He's not doing a whole lot at Texas practice, but the two interceptions he had in the Michigan
game.
I think he's about to break out this season.
I like the youth try or pick up from Florida State Brad Spins.
It sounds like he's moving back to linebacker.
That guy was the third leading tackler on Arkansas two years ago before he transferred
to Texas.
And then the five star freshman Tyler Adkinson, another guy who's received rave reviews early
on in his Texas tenure.
Like there's there's a lot in that room.
I know you're losing Ant Hill, who was awesome for three years.
You're losing Leeongola Fowl, who was a multi-year starter.
You're losing Trey Moore, who was a multi-year starter.
So it's not to take any shots at those guys.
Those guys are great, but I feel like the long horns did a really, really good job in terms
of addressing that position both in the portal and in the high school ranks too.
I've got a little bit more speed with guys.
Yeah.
I think so.
And Racine Biles.
Anthony Hill was close to 240.
Racine Biles, I think, is like 6'1, around 220.
So it's smaller of a player.
They do different things and a lot of the Texas linebackers are a bit undersized compared
to your stereotypical linebacker in college football.
But do you think these guys can still thump?
I do think they can move and now you have to have guys who can perform in space more than
ever before.
And you've got to have guys going to take on some size also from some offensive linemen
in the SEC.
So they've got to, hey, if they can't hit with that, you know, can't hit them if you can't
catch up to them.
So that'd be good too.
And every once in a while, you're going to have to take those big guys on.
So that string is going to be important to no doubt, no doubt.
And yeah, look, I get it.
There's a jump from the ACC to the FB, but Racine Biles, that a very high level, the last
couple of years with, you know, even at that size, it's not like he lost a bunch of
weight, even at that size, he was able to say what you say they had to play against teams
like BC or something.
Teams like BC, really, powerhouse BC, hey, their old coach is now the coach of the Miami
Dolphins.
Yes, yes.
Got out at the, at the right time, had to leave BC to go be an offensive coordinator for
the Packers, you know, it's not like he, you know, coaching gig didn't take him along
to get that gig.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's true.
A couple of years as the Packers DC and now he's a head coach in the national football league.
But yeah, I'm pumped for that line back in room.
More sound here from, where should we go?
Let's go to hero canoe up to the defensive line, speaking of putting on weight, hero canoe
is put on about 10 to 15 pounds of weight this off season.
I think he's listed around 320 on the current Texas roster.
I'm seeing 65, 321, you know, can use a guy who could have gone pro.
He would have been drafted if he went pro, not super high, but he would have been taken
somewhere in the seven round NFL draft and he decided to return to Austin for another
year.
Here's hero canoe talking about why he put on some weight and why it's important to
elevate his game.
Obviously, you know, this is the SEC.
It's a little bit different.
I mean, you guys see it last year, you obviously didn't reach the goal we wanted to reach.
So we got to look at ourselves first and first and see what we can improve and we have
these decks of stands.
We have nutritionists doing a great job, strength coaches, position coaches, and everything
comes into the decision.
Okay.
How much is he supposed to weigh, what's the lean mass, you know, body fat and everything?
So we collectively make the decision that I'm going to put on a little bit of weight, you
know, and you know, we're going to play in the SEC, we're going to play the real ball.
Yeah, he's going to be at the beach laid up, stomach up, you know, laying on the back,
stomach up, pounding on, that dude ain't going to be at the gym.
You tell y'all about muscle mass and all that other crap, but he'll be at the beach here
after this week, just laid up, just sunning himself.
I'm like, you see the, see the walrus, you see him up on the stones, that's him, running
around with that.
That's what a big man's supposed to do on vacation.
That sounds like to this point, he's put on some good weights.
You're saying next week, he's going to maybe put on some not so good weight.
Yeah, that, that, that not so good way to come off the following week when they start
getting into pads.
I think, you know, a lot of us were able to put on 10 pounds in a week during spring break
in college.
I think maybe that's going to be the case for hero canoe.
He's going to show up a week from Monday at like 330 instead of 320.
Yeah, that's all right.
Donuts.
That's why they have, that's why they have a spring ball.
You can't do that in the fall, but he'll do that in the spring, nothing wrong with that.
No.
Donuts and beer is the diet for beer and where's the trash can?
Hey, don't, don't you dare throw up on this turf.
They're playing in the turf today.
No, where's the cans at?
Don't anybody chunk on the turf.
He said, where's the trash can?
I thought you meant like, well, he was on spring break.
He was going to reach into the trash can and take people's food out so he could eat
some more.
Nah, nah, he's, he's a beach guy.
Sounds like a beach dude.
Well, he's from Germany.
So that's, that's, well, you have to come to Texas.
You're going to find the beach, then, spring break.
Yeah, obviously transferred from Ohio States, a couple of all seasons ago.
So I guess, you know, we're closer to the beach here than they are in Ohio.
Yeah, he was a, he was a lake guy in Ohio.
Yeah, I was saying you just hit the lakes, but now got the beach brother.
Where's he going to Galveston?
Is that the beach you're sending him to?
Oh, the sandy blue waters of Galveston.
He's going to be hanging out with Charles Barkley down there next week.
What do you think?
How did the beach is looking lately, Galveston?
Blue, blue waters?
No.
Yeah, they have water.
Yeah, yeah, they have water.
I've been to the coast in too long.
I got to get down there, but typically it's about two to three days a year
where you get some blue water down in the Gulf of America.
I believe is what we're calling this.
So yeah, hero canoe.
It's the SEC.
Look, also, I think for his NFL future, like he's a defensive tackle.
I don't think he's ever going to be an edge guy.
And you got to, you got a better chance of making it as a really good DT.
I think if you're closer to 320 than like 305.
So I think that move makes sense from the Texas staff and also from hero canoe as well.
One more bit of sound from him.
This buck stops fat shaming people.
How about trusting the process?
Hey, maybe hero can use a sixers fan like you.
He was talking about trusting the process.
Here you go on this team trying to build after a disappointing 2025.
I mean, obviously, we're really talented team, a lot of potential.
But at the end of the day, you still got to trust the process.
Like I said, I got that tattooed right here, trust the process.
And you can have all the talent in the world.
If you can't do the little things right, it doesn't matter.
So obviously, you got to trust the process and go in the right direction every day, going up the hill.
Going up the hill, brother, going up the hill.
He's got to tag it on his arm.
Trust the process.
Here you go.
And I realize he was such a big Joe LNB fan.
Got to trust the process hadn't helped us since I mean, nothing's going on with the sixers.
But trust this process, you've been a two semi-finals and he wouldn't, you know what you need to do to get back.
Maybe, uh, maybe I'd change up the hashtag considering what it's done for your sixers.
I know how much.
I don't think that's like the team slogan or anything.
They can't even get the sixers.
Can't even get the starting five anymore.
Everybody's hurt.
Yeah, it's rough.
It's rough for y'all, but I like it.
I mean, here at canoe, he was a lot better than I thought he would be in his first season in Austin.
Like Texas had five defensive lineman from the portal last year and here at canoe,
without question was the best of those five.
And I did not see that coming because he had a, I know he was coming from Ohio.
Stay on a team that won a national championship, but he had a very limited role.
He did play.
It's not going to play at all, but like just a few snaps here and there.
He was far from a big part of their group.
And I'm like, we've seen this before at Texas.
It predates Steve Sarakishan where the long horns will get a guy from Alabama or a guy from Notre Dame
or a guy from Georgia.
And it's like, well, it's a former five star.
Like he was just there and you must be really good.
If you're playing football there and then they come to Texas and it's like, oh, no, I see why they didn't play.
Yeah, I see why he didn't play in the SEC.
Yeah.
So I was like, maybe that's what hero canoe is going to be, but he proved me wrong.
Because he was way more than that.
And a big time difference maker in his first season.
So here's two more of the same from him in season number two.
Yeah, I like him.
I think he moves really well for a big guy.
Yeah.
And the hope is the added weights, whether it's donut weight or muscle mass doesn't.
It's donut weight for the week.
It's not, he doesn't continue on that when he gets back.
But you get time away.
They had.
I didn't cut the stuff.
The all stat keg is looking at you, right in the face.
Hey, the guys that you came down, maybe one of your mates down there, your apartment mate,
is a one of the wide receivers.
You know where he is.
He's at the gym.
He's going to the beach later.
So he's getting all jacked up.
You're there and all you see is the keg.
And all you think about is the towel that you're going to lay on, belly up.
And that's all you're going to do.
You're not even going to get into water and maybe go dip your foot in a toe in there and then come back and lay back down, brother.
Then head back to the bar.
He's in Galveston.
I wouldn't blame him for having that strategy.
Yeah, just dip your toe in there.
Don't get too far out.
And then he's got binoculars, you know, just looking around, seeing what he sees.
And all of a sudden, he turns left and he sees you hanging out at the gay nude beach.
A poop deck at the poop deck right there.
That's also a part of his spring break.
That's Florida.
That's the state of Florida, brother.
Yeah, you're right.
Probably don't have that.
Galveston, they tone a beach.
Everybody's still heading down that way.
They had the Miami Beach now these days though.
There you go.
Yeah, I wonder where this guy had the Florida daughter deal for a lot of them.
Doesn't seem like the place seems like West Palm and Miami.
And you know, now they got in LL and I L money.
They can go to other places.
They can go all over the place and go out to the island.
The whole works there, you know, send them to Turks and Keiko's.
Those two, those two places are one Turks and Keiko's.
I don't know, I've not heard of that before.
Oh, that's some like island place that's super nice.
What was Jimmy Buffett places?
That's, I guess above our tax bracket, I think it's near the Bahamas.
You heard of the Bahamas.
I've heard of that, yes.
Okay, I think it's like kind of around there, but don't quote me.
I don't ever get invited on those trips.
Wow.
Yeah.
So who knows, but I also don't make an IL money.
So I don't know who's trips.
All right, we'll be back into some Texas football conversation.
More Texas basketball to dive into as well.
Evan Veeath of Inside Texas will join us in a few minutes.
He was at Texas spring practice number two yesterday.
Also, he covers basketball as well.
So maybe we'll ask him a Texas hoops question.
I know it sucks.
It's painful to talk about.
We're almost done.
Texas fans.
We're almost done talking about Texas basketball for a while.
But we'll get back into all that stuff.
But before we do buck, how about another round of sponsor shout outs?
Well, so let's tell you about the 2000 mile journey across the country led by our friend,
Matt King, powered by Go Bunits.
And the mission about this raised $1 million and create direct impact in communities along the route.
This isn't about comfort.
It's about commitment.
And Matt King is committed push by his group of Go Bunits.
This is going to be some special ride, man.
Really, the rideproject.com is very important.
It's not only Texans, but it's important all around the country.
It's about giving, giving back to all communities, not just your community,
but communities around the country.
And Matt is going to do just that with a 2000 mile ride from Mexico to Canada.
That is awesome.
You know, giving, he's giving not only his time, his body,
but I guarantee you Go Bunits is putting in a bunch of money into that $1 million pot
that's going to be given away along the route, which is kind of cool, man.
Yeah, absolutely.
The rideproject.com, it's a great cause.
Matt's a great guy.
And again, like you said, making a difference around a bunch of different communities
around the country, really cool bits, the rideproject.com if you want to support.
Of course, we talk about Go Bunits from time to time as well.
Definitely check out Go Bunits.com to see what they've got going on a really cool club
and membership for men to be a part of.
But in the meantime, the rideproject.com for more information.

That sounds about right.
Yeah.
It's going to be my prediction.
I know.
You don't think we're going to cold prime.
No more 30s.
That's not happening anymore.
It was 40s, maybe 40s, 50s.
It was feels like 35 when I woke up this morning.
My wife was said was a little cold out while I was still in bed talking to her when she's
out there on the porch.
I was out there.
She said, it's a little cool.
I said, well, give me another 15 minutes.
I'm not getting out.
I bet there are some folks who clicked the heat on this morning.
Really?
Yeah.
I woke up.
I was cold.
I'm not some folks.
I'll be good.
You're fine.
But Woods Covered Systems, whether it's heat, whether it's AC, it doesn't matter.

And also a quick shout out to Oldstad Beer, the best beer that you can find all throughout
the great state of Texas.
It's the only beer I drink.
Seriously, if I go somewhere and they don't have it, I'm moving to liquor.
It's not like that.
Yeah, big men all over the country, you're ready to head to spring break, are wishing
that they had it in all the states.
That's true.
Well, you know what they do have?
An Oldstad light.
There you go.
So if you're trying to sacrifice on the calories, hey, spring break for a lot of folks.
Maybe you're taking the fam on a vacation.
It's beach season.
You don't want to be consuming a bunch of calories in your beer.
Oldstad lights sacrifices on the calories.
But unlike other light beers, it does not sacrifice on the taste.
Some light beers you drink, it's like, is this even beer?
It's tastes like the guy's pissed from the trough in the bathroom.
I don't want that.
Oldstad Beer, actual beer.

are out there.
