The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have long needed help at Ed rusher, and they took a step forward

in free agency by signing all-quad in Muhammad from the face-in.

Last year, Muhammad racked up 11 sacks, and he's expected to slot in as the team's number

three option on the death chart behind their top two.

This move adds immediate pressure to veteran Anthony Nelson, who's now number four.

Nelson, one of the last players from the 2020 Super Bowl squad, had three sacks last

season, and some key plays like a pick-six, but his.

Role could shrink with Muhammad pushing from above.

Behind Nelson are two young challengers.

Second round pick Chris Braswell from 2024 has not lived up to the hype in limited action,

while fourth-rounder David Walker.

Missed time with a torn ACL in camp, but showed big promise in college and could battle

for snaps if he bounces back.

Nelson's pressure rate was solid at about 13 percent last year, making him a reliable

rotation guy, but Muhammad's even higher mark means fewer.

Opportunities ahead, unless things change.

Looking ahead, the Bucks hold the 15th overall pick in the 2026 draft, and are likely targeting

another edge rusher there, which could push Nelson even further down the line, or out

altogether.
