On May 2nd, a week after the NFL draft, six out of the Dallas Cowboys seven rookie

picks got their deals done quick.

Only first round safety, Caleb Downs was holding out.

But now he's locked in too, with rookie can kicking off smooth and every newbie showing

up ready.

Downs burst on the scene as an 18-year-old freshman at Alabama, racking up over a hundred

tackles and earning all American honors.

After transferring to Ohio State, he dominated two seasons, snagged a national title, and

picked up two unanimous all-American nods plus Big Ten.

Defensive player of the year in 2025.
