Caleb Downs Leads Cowboys' 2026 Draft Class

On May 1st, Dallas Cowboys just inked 6 out of their 7 picks from the 2026 NFL draft

led by first-round safety Caleb Downs on his 4-year rookie contract.

They traded up one spot with Miami to grab Downs 11th overall, handing him $28,950,000

fully.

Guaranteed, including a $17,500,000 signing bonus, and a fifth-year team option, Downs dominated

the college, earning two-time consensus.

Jim Thorpe and Lottrophies during stints at Alabama and Ohio State.

The squad also signed third-round linebacker, J. Sean Baram, fourth-round tackle, Drew Shelton,

fourth-round cornerback, Devon Moore, fourth-round edge, Russia LT Overton, and seventh-round

wide receiver, Anthony Smith.

Only other first-rounder edge-rusher Malachi Lawrence from the 23rd pick remains unsigned

as Dallas builds out this promising class.
