Cameron Carr and Adou Thiero are Summer League Standouts. Ready for Lakers Rotation?

The Summer League Lakers are undefeated in Las Vegas, cemented by Thursday's 102-85 beatdown of the Chicago Bulls. Tournament play awaits, but in the bigger picture, could the stars of this team play actual roles with the big club? Who are the main characters in question?

First-round rookie Cameron Carr, whose three-level scoring, off-ball comfort, wingspan, and refined athleticism make him feel likely (if not probable) to be in next season's rotation.

Second-year player Adou Thiero, whose explosive strength is still in the raw stages, has increasingly played under better control while still overwhelming opponents on both ends of the floor.

Two-way contract holder Chris Mañon, whose offense hasn't quite caught up to last season's first-team All-Defense status with the G-League, but has shown more flashes.

G-League returnee Arthur Kaluma, who keeps making his case for a two-way deal of his own.

 

It's always wise to take the Summer League with a grain of salt... but getting excited over these standouts is understandable.
