California’s AB 1333: The Attack on Your Right to Self-Defense

California is facing a dangerous shift in self-defense laws with AB 1333, a bill introduced by Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur that would change the state from a Castle Doctrine state to a Duty to Retreat state. This means law-abiding citizens would be legally required to consider fleeing before defending themselves, creating dangerous hesitation in life-or-death situations while doing nothing to stop criminals.
