All right, here we go, Betting Weekly Live.
Here with you on a Friday, heading into the weekend.
My cover along with Doug Kazirian, getting you ready for all of tonight's action.
We have got Sweet 16.
We've got Baseball.
Every day now get ready.
NHL NBA, very busy evening for us here as we get going.
Doug, great to see you as always on a Friday.
Last night, let's start with the hoops here, Doug.
First of all, you got home with the Dodgers run line on your side of the daily double.
Unfortunately, Nebraska completely threw that game away after a hot start against Iowa on my side of things.
You knew it. Dodgers just, it's like they overwhelm you, right, Doug?
It's like a close game for four or five innings.
And then the Dodgers just stamped you with that line up in the later innings.
Yeah, you know, with Baseball, it's cluster hitting, right?
You want to get your, you can scatter seven hits for no runs or you can do it all in one inning.
And the Dodgers sort of just take out a leg if they get a guy or two on.
And then they lean on you.
And that's what happens.
These pictures try to nibble with guys on base.
And these hitters are too good.
You know, look, obviously, you know, you look back yesterday.
It's like, oh, now they were down to nothing in the fourth or fifth.
And then they just took off.
And now they're better because the bull, the starting lineup is better.
Like the batting lineup is better.
And then they have bullpen now.
So that's the concern.
And I wonder if the market just hasn't adjusted to these teams.
You know, the Dodgers team just in terms of the market on the run line.
It doesn't seem that we will talk about that in a little bit.
They've got the diamond backs again tonight out there in Los Angeles to the hoops now.
As I mentioned, Nebraska got out hot against Iowa.
But then Iowa was down the entire game took a lead with just over two minutes to go and never look back.
So Iowa gets to win great game, Purdue, great game with the win over Texas.
The later games then, of course, you had Illinois getting it done against Houston.
Last night and Arizona taking Arkansas to the wood shed on last night's sweet since sweet 16 games.
My team is on the floor to quote Jim Hackman.
Unfortunately, he had players to play and he didn't show they chose not to so.
I don't know how that happens.
I really, really don't usually the rest step in and tell the coach.
Yeah, you need five out here to want another, you know, come on.
Just very strange to say the least.
You know, look, we faded the team coming off the big win.
And that certainly looked like the case, right?
Down 12 to or whatever it was.
Yeah, convincing, you know, start.
And, you know, you had you had the thought that I was going to come back.
But give them all the credit in the world.
Hot guys onto the elite eight and.
Crazy.
You know, that's it's Hoosiers, right?
Like it's obviously it's a different state.
But, you know, if it was a.
This was like I'm trying to think of it.
If this was Purdue or a more of a blue blood and basketball,
that was the 8C.
No one would care.
But this is a different big 10 team.
It's really underdog team a little bit.
So people are kind of getting excited about them, especially because they slayed the dragon of the one seed Florida.
They certainly did.
Now you get all big 10 tomorrow when Houston will talk about it in a little bit.
Iowa and Illinois.
And then Arizona and Purdue.
In the other game tomorrow with a chance to go to the final four Brad with the go Hawks.
Down there at the bottom of the chat box.
You think umpires will try to be more.
Letter to the law on the strike zone with ABS and effect.
Due to more hitter friendly strike zone.
That's interesting with this new thing with them tapping the head.
Doug and and go into the video.
And I know we've seen it a little bit.
Spring training for years, but.
It is some guys just like it's immediate.
There's like no thinking.
I don't know the rules yet.
Doug, how many times can they tap on their own around the game?
Yeah, I do feel a little bear said I don't know the rules.
I would have to ask.
You know, that's the whole thing.
It's.
It's do you get to keep your challenges if you're right?
Things along those lines that you know the NBA had to work it out as well.
Because I think they used to be where if it could go off someone you couldn't call a foul.
It was obviously the guy yanked his hand.
Or something like that.
But now you can call the foul.
I had like a week or two ago Steve Kerr challenged to play.
And not only was it did he not get it overturned.
He actually got a foul on his own guy.
When he would eat challenges, he got to be careful there.
Because the they'll do it in the letter.
They'll do it.
Whatever that should the call should have been instead of the specific thing you're challenging.
So I just don't know how it works in baseball.
It's too.
Have it really cared.
You start with two.
And if you get one, you get it right.
You get it back.
So you start with two and you only lose it if you don't get it right.
Okay, so ever.
That's why every player does not have to ask the coach or whatever.
Right.
I mean, they're they're really fast whether it seems like.
Like there isn't even like a look to the dugout.
Like and I'm I'm all right to do this.
They just like it seems like they have free reign that just tap on their helmet all the time.
We'll blow through them pretty quick if you're wrong.
That's for sure.
What is interesting.
I mean, who knows.
So I would say yes.
They're probably going to be letter of the law.
Probably will.
Mental discipline to not whack your helmet because you get punched out.
Yeah, you got I think that that's going to be something those guys are going to have to just do.
But they adjusted to the clock a few years ago.
So you can't look to the dugout.
That's another rule.
Frankie to fix right.
Do remember hearing that you're not allowed to look at the dugout.
It's got to be instantaneous.
All right.
Let's get to tonight with the sweet 16 because this is heavy hitter club night.
Doug between the coaches and the brands and everything that you have here.
This is what it's all about.
We'll start in DC in the early game.
Saint John's and Duke Rick Patino with the Johnny's back in the sweet 16 for the first time in 27 years.
Shire has Duke back here.
Sounds like Duke might be a little healthier tonight as well.
Minus six and a half 140 and a half.
A couple interesting things here.
Obviously the coaching matchup and really just the dynamic of this all.
I mean, it should be a great atmosphere.
I don't know if Patino's breaking out the white suit, but I do like the points here.
If I had to play the side, I would take the dog and the points.
It's just too many.
For me, Duke, like you said, getting a little healthier.
But Saint John's physicality and everything should be able to keep them inside the number.
But I also haven't met one person who likes Duke.
So that does concern me a little bit.
At least the numbers come down a little bit.
I think this Johnny's team is very, very good.
I have the under.
It's moved a little bit.
I just think.
How do I explain this?
I just think the physicality will slow the game down.
And obviously, you know, Kansas made Saint John shoot a bunch of threes.
And they were.
They're not very good.
They're like a 30% shooting team.
So I imagine Duke's going to do some of that.
I just think the physicality will turn this into more of a half court set and 140 and a half.
But you know, I was on a couple of under yesterday and neither were close.
That's kind of what I was going to ask you.
I haven't found anyone who likes Duke.
Like I can't find anybody who likes them.
And is that like a little pause for concern for tonight?
I mean, I don't really have to worry about it here in New York because I can't play the game.
Because it's Saint John's.
But if I could, Doug, I'm like thinking about it like, man, why is nobody on Duke in this game?
Just nobody.
Well, we hate Duke as a country, except for the actual Blue Devils fans and alums.
So.
And it's a big, it's a big number.
And we in the dance.
I think the public likes points, right?
And especially, especially if you think a team can win.
I don't know.
Maybe people just like the church bells nickname.
I don't know.
Saint John's in Duke.
The first tip of the night in DC.
The first tip of the night in Chicago, the Midwest region will have Alabama and Michigan.
So supposed to start about 25 minutes after Saint John's Michigan minus nine and a half.
This 10 and a half earlier in the week, right?
172 and a half.
The big total of the night.
Yeah, I don't know.
I'm getting confused maybe with the Arizona game.
Maybe it was eight and a half.
I don't know.
Michigan should be able to just name their score.
I think they should put up 100.
This Bama team, similar to Arkansas last, they don't play the defense.
It's a joke.
But Alabama can score.
And Michigan has had their sort of lulls.
I just don't know if it's going to come here.
Again, it's a Bama team.
We saw how easily Arizona scored without even shooting the three much.
I.
I mean, the tempo is going to be high.
I, I kind of would bet the over as big of a number as this is.
I would bet the over if I had to play it.
I agree with you.
I think it's over for me.
In the, it kind of feels like it's going to be just like the Arizona game last night.
Like I feel like you said it.
It's 105 85.
Like, and if I'm thinking that I probably should say I'm in a lay with Michigan too, right?
Because if I think they're going to smash them by that much.
Sometimes that's the easier route to take.
But 172 and a half as big as it looks.
I don't, I don't see any way Alabama slowing Michigan down in this.
It's just no way at all.
They're, they're, they're a turn style out there.
Alabama.
Even though they played well last week against Texas Tech.
I think that was the first time, Doug.
You saw Texas Tech really mistop and was trying to be in an offensive game like that against Alabama.
So I think they had a peach basket out there for that Texas Tech team.
That was embarrassing.
Bama and Michigan this evening, right?
Here are your tips back to DC after St. John's and Duke is Michigan State and you con is oh and hurly minus one and a half for a reason here.
Total's gone up since this morning 136 and a half now.
I really liked the under this morning.
Doug, when I first looked at it, I guess I have to like it even more now that it's a couple points higher.
Yeah, I don't know what to think about the total.
I was on the over last week with UCLA and then it was flying pace and buckets.
And then it was like the live total was three points over the game to us.
Okay, well, this is going to die.
I like the side here.
I like you can't.
I think the Spartan, the Spartan team.
I thought was had like a lower ceiling than people realize because it's his own everything.
I just don't think they're, they're up to snuff the, the child, the championship caliber.
I just think this is when this nice run ends because if they win this, you know,
it's fantastic in elite eights because the quick turnaround and everything.
I just think Yukon's a better team, better at most positions except for point guard.
And so low ball is going to have to start hitting some shots.
And I think he does early 14 and one ATS in his last 15 tournament games that says something.
So I'll roll with the Huskies here.
It's not like a lock or slammer, but it's a bet for me for sure.
Yeah, I think I said this to you yesterday.
I have no idea who's going to win this game.
I just have no clue.
I could see either side.
I think it's going to be close.
I think it's the kind of game, Doug, that I'm not going to be in beforehand.
And I'm going to wait and wait for a team to make a run.
And I can get one side at five or six and a half.
And then maybe wait for the other team to get a run.
And then there it is.
I mean, to me, take this team that falls down by eight early on the money line.
That's one way to play it too, I suppose.
But I think it's got some rock five feel to it.
It's just it feels 63 61 in some way shape or form.
So I'm kind of going to go with the under tonight, Doug, there.
And you caught a Michigan state.
Yeah, me.
Yeah, I can see that on.
But you know, I like unders.
We know that we like unders, but like even now I get why you're last night.
There was what's in the under to be found.
Well, he used to use an Illinois did.
Yes, he used to an Illinois was way under.
But the Nebraska game flew the Arizona game flew.
Texas got there too.
Our Texas Purdue got there as well.
I'm pretty sure, right?
I think they both got in the high 70s.
So yeah, I think they got to the number.
The last game of the night.
Tennessee and Iowa State.
The second game in Chicago.
Iowa State now four and a half.
It was three and a half for most of the week.
I've gone back and forth in this game.
I think Tennessee can win it all.
I don't think Iowa State can.
So I should probably take the points.
Nate Aement.
He's just not as like dominant of a offensive players you would like.
He has it in his bag.
My only concern is if you take Gillespie out defensively,
then they don't have much offense.
I just think there's a lot of firefire as ball's team.
And I don't think much of this Iowa State team away from Hilton.
So I'm on the I'm on the dog here.
I don't think there's a lot of firefire as ball's team.
So I'm on the I'm on the dog here.
I'm I'm on I'm kind of like I was Illinois, but I don't love.
I don't I don't think they can dominate and win out right like they just did.
I'm a little.
A little nervous.
You know, you always are with Barnes when you get to the second weekend.
Can they score enough like that's my that's my thinking with Tennessee's.
Their offense.
Good enough.
Can they drag Iowa State into the type of game?
Maybe I was just thinking about with Yukon and Michigan state.
And they drag them down into that type of game.
That's probably how Tennessee's got to win this right.
That's this is under one thirty nine and a half of Tennessee's.
Tennessee can shoot.
They don't I mean, Gillespie can.
They don't have a ton of shooting.
But I think it's a game that could go their way for sure.
Tennessee and Iowa State, the late game in Chicago tonight.
All right.
So good for tonight in the sweet 16 for us in the NCAA tournament.
We know Doug the matchups for tomorrow.
Elite eight on Saturday.
So the schedule that we will have for those is the early game at just after six o'clock east.
Will be Iowa and Illinois in Houston first game Illinois minus six and a half.
One thirty seven and a half is the total of course two teams that know each other well.
Yeah, I mean, that's the thing they've played in the regular season.
Obviously conference opponents and.
I think it's too many points.
I'd have to take the points with Iowa.
The Illinois size is a lot though.
I will say that it's a lot to handle for Iowa.
And you just wonder if Illinois is playing too strong and underwood.
But I think the late I think hot guys like never say die the resiliency.
All that good stuff is why.
I think you got to grab the six and a half points.
Yeah, you had to feel that whoever won that Iowa Nebraska game was going to be the team that's.
That's got that as I like to say the magic carpet ride, right?
They're the team that's got the.
You know, they've got the Cinderella slipper, the magic carpet ride hard to get off them.
Underwood showed me a little something last night.
Doug, you know, I get on him a lot.
I mean, they were missing a lot of free throws.
They were missing a lot of free throws for as well.
But winning that game in Houston against the Cougars shows me a little and I know Houston.
No, we weren't worried about that.
We were worried about late game execution in this back and forth game.
Not up 15 with five minutes ago.
Right.
It was it was comfortable for you will come that one came missed a billion free throws.
As well.
He just kept missing.
I think it's points with Iowa.
I think you want this is going to be.
And they think they played the game they played earlier in January was like four or five points.
But it's so that was so long ago.
I was a much different team now.
I think Illinois is too.
I think this is a game you're going to want points in, especially when it's that much.
Now on the other side, though, you have almost the same exact spread.
In fact, you do in San Jose just before nine o'clockies.
Purdue and Arizona.
This is a one versus a two and you get a six and a half.
153 and a half is the total.
But not all six and a halfs are made equally, Doug.
Are they?
No, no, they're not when there's a high scoring game.
We're so low scoring game.
Obviously the smaller slice of the pie.
I think this number is short.
I mean, who's betting Purdue?
Okay, it opened five and a half, touched seven.
So I guess there was some plus seven.
But after seeing both those games yesterday and Purdue eking it out with Texas.
Now, I talked to a sharp guy who thinks this number, this game is going to come down to the wire because Purdue is much better, much more buttoned up defensively than that knucklehead team of Arkansas.
That doesn't play a lick a D.
So I mean, Arizona to put up over a hundred points without really making a bunch of threes like it's crazy.
We just had a layup line in the paint.
You know, running like shell drills or whatever it was with trainers with like pads or something.
There was no one.
No resistance at the rim.
I guess the way to put it.
I think this should be a more conventional game.
Purdue's been shooting great.
They've gone over all three all three games in this tournament.
I was on the first two.
Just couldn't pull the trigger last night, but they got there.
I would lean to the favorite here, Arizona.
But this will be likely their toughest challenge for sure.
I like what you said at the beginning.
Who's betting Purdue with this?
I'm on Arizona.
I am pretty good.
They showed me something to last night.
The way that they just pulverized Arkansas.
And this is going to be listen, this is the top of the toughest challenge they face so far.
This is not Utah State.
This is not Arkansas.
This is a much different animal that they're going to play here tomorrow night.
But I'm going to go with Arizona.
I'm going to lay the points.
Tennessee could be a bad matchup for Iowa State.
Should be close, Henry says.
We shall see later.
Watching England.
Great to have you on the daily show today.
I did see that.
You stopped by with the AM crew today, right?
Yeah, the alarm clock works.
So I had to get up early in the rollout of bed.
No, I was actually playing herd under the weather late last night into today.
So not feeling great.
But it was great to be with the guys.
I've done it a couple times.
It's awesome.
Very casual.
They read a lot of comments like we do too.
But it's good to cross over.
You know, it's like the.
It's like when the NBA players set courtside for WMBA games.
Like there's crossover, right?
We're all helping each other out.
Well, I watched him of course yesterday morning before all those European World Cup qualifiers,
which of course did not go my way.
After we got done yesterday is Ireland lost in penalty kicks to checks,
which was just misery.
But it is what it is.
You got a shout out on the show.
You said they said they felt bad for you with Ireland.
Oh, it was brutal yesterday.
It really was.
I did see Henry in there.
I believe it was in the chat box mentioned the women's sweet 16,
which yes, is underway today.
And of course, Henry, we are going to get involved here.
I will tell you Notre Dame is up to 59 57 on Vandy,
as they are in the fourth quarter of the first game of the day.
They're in Fort Worth.
There are three other games today.
One in Fort Worth, two in Sacramento.
And of course, the first one, Doug, is going to have Yukon, number one Yukon,
back in at it today.
Man, a sweet 16 game in your life in 30 and a half.
That ain't so bad.
Why not?
Yeah, I don't know if their coach is going to complain about having to face Yukon in this region.
I think it's too high of a number.
I'm going to wait to play Carolina at some point.
I think that they sneak inside the number here.
It's a big number for a UNC team that's way more confident than the biggest,
but the usual opponents are the Huskies.
Yeah, that is a man's 30 and a half.
That is a lot.
The early game in Sacramento is Minnesota and UCLA.
UCLA is laying a pretty decent number here against the Gofers 19 and a half.
This is that now with a one point.
Yeah, I mean conference opponents.
I would lean to the dog here.
It's a lot of points.
A lot of points.
And I guess you could say the game of the night for the women's sweet 16 today would be the last one of the night in Sacramento.
And that is Duke and LSU with LSU minus 10 and a half 145 and a half total.
Yeah, they played earlier this year at Cameron and door.
And it was all LSU, but that was before the conference season.
And Duke is much better.
This number's gone up from 8 and a half to 9 and a half.
I'm on the over.
Okay, that's my only play today in the ladies.
Over 145.
I think LSU, you know, they want to push the pace, all that stuff.
I think Duke will run with them and do can shoot some threes.
As long as they the one of their bigs, their star players, or yay, stays out of foul trouble.
So a little late night up up up and away for you.
I'll blow out late night over 145.
Two teams from the Eastern time zone goes out west.
Yeah, yeah.
Why not?
Hey, we know what LSU likes to do, Doug.
Yeah, they want to put up 100 in like every game.
Light up that scoreboard.
The women's sweet 16.
Tomorrow, I will just tell you for everybody just so they know Louisville, Michigan, Kentucky, Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Virginia, TCU.
Are the four games tomorrow.
I know you had mentioned a couple days ago about Oklahoma and South Carolina.
That was one game.
You did say to kind of keep your eye on.
Yeah, I would take the points.
I would take the points there.
Yeah, which is up around the 17 and a half range here.
Maybe they went over time earlier this year, right?
Yes.
They certainly did.
So a huge weekend in college hoops.
We'll be back on Monday.
We'll know the final four.
It goes very, very quick for us.
Also, I believe wrapping up this weekend, the Miami open as well.

Gambler.
Okay.
NBA.
Big night here tonight.
We got a lot of games, 10 games in the NBA and don't forget coming up the game that Doug has had circled for a while.
We are going to get to that, but we always do the TV games first, which is actually NBA TV for this evening.
And they're giving you several options.
The first is heat at calves.
Caves minus five and a half.
Big toll 243 and a half.
So they just played each other.
This is like baseball season, right?
We got the, uh, the calves and so the same, yeah, same team, same site.
Right.
So the heat just won 120 to 103.
This calves team is such a joke.
But I like the heat first quarter.
I think they take it to them.
Usually we think like, oh, the calves lost at home.
They're going to get revenge.
I think that usually kicks in second half.
So I like Miami first quarter to score.
So like their first quarter team total, things like that.
And then the spread as well.
I just think it's a lot of firepower for Miami.
Yeah.
I mean, you had that kind of opinion of the calves all year and then they got hardened.
Yeah.
All right.
That's, that'll solve things.
That'll, that'll make your bit even more going in that direction.
Also NBA TV.
Uh, bowls and thunder tonight.
Uh, the thunder and this is healthy.
19 points.
Uh, growth.
239 flat.
19.
I think the bowls get dusted, but I'm not, you know, I'm not rush to lay this.
Uh, no chat home grin here.
Um, thunder obviously off of loss to the Celtics.
I just think the bowls offense is.
It's not that complex.
Let's call it.
Okay.
And I think the Thunder defense will respond.
I, I'd lay it before I took it.
Okay.
So there you go.
And the other NBA TV, maybe they give you a lot of options so that they can get out of the game.
If the Thunder are up 25, they can go to another game.
Uh, Mavericks and trailblazers in Portland.
Blazers minus 10 and a half.
240 flat.
That's all.
So this is interesting.
I have been on the maps is a big dog a few times.
I think this is.
It's funny, right?
They were laying 11 and a half in Denver at the same number.
It's not like the blazers and nuggets of the same power rating.
I.
I think the maps run through the tape, but I think they're kind of on, on, on.
Get on running on empty here.
I think the Blazers roll them.
I think there's a 15 point win.
15 point win for the Blazers coming up tonight.
All right.
Let's do the other games here.
Although you do have this written first and I actually, uh, this is a good.
I'm glad you wrote this because I did want to bring this up to you.
I had seen that the Wembee.
MVP odds.
Have really been, uh, they're on a little bit of a rocket ship right now, Doug.
Is that right?
The Wembee MVP?
Yeah.
I mean, Dremon had a rant, uh, after the game, but when they beat the net, the other night.
And he's like, you know, Wembee is saying like it's some philosophical, like, defense is 50% of the game.
And it's like, oh, my God.
Like, no, you know, of course it should be, but you guys haven't wanted to.
He's like, so I love that he said it, but he goes, I also hate that he had to say it.
And that's interesting to me that the way that, uh, Dremon phrase that.
So, um, I think this SGA, I think there's voter fatigue, there's foul baiting.
And the spurs are like a game back or whatever it is, two games back.
So I think it's, they're close enough in the standings that.
Um, I think that plays a significant role.
I, I've been telling people about Wembee all year, uh, you know, last, like a couple of weeks.
So I'd like to see it.
I mean, 375 now.
I, I feel like in the last month.
I wouldn't bet it.
I wouldn't bet it right now.
No.
And obviously, Shay, we had what minus 2,000 at some point.
The other day, yeah, the big difference is Shay has played so many more minutes.
And I think that's, that might hurt Wembee.
I mean, he came off the bench for like 12 games or something.
I'm sorry.
If the spurs finish ahead of the thunder.
Oh, yeah, but I don't think they will.
Right.
And that's, that's the tough part of getting to that area.
That's why tonight.
That's why I think tonight they might be good to lay the night.
Want to lay it first quarter, first half kind of thing.
Uh, other games this evening.
The rockets are in Memphis against the grids tonight.
Rockets, of course, coming off that wild game.
I guess you could say with the timber wolves the other night.
Right.
13 and a half with the rockets on the road.
227 and a half.
That's all.
I think you got to do rockets first quarter, first half.
I think it's a horrific losses.
And I think you just got to lay it.
Memphis is kind of a joke.
I mean, they just played Wembee.
Right.
And they were down like 20 after one.
So I would play the rockets first quarter.
I mean, look, Grizzlies are frisky.
We've talked about them.
But I just think the talent takes over here.
Yeah, it seems that way.
And you're getting rockets kind of in that little bit of a spot
where they should be angry.
I guess you could say at some point.
Clippers tonight in Indiana against the Pacers.
Of course, these two teams made one of the bigger trades.
I guess you could say of the deadline.
Clippers minus nine on the road.
238 and a half the total.
I mean, what a cover by the Pacers the other night.
The toilet bowl three that goes in for top in.
Really just wild, wild finish there when they were 25 point game
in the fourth quarter.
I think the Clippers blow them out.
You got a Ben Matherin, a revenge game.
Maybe some of his props to Pacers have been a nice story.
And they're usually terrible coming off like big effort games.
And I thought they put forth a lot of effort against the Lakers.
So I would play the Clippers here.
Clippers minus nine tonight.
The Celtics are an action against the Hawks.
So a little tester for the Hawks here,
of course, have been playing really well.
Celtics minus four and a half to 25 and a half.
Okay, so this is interesting.
Jalen Brown's out with some tendonitis in his Achilles.
So I don't know if this is not a rest day.
So that's worth mentioning.
This Hawks team is pretty good.
Celtics aren't the same without Brown,
but Tatum's going to gun a lot.
I don't know.
I think that's a good lead Hawks here.
You know, that still be in four and a half with Brown not playing.
That's telling to me.
I kind of like the Hawks to dog.
That's a little NBA play for me tonight.
They're Hawks tonight in Boston.
Here it is.
The Raptors.
They are at home for the Pelicans this evening.
Of course, these two teams just played a couple of weeks ago.
The NAG Raptors minus nine to 28 and a half.
Alright, so overnight, this number was like eight, eight and a half.
Now it's nine.
This is about a narrative.
A revenge angle.
So a couple of weeks ago,
a little over two weeks ago, they played each other and Dijante-Murray
had a big game.
They blew him out by like 20 and the having final margin was like 11,
but Dijante-Murray did like a step back three and Jamal Shed was
playing defense and tense defense sort of stumbled over his own feet.
stuck the jumper in his face and then stared him down.
We had the video for you.
And it was more of a stumble, but Murray's fired up,
because remember, he's coming off a Killy's tent
in surgery, he's fired up, but he's taunting,
standing over Jamal Shed and no whistle, by the way.
And we've talked about this Toronto coach, Darko,
who's intense and everything.
And he said, we watched the video as a team
and that's not how you defend your teammates and everything.
I literally put a reminder in my phone, I go,
I hope they play each other again this year
and they do thank God.
And so this is the revenge angle of all revenge angles.
So now the weird thing is Murray's out for this game
and so is Trey Murphy.
So they're really shorthanded.
And that's why the number is so high.
Also, back to back, so they went,
I was hoping they'd win like an overtime game in Detroit.
Like that's what I was hoping for.
But they got blown out.
I just think they're running on empty right now.
They're disinterested.
And I think they're kind of checked out the pelicans.
So we've talked about Toronto having an inflated home court.
I think they blast them.
I think first quarter, first half is like the best way
to go game as well.
I think they want this game.
And so the last time they faced it,
you know, Jamal Shed and everything,
they played the sons the next game at home, the Raptors did.
And then they won that game outright
as a three and a half point dog.
So I thought they responded to that,
which I think was a good sign.
So I'm looking for that as well here.
Yeah, and I know he's not playing Murray, Doug, but still,
he's gonna be sitting there and they want blood.
As they're up 30,
they're gonna be staring him down on the bench saying,
you did this.
This is why they're gonna be giving the best.
Yeah, I mean, I still think the pelicans care enough, first of all.
Like they checked out, they got,
they got hit in the mouth by Detroit last night.
And again, no, no, no kidding.
So I just think they'll crumble a little bit.
I mean, they were missing free throws last night.
I think they're just checked out with the long road trip
or whatever it is.
The jazz are in Denver.
We got a couple of really big spreads
besides that Thundergate.
Nuggets are 19 at home against the jazz.
248 and a half.
It's a big number.
Master of the obvious here.
I think it's too big of a number
because the jazz are getting sense of ball back.
And we've got some crazy stuff going on at the end of this game.
So sense of ball is back.
And I think we do over his threes.
I just think that the nuggets are not bearing teams.
They're not putting them away.
I think they're playing with their food a lot.
And so the jazz will keep coming at you.
There's the jazz down so many like good players.
It's just like, what's left?
So they have Cody Williams ace Bailey
and Bryce sets a ball.
That's it.
I mean, there's a philipowski in there
but Harkless busts his tail.
I think over three and a half May threes.
I think he'll get like nine attempts, 10 attempts.
Well, maybe even 11.
And he's a knockdown shooter.
And when there's Bailey and Cody Williams out there
to take some attention away,
this Denver team doesn't play much defense.
So I leaned to the dog and I'd lead.
You know, I like sense of ball over three and a threes.
All right, sense of ball there for tonight.
Frankie the fixer blazers games hit over the total 12,
12 in a row is home favorites.
Wow, blazer games.
Wasn't Wembee a big number like last week?
Yes, Steve, he was 13, you won a couple days ago.
Yeah, he was in the teens.
Early thoughts on who wins the NIT.
No.
Auburn, Illinois state is the final four.
They must, that must be next week, right?
Well, well, they're off of the.
But they usually do that like Monday, Wednesday kind of thing.
Yeah, under when Brown doesn't play.
Is that for the Celtics?
I would assume they're David.
Under for the Celtics when Brown.
Tatum's like Doug said, Tatum's going to fire.
Oh, that's right.
So when Jalen Brown doesn't play,
the Celtics opponent's team total goes under every game.
Hmm.
OK.
Jazz Nugget sounds like a groovy breath for breakfast cereal.
It certainly does.
I got two more.
Both have high numbers.
The Wizards, gold state tonight against the Warriors, 13 and a half, 232.
Interesting game.
Wizards just blew out the jazz and you talk.
Warriors terrible as a favorite.
I like the Wiz early, first quarter, first half.
I would only play the Wiz in this game.
The Wiz and finally, the Lakers are home tonight just after 1030 East.
They have the Nets in town, 17 for the Lakers, 224.
It's too many.
It's too many.
Mattia, they'll play hard.
Lakers got the old Malinsky special first game home after a long road.
I would play the Nets first quarter, first half.
I really would.
I was just going to say, then they just come back from the East.
They were there for a while.
Yeah, this could be a good night to catch a big number with Brooklyn.
That's your Friday night action.
Any games that matter over the weekend.
Pistons T-Wolves Saturday on ABC, Doug.
Should be a good one.
You can have the T-Wols.
I like the Pistons first quarter and first half.
Again, teams coming off big wins, flat spot.
Look at Iowa last night, right?
Like at T-Wols, they closed the game on a 15-nothing run
when they were down 13.
It's insane.
So I don't think they start strong at all.
Nick's Thunder Sunday night on NBC also.
That's your NBC Sunday night games.
Nick's in the Thunder in OKC, that one.
Warriors, Nuggets as well.
I guess NBC's doing two, a double header on Sunday night.
They will have Sunday night basketball instead of Sunday night football.
Yes, there it is.

Everyone loves the Bedding Zoo with Steve.
So check it out on the Bedding Weekly Studios channel.
Must see TV.
I'm sure Arthur made an appearance on the Bedding Zoo, too, right, Doug?
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah.
He picked a winner, I believe, in the snack pick.
There you go.
Baseball.
Yankees and Giants are starting now, I believe.
There is one late afternoon game, early afternoon,
if you're out in San Francisco, of course.
With the Yankees and the Giants,
they just get and go in Robby Ray today against Cam Schlitler.
Of course, they had a day off yesterday
after the Yankees won on opening night.
But we have our first set of Friday night games, Doug.
Apple TV is back.
They got two games.
There's always on Friday nights.
Angels and Astros this evening, as it will be burrows
for the Astros and Kakuchi is going for the Angels tonight,
eight and a half to total Astros a sizable favorite.
Okay, so Bedding Trends,
typically when a team with a, as big chalk,
like this is, loses on opening day,
don't assume they get it back,
because two reasons for that.
One is the market just may be wrong
on this team slash pitcher.
And the other concern is the underdog
might be better than you guys realize.
So it's not like football and basketball,
like we've talked about some of these revenge angles
or whatever.
Baseball is like, you don't just like hit the guy harder,
like football, like it's just different animal.
So it's angels are passed for me.
I would not be laying that kind of chalk.
Yeah, and look, we talked about the Astros
before the season, I played him as an under.
I don't think they're going to be as good
as they've been the last few years.
And I don't know if that number
necessarily reflects yet,
the books reflect it that the Astros might not be as good
as they've been the last couple of years, right?
That 182 is Astros over the last five, 10 years.
It's kind of...
Yeah, they used last year's stats as a baseline.
Now, a lot of it is player driven or whatever,
but it's just one of those things.
Well, this game does have my long ball for tonight, though, too.
It does.
So we have got, and look,
I'm thinking it's going to be a bounce back
in the year for Yordon Alvarez.
He was riddled with injuries last year.
The one thing that he really does like to do though, Doug,
he loves when Kakuichi's on the mound.
Is that right?
He's 352.
He's got a lot of it bats against him.
He's 352 in his career with three homers off of Kakuichi.
So plus 300 for Yordon tonight.
He's on my card.
I'll be playing them, not the best bet,
but I'll be playing Yordon a homer tonight, though.
Okay, former Dodger, by the way, that is Yordon.
Freddie Freeman missed last night.
I mean, he crushed that ball.
The exit Velo on it, Doug, was incredible.
He smashed it.
He barreled it, and we just came up short.
He really did.
I thought it was gone when it was left the bat.
I wanted that one bad to start the year.
The late night game on Apple TV is,
and Henry says,
Astros are washed of game one of any
to go by shut out by a journeyman.
Well, get ready.
Kakuichi might mow them down tonight.
You never know in that aspect.
Let's go right now to the late one,
which is Mariners and Guardians,
and surprising last night that the ball was flying out
in Seattle, a place that usually don't get a lot of home runs.
You don't get a lot of runs.
It was six and a half was the total last night.
Tonight we get a flat seven.
You have Kirby going for the Mariners this evening.
I believe it's Bobby for the for the Guardians.
Gavin Williams.
Oh, Williams, that's our Bible in last night.
167 for the Mariners tonight.
Same thing.
I talked about the big chalk,
not like you would think all Mariners will bounce back.
They can't start out.
Oh, and too. Why not?
I'd take Gavin Williams plus 133 all day
if I had to play this.
Yeah.
And there's a juicy number on Jose Ramirez to Homer.
I didn't pick him.
Six balls flying.
Six for 12 with a homer off of Kirby in his career.
And the ball was flying out a little bit in Seattle.
So keep that in mind.
If you get a little frisky tonight at 945 up in Seattle,
elsewhere this evening.
I did mention the Yankees are playing.
Did you like anything in the Yankees giant stuff for today?
I lean yanks.
I like this, this youngster.
He's 50 to one or higher around for Saiyong.
Why not?
I don't think much of this giant's team.
The Yankees, you know, small ball won the other night.
Why not?
Why not indeed?
Late night San Diego, the Tigers, of course,
got scuba yesterday, got themselves a win.
Now they'll go with their new free agent acquisition.
Framber Valdez tonight for Detroit.
And he's plus one or two.
Padres have Michael King, seven and a half the total.
So I like King a lot.
Like he obviously came from the Yankees in the big trade.
I think under first five is the way to go.
First five under is the way.
It's a low number, three and a half.
But that's how I would play this because I think Valdez and King
will be, I don't think this Tigers often
solve a sudden 27 Yankees.
So I'm OK with going under even after last night's performance.
Under first five, three and a half,
I've got an under first five for you as well, Doug.
How about that?
Dodgers and Diamondbacks tonight.
Now I know we had the under in the first five there last night.
And at first I looked at this and I went Ryan Nelson
and Emmett Shea, and this could be runs.
Maybe not.
Nelson's pitched three times.
He obviously sees that Dodgers a lot.
Three times at Dodger Stadium in the past two years.
He's got an ERA under one and a half in those starts.
Shean seven starts at Dodger Stadium last year.
He wasn't great on the road.
He was excellent at home, ERA under one and a half.
Maybe these two guys come up, put some zeros up.
And it's a four and a half.
I'm going to go under four and a half first five, Diamondbacks Dodgers.
That Dodger line of it's dangerous to do.
I was thinking under for the game.
So in terms of the run line, I only
want to do it when the Dodgers are facing a righty, which
they are in terms of the run line.
And then I want to back like a great pitcher like Yamamoto.
I just think she hands like not special per se.
You mentioned the home splits.
Certainly a solid play in that regard.
But I'd be careful laying the big lumber here with the Dodgers.
The D-backs have some hitters like we touched on.
They had to do nothing late, but this Dodgers lineup is relentless.
Dodger lineup is relentless.
And I thought about under for the game, Doug,
but the only thing that shied me away from that
was I think the Arizona bullpen stinks.
And I think that that's you saw it last night.
And I'm not even going just off of last night.
I'm just going in general.
So that's why I didn't want to go the full way with it.
Because I think we can get by the first five
with a low scoring game like last night.
I'd be worried when that door opens out in the outfield.
And those guys start coming in from Arizona.
So that's the one thing that kind of shied me away
from the entire game.
Elsewhere tonight, I'll just give you
the quick list of everything else going on.
First game for the A's and the Blue Jays.
They're in Toronto, Luis Severino and Kevin Gossman there.
Minus 195 for the Jays.
A's plus a buck 50.
You know, weird with the A's.
And I can't remember if they did this a lot last year, Doug,
but you know, they got the big guy hitting lead.
Kurt's hitting lead off tonight.
You know, Tony bats lead off.
Yeah, that's true.
They get the big fell out there.
He does get on base a lot.
Colorado and Miami are playing their first game tonight as well.
They haven't started yet.
Kyle Freeland and Sandy Al Contra.
I mean, minus two bills for the Marlins, Doug.
Well, I know it's Al Contra, and I know I like the Marlins over,
but minus 200.
Yeah, he's not good enough for that.
That's a lot.
Royals and Braves also playing for the first time tonight.
Cole Reagan's in Chris sale in Atlanta.
Braves minus a buck 59.
Loads total seven and a half.
These totals are low.
Doug, we saw a lot of runs yesterday on opening day.
Yeah, I mean, sales lights out sometimes.
So I'd be careful.
I don't like this Royals picture that much.
So that would be my apprehension there.
Yes, it would.
There are Cole Reagan's this evening.
There are your games for tonight.
Not a full slate because they give most of the outdoor teams
yesterday, the day off today, right?
Doug, in case it rains, so that way they could have played today.
They do that a little buffer on opening day and on Friday.
But Saturday is a full go.
The first full day of baseball with everybody playing get excited.
That's a lot of action on Saturday, a lot, a lot going on.
It's tons of stuff happening for us.
It really starts to open up.
There's MLB eight games for us tonight.
We're not done, Doug.
I promise you, we are not done.
Let's go to the ice now.
Dougy pucks for this evening.
Only two games.
What a weird week, right?
Monday was one.
Wednesday was two Fridays too.
And then Tuesday and Wednesday had like 13, 14, 15 games a piece.
So very strange scheduling from the NHL.
Our sabers are in action tonight.
They are at home against the Red Wings.
They're pretty obviously decent.
They're minus one 55.
Red Wings plus a buck 28, flat six.
Now, they need to get going here.
They lost the last two games.
I know in overtime, they got points in both of them.
But we need a nice regulation win for the sabers tonight, Doug.
That's what we really need.
Well, thankfully, the lightning loss yesterday.
So that's nice.
But they got a point.
They did get a point.
So the lightning are now favored to win the division.
Not what we want, but it's better than getting two points.
So there are minus 143.
I agree.
We need a sabers win here.
But you just won your once a team cools off.
You wonder if they lost that edge in that mojo.
Sabers, three-way regulation plus 102 tonight.
I think I'm just going to stand on the fact
that we just want the sabers to win.
That's enough for me.
We kind of have action in this one, because we
need them to extend back out to three points here tonight.
And Detroit needs the game bad, too.
They're in the mix.
They're in that mix of five or six teams
in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
So should be a good one there.
Now, the other game is the Black Hawks and the Rangers.
I almost fell out of my chair this morning, Doug.
When I saw the Rangers, it was minus 177 at home.
And I mean, the Black Hawks have had some win.
They beat the Ioners the other night at the horse track.
They've beaten Utah three times in the last month.
They beat plus 145 for the Black Hawks tonight.
I mean, they've been playing better, but come on.
Playing, I can't.
You can't play this game.
You just can't.
You can't be involved.
Enjoy if you're going to the Garden tonight
for the Black Hawks and the Rangers.
I just can't get there.
Total's of flat six.
Any games in note this weekend,
I will tell you the Sabers play again.
So back to Sabers play tomorrow also against the Kraken
in Buffalo.
Man, win in a lightning play again.
We're going to have too many games in hand.
You know, they play the Senators tomorrow
afternoon, Matt and A game in Tampa.
Senators are on fire too.
Well, they lost last night at Pittsburgh.
And the lightning play the Predators on Sunday.
So the lightning playing Saturday Sunday this weekend.
Bruins Blue Jackets on Sunday also a big game in terms
of where everybody is in the standings.
Flyers Red Wings on ABC on Saturday afternoon for us there.
There's your hockey, Doug.
Not as exciting when there's only two games, right?
Yeah.
Can't have it.
Can't have it for us.
All right, it is time.
The best bets and the daily double for this evening
here on Betting Weekly Live.
I am going to go to baseball here.
I kind of mentioned it.
I really like this first five under
in Los Angeles between the Diamondbacks and the Dodgers.
It's four and a half Nelson really good numbers
when he's pitched on the road at Dodger Stadium.
I know he's a righty and that's tough.
But I think we can get him at least through five innings here.
She and at home has been excellent for the Dodgers last year
and seven starts under four and a half first five Diamond
backs Dodgers for me though.
All right, so no sweet 16 action after last night.
Yeah, Nebraska hurt me and you know what?
I don't know like I'm not sure which there's nothing
out of those four games, Doug, that I feel so much better
than of anything else.
Like I just I can't play the St. John's game.
And the other three games are, you know, it's tough.
Maybe the over in Michigan would be the closest thing
I would think on any of the four games tonight.
Yeah, I mean, it should be a really good game.
So that's why I can understand the apprehension for sure.
What do you got for me?
Well, I'm going to go to the Raptors.
I've been talking about it for a few days.
They should absolutely drop the hammer here on the Pelicans.
Just lay it.
I look, Pelicans are down two starters.
If Jeremiah fears goes off and Zion goes off so be it,
I just think Toronto's going to be so buttoned up
and be ready to attack and you know,
they're going to want to send it, you know,
you want to align your bet with what the team wants.
That's why people will argue money,
line bets are better than spread.
But I think they want to drop the hammer and win by a lot.
So I think that's why I like land the eight and a half here.
So Raptors minus eight and a half in a good revenge spot
against the Pelicans Dodgers diamondbacks under first five
at four and a half plus two fifty three.
Okay.
For the daily double tonight, that has been our sweet spot.
Two forty five to two fifty five has been where we have done
our most damage and I want to get one going into the weekend.
Friday nights have been good to us, Doug,
into the weekend with a daily double.
They have.
Let's let's let's take care of business here.
Let's please do that, which would be fun.
Doug Tremendous job, as always, as you said,
it's a very busy weekend.
So get yourself ready.
Now we have a full slate.
Steve says, so just yored on for your daily dinner.
I mean, I'm not going to, I'm not going to flood with a whole,
but there's a couple others I do like Steve
that I'll probably tweet out, but for here,
I don't want to go two nuts with the homers.
I like yored on the most.
Let's just put it that way.
And I think I also kind of drop the breadcrumbs
that I'm going to play Jose Ramirez in Seattle against Kirby
with the way the ball was flying out last night,
because he was like 600 at Bat Rivers earlier today,
like plus 600, so.
Could be a nice little poke.
Doug, I'll see you back Monday, 4 p.m. East, 1 p.m. Pacific.
As we get ready, we will know the final four.
We will have a lot of baseball, NBA, NHL, as we usually do.
Enjoy all the games this weekend.
